Ozzie and Fizz are absolutely adorable together, almost as much as Moxxie and Millie. Also, I love how even Ozzie, the embodiment of lust, stresses the importance of consent. Similar to how Bee-lzebub knows the dangers of using over-indulgence as a coping mechanism.
safe consumption and consent leads to more frequent use of either intercourse or gluttony which is why the sins promote it. people drink more when they feel safe. it's why a lot of bars these days try to market themselves as great places for women because they order expensive cocktails and hang out in groups as opposed to the two dudes just drinking a couple beers or shots of liquor and that's it.
@@ainamedoliver I think it's good to remember earlier episodes that it's... pretty hard for an Imp to die considering Moxxie got crushed by debris AND heavy stairs within the same episode (Cherbs). And the main trio survived a big blast from luuluu land at the end of the episode. > So I doubt that a building collapsing (as well a 2 certain characters in the next episode get crushed by a single pillar) is enough for them to get offed
To be fair with Oz he was basically praising Stolas for doing something so lust driven and it was also in the right for calling out Moxxie it was a club with lust as the main theme, Mox was literally a vibe killer he didn't even kick him out he gave him a chance to sing a more appropriate song
@@dragon-ye2mw He is praising him for, from what he knows, throwing away his family, espeically his relationship with his daughter, chasing a thrill. For Stolas at the very least the mentioning of his daughter would feel more like mockery. Otherwise, even if hse is genuinly enjoying it, it can still be intended to be both, praise and mockery. Think abou tit: His BF Fizz had just taken a shot at Stolas' date. "My dark Lord! How the mighty do fall..." clearly not praise. The whole part is on a thin line between mockery for, from Asmodeus' PoV, throwing away his family, and approval of chasing that thrill. While he is the Sin of Lust, he's also, even if he doesn't publically show it, a sucker for love. And, apparently, despite Stella abusing Stolas in public, it's not public enough for it to be really known to everyone. Soeven if he approves the general chase of the thrill, he might still not approve of Stolas hurting his loved one(s).
For a fun detail, when Fizz is being pulled by his pets, it's an omage to when Harley quinn was being pulled along by her hyenas in BTAS. Plus, for millie having her own insecurities, it's because while she's strong and built different, that's standard in Wrath. So while she's exceptional, she doesn't see it that way.
Milli outright states her insecurity is because everyone is afraid of her. She was even banned from the pain games because even the rough and tumble people of Wrath find her too aggressively violent. It's been speculated that she joined I.M.P. because it was the only place where she felt her literal blood lust was seen as a positive thing.
well, she was also banned because, unlike her sister, she didn't bother to hide the left overs. "It doesn't count if they don't find the bodies." I'm just generally annoyed at most stuff regarding MOxxie, that ISN'T a team up, boiling down to "moxxie gets put through the wringer", which for me often just doesn't have enough pay off. Harvest Moon Festival? As he has Striker on the ropes, Loona kicks a door in his face (which, to me, feels like it's intended to be funny moodwhiplash). When he calls his father out? He gets unceremoniously cut off via taser and Millie has to safe him.
And that's the problem: why would she join a group of hitmen if she wanted people to not be afraid of her? Or, maybe, they could've shown in *any way* that she wants to be more than just a killer, that would make the conflict have some basis. But, nope: they ignored the setup and went directly for an empty payoff, that now just feels like it comes out of nowhere.
@@KingVasuki Because healthy people know to seek out places where they are wanted instead of trying to change themselves? Althoug I will admit that is a bit undercut by the camp episode due to the circumstance of her being in a persona but the point still stands otherwise. Viv has said Millie was supposed to be the most mentally stable of the show. Also regarding "they could've shown in any way that she wants to be more than just a killer" that's literally what the episode did. She found a new thing that people appreciated her for.
@@HaughtyToast it's not undercut by her being in a persona, it's undercut by it coming out of nowhere. We never had a clue that she felt underappreciated that way, the closest we got was her getting banned from the pain games for being *too good* at her job. If we got an episode where Fizz and Asmodius got into an argument because Ozzie was pretending to be an elephant and every demon loved it, and Ozzie went "I finally have a chance to be appreciated for something other than being the sin of lust", should we enjoy that? No! Most people would say "where the hell did this come from!?" Again, it's not that the conflict itself is bad, it's just that it comes from a meta standpoint: we, as the audience, have seen Millie being sidelined by Moxxie from a story standpoint, but we never get a clue that she resents this... or, if we did, please do show me, because I can't remember one. If Millie finds something new that she enjoys and gives her validation, that's great! But trying to pass it off as the end of a search for recognition, when such search was never even hinted at, is less-than-stellar writing
Also remember, Millie's parents were really hard on her for getting beaten by Striker. And they seemed to be pretty judgemental about her career choices. And her sister also made fun of her. So she didn't get that much recognition and appreciation from her own family.
