front and rear turn signals would be nice. is there a reason why the headlights in these bikes are all connected to the fender instead of to the frame? if it’s the cables, they could probably arrange the cable management. on the fender you got a lot of road vibration and movement with the suspension.
I feel like most electronics are obsolete after 7 months and companies need to keep improving. Same with cars and phones etc. Now that it's nice out just try to enjoy your bike best you can.!! Positive thinking. Or, you could sell your current model, which is basically brand new. Put it towards the next model.
I'm on the fence, one of my bikes is speed based, and the other one is power-based, speed based is definitely better on difficult mountain bike trails, because it will give you full power at low speed, when it's needed for steep inclines,
Love seeing the competition and continual upgrades in the ebike world! I've got the previous model Freedom and really like it - I hope they go to a 72V setup next and can give me the ability to cruise consistently at 40mph for when I need to around town in traffic - but also still have the ability to ride slow at like 8mph on trails. That's the dream for me, ultimate commuter+pleasure bike at that point! While I'm at it making suggestions (in case they read this), here are some other things they might consider: - ADD MOUNTING HOLES FOR A FRONT RACK PLEASE! - Turn signals included (but make them off the shelf, easily replaceable standardized ones. No proprietary integrated turn signals please because they can break if the bike falls over.) - Change that display so polarized glasses don't affect it. - Give me more PAS levels, maybe like 7 instead of 5. So I have more granularity in speed levels. But also let me customize how many PAS levels I want enabled. So if I want 3 levels I can have that, or all 7 if I want. - Put more charge lights on the batteries. I like to charge my battery up to ~80-90% to preserve the life on it. With only 4 lights on the battery itself, I can't easily tell what percentage it's at. It could be at 51% or 70% and I can't tell without putting it in the bike and turning it on. - Maybe a tire upgrade for the speeds we're starting to get up to? I wouldn't want that to increase the weight a whole bunch though...so I'm not sure on this one. - On the topic of weight, I think we're nearly at the maximum weight for an ebike. Like, 110lbs with batteries installed should be the absolute max. Otherwise we're starting to get into motorbike territory. And no more than 90lbs without batteries IMO.
Charge the battery while it's in the bike. Turn on the controller, and you'll see the voltage level. Stop charging when you're happy. That's how I check.
All good stuff, Citizen. The second charger and seatpost are thoughtful additions by Wired. One other point about battery combiners is that they also work even if the batteries are at different charge levels. It will just use the battery with the most voltage until it drops to the same charge level as the other battery, and then it will draw from both batteries.
Thanks, was wondering about that! Was also wondering if the bike can run off of just the rear battery, the main battery not installed. And for that matter, if you could have the rear battery in its dock but not all the way seated. As a side note, for those of us that want a bicycle/motorcyle for riding in street traffic, this bike has the acceleration and top speed to be safe in traffic, but if you're talking 50-75 or more miles running at 30-40mph, the range test I saw at higher speeds indicated that it'd take TWICE as much battery power to go 75 miles. It's just a matter of time that this new hybrid bike/motorcycle will start appearing. Bikes like the Cruiser could conceivably have a second 20ah battery mount on the TOPSIDE of the main battery!
@randalgoat Yes, you could run it on just the rear battery. But since that pack is 15ah, it's not going to be happy trying to run the 48 amp controller at full power. Even the front 20ah battery will have significant voltage drop under load while trying to supply full power by itself. The combined 35ah of the batteries is the way to use the bike. That will let the batteries live a longer life and supply better performance while you ride. I think a realistic range estimate for this bike is 50-55 miles at a steady 35mph.
