I gave this video a like purely for the fact you did this, one handed, with the wrong screwdriver (for the most part) in the rain. I'd have given up as soon as I opened the boot fella.
18mins and 24 seconds in. Looking at the top right of screen image, look down to the first rusty screw hole, below that you can see a foam insert that is almost rectangle but the inner edge is angled. That is a further leak point that gets overlooked. Its foam, soaks full of water and then drips inside. I sprayed mine up on both sides with a tent water proofing spray as I had done all the other common areas and still had a leak. In addition, directly below the rear boot lid release button in the bumper is a tiny water drain hole, This allows water to drip into the inside of the bumper. I got a bit of plumbers putty and blocked it up, now the water just runs down over the outside of the boot, not into the inner side of the boot. Hope these two additional tips help.

The trouble is, the carpet is all one piece so if the water is getting underneath? but i cant feel any damp because it feels like there is a plastic membrane stopping it reaching the actual carpet if that makes any sense! I suppose ill just have to try forcing one side foot well carpet up a bit and see if there is any water there and if there is then either the rear door seals or the rear flaps maybe to blame or maybe using a cheap damp meter on the carpets before i start using brute force!? as its only done 25,000 miles .....

Instant thumbs up for Ievan Polkka. :) My '13 Aygo also has this issue. It appeared within a few weeks of my purchase and I ended up taking it back on warranty several times. They had a hard time locating the actual source as it appeared to require the car to sit at just the right angle with the rain coming from the right direction. They stripped the poor thing down to the bare chassis, refitted all gaskets and schmooed everything in the end. And at the time, they did appear to have solved it. Of course, the issue reappeared after a while, but by that time, I just couldn't be arsed to take it back in again. It's not as severe now as it was in the beginning, but water does accumulate over time. I guess I'll have to do some reschmooing. :)

The leaks are a pain in the arse, but to be honest they are pretty much the only major issue they have. Other than that they are one of the most reliable/bulletproof cars on the road!
i've seen this video 2 times and i'm here 3rd time to say this is a shit car, first power steering issue, then water issue, the another water issue, then third water issue
Sounds like you’ve had bad luck. Apart from the leaking which is particularly common, they’re usually one of the most reliable and easiest/cheapest to service and repair cars on the road! The power steering ecu is a known issue too but not massively common, usually it’s the power steering ecu thar fails but can be got pretty cheap second hand
@@StupidBlokeStupidVideos yeah but after the 3rd leak and some mold and also high pitched squeaking when i turn the AC on (could be AC belt or Alternator belt struggling) i really lost the enthusiasm to fix the damn car, at least it passed the registration with no problems so there's that, other than that the car does drive nicely but the gear changing you really have to get used to, cause you aint going from 3rd to 2nd wihtout puting it in neutral, tapping the gas and then putting it in 2nd or you have to super slow down ...
How do you think I fucking feel? I clean it out, it’s the same within a couple of days. Yet I leave a drink by the settee that I’m half way through drinking it, and I get accused of making a mess!

Thanks mate 🤣
15:35 I will have to order one of these special tools😁
Grands of tools in my box and I’m using a bastard key as a screwdriver 🤷♀️
@@StupidBlokeStupidVideos Proper order
You must have been very bad in a previous life as yet again it’s raining. Tim braves the delights of the northern UK weather to save some more sh1tters from getting an internal soaking - Yes!
Tell me about it bro 😫
Cheers dude - very helpful :o)
Glad it helped
Done high and both brakes but feart of the bumper. Not enough metal left to fit the bottom screws to😂
Just put bigger screws in 🤣
How did you dry the carpets and seats?
I soaked it up with rags and kitchen roll best I could then kept the heater on hot with the windows open slightly for a while
Will this help against the fogging of windows? I'm not sure of mines is leaking, but the windows fog up really bad.
More than likely, yea
Brilliant ✨thank you 👏
Thanks for watching and hope it helps

Could you use decent bathroom sealant?
It’d probably work, but there’s a reason it’s not great to use but I can’t remember what it is.
@@StupidBlokeStupidVideos no worries. Genuinely, this is the most useful video I've watched in ages. 👍🏻
Now I know why my wife's car has a lot of condensation in the inside. My 107 on the other hand is dry as it can be. Will look into her car to see if something is leaking....
It’s unusual for them not to leak, you’ve got two of them so one of them is bound to be pissing in somewhere
Funny video nicely done 😂
Thanks mate! Hope it helps
Yazoo in the boot? YES!
YES
Are you sure it wasn't just the Yazoo that topped up the boot?
Could be fucking anything in that car.
1st boom
Boom.
Boom? Wrong channel. 1st = YES! Followed by equally enthusiastic foot tap! Edit - just spotted it’s Leon 🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@davyarthurs it is, and nice to see a decent TH-camr swinging by!

Done this today. Ive squirted sealant everywhere... no more puddles in my boot. Touch wood.
Throw a tarpaulin over it for good measure 🤣
В мене така сама проблема
це дуже поширена проблема на цих автомобілях.

I had 2 C1's leaked from the brake light and came in both light clusters and the seams on the boot insides and the vents, all like yours...Spent a fortune on sealant and then got shot of.Utterly unforgivable that a factory sends out these shit cars with so many defects....
That car needs a good wash, fucking annoying me that.
How do you think I fucking feel? I clean it out, it’s the same within a couple of days.
Yet I leave a drink by the settee that I’m half way through drinking it, and I get accused of making a mess!
@@StupidBlokeStupidVideos 🤣🤣Im easy annoyed to be fair.
@@MARTINWHITELAW the older I get, the more easily annoyed I am.
😂 might need an adult to help you with this 😭 people who are 10 watching this trying to fix there cars
I’m over 30, and I’m not an adult yet!
that is not a very clean car, compared with the hidden things of my car,
It’s a woman’s car, what do you expect 😂
