Zestial is the oldest Overlord we've seen so far, even older than Alastor by a wide margin which is why he actually respects Zestial. Also in case anyone forgot from the pilot, Alastor killed A LOT of Overlords who were previously in power for centuries which is why a lot of the Overlords shown here (though not all) are much younger. They owe Alastor for their current positions since his actions led to a power vacuum for them to fill.
Alastor is not that old, like what less than 100 years in hell? Zestial has to be pretty tough to have survived his rampage, Velvette was overplaying her hand in this episode to casually insult overlords several magnitudes above her.

I thought it was interesting that Velvet said that she suspects that Carmilla killed the angel 10:38 and then Carmilla was pissed that she was found out so quickly and ended the meeting early.
The Vee’s are truly the standout villains of this season. Velvet showing she didn’t give af about the top overlords is pretty funny calling out the oldest and most likely strongest of them all is wild. The villain songs I’m sorry they are just too good idk how Viv does it. I love that we get to see more of Sir Pentious he’s adorable even tho who knows what he did before in his human life to be sent to hell💀. The reveal about Camilla killing the Angel would’ve been a lot more effective if we actually met her before the reveal happened in the same episode it doesn’t have much of an impact. Nifty cracked me up sm during this episode.
7:16, I am living for the "Giant Woman" song reference here 😂. This is my third time hearing someone mention it when referring to Zilla's appearance in this episode, XD.
Hearing Daphne Rubin-Vega sing again made me cry. Seeing a lot of people being all "ooh In the Heights" but Daphne is the legendary originator of Mimi Marquez in RENT. My Broadway rock power ballad queen.
The Overlords strike me as something like mob bosses. Rivals but have their own territories and interests. They may try to outdo each other but largely have moved past direct conflict and will meet to talk shop sometimes. Alastor does seem to show respect to those he considers equals.
12:14 I would say either Boleyn or Cleves, because their songs have as much attitude as Respectless and she'd nail them, but I think her voice would suit Cleves better, Aragon would also work
In case you didn't already know, Carmilla Carmine is the Overlord responsible for collecting the Angelic Weaponry left behind during the Exterminations and crafting them into new types of weapons that can permanently kill Sinners and even Goetia Royalty. The Blessed Weapons that Striker uses in Helluva Boss are some of her products; the Sniper Rifle we see in Episode 5 is actually referred to as a "Carmine-Crafted Blessing-Tipped Rifle." As you can imagine, her success in this industry has made Carmilla one of the most wealthy and powerful Overlords in all of Hell. And since we already know that Angelic Weapons can kill beings that might otherwise be considered Immortal, since Lucifer wrangled the other Sins and the Goetia under his rule primarily through his Angelic Powers as a former Seraphim, it stands to reason that Carmilla killed the angel by using her reverse-engineered Holy Arms against it.
I know I'm super late on this but it's funny how Vaggie was against Angel's and Cherri Bomb's turf war shenanigans during the pilot but immediately throws them, literally, into one during this episode. 😂
Daphne Rubin-Vega was also the original Mimi in RENT. Lilli Cooper was also the original Martha in Spring Awakening. Stephanie Beatriz (Vaggie) was Mirabel in Disney's Encanto movie.
Velvetee knew exactly what she was doing in that situation, she's not just some overconfident stuck up brat she knows how to provoke social situations towards her favor
By disrespecting overlords much more powerful than her? She's relying on her ties to the other Vs way too much, this behavior will come to bite her in the ass sooner or later.
I don't know if putting yourself in "walking annoyance" list of Zestial and in Carmine "stupid brat" attitude list was all that wise especially since Carmine can just..reduce shipment to the V's and reduce their weaponry Especially after episode 4 where Val is now on another person possible hitlist and with Vox being on Alastor hit list. Like this three piss off everyone they meet
Hell yeah another Velvette fan! I totally get what you mean about Six the musical! That voice would totally fit for Anne Boleyn in Don’t Lose Your Head.
The funny thing is, Velvette is right in wanting to go to war. We've seen at the end of episode one that the angels plan to wipe out all of the sinners for even daring to kill one of them anyway, so if they're not going to fight back, Carmilla won't be able to protect her family at all.