I love that you actually understand why the characters do the things they do. A lotta the fandom really doesn't pay attention. Or they just expect people to never have regression when it comes to past issues. I can't even do the "oh the kids are being dumb" explanation for the fandom. A lot of the adults just aren't paying attention. What exactly is the term? Media Literacy? That. The show is just trying to show how couples should work when it comes to Moxxie apologizing to Millie. And Fizz with Asmodeus. You get these two great examples of communication between partners. And then you cut back to Stolas and Blitz avoiding each other and not talking. Anyway I do hope we get Fizz and Ozzie plushies someday. I'd love to just get them together. Can't have one without the other.
The only slight issue that I had with the prior episode was that Millie had seen her husband sobbing in a porta-potty because he felt like a failure compared to her, continually fail to obtain any info about the target all week due to his own stubborness, and get relentlessly bullied by a bunch of tweens. Yet when she sees him sitting by the campfire looking visibly frustrated, she doesn't think twice about eagerly telling him about how everyone at the camp loves her so much that they're letting her put on a concert, despite the fact that he's very obviously not in the right headspace to talk about that at the moment. What he said to her after that was 100% wrong, and Millie was definitely right to call him out for it, but it really bothered me how her not reading the room and exacerbating Moxxie's insecurities because of it was never addressed (unless I'm forgetting something).
@@sushiroll3795 The entire episode before Moxxie fully crossed the line was filled with Millie trying to comfort him, cheer him up, and include him in her own success. There was nothing wrong with her behavior regarding Moxxie. She tried really hard to help him, offered him alternative solutions, and tolerated his nagging much more than she probably even needed to. She was there for him literally the entire episode, and there is literally nothing wrong with her being happy for herself. Should she have given up her own joy to make Moxxie happy, or what ? Because i think that is an unreasonable expectation to have of her, because she deserves to enjoy her own success, even if Moxxie feels down. I mean she literally tried to help him as much as she could without compromising her own happiness, and asking for more than that i think would have just made their relationship more toxic... like, is Millie just not allowed to be happy and express her joy unless Moxxie also is happy ? Should she only be allowed to enjoy herself like this if Moxxie is in a good mood ? I am sorry but i just fundamentally disagree with that. Millie is not Moxxie's "mom", they are both adults that are capable of communicating, Millie tired to help him, even trying to figure out what's wrong, but instead Moxxie became jelous of her, and that is not her fault.
@TheJeSTeR7530 I said nothing about Millie not being allowed to enjoy herself. I said that she should've taken a second to think about how telling Moxxie about the concert might trigger the insecurities that he directly told her about earlier in the episode, especially considering the fact that he was very visibly frustrated while sitting by the campfire. Considering how excited she was about the concert, it's completely understandable that she didn't think it through before telling him, but my main issue is that it didn't get acknowledged at all afterwards, and Moxxie is treated as the only one who was in the wrong there. Your partner's current mood shouldn't dictate whether you're allowed to be happy or not, but even though it was unintentional, what Millie did was essentially rub salt into the wound, and it really bothers me that she never apologized for that while Moxxie instantly said sorry after realizing that his words hurt her.
Millie was probably too excited to go through that thought process. That's probably the end of that explanation, doesn't have to be deeper than that. It happens a lot.
48:50 I would like to highlight that Fizz got clocked and knocked out by Millie back at Ozzie. Recall that she cut him off as they were finishing the refrain, so Moxxie could finish singing his ballad for her. Knowing now that Fizz is a burn victim and survivor, it makes sense why Ozzie was so shaken and worried about him, cuz Millie could’ve done serious damage to him. Ozzie did make Fizz’s prosthetics personally, so he knows how much damage Fizz can likely take even with them. And we’ve seen Millie tear through Crimson’s mafia bare handed. As someone who deals with chronic illness and chronic pain, I hope one day I can meet someone who’d love me as much as Ozzie loves Fizz, scars and all.
One of the reasons I love Alicia's reactions, especially to this show, is that she doesn't just gloss over things or spend little time on certain things. She takes a lot of time to explain things and put her input in unlike most people who react, even with just the smallest of details, and it honestly makes the reaction better and the video better as well because she's being genuine about her reaction and we also get to see things in a better or different light. I like it especially because her explanations help me understand or see things I never would have usually
1) my favourite episode of the season 2) I really hope that we'll get, at some point, an episode showing us the relationship between Verosika and Blitz before it went down the drain. Maybe even with, if not a case of making up, allowing both to really move on from it.
I'm sure she will, considering we're getting everyone else's backstory, and she's shown up again after her episode, so she's not a one-off character...
I hope so as well. Just as Fizz was shown to be an ass from our (main cast) perspective, it was shown more it was Blitz who was the ass and Fizz was actually better. Would be amazing to perhaps see the same angle with Verosika where she might've genuinely cared for Blitz but something went down that's his fault and she keeps being cruel back to beat down any feelings still there. Bet it has to do with the fact succubus can travel to the living world and before he went to Stolas he tried to use her, given in the song she mentions him being selfish, but unlike Stolas perhaps she caught on it, she felt used by him, they had a fight and then broke up.