@@jimmyjames8736 Hmmmmm.... please elaborate on why running both batteries at once will help to reduce the voltage drop under load. Would you get the same performance if you were using just 1 battery, but a 35ah battery-? Yes, I've heard that sharing the load btw 2 batteries help keep it running cooler and has less wear on the battery, but you're saying it also makes it a stronger performer (greater acceleration and top speed)-? Also, do you have insights on where the performance gains for acceleration and top speed come from? Apparently, WF got better performance simply by using a 45amp controller instead of the original 40amp. And I heard somebody mention how zippy their ebikes were because they used high drain/current cells. I'm asking 'cause I've bn wondering about building a 3000-5000w hub motor bike at 72V and have bn wondering how big the controller would need to be and even if the QUANTITY of batteries would make a performance difference beyond giving you a longer range. Any other things to optimize motor performance with batteries/controller/?? There's another reviewer, Maximum Charge?, who did a distance check, and with the 20ah battery he got about 20 miles running it hard- that's about a mile per ah! That's the problem with these higher powered motors, the batteries don't begin to keep up for any distance. I grew up riding motorcycles, so every ebike I've had so far seems very underpowered!
For the range test - max the rated weight, find the steepest hill, and go up and down that hill till your battery goes bye-bye. I can't rely on 'best case scenerio' I want to see the worts case scenerio
New potential Wired Customers. I Suggest you read Wired’s Warrantee and Company Policy Statements. They State that their Warrantee is VOID if you change the Speed Configuration higher than 20 MPH!! SURPRISE!!! They will Not Warrant Your New Bike!!! Also, IT has just learned that Hentach Motors will Not Warrant their motor if Wired use a 45 AMP Controller. More Bad News. I would call Wired Offices to Verify what I just told you. Good Luck!!!
Ecells people get outta here you ecells people are obsessed with wired and your ecells sales. The ones that copy the only freedom will always be a step behind.
Why not use the mount they have without holes in the bike? There have to be a bunch of baskets on Amazon that would fit like the basket they sell in their store.
Awesome vid, thanks for the follow up details. I actually have a question I'm pretty sure only you can answer - wired chat support didn't seem to know the answer. How much space is between the rear air shock and the frame gap that it's housed in? Would it be possible to put a D-lock or chain through there? I only ask because using the rear triangle to lock up the step-through seems sketchy since its just the rear suspension bolts keeping the lock in place (instead of a fully enclosed welded frame space).
How is "power-based" significantly better than "speed-based"? With speed-based, at least you would know what speed you would end up at in each PAS setting. With power-based, wouldn't 50% power be different on flat ground vs hills? Wouldn't torque sensor always be better in giving you more precise control of your own speed?
Back in January of this year I got the freedom in black because the cruiser in white didn't have rear suspension. Now that the freedom comes in white and the cruiser has rear suspension, my new dilemna now is the lime green paint job is starting to look more and more appealing🤣
Hello Citizen. A lot of people aren't sure where to turn on the wobble issue, is it something that only affects very few bikes and the story is blowing up is there more to it? Does the wobble affect only the Freedom. We watch your videos for guidance when making a purchase so your insight into this would be much appreciated. Thanks.
he did a wobble test video, he couldn't duplicate it with the front battery only but managed to with the rear battery installed not sure if you saw the vid yet. apparently you need to re tigten some of the suspension
Does anybody know.......Does Wired offer an optional less aggressive nobby tire more for street and mild offroad? I notice in your video the bike shakes a bit either because of the lobby tires or the suspension. There is quite a bit of noise coming from the tires. That would be annoying on a long street ride. My current bike has aggressive knobbies as well but not as much noise, for some reason. Maybe it's the recording that exaggerates the noise.
The bike makers are not the place to get tires. Ebay and Amazon are your best options for fat tires. You might like Vee Tire Speedsters for a pavement oriented tire. I like their Zigzag model too. Both of them are very quiet on pavement. The Zigzag is heavier than a Speedster and doesn't accelerate as well but it has thicker tread. The thicker tread helps with durability and flat prevention. I probably sound like a Vee Tire salesman, but our fat tire brand choices are sadly limited. I haven't had good luck with Kendas. Their Krusade model is loud and flats easy. Their Juggernaut model is the loudest tire I have ridden. Some of my Kendas weren't even round, and I consider that an unforgivable thing to fail at when making a tire. I have started sending emails to Michelin trying to get them to start making 20x4 and 26x4 fat tires. I use Michelins on all my bikes with normal sized tires and they work great.
The noise you hear is the sloppy suspension set up rattling. It is not as well engineered as some of its competitors. Price you pay for a couple of lawyers who have only been producing e-bikes for a couple of years. It will take them a few years to make adjustments.