Arguably about liking Alastor when he’s a horrible person, everyone in hell is a horrible person objectively. Except for like Charlie, they’re all in hell for a reason
I mean I guess I can understand what you're saying but to be honest that kind of goes with a lot of other bad villains in media like I know there are damn well characters that are rotten to the core that I shouldn't like at all but they just has some sort of charm to them that you can't hate them despite how bad they are if that makes sense
@@geezy8689 oh I’m not saying you can’t like them. I love villains and Alastor is one of my favorite characters. I was just saying restricting yourself to not like a character you enjoy on screen because they’re objectively a bad person seems counterintuitive when the setting is hell
Zamber, baby, honey, sweetness... You need to be aware of the next episode.... There will be some triggering moments, but i promise, it's worth the emotional rollercoaster
I've seen a theory that Carmine's ability to kill an angel wasn't based on what weapon she used, but the reason she wielded it. Standing up to the previously unkillable angels to save her daughters was a selfless act, some virtuous violence if you will. If angels are vulnerable to any weapon held for a virtuous cause, that would actually tie this show together by making the hotel a bootcamp for potential angel-slayers, even though no one can know that's why they're there, they have to want to be good to maintain the virtuosity. This could set up for some great reveals concerning who was already aware of the angels' vulnerability. At least 1 of Lilith, Vaggie, Alastor, and of course Charlie herself "Lilith's dream passed down to their precious daughter...Don't worry mom, I'll make you proud"
I am inclined to believe that Vaggie is a converted Exterminator - a cross on her eye, a military bearing, an angelic weapon, but most importantly - her words to Charlie and her song. She speaks and reasons like a real angel, as they should be - guardians and protectors, guiding on the true path. (Regarding the ending of the song - it was just a transition; if you look carefully, you can see that Carmilla has a different view outside the window. Most likely, she and Vaggie would simply have one motive - to protect someone dear). There are similarities, but Vaggie's eyes are a different color, whereas red and white irises are a Carmain family trait. There is a moment in the song where Velvet appears in the same shot with Carmilla and her daughters, and it is clear that they have the same eye color. Plus, Velvet has white yarn in her hair that is obviously dyed and wears earrings just like Carmilla. In addition, at some point in the third episode, I got the feeling that the confrontation between Carmila and Velvet reflects not only the conflict of generations (old versus new), but also the conflict of parents and children. In particular, in their song, Carmila chastises Velvet as a strict mother to a rebellious daughter. And at the end, you generally get the feeling that Carmilla is going to say: “Come on, go to the room, young lady!”)) And in the moments when they are shown together in the frame, their (family?) resemblance becomes visible. In any case, Velvet has the same eyes as Carmila and her daughters - red, with a white iris, which can be considered weak evidence of their family connection.
Keep in mind that Charlie could literally overpower Alastor if she wanted to- So I’ll be honest to me he feels more like a fun but lowkey terrifying pest instead of a real threat
Based on what we know about the Overlords, I'd rank them something like this: 1. Carmilla (only Demon to ever have killed an Angel, apparently) 2. Zestial 3. Alastor 4. Vox 5. Valentino 6. Velvette Rosie is somewhere near the bottom given that she's apparently a 2 or 3 out of 10... The Eldritch Family would be somewhere near the top since they're apparently powerful enough to directly associate with and potentially marry into the Morningstar Family... As for Zeezi and "Wendigo," I have no effing idea...
I love how Alastor was putting up with the Egg Bois for the longest, and then he ran into the oldest Ollverlord and was like "Okay, yeah, no, you're all gonna shut up RIGHT NOW."
Actually when I heard Velvette sing this I legit had to stop the episode and go check if her VA sang in SIX. I swear I was so convinced she already had a role in it, her voice sounds perfect for it!
I get blown away by the cast every episode! They're so talented! But Velvette takes the cake for me in this episode. I added "Respectless" to my TH-cam music playlist 🎶😄
13:40 fun fact about the background noise, that wasn’t scripted. In one of the panel interviews with the cast I saw on screen rant, it was revealed that whole banter was ad-lib when Richard Horvitz (Moxxie in Helluva Boss and voice director of Hazbin) told them to be casual with the voice acting and that’s how that came to be
Im personally wondering if it requires Blessing tipped weapons to harm angels. We seein Hellyva when moxie reacts to striker's rifle in the first season, calling it a Carmine Blessing Tipped Rifle. It sprcficly has been shown in helluva that angelic wealobs are metallic pure silver, and if you look at Camilla's shoes they have the same texture as the rope, dagger, pistol, and rifle that striker has used. Leads me to belive Carmilla Carmine is dealing with somebody in heaven for resources to craft very special types of weapons that is even able to hurt Angels as well as Demon Royalty, without the angels knowing about it.