@@prinstyrio0 I’m also hoping we get to see more of her. Although we don’t know much about her behavior while they were together, it definitely seems like Blitzø at least was an ass to her. Like you said, she mentions him being selfish both in their sex life and in their regular everyday life through one of her songs. During her first appearance, she also mentioned him ditching her at a hotel to foot the bill, stealing her car, and maxing out her credit card on horse riding lessons for himself. They also seem to imply that the last time they saw each other was before she went to rehab. Although he referenced rehab along with what she was drinking, I’d hazard to guess that she generally wasn’t in a great place by the time they broke up. And her access to the mortal realm certainly could have been one more thing that he was taking advantage of, especially considering he told Stolas “I kill people now” before they had their deal with the grimoire (implying he did have access through another method prior to then).
@@MoeRenaihonestly? i wouldn't put too much stock into the accusations from her bit in Ozzie's. Simply because she was trying to publically embarass him. Her going on about the tirade from Spring Broken would have fallen on deaf ears in Lust. Her telling him "He was shit in bed!" though? Probably striking more of a chord in Ozzie's.
This is my favorite episode so far 😭 This is the first W we see Blitz get in repairing any of his relationships - and it only happens because he finally breaks in front of someone and communicates how he really feels. It’s so appropriate that Fizz is the one that forces that out of him - and THEN, not only is he FINALLY vulnerable, but he isn’t rejected for it??? Fizz has every reason to hold onto anger, but more than anything, it’s clear all he’s ever wanted was to understand. Closure. And while things between these two will never be what they used to be, they both spend the episode laying some initial groundwork to rebuild it into something new and I just love that for them so much 😭 I agree wholeheartedly that Blitz is gonna take receiving the crystal as a rejection at first. He’s not going to be able to take any kind of confession from Stolas at face value just yet. But because he’s just lived an example of confronting his feelings leading to healing, I think this is gonna help him be able to reflect and come back to Stolas at a later time. They hitting us with that slow burn and I’m eating it up 😭
35:54 Yeah, and that’s why he’s scribbled out every image of his face in his and Loona’s apartment. Any time he looks in a mirror and sees his scar is a reminder enough of the loss of his mother, and his life with his sister and best friend.
Why his sister loathes him, why he fell out with Fizz, why he sabotaged his relationship with Verosika, and why he struggles to get close to Stolas… Makes one of his lines from the first Episode have completely different context; Moxxie: “Are we killing a family?” Blitzø: “No, we’re JUST *killing a mother* . We’re *RUINING* a family.” His own family. I think this is also why Blitzø didn’t go up to Stolas’ hospital room. I think because he never went to visit Fizz after his accident, he had a mental block keeping him from visiting Stolas after Striker’s attack. “I didn’t go last time when my best friend needed me. What rite do I have to go see a Geisha Prince?”
A nice detail that I noticed is that Blitz didn't see him during the fire because his right eye (which was the side facing him) was burnt. Fizz thought he left him on purpose but he actually just didn't notice he was there.
You are honestly the perfect person to react to this show. You take the time to think about why people act the way they do, and you are extremely open about how you feel and how the show affects you. It's awesome and beautiful.
Alicia, you're a really good reactor, thanks for what you do. Also, thanks for opening up about your issues with cancer, I pray they continue to do well. Thanks again.
genuinely shocked about the copyright claim, i haven’t seen that happen before and it’s wild to me?? but whatevs. i love this ep so so so much and i’m so hyped for the next one i know you had a FIELD DAY
Given how getting flagged with copyright sometimes works, it might not have even actually been Alex Brightman himself who flagged the video. It could have been someone else that reported it and TH-cam replied to the video saying that they’re copyrighting it because it was Alex’s song. It’s kind of hard to say who truly flagged the song really. But you are right, no one, as far as I’ve seen, has had their video flagged for this song. Hopefully Alicia won’t get claimed for all of the songs in the next episode.
@@jaydonmagan4694 That is so, *so* annoying that people can do that, and Ive definitely seen that before. Genuinely I hope everyone who does that shit has only wet socks to wear for the rest of their life. i’ll be gutted if they ruin the next ep for us youtube folks 🥺
I was genuinely surprised too since Helluva Boss is a copyright free show on TH-cam. I guess some idiot decided to ruin everything by exploiting the horrible TH-cam copyright system...
Food for thought: the writing in the previous episode is set up to be a mirror of how blitz is through the episode, where as both millie and moxie experience weakness that drives them apart but they eventually come back together with character growth, Blitz is trying to reconnect with his sister overcoming his self centered loneliness, but by the end is crushed back into his feeling of being alone and inadequate.
The best part of the Italian bit of the song was that Crimson was an Italian mob boss, and probably the only one who could tell what Fizzaroli was saying.