Can you show more footage of traveling in fields, hills, farmland type reviews to utilize for hunting. Carry capacity either tree stand, backpack or fellow hunter.
About to pull the trigger, kind of want a e bike for getting to work each day that will have no problem on hills. Do you think this one is the best price to performance?
Also, was just thinking. If you ride a flat trail, with the percentage adjustment on the PAS internal settings, you can dial in an exact mph for a given PAS setting, sort of like cruise control while peddling.
Why bother? He already has two old Wired bikes with the exact same drivetrain. The e cells is slower with less power and acceleration than the new model. Interesting how e smells never had a RWD bike or a 60v before but somehow Wired copied e cells?
I'm curious, the distance between the rear rack and the saddle is pretty small. Does the rear rack hit the back of the seat when the rear shock is fully compressed? Would you be able to test it on the prototype Wired Cruiser?
Thanks for answering the PAS power vs set speed question. I'd asked before, and now we know. At least our efforts are now measurable. Including top end.
I want that bike so bad .iam still trying to figure out how to get it shipped to Canada. I might have to look closer at Ecells they say they can ship to Canada .so one way or another iam getting another new bike 😊
Thanks for the great content. Got the lime green Cruiser on the way thanks to your videos. Worth the wait I'm sure but gonna be a long summer waiting. More content on the new Cruiser, please. You've got the only one....how's that gorgeous new step-through frame? Anything more to say about the new Cruiser, specifically, but all your content's great. Thanks!
Thank you Boss man! Yes I ordered a Lime Green Cruiser to go with my (old) 2024 Green Wired Freedom. One complaint I had with the 2024 Freedom, and that many others called out as well, was that the fenders rattled. I actually removed mine and like the look without the fenders (on the Freedom). But some other TH-camrs removed bolts and inserted rubber washers to the mounting points to smooth out the fenders. Do you know if this has been addressed?
That front fender and headlight mounting is a horrible design that should have never made it to production. Those are just two examples of how chintzy the Wired bikes really are.
I've had my Freedom fore about 4 months... I love it!!! But I'm so tempted to get this new one for more power, range, and netter brakes!!! Do you think it's worth it to do so? Or perhaps I'll wait a year for the next version? Any thoughts? thank you!!! : )
*This Wired bike has NO guard on the chainring* And its a generic frame many brand names offer (like PuckiPuppy). I wish Fat bikes weren't emphasized so much. Plus size tire bikes are more practical for street
@@CitizenCycle925 XLNT real user feedback. Thank you. You do really good testing vids. May I suggest an additional test parameter? For those of us who have no garages, it would be great to know how difficult it is to carry the bike up stairs. Thanks!
I have a question. For the early version of the 2024 wired freedom owners. Do you know or if not can you find out if we will be able to get the new rear rack with battery and a balancer and the necessary hardware in a accessory package to install on our previous 2024 model from wired ? It would definitely be nice to add to our bikes.
Honestly after having a bike with the “set wattage” cadence sensor like this one has, a torque necessary seems unnecessary to me. It would be better sure but when the bike just assists you with a different wattage level depending on assistance level, it feels pretty good.
I used to have a Chinese fatbike "samebike XP" with cadence sensor. Now I have a speed pedelec Qwic RD11 with torque sensor....don't feel much difference
I have the 2023 Cruiser and the only thing I don't like is the tail end of the bike. I feels less stability, not like a hardtail. Does this cruiser feel the same?
Great handlebar, thank you. Some bikes have no adjustment (duh). The front sprocket size ALWAYS needs to be stated and emphasized, regardless the top speed. 48T is obsolete, 52T was/is less obsolete, now I'm counting 12 teeth per fifth of the sprocket = 60 teeth on the front sprocket ???!!! Jeepers, could be 60T now and that has only one drawback - clearance is reduced, and you have to watch the size of boulders and steps you roll over. Nice that the headlight follows the turn. Blinker is missed by some people who want at least a safety blink going on. Maybe the brake light will blink? Some bikes have a strong enough rack to carry a passenger. Some have foot pegs. The logic to these is important, if you have an need to transport someone you need the seat strength and pegs. I will bet the "frame flex" is almost none - the suspension is deceptive and 99.99% of the flex is to the rear. Battery box toward the front tire is always a concern... stones, mud, rain... but you could (I certainly would) add a canvas cover with velcro closure all around for added protection. Then I like it better. Finally, what is the thickness of the brake discs? Hopefully 5mm and not 3mm. In my opinion the water porting is excessive and weakens the disc ring so much it is easy to bend with a typical bump to a stump. Maybe there is a stronger disc at 203mm diameter that can be swapped. Hands down, I would buy this bike as it is. Bonus - we get a torque sensor? Wow. One last wish: folding, so I can put it inside my RV - and I would pay more to have it fold.
