GREAT timing, I'm happy you do these videos got myself a c1 like a month ago your videos are brilliant. Got this leaking issue now tried all you did I'll just see what the result is , so far no leaks after I cleaned the seal and refitted it, it seemed like the water gathered and went over the seal , my seal sills were also rusted on the bottom :(
Same repair that I’ve just done a couple of months ago. Door cards not connected. I got some plastic bags from super market. Cut them and fitted them to the inside door, so it’s overlapping the door cards and water drips straight to the bottom of the door now. Simple and free repair, well apart from pence for a plastic carrier bag lol.
@@StupidBlokeStupidVideos mine had was half missing and looked like some one had made a repair before. So I think it was a previous repair at a dealer 🥺. Mum got it from a dealer when it was 3 years old. But so far so good 👍 and I’ve done all the other leaks so far.
My '13 Aygo started leaking just after I got it back in '15. Took it back to the dealer 3 times and got it repaired. "Repaired"… Last time it seemed to stick but started up again after a while. I regret I didn't take it back, but I was just tired of it and the used car warranty was long gone. I could've demanded my money back that third time, but I liked the car otherwise _and_ it was fairly cheap. Nowadays I just make sure to drain the spare wheel well once in a while… :)
There's a product called Gummi phledge... I don't know why it's got a German name, but it comes in like a shoe polish foam applicator, made by sonax. It does more than silicon it actually has active chemicals that help soften rubber, it's very specifically for door seals
i feel like you need a hose and someone to pour water over the car on 1 sunday and find all 50 leaks, write them down and buy stuff that you need to fix them ahha, i only have back leak for now
Right ,, messing aside ,,, before you undo the door keeper , draw round it with a fine felt tip pen , then if it all goes wrong you know where to put it pack to ,and either start again , or just tighten it up and wind the window down and bend the door top just a tad ,, there are many ways to remove a felines jacket.
Yea the drain holes are there, but the angle I was parked at when it leaked means that the water will probably drop down onto the vapour barrier rather than into the bottom of the door if you know what I mean
It could be that the drain hole under the scuttle panel has got blocked with leaves and dirt, causing water to build up and eventually make its way behind the dash and into the passenger foot well. I had that happen on an audi a4 quattro. In audi's infinite wisdom they put the ecu under the passenger foot well so it shagged my car
a6 allroad is the same ,, you soon get wise to it , the passenger courtesy module that lives under the seat does all sorts off odd things when it gets wet , all the windows down and the sunroof open is a favourite ,,, great when you leave the car in a car park in town ,,,
The water is probably coming in along all the wires you've bodged through the bulkhead. Drop different coloured food dye in different areas to see where water is coming from.