You mentioning the Millie stuff is so wild because whenever I see people doing blind reactions with a twitch chat there's always that one weirdo with no media literacy who says she's being selfish or that she's doing too much when we saw in the harvest festival episode she's told directly she's not allowed to participate in things because she's too good at what she does and hasn't gotten an ounce of real praise from anyone but moxxie. Even loonas compliment to her in truth seekers is backhanded because she goes after millies age. The summer camp was her only opportunity to let loose and show off all her other talents and get praise for it.
As someone who always felt some sort of significance to episode 5 , your talk about Millie and Moxxie made me love you even more 😭💕💕 (It’s also nice to see a reactor with similar thoughts about writing and emotions)
Goodness that reaction to the flashback was just so raw and real. Most people are shocked, but they don't let themselves sit with it because they're trying to be entertaining. That was just... the best
My mother will tell the story every time role playing, stage plays or costumes comes up. I was 7 or so and had really no interest in Halloween. When she asked me why, I said, according to her: "It's hard enough being me, how could it fun being someone else."
15:35 Huh, I just thought they did the gender flip thing because Millie's horns could easily be hidden with a variety of hats, but Moxie's were too large to cover except with a comically oversized hat or as a hairstyle.
The problem with the previous episode is that Moxxie was trying too hard to show how good he was leading an operation on his own, it completely took over his brain. He did not take the immediate kill because he wanted to show he could McGuyver his way through it, and play the perfect theatrical "spy". And his failure is what compounded everything. In his head, he should have been bale to infiltrate the mean girls, find out that professor plum did it with the revolver and then kill him in one fell swoop.
@@miguelbailey95 sashmiel might be talking abotu "that was Moxxie's Problem IN the episode". For me, personally, the issue is that, befor ehte episode, there were a lot of complaints about wanting more character stuff for Millie (and, for me, giving MOxxie some badassery spotlight for SOLO stuff, rather than him basically only really shining in team ups), so the stuff feels like it was meant to be a bit of a meta story of "We saw how you are displease at Millie being Moxxie's sattelite character, so we put that into this story!"
This and episode 7 are so emotional. Also, you should do an analysis video on Moxxie. Seemed like you had a lot to say about him. 24:32: God damnit, Blitzo. 🤦
It was stated in a post that a lot of parallels were purposely put between this episode, and Looloo land: Robo fizz walking out of a burning circus tent on fire. The fact that it was green flame. The fact that once again the fire was started by blitz bumping into Wally Wackford. (yeah, the young imp in the flashback with the birthday cake is a younger Wally Wackford the guy that was selling pre-lit torches.) Also, without even seeing any episodes to really confirm it. Just going by the context clues in this episode. I’m pretty sure the two people responsible for most of Blitzo’s self hatred. Are his father and possibly even his sister.
Re: Millard and Moxxine. Millie getting to experience the validation of being a cool teen boy vs. Moxxie getting to experience the rejection of being a teen girl. The genderbending aspect is deeper than just them wanting to have fun, it directly impacts the way they are treated throughout the episode and the conflict that arises
Yeah Stolas was called out for things being transactional, so he's removing that transaction from the relationship. But the way Blitz is I think he's not going to realize that and is going to see it as rejection and get really insecure about it.
"You have no idea what I lost in that fire." Says Blitzo to the guy he was raised alongside as practically a brother, whom had undoubtedly met his best friend's mom many many times since they all lived in the same circus troop.
One thing I thought about just now after listening to Alicia talking about episode 5 season 2. one thing I heard other talk about with Millie's character is that She is from the Wrath Ring, where being physical strong is the norm and not something special, and because most imps in the wrath ring were strong and talent like her siblings.. She probably felt like the compliment she gets for her strength and such are not that impactful for her seeing as Being physical strong and have a lot of strength is the normal in the wrath ring.. so when she get complimented about the things she does in the camp, it makes her feel good and valeted. just an small thing I heard other youtuber mention.. so just wanted to put it down before I forget it.
Sick, I love this episode Had a power outage last night, and my phone signal sucks, so I'm boutta let this buffer for an eternity, then watch, and repeat lmao Can't wait for more reactions, I absolutely love your videos 😊
Fizz and Ozzie are hands down the best relationship in the show, in my opinion. It’s what Stolitz want to be, but it has its own unique flaws. At least both of them obviously love each other and make that obvious to one another. Fizz is my Favourite character rn for Helluva Boss and he deserves to be hurt by what Blitzo did, even if it was an accident! He’s followed closely by Stolas and then Loona.
Thank you for another amazing reaction i've been binge watching all your hazbin hotel and helluva boss reactions. You bring so much joy and fun and understanding to the episodes and pick up on things that other reactors tend to gloss over or they'll hyperfocus on 1 area and not take into account the bigger picture like what you do which is great. Also i'm sorry your twitch chat seemed to be acting up and there was people causing unnecessary drama for you.