Speed based PAS, Cadence is by far the best. If you want to go 30kmh, you still want to go 30kmh uphill. You also want to get back up to 30kph asap after a slowdown (full power when accelerating). Manufacturers need to stop thinking they are improving anything with pwr.
I purchased this exact bike, I am very apprehensive with the size and weigh, Being 80 and fighting a serious illness, I am left with a difficult decision, as I look at , sitting in my living room it looks over powering. I am not sure other buyers have the same feeling. I am not sure to try and ride this monster or sell it ,I hope this might help older people that may consider the purchase. Also it did arrive damaged, not major, but with issues.
questions for Cruiser: will a dropper post fit, whats the internal length inside the frame for the post, the Oneup brand makes the shortest length dropper post just wondering if one will fit, does it have a mount for a front rack. is there any ghost peddle, does it require charging batteries separately or will they charge at same time. I hoping they will give you a Blue cruiser so we can compare the colors of the best three lime, blue and white. thankyou
I'm almost 6'5" so I'm curious how much taller the taller bike stem is. I'm your weight so nice to see how fast you can go. Curious to know if your were at full battery when you did that little run at the end of your video, but going full speed and how much it drained it. Makes a good case for a second battery.
I’m very short, which bike offers the smaller (24”?) tires? With all the same bells and whistles? I’m looking for something that is bigger than a 20” but not so big as the standard 26” , with fat tires for my rugged terrain.
@cherricrittenden894 biktrix juggernaut hub duo ST medium frame has 24 inch tires. It does have a torque sensor though and some don't like it but I prefer it. It's on sale til Sep 1st for $2300 and the seconde mountable battery is free til then. No rear suspension but you can add a seatpost. Also not sure you can hit as fast as you would on a wired. If you want something comparable, I've been looking at Furious EMX 60V. It does have 20×4 inch tires but I feel it would fit your size better. Citizencycle has reviews for it
Ordered mine today. Went with the freedom in titan color. I am curious to how many changes will be made from the time of my order to time of shipping. The way they are making changes might be 5 or 6 more.....making it even better!!!!
I’m betting Wired slips in something special on the August bikes. Unlike e cells, who does not test anything before sale, I’m sure whatever new feature Wired adds will actually work and be included in the base price.
I don’t see why they won’t at some point. A 3200 watt bike with a 20ah battery is fine if you are not flying around at 40mph all the time. $1699 would be a category killer for 26x4 fat tire bikes.
@@jfly2249 only 300 dollars off? If you try to purchase 20ah battery from Wired website, it’s $800, the 2nd battery being 15ah should be $600. So for a single battery set up, the price needs to be $1399, not to mention we still have to pay for shipping and probably tax, wired just never want to do free shipping.
Can anyone tell me if it is common place for an ebike company to make you pay before they ship? As a small business guy, I have always found most companies to not require payment until they ship. I understand why Wired would want to do this. What company would not want to have all their sales fully paid for before they send over their order to China (or elsewhere). They have no business risk. Or at least very little business risk. I have one on order and I think it is going to be a great bike. But I was struck by the comment that Citizen's bike is the only one currently in the US. In other words we will all be a test market and we have all paid in advance for the container(s) coming from China.
That is Exactly Right!!! You are spending $2400 on an Unproven Product!!! No one knows if their New Small Potted Controller will Overheat. If their Dual Battery System will work. How their Lack of Quality Suspension will feel. If they corrected their Poorly Engineered Suspension System from Rattling. You will be The First to Test The True Quality of the bike. Question: All these guys that bought the Wicked-Wired bikes the last couple years that are now excited and want the new Wired, how much do you really feel you can get for your old Wired at The Garage Sale????