Camilla made steikers riffle moxie daid “genuin carmine crafted angel tiped eiffle” back in heluva boss ep 5 so we know she makes weapons by melting the angel weapons down so she could probably make weapons to kill angels
by the way, Alastair was a cannibalistic serial killer before he came to hell. He was accidentally killed for being mistaken for a deer when he was in a forest with one of his dead victims. that is why he has deer characteristics like the antlers and deer ears. Also he eats a deer carcass for breakfast - emphasizing his cannibalistic tendencies.
The fancasting Lilli Cooper in Six: The Musical is so real of you, I said the same when I watched the episode, at first I genuinely thought she was in some production of Six and when I realized she wasn't I was like: but HOW???? SHE'S PERFECT! Lol
Vox and Valentino are much older than Velvette. Vox has been said to have died in the mainstream introduction of TV in the 60s, Valentino died in the peak of adult film in the 70s and Velvette is obviously an “influencer” demon, which makes me think she passed like a few years ago
Oke, i have a theory. Remember the Angelic weapons of Striker in Helluva boss!? Yeah that we're her weapons. And i think she killed the Angel with it to protect her family. I mean i guess, the pride ring doesn't know she builds Angelic weapons amd wants to keep it that way👍🏾 (instead of the imps and lucifer himself i think🤔) .
Realising Velvet is Lilli Cooper was such a weird moment, omg I’ve heard her in the SpongeBob musical so many times, but I didn’t recognise her in this!
This is probably my favorite episode so far. The music is amazing, it scratches my brain perfectly. Vaggie x Charlie is always a win for me, also possible Vaggie backstory 👀.Velvette is a queen, I respect the hustle. I adore all the overlords, especially Carmilla🥰she is strong smart and loves her her daughters🥺and her relationship with Zestial🤌they have a cute friendship and maybe something more👀👍 plus the way she looked at Zestial when she sang “I will protect you” 🥹 and of course my favorite character Alastor stole the show. Him and Rosie are cute besties, the way he is all secretive about his true intentions but wants all the attention😂 that this “this bitch” face at carmilla. and just whenever he is on screen in general😁 he’s such a sassy boi Also shout out to sir pentious and his egg boiz 🥰 I do think he will realize off camera what the eggs said and that will come back into play later
I knew you were my favorite reactor for a reason, all the other reactions I've seen hate Velvette but I LOVE her so much I'm so glad someone else loves her
Until the series actually got started I considered Alastor a wild card who could go either way. But with the lore drop that both he and Lilith disappeared 7 years ago I have shifted my take on him. I am pretty sure he is working for Lilith for some reason. As such I think he is going to be a Snape like character. You think he is evil af but in fact he is heavily on Charlie's side and protecting her in many ways we have not seen yet.
Just an FYI the next episode is very intense to say the least. Many trigger and content warnings for how intense the episode gets. It is a great episode but it’s very intense for a long part of the episode. Tears will be shed, its a great episode but please be aware that there is some serious stuff in there. I wish you the best of luck with the next episode ,I hope the end of the episode cheers you up after everything.
Completely agree with you on Alastor. He’s a silly little guy and we all love him but also at the same time, he’s pretty much a wildcard and we have no idea what his endgame is.
“I could eat you lot for breakfast” No the hell you couldn’t, Velvette…we’ve only seen a display of power from Alastor and he’s probably the second most powerful demon in the room
Its easy to read Alastor's eyes. when Zestial came up to him he had the "oh shit" eyes like Zestial is someone not even he would screw with. If anything my guess is that at minimum alastor and zestial would mop the floor with Velvette if it came down to it, but Rosie is possibly stronger than Velvette too
Viv has already confirmed that Alastor is inferior to Stolas in terms of overall power. And we already know Stolas himself has his superiors in both Asmodeus and his father, etc. Alastor's OPness has been completely exaggerated purely because he's flashy.

She might act like the does anyway.
She mostly used that song to provoke them enough to figure out which of them killed the angel.
Nifty is so terrifying not even Charlie was willing to catch her 😂
7:16, I am living for the "Giant Woman" song reference here 😂. This is my third time hearing someone mention it when referring to Zilla's appearance in this episode, XD.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Hearing Daphne Rubin-Vega sing again made me cry. Seeing a lot of people being all "ooh In the Heights" but Daphne is the legendary originator of Mimi Marquez in RENT. My Broadway rock power ballad queen.