As much as we all want to see Blitzø and Stolas happy, I’m not sure Stolas giving Blitzø the Asmodean Crystal is going to be enough. It’s a step in the right direction certainly, but like you said I’m not sure Blitzø is ready emotionally to accept the gift for what it is. I’m half expecting him to interpret the gift negatively (such as Stolas not wanting to see him anymore). It will be interesting to see how it all plays out.
I just love how Helluvaboss can be "haha funni" one moment and then the next instant kick on the afterburners and pull 10 emotional gees like its regular tuesday
I thought the sabotage that would let them see each other was every friend that would get close enough to either of them would eventually know their animosity toward their brother, and so, if they happen to meet them before meeting their brother, would say "he really doesn't want to see you", seeming to protect their friend from assumed sentimental harm
Honestly, and not a spoiler because she watched this and the next episode at the same time, my thought was that it was Mammon. I mean, he already had the abusive pageant mom thing with Fizz. What better way to force your cash cow's emotional reliance on you and you alone than by purposefully alienating him from the one friend he could have left?
If you tell yourself that you're "da shit" that's just ego. If your loved ones tell you that you're "da shit" that's bias. If every mofo tell you that you're "da shit" that means you're "da shit".
Considering how much traction Alicia = Blitzø has had in this series, it's really cute and fitting that, in the first few minutes of behind the curtain looks at him, she sees herself in Fizz as well
16:00 Regarding Moxxie's costume, there was a certain reality to consider as well. His horns. Notice how they were too large to hide under a hat and the best he could do was use his hair to cover them. The twin tails hairstyle is overwhelmingly associated with girls. As such, it made sense to try to pass himself as a girl for a possibly long term mission. And having Millie go as aboy was to cover the bases, in case there might be a situation where a boy would have an easier time going somewhere than a girl would.
I love how most TH-cam reactors can play the whole episodes of things without having to do any cutting editing, but they choose to go after people specific people. I’ve seen this posted many times full songs, unedited and they haven’t been claimed or nothing by anybody but that’s the TH-cam algorithm for you once you’re chosen by the algorithm you get no quarter no brakes.
I will say episode 5 was my least favourite, but I do understand it. Moxxie grew up in an abusive household (after Crimson killed his mother), that lead to a fear of rejection and his understanding of social ques.
I love this and the next episode not 9nly is fizz one of my top favorites learning about not only fizz and Ozzie's relationship but blitzo and fizz's falling out and seemingly healing relationship is so good blitzo finally has someone from his past that doesn't completely hate him
My issue with Happy Campers was that it felt like there was a lack of focus when it came to what Moxxie wanted. The beginning of the episode, the ending of the episode, and Moxxie’s blow up at Millie all point to the mission being his priority, but for the rest of the episode he’s focused on getting validation from the teens. He’s never doing any actual sleuthing and he never asks any of the teens for info. So I had a hard time figuring out what Moxxie’s goal was. Did he want to impress Blitz or get to live out the childhood he never got? If he was using one as the cover for the other, that’d be fine, but that’s not what he was doing. He wasn’t into the job because it was at a camp, but because he thought he could impress Blitz. But then he kept sabotaging the mission to ply with the teens. And there was never any moment where he reflects and realizes that, in trying to get both, he got neither. It felt like there was just a lack of focus from the writers.
OMG, you put it into words! The choice to have them immediately identify the suspect but ignore it had me lose interest in what could have been an interesting shake-up to their missions
Also, did anybody else think that Millie was being uncharacteristicly obtuse at the start of their campfire argument scene? She's usually super in tune with his emotions, but she doesn't stop and think that maybe it might not be a good idea to excitedly tell him about something that directly relates to his insecurities when he's visibly frustrated?
Another interesting thing I noticed is that episode 2 hinted at what happened between Blitz and Fiz without shoving it in your face. Blitz knocked into the guy selling the "inconvenient torches" which burned everything, especially the Fiz robot.
To add on ep. 5 that episode also highlighted that even the most perfect relationships can have rocky spots too and i love me some character development
38:15 - it had to be Cash, he gave Fizz a card stating that he wished Fizz was his son and that was what Blitz didnt like. undoubtedly after the fire and losing his wife, he probably abandoned his son in favor of Fizz, but moved on quickly after realizing that Fizz would seemingly never be able to perform again. at least that's my theory anyway, there's been no sign of that son of a bitch since the fire.
In regards to episode 5, my only gripe with it is that Moxxie picked a role for himself that is just NOT in his skillset. If the investigation was decided BY Blitzø, & then he just wasn't able to go along with them, that'd be fine. But Moxxie was the one that setup the entire plan. I would've been more okay with Moxxie trying multiple angles after the Moxxine idea clearly wasn't working, & he just didn't do very well with most of them. But instead he doubled, tripled, & quadrupled down on it.
That Thirsty Boy coffee mug was onscreen for less than 2 seconds, and I immediately had to have one. First time product placement has ever worked on me.