@@SarahJane-y1p I don't want to bash the company because they have a bike that people like that performs well. And I ordered one too. I just find the business model kind of SUS. Having to pay in full for a bike and shipping when it won't ship for almost two months. And learning that this bike in the video is the only one in the US at the moment. They took probably hundreds of orders based on this youtube channel and haven't even brought the bike in yet.
@@Greg-me8le If they sold 200 bikes, they are using $400,000 plus of your money for 2 months. That’s What Lawyers Do!!!! They can’t help themselves. Especially in Chicago!!!
@@SarahJane-y1p Another thing to keep an eye on is the shipping. Businesses make money by collecting the difference between the Published Rates with UPS-Fed Ex and their own rates. Bike companies that offer free shipping can’t collect this difference. $250+ shipping plus $75 insurance seems excessive.
Great review as always. Any suggestion for optional tires tread for street use that you've found safe, useful for mostly street surface use that may make the ride smoother. quieter, more efficient???
I'm not sure how these bikes are supposed to go out by June if Wired is still in the process of making changes and then after that the bikes all need to be container shipped from China.
Wired told me they just needed to reflash the displays of already built bikes and the flood of Wired bikes will begin. New Wired controller is much better in that in can be completely updated and reprogrammed via USB stick and is warrantied for 45+amps whereas KT would sell you a 45 amp controller but would not offer a warranty on it. The old KT is really obsolete, it’s been around for seven or eight years and seems to be modified by the factory to exceed its rated continuous output, although still warrantied for 40amps. No way for e cells to get 45 amp + out of their setup and still offer a warranty without changing their controller and display. Guess they have to copy Wired, again😂
Since you showed this lime green bike everyone wants one including me, except the color is not my thing i dig blue or black, many of us are from e-cells,this bike is better and cheaper then the e-cells step through its going to sell like hot cakes for sure.
Range testing is hard to do with variables. Ive got 40 miles out of my older single 60v 20amh freedom throttle only. But I set speed limit to 20 and lots of long straight aways with few stop and goes. I could see it go down alot with more stop and goes. Idk your right its hard to do an accurate one because who knows how it will be driven. Great updates. TY
@@johns5504 I mess with it all the time and that was a year ago and cant remember. I dont think it would matter much as once up to 20 it doesnt use all of the watts and there where not many stops. I could of had it turned all the way down tho as I do that often. Still impressive there. Im sorry I dont remember what the setting was then when I got 40 miles. and it wasnt 40 but close but not dead yet so figured I could of done 40 easily to be honest. If I remember it was 38 miles and I cant remember the voltage but about out.
I love your videos very informative. I purchased lime green wire cruiser my question do you think I can put 26 x 5“ flat tires? I like them better than 26 x 4.
Very nice second video to cover some of the details. I ordered a blue one via your link. Question: if I run the bike as it ships as a Class 2, although the top speed will be 20 mph, will it still have great power as far as torque off the line and up hills?
Finally! My new Wired Cruiser e-bike came last Friday and I was very excited after 3 and a half months of waiting. Unfortunately my joy has already turned into agony and despair. The front end appears to be defective, any time I take my hands off the handle bars it immediately goes left or right it will not hold straight or steady and overall it feels weak and unstable. I tried to call customer service at Wired but they never answered to phone and a recording referred me to their website. I am hoping for a better outcome Monday on my next attempt to contact Wired about this very disturbing and disappointing event. I hope I have not been phone blocked.
my #1 concern is the hill climb ability - how will this do going up a 23% grade? my 750 Watt hub drive will go up it on a fresh battery charge. I ask as the last bit [40 ft or so] of my driveway gets steep at about 23% most ebikes just poop out & I get off and use the twist throrrle & walk it up. a minor annoyance. Or should I get a mid drive ebike for this? a top speed being high isnt so important to me. But hill climbing is important for me. low speed torque is something I can tune my motor bikes for. and yes top speed is lower, but high speed is not important to me. #2 is there going to be an inside chain rinf gaurd to prevent the chain from jumping off?