I’m glad someone else immediately thought of Six when Velvet started singing.
Zestrial is such a cool character. The way he sounds and speaks with an old English speech and his design is fantastic!
Velvette is my girl too, I love her sass so much and her voice is unexpectedly perfect!
The Overlords strike me as something like mob bosses. Rivals but have their own territories and interests. They may try to outdo each other but largely have moved past direct conflict and will meet to talk shop sometimes. Alastor does seem to show respect to those he considers equals.
Omg husk snuck away when vaggie was throwing them off the building 🤣
12:14 I would say either Boleyn or Cleves, because their songs have as much attitude as Respectless and she'd nail them, but I think her voice would suit Cleves better, Aragon would also work
In case you didn't already know, Carmilla Carmine is the Overlord responsible for collecting the Angelic Weaponry left behind during the Exterminations and crafting them into new types of weapons that can permanently kill Sinners and even Goetia Royalty. The Blessed Weapons that Striker uses in Helluva Boss are some of her products; the Sniper Rifle we see in Episode 5 is actually referred to as a "Carmine-Crafted Blessing-Tipped Rifle."
As you can imagine, her success in this industry has made Carmilla one of the most wealthy and powerful Overlords in all of Hell.
I don't know if putting yourself in "walking annoyance" list of Zestial and in Carmine "stupid brat" attitude list was all that wise especially since Carmine can just..reduce shipment to the V's and reduce their weaponry
Especially after episode 4 where Val is now on another person possible hitlist and with Vox being on Alastor hit list.
Like this three piss off everyone they meet
Just another proof that a mom trying to protect their Children is one of the most powerful and scary beings in Existence.
Zestial quickly became my favorite Overlord cuz he brings a very level headed attitude & excellent old time elegance that even Alastor doesn't touch
Hell yeah another Velvette fan! I totally get what you mean about Six the musical! That voice would totally fit for Anne Boleyn in Don’t Lose Your Head.
Velvette best character ever, she's amazing ❤
The funny thing is, Velvette is right in wanting to go to war.
We've seen at the end of episode one that the angels plan to wipe out all of the sinners for even daring to kill one of them anyway, so if they're not going to fight back, Carmilla won't be able to protect her family at all.
Me: I don't know how to feel about Carmine yet
*Hears her singing*
Me: Nevermind my soul just ascended cause *DAMN*
Arguably about liking Alastor when he’s a horrible person, everyone in hell is a horrible person objectively. Except for like Charlie, they’re all in hell for a reason
Eh not necessarily, you can be a good person your entire life then do one bad thing and still end up in hell
@@jonasquinn7977 Mrs. Mayberry be like
You can tell he is a likable friendly person from his inviting smile, same with Rosie
Very approachable!
Zamber, baby, honey, sweetness... You need to be aware of the next episode.... There will be some triggering moments, but i promise, it's worth the emotional rollercoaster
I was waiting for Sir Penchis (butchered spelling) to go, "Wait, what?" At the very end there, but he didn't, and yet I'm not disappointed
And at the end, you generally get the feeling that Carmilla is going to say: “Come on, go to the room, young lady!”))
And in the moments when they are shown together in the frame, their (family?) resemblance becomes visible. In any case, Velvet has the same eyes as Carmila and her daughters - red, with a white iris, which can be considered weak evidence of their family connection.
I love Velvet so much! She's my favourite character
Keep in mind that Charlie could literally overpower Alastor if she wanted to-
So I’ll be honest to me he feels more like a fun but lowkey terrifying pest instead of a real threat
I didn't expect to love Velvette as much as I do but Respectless made her and Carmilla for me
to be fair, if anyone can find a way to kill an angel im sure it would be the greatest weapon manufacturer in Hell
6:30
Oh, come on, we all like bad boys, don't we? :3
Of course we know that Alastor can betray us any minute, and we love it!
I've watched a few of your videos now, and TH-cam keeps recommending them and I keep watching. But this reaction did it, I'm subscribed.
I love you mentioning Six!!! At first when I looked up the VA I expected her to have been in that and I was so surprised she wasn’t!!
Based on what we know about the Overlords, I'd rank them something like this:
1. Carmilla (only Demon to ever have killed an Angel, apparently)
2. Zestial
3. Alastor
4. Vox
5. Valentino
6. Velvette
Rosie is somewhere near the bottom given that she's apparently a 2 or 3 out of 10...