I think Moxxie getting jealous in the previous episode makes absolute sense. He is constantly put down by essentially everyone except his wife. And here, for the first time, a mission was led by him. It was supposed to be about him, about him being the main character, and yet, his wife outshone him, putting him back in second place... and then everyone of the Humans shat on him, putting him right back to his usual position: At the very bottom. Who wouldn't be frustrated in that situation? And combined with all the abuse he regularly received for years, it triggered his temper to boil over, probably making him think thoughts along the lines of "It was supposed to be different this time, but it just turned out the same. I can't do anything right, nobody likes me, I'll always stay a loser" ect. But being the good bean he is, he instantly recognized that his lashing out was wrong and took steps to fix his momentary mistake.
In my defense of calling that episode the worst episode- regression, is a common trait in people trying to change, most people experience it The main problem with moxie as a whole is sort of contradicting. He's the most outspoken character within the main cast, next to Blitz and a bit more than Loona (she's just mad and it takes actual conflict for her to) but Moxie is capable of doing as such, he stuck to his guns to Ozzie and blitz, and had an arc to get confidence with Millie father But he's apparently afraid of rejection? I'd agree with you more, If he wasn't the most “developed” character with a total of like what? 6-7 episodes in the two seasons, with about 15 episodes He's basically the main focus of the series next to Fizz, stolas, and Blitz. I just wished within the 2 seasons some of the development and words people say to him actually stuck-Lucifer on Netflix did this infinitely better when Lucy regressed and actually is a major plot point of each small issue he has with family and flaws he has and actually develops. As well with the regression and flaws there are actual consequences, Millie just yelled at him once out of the many episodes where he's the main focus where he could of stuck to his development
@@Huppa3333 oh, it absolutely is, I'm not saying the inclusion of regression is a bad thing. But since it's a series, its job is to show arcs for characters to develop instead of learning the same lesson just narratively repetitive(as I've said he's had multiple episodes dedicated to him and he's yet to actually develop). Its execution though should have just been better. With personal experience with being a regressive person and people who, especially with how supportive the people he has been, there should have been or hopefully in the future an episode a dressing his repedative and lack of development and pretty contradicting information he has
@@Huppa3333 but like I said, it was just talking about one of the many issues I have (Good world-building does not come from constantly tweeting trivia on Twitter. Millie or Loona never. (no moments of showing another side of a character is not development or focus)
@@reflection6401 I mean, you do you, but I honestly think S2 Ep 5 was absolutely fine. I liked it, and I'm not the sort to scrutinize my favorite shows. If Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss was even really half as bad as every critic said, the show wouldn't have last as long as it does. Its still going because the show is doing something right, and it doesn't have to get better, just be itself.
Idk if anyone else pointed this out. But Ozzie ate that lawyer. Chicken are omnivores and fizz for a split second is wiping black blood off his beak. Plus there’s black blood by the door handle
41:41 One of the top three best songs of the season so far! 43:30 The Necronomicon Ex Mortis from the Evil Dead franchise, I’ll always love that they put that there
Fun fact: There's little hints that Ozzie and Fizz might actually be getting married eventually. Topmost hint being that someone on the team posted art of Fizz, but they referred to Fizz as "The Queen," making most people assume he'll eventually become the queen of the lust ring
I appreciate your insight on the unhappy campers episode. I fully agree. Too many people don't dissect or analyze the scenarios deeper than what is happening on the surface.
Blitz really needed this exact scenario. He faced his trauma, if you listen just before they get shot at he admits "I do hate me", but instead of Fizz also hating him and validating the negative thoughts he invalidates them. You didn't ruin my life, I'm not broken, sure fuck you still, but it's ok that it happened. That's what Blitz needed in order to even start the road to recovery. It won't immediately fix his and Stolas' relationship, but it allows Blitz to at least grasp that he is allowed to be happy.
Headcanon is that blitzos dad is why blitzo and fizz didnt talk for that long and that he got some kind of insurance and bought the original set of robo limbs for fizz to get him to work for mammon
My main issue with Unhappy Campers is more that it's like...a microcosm of the show. It's an entire episode where Millie finally gets a moment in the spotlight because she's always just hovering around Moxxie's stories, but on a meta level it's STILL an episode about Moxxie, because the show abjectly refuses to have a Millie episode. Just before that, we'd gotten an episode where Millie starts off ranting about her ex, and it SOUNDS like it's going to be a Millie story, but nope! It's actually ALSO Moxxie's ex, and the fact that Millie dated him too is completely irrelevant to the story. We go visit Millie's parents? It's a Moxxie episode about his insecurity. Moxxie gets kidnapped and Millie has to go rescue him? It's a Moxxie story about his connections with Blitzo. The episode is fine in a vacuum, but it bugs me because in a show that will not give Millie an episode about herself, they make an episode where they're like "Wow, isn't it crazy that Moxxie won't let Millie have an experience for herself?" and it comes across SO tone deaf that it's almost insulting to people who actually want to examine Millie a bit more.