153 newton meters torque and 3kw output will beat your driveway hill down to a manageable size for you. Hub motors climb good if they are being fed lots of watts. I have a 52v mid drive that can pull 1700 peak watts. It will climb anything it can get traction on. But my 3kw hub motor bike climbs the same hills at a higher speed.
The controller for this bike is a 45ah 60v Wired Branded Controller made by Patriot Systems. I couldn't find any info about this company (Patriot). Could there be any thermal issues with the high output controller and the battery balancer stuffed into the small sealed bottom bracket? Also, how do we know if Patriot Systems controllers are any good? Is there any history on this company? The controller is kind of an important component...! The Freedom model mounts theirs externally with a heatsinked case. The E-cells 5 Star also does this. Even E-Cells step through model (closest competitor to the Wired Cruiser) is mounting their controller externally. I hope the unknown controller brand & tight (relatively) unventilated mount location does not come back to bite owners in the butt.
It looked like the throttle still had a slight delay in your video perhaps, did you receive the update by any chance or were they still working on that or rolling it out?
Most people like the constant power approach more than torque sensors. Allows you to easily control your speed and pedal for exercise but with the ease of a cadence sensor when you want. It will be interesting 🤨 if e cells ever ships a bike with a torque sensor how it compares with the wattage based pedal assist on the old KT controller e cells is using. Wireds will be far more customizable, but a similar approach.
More interested in getting a Ebike since I have a Bat Safe XL 🔋 box to more safely store lithium batteries in my home. Was getting paranoid storing my EGO electric lawnmower batteries in my basement. Now looking into a fire resistant charging cabinet.
Hey buddy, can you recommend a double bike carrier for this bike. With a wheel base of 80 inches if I'm not mistaken I can't seem one to accommodate. Need one to carry this bike and a cyrusher ovia at the same time. Thanks!
Hey! Nice review! Will you be reviewing the Juiced JetCurrent Pro soon? I love this bike but i really need something foldable to get the most use out of it? The JetCurrent Pro looks like it will be amazing but they kinda missed the mark by not giving it rear suspension.
Thanks for the update, but you're making the waiting for delivery even more painful. LOL. This is the second weekend you got me all jazzed up. It's good to hear the pedal assist thing and throttle lag is being addressed. I have seen in other videos where the headlight is coming loose and laying on the fender, I'm glad they are addressing that as well.😁
I ordered the bike on April 7th. At that time it said mid to late May. Then they made all these changes and I see mid to late June. I don't know if that means all bikes on order will now be in June or if you are now just ordering. I'll probably contact them soon to find out. Weather is nice, ready to ride. @@skypros I'm guessing you mean because the light would have to shine through the cables if it were mounted up above? Maybe so. One of our bikes is a Euphree and it has a good light mounted on the handlebar, with no cables getting in the way. Ive looked at many and been on the fence due to the weight! But it is the best deal. I can not find the $50 discount code, or the best savings you offer? Really nice job! Thanks Kate
i have the older version i am 5 foot 6. i would make a 24 inch tire with a 60 volt pouch battery which has more power like the m18 or dewalt new battery chemistry that would put them in a new league in my opinion or maybe it is in the cards. because the power is major difference between the 2 styles plus lighter more range more power it is a no brainer but it would cost is maybe why
All WIRED needs to do now is install 4 bolts for a good front basket and possibly make a 26"x 2.5" tire or 3" wide tire, also I think it may be a good idea to be able to separate the batteries. This e-Bike is like the M1-Abrams of e-Bikes...!

Wish I would've ordered earlier to get your coupon code but I'm so stoked about the bike I really don't care at this point. Thank you and happy cycling dude.
1:45 What if, say, i run the main battery down then add in a fresh rear battery?? Does it still draw equally? or does it draw from the fuller charged battery until they equalize? 🤔
front and rear turn signals would be nice.
is there a reason why the headlights in these bikes are all connected to the fender instead of to the frame? if it’s the cables, they could probably arrange the cable management. on the fender you got a lot of road vibration and movement with the suspension.
the nice thing is you can add all those things if you'd like :)
Needs two chain guards on front sprocket.