The Eldritch Family would be somewhere near the top since they're apparently powerful enough to directly associate with and potentially marry into the Morningstar Family...
As for Zeezi and "Wendigo," I have no effing idea...
If it helps Zamber its belived thatt Carmilla's shoes are made from holy weapons and she kicked the Angel's head off.
In one of the panel interviews with the cast I saw on screen rant, it was revealed that whole banter was ad-lib when Richard Horvitz (Moxxie in Helluva Boss and voice director of Hazbin) told them to be casual with the voice acting and that’s how that came to be
Honestly I think Velvette is one of my favorite characters so far.
She isn't making deals with heaven. She's just taking the weapons left behind by angels after each extermination.
Camilla made steikers riffle moxie daid “genuin carmine crafted angel tiped eiffle” back in heluva boss ep 5 so we know she makes weapons by melting the angel weapons down so she could probably make weapons to kill angels
I thought Lily WAS in Six the musical, I thought that was where I recognized her voice. She absolutely has the voice!
by the way, Alastair was a cannibalistic serial killer before he came to hell. He was accidentally killed for being mistaken for a deer when he was in a forest with one of his dead victims. that is why he has deer characteristics like the antlers and deer ears. Also he eats a deer carcass for breakfast - emphasizing his cannibalistic tendencies.
2nd ep: FALLING IN LOVE WITH VOX
3rd ep: VELVETTE IS MY GIRL
does this mean 4th episode is gonna be I LOVE VALENTINO or something ☠️
The fancasting Lilli Cooper in Six: The Musical is so real of you, I said the same when I watched the episode, at first I genuinely thought she was in some production of Six and when I realized she wasn't I was like: but HOW???? SHE'S PERFECT! Lol
I think it's safe to say Velvette won over a lot of people with her song in this.
Vaggie's singing voice is so pretty it is...angelic?
Vox and Valentino are much older than Velvette. Vox has been said to have died in the mainstream introduction of TV in the 60s, Valentino died in the peak of adult film in the 70s and Velvette is obviously an “influencer” demon, which makes me think she passed like a few years ago
YYYESSSS ZAMBER IS A VELVETTE FAN!!!!!!
12:45 Husk said "not worth it"
13:22 Husk sneaking away.
The DBZA song quote made my day. I wasn't prepared for that at all. Bonus props Zamber.
Him and Rosie are cute besties, the way he is all secretive about his true intentions but wants all the attention😂 that this “this bitch” face at carmilla. and just whenever he is on screen in general😁 he’s such a sassy boi
Also shout out to sir pentious and his egg boiz 🥰 I do think he will realize off camera what the eggs said and that will come back into play later
I knew you were my favorite reactor for a reason, all the other reactions I've seen hate Velvette but I LOVE her so much I'm so glad someone else loves her
Next episode you’re going to want cuddle buddies so grab Oshawott and Totodile. Grab a box of tissues too because episode 4 is a hard one to watch.
10:45 this moment right there gives me "go to your room" vibes 😅
I mean, Angel WAS honestly right about bdsm requiring a lot of trust.
Daphne Rubin Vega originated the role of Mimi Marquez in Rent and Daniela in In the Heights
12:36 zambers face💀
Love this video just got a new subscriber❤
One other thing about this show is the twists. I was thinking Vaggie killed the angel with her angelic spear. I didn't expect how it really went.
Starting the video off right with the cat looks like grandma.
YES!! WAS WAITING FOR THIS!
This series is 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥. And the songs are perfection
Hard agree, freaking LOVED Velvette’s part in Respectless, it’s been an ear worm for me since I first listened to it
Max is episode four the hardest to watch the best episode of the two best songs in the show so far can’t wait to see your reaction to this one
Alright Zamber getting to cry in the next Episode you better get to tissue For angel dust story 🤧
If she cries I'm gonna cry.
the first time i heard respectless i immediately thought "she should be anna of cleves or kathrine of aragon" omg
The song is "stayed gone"
7:17 Your Steven Universe reference brought me to tears. I miss that show🥲
Completely agree with you on Alastor. He’s a silly little guy and we all love him but also at the same time, he’s pretty much a wildcard and we have no idea what his endgame is.
Egg boys reminds me of minions form despicable me lol
“I could eat you lot for breakfast”
No the hell you couldn’t, Velvette…we’ve only seen a display of power from Alastor and he’s probably the second most powerful demon in the room
I really can’t wait to see the reaction to the next episode. You are NOT ready for ep4