and at the same time, Moxxie never gets his shot at just being badass. Millie saves him in a "badass sequence" multiple times. Only times he is allowed to really show is in team ups. Moxxie? First Episode: his fault to begin with. Also, human opponents. Harvest Moon? he got put through the wringer for the whole episode, got captured, Millie gers captured trying to save him. Moxxie gets Striker on the ropes... Loona kicks a door in his face. CHERUB: team up fight. Truth Seekers: Team up fight at the end, against people Loona and Millie were already massacring on the way in. Not much of a dramatic stake. And Blitz stomps on Moxx. X's and O's ? Moxxie calls his dad out and gets unceremoniously tasered. Millie has to save him. The climax could've been him telling Crimson out and sticking it to him. his second fight vs Striker? team up fight and Striker, if the statue hadn't been, is still MORE than their match.
@@undertakernumberone1 I don't really mind all that so much. I don't think Moxxie NEEDS badass moments, and being part of the team is part of the appeal of everything. But when you combine that with Millie never being the emotional center of an episode the way everyone else has been, it does make Millie feel bit deus ex-y, pun intended. Moxxie is written fine. Extremely well, even. Alicia even goes into a lot of details here about how much his actions track, and being bailed out by the team isn't an exclusively bad thing, especially if the show is about the team AND the people on it. And that can be narrowed down to the show being about the relationship and the people IN it. But it seems to be more about the relationship and...Moxxie. Millie just needs more time in the spotlight.
@@AbyssalRook You don't mind it. Me and other MOxxie fans do. The show is abotu "the taem and the people on it"... Yet Moxxie is the go to CHEWTOY! "we want something hbad to happen to someone? Take Moxxie!" The two times MOxxie is allowed to save the day on his own... is when he is the reason for why they are in trouble int he first place! ANd when the whole episode was putting Moxxie through the wringer and Millie got caught as she tried to save him. For you, it doesn't matter. For us, it's growing increasingly thin. Millie basically only revolges around Oxxie (even in the camp episode, it ends up tying to him) while Moxxie never gets to shine. on his own. All of them should have their time to shine. BUt for Moxxie, whenever he gets there, he gets cut off. Or it's focusing on THE TEAM ratheer than him. Especially X's and O's is annoying in that regard, with him being knocked out as he calls out his dad so that Millie can save him. I think MOxxie should've called out his dad, knee capped or shot the guy with the taser to make the point stick, while for Milllie, if they hadnt made it a joke about CHazz aving been her ex (which... really doens'T play into anything except Blitz ) as well, it could'Ve been abotu, well, her run in with her ex while the whole thing is going on. It's like the show is trying to prevent him from having his mooment. Maybe it is to make an eventua big pay off feel all the sweeter... but for me, it might end up being "too little, too late". Heres the point: THey are a team... yet Moxxie is absically continously portrayed as the weak link when, in general, they are basically supposed to be more or less equally skilled in their different areas. Leaving Loona out, Millie is the Melee Monster, Blitz is the gneeralist who's good at both, and Moxxie is the gunner... yet his expertise is also far less focused on in preference to melee carnage. ANd team up fights don't balance that out, because, in the end, all of them have to look good there. It feels like "Moxxie is a generally likeable guy, so we dont have to bother too much with making him look good, and everyone will feel bad when he feels bad."
The whole deal with the Ozzy crystal, the choice it presents Blitz, and what it means to Stolas to give Blitz that choice....all of that is kinda touched on in the Helluva Boss music video "Look My Way." No spoilers other than that, just bring your tissues.
I wonder if people forget that Mox TRIED to stand out in a more masculine way back at the Harvest Moon Festival and the whole lesson from that was "Use what you're good at" after it didn't work out. Moxxie is a theater kid instead of a jock, the Millard role would've absolutely not worked for him either, so he played to what he figured would be more his strength. He did NOT do good, but the choice makes sense. As does being frustrated with NEITHER approach seeming to work out.
Alicia is so sharp, I think that's exactly how it's going to backfire. Blitzo feels safer having a transactional excuse for being with Stolas. Taking that away is going to feel like rejection. :(
Kind of going into the weeds a bit, but I have a fan-theory. Spoilers ahead for those that haven't seen the episode. Blitzø has mentioned that he's not from Wrath, where Imps are traditionally from. Lesser demons (such as Imps, Hellhounds, Sharks, etc) each have their own original Ring they come from, but they're not limited to just the Pride Ring like Sinners are. In Pride, it's a constant battle of wills, as if the sin of pride ties together with willpower. In that scene where Blitzø causes that chaotic chain-reaction to press the button, it's as if Blitzø is willing it to happen. If an Imp is born in Pride over multiple generations, it may be possible that they pick up some of that from their new environment. If true, this explains Blitzø's life perfectly: his self-sabotage is so effective because he's literally willing it to happen, whether consciously aware of it or not.