Can you get a second chain guard
With that rear swing-arm setup, do you think there is an effective way to lock this bike if you need to leave it unattended?

What kind of batteries does wired use?
@@kryptonite7936 Samsung.
I need Range of 70 Mile Round Trip range in PAS 2.
In PAS 2 with New Dual Battery setup Will this Bike Make It 🤔 ? ?
Is Wired planning on adding pre-drilled holes for a basket add-on in front?
I wonder what 2025 upgrade will be
Back in January of this year I got the freedom in black because the cruiser in white didn't have rear suspension. Now that the freedom comes in white and the cruiser has rear suspension, my new dilemna now is the lime green paint job is starting to look more and more appealing🤣
You don't want the lime green paint if it's going to be a peeling.
Thanks for the updates! Time has never gone slower! I’m so ready to get my freedom!

Now that these are being delivered and in customers hands. They are mentioning death wobble with these bikes. Did you experience this?
Looking forward to getting mine!
No, they do not.
@@SarahJane-y1p New suspension on this iteration already. It took others years?

About to pull the trigger, kind of want a e bike for getting to work each day that will have no problem on hills. Do you think this one is the best price to performance?
Also, was just thinking. If you ride a flat trail, with the percentage adjustment on the PAS internal settings, you can dial in an exact mph for a given PAS setting, sort of like cruise control while peddling.
Please do a review of the ECELLS 5 star the few other TH-camrs did and all around great ebike.
boycott ecells - they push their religion on customers

He's definitely hitting hit
Boy, this bike keeps getting better and better all the time. Excellent!
Awesome! Thank you so much for the info.
Thanks!
🐍 Range Test is not hard to figure out....400lb frame needs a rider and backpack that equals 400lbs.
Now @ MAX Weight ride it till it stops rolling.
I agree, fat tires actually aren't all that great on the street, less maneuverable compared to a 2.2" ×27.5 in my experience.
Yes, single sided and the chain has popped off couple times on really bumpy stuff.

Steven and Dan @ Wired told me they are working on a package upgrade just a few days ago. Looking forward to a rear battery for range
I’d buy one in a heartbeat if it had a torque sensor 😢
Honestly after having a bike with the “set wattage” cadence sensor like this one has, a torque necessary seems unnecessary to me. It would be better sure but when the bike just assists you with a different wattage level depending on assistance level, it feels pretty good.
Look at the Ecells five star, you can get a torque sensor as an option
I used to have a Chinese fatbike "samebike XP" with cadence sensor.
Now I have a speed pedelec Qwic RD11 with torque sensor....don't feel much difference
@@ferrysonder7051 not all torque sensors are the same))
I have the 2023 Cruiser and the only thing I don't like is the tail end of the bike.
Wow. One last wish: folding, so I can put it inside my RV - and I would pay more to have it fold.
and I would pay a bit extra for alloy rims without wire spokes.
Now I'm thinking should I have gotten the cruiser Oh well 😂 watching him screaming up that hill 😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁
Speed based PAS, Cadence is by far the best. If you want to go 30kmh, you still want to go 30kmh uphill. You also want to get back up to 30kph asap after a slowdown (full power when accelerating). Manufacturers need to stop thinking they are improving anything with pwr.
Can't wait for mine to come in!
Im excited to get mine but Im 5ft7 so I kinda wish I had the option for 2inch smaller tires.
I’m very short, which bike offers the smaller (24”?) tires? With all the same bells and whistles? I’m looking for something that is bigger than a 20” but not so big as the standard 26” , with fat tires for my rugged terrain.
Yes 24in tires would be much better.

And by then half the summer will be gone. I wanted the cruiser but because it’s coming late in the summer I had to get the regular model instead.
Great review as always. I wish they would offer a bike with 3" tires. Those 4" tires add a lot of weight and are hardly ever needed.
Wish they had 5" tires lol
just that 3" cant be ran at lower psi like 10-14 psi wwhich is super comfy on a full suspension bike
I think 4 inch rims can handle 3 inch tires
I'm going to order a wire freedom cruiser, is there anything I should know I'm kind of worried about not having a chain guard can I buy one.
@@jfly2249 I hear there are several changes to the new bike, including a second battery. It is going to be a long month of waiting. I am so ready.
Instead of dual battery set up, I would prefer they give us the option to buy a single battery version for few hundred dollars cheaper.
I do not.
2 batteries is much better.
You could easily sell the 2nd one btw😊
That's a good idea
I don’t see why they won’t at some point. A 3200 watt bike with a 20ah battery is fine if you are not flying around at 40mph all the time. $1699 would be a category killer for 26x4 fat tire bikes.
That’s what the Kepler cost 36 miles an hour though
@@jfly2249 only 300 dollars off? If you try to purchase 20ah battery from Wired website, it’s $800, the 2nd battery being 15ah should be $600.

I hope I have not been phone blocked.
my #1 concern is the hill climb ability -
how will this do going up a 23% grade?
my 750 Watt hub drive will go up it on a fresh battery charge.
I ask as the last bit [40 ft or so] of my driveway gets steep at about 23%
most ebikes just poop out & I get off and use the twist throrrle & walk it up.
a minor annoyance.
But my 3kw hub motor bike climbs the same hills at a higher speed.
this bike will smoke a 750w e bike

It looked like the throttle still had a slight delay in your video perhaps, did you receive the update by any chance or were they still working on that or rolling it out?
this one has delay since it is the prototype, they are re-flashing all the displays on production bikes before they ship out.
@@CitizenCycle925 Awesome, just wanted to clarify on that, thank you for the heads up!
How do they have all these amazing components but no torque sensor ?????
Most people like the constant power approach more than torque sensors. Allows you to easily control your speed and pedal for exercise but with the ease of a cadence sensor when you want. It will be interesting 🤨 if e cells ever ships a bike with a torque sensor how it compares with the wattage based pedal assist on the old KT controller e cells is using. I don't know if that means all bikes on order will now be in June or if you are now just ordering. I'll probably contact them soon to find out. Weather is nice, ready to ride. WE WANT OUR BIKES NOW WIRED! lol
@@ByteMyWire Maybe yours got delayed until June because of the updates to the bike. I'm impatient too as the weather is perfect for riding.
Just trying to find a way to transport my cobra and my wired freedom in the bed of my 5.5 truck bed with the tailgate closed while pulling my rv. Do you suggest any fork mount or tailgate pad??
They should mount the light somewhere up above where it is not subject to all the jostling the forks are absorbing.
I think the reason they mount it down low..... Is because of all the Cables in the front ??
@@skypros I'm guessing you mean because the light would have to shine through the cables if it were mounted up above? Maybe so. One of our bikes is a Euphree and it has a good light mounted on the handlebar, with no cables getting in the way. The cables are well designed with just the right lengths and are wrapped together on each side. So it can be done but it would take a little extra effort on their part.
👉🏾Another review shows them batteries draining too fast. I'm hoping WIRED FREEDOM fix that issue❗️
All WIRED needs to do now is install 4 bolts for a good front basket and possibly make a 26"x 2.5" tire or 3" wide tire, also I think it may be a good idea to be able to separate the batteries. This e-Bike is like the M1-Abrams of e-Bikes...!
I live in north Texas never seen one send me one and I will show it to everyone in Fannin County this is the home of Sam Rayburn former speaker of the house My grandpa and my Daddy worked for him
Thank you for the best e-bike content anywhere. Ordered my wired freedom bike. Can’t wait.

Just put in an order for a cruiser. Thanks for all the good info you put into your videos. You are actually the one that made up my mind to get a Wired ebike. Wish I would've ordered earlier to get your coupon code but I'm so stoked about the bike I really don't care at this point. Thank you and happy cycling dude.
Do a range test where you show max range with pedal assist only at 20-25 mph .
Then a second ride where you show max range riding aggressively.

What if, say, i run the main battery down then add in a fresh rear battery?? Does it still draw equally? or does it draw from the fuller charged battery until they equalize? 🤔
Would really love to see how to access the controller and wiring inside the frame. It's probably easier to access once battery is removed?
Can you swop out twist throttle for thumb type and can you change everything to left handed control where the rear brake engages using my left hand?