This issue with Blitz and Stolas’ book is that Blitz only has it as part of a deal for sex with Stolas. It reinforces Blitz’s belief that he is little more than a sex object for Stolas. There is a major power imbalance in their relationship as things currently stand.
Alicia: "im not Fizz"
Also Alicia: "Id do that" *to every thing fizz does*

Stolas: “I love words 😊”
Stolas back in Truth Seekers: “They are seen as ‘kooks’…Hehe, ‘kooks’, such a silly word.”
I mean that tracks
With all the divorce bullshit that Stolas has to deal with right now, I'm sure he's become rather careful when it comes to paperwork.
I love how scared that deal maker is once his leverage is over :D
AND he instigated adultery, so you know he getting fucked sideways
Ozzie and Fizz are absolutely adorable together, almost as much as Moxxie and Millie. Also, I love how even Ozzie, the embodiment of lust, stresses the importance of consent. Similar to how Bee-lzebub knows the dangers of using over-indulgence as a coping mechanism.
Very interesting.
safe consumption and consent leads to more frequent use of either intercourse or gluttony which is why the sins promote it. people drink more when they feel safe. it's why a lot of bars these days try to market themselves as great places for women because they order expensive cocktails and hang out in groups as opposed to the two dudes just drinking a couple beers or shots of liquor and that's it.
The funny thing is that Asmodeus knows Crim's face now and has a very good reason to kill him. I wonder how long Crim will be alive now

@@ainamedoliverno that falls under the no body no death rules especially with how ambiguous it was
@@justanotherperson3076 Ohhhh that makes more sense
@@ainamedoliver I think it's good to remember earlier episodes that it's... pretty hard for an Imp to die considering Moxxie got crushed by debris AND heavy stairs within the same episode (Cherbs). And the main trio survived a big blast from luuluu land at the end of the episode.
> So I doubt that a building collapsing (as well a 2 certain characters in the next episode get crushed by a single pillar) is enough for them to get offed
Moxie: Get in line
To be fair with Oz he was basically praising Stolas for doing something so lust driven and it was also in the right for calling out Moxxie it was a club with lust as the main theme, Mox was literally a vibe killer he didn't even kick him out he gave him a chance to sing a more appropriate song
while he was praising him, it could also be interpreted to be mock-praise.
@@Ashurman666 very badly kept that secret I tell ya
@@undertakernumberone1 really? I always saw him as overjoyed, going by his voice and facial expressions
@@Ashurman666 to be fair Ozzie doesn't seem that good at lying either
Sad fact:the birthday card Blitz’s dad gave Fizz had something along the lines of “I wish you were my son” on the front. Yeah…
Then, that "Dad" must be the one who sabotaged those two! I'm having a big feeling about it
Milli outright states her insecurity is because everyone is afraid of her.
"It doesn't count if they don't find the bodies."
I'm just generally annoyed at most stuff regarding MOxxie, that ISN'T a team up, boiling down to "moxxie gets put through the wringer", which for me often just doesn't have enough pay off.
No! Most people would say "where the hell did this come from!?"
Again, it's not that the conflict itself is bad, it's just that it comes from a meta standpoint: we, as the audience, have seen Millie being sidelined by Moxxie from a story standpoint, but we never get a clue that she resents this... or, if we did, please do show me, because I can't remember one.
Maaan, Alicia, your emotional intelligence is off the charts. You read the characters so well, and you relate and empathize readily.
Trust me there is
One of the reasons I love Alicia's reactions, especially to this show, is that she doesn't just gloss over things or spend little time on certain things.
1) my favourite episode of the season
2) I really hope that we'll get, at some point, an episode showing us the relationship between Verosika and Blitz before it went down the drain. Maybe even with, if not a case of making up, allowing both to really move on from it.
Yeah I was thinking the same!
I really hope we see more of
Verosika this season, she
was one of favs in season 1
Closure. And while things between these two will never be what they used to be, they both spend the episode laying some initial groundwork to rebuild it into something new and I just love that for them so much 😭
I agree wholeheartedly that Blitz is gonna take receiving the crystal as a rejection at first.
Why his sister loathes him, why he fell out with Fizz, why he sabotaged his relationship with Verosika, and why he struggles to get close to Stolas…
Makes one of his lines from the first Episode have completely different context;
Moxxie: “Are we killing a family?”
Blitzø: “No, we’re JUST *killing a mother* . We’re *RUINING* a family.”
His own family.
About your last line, Blitz did try to visit Fizz, but he was sent away by other people who told him that Fizz didnt want to see him
@@slayer8630was about to point this out
A nice detail that I noticed is that Blitz didn't see him during the fire because his right eye (which was the side facing him) was burnt. Fizz thought he left him on purpose but he actually just didn't notice he was there.

Yeah, THIS is why Blitz has so much baggage. NOBODY walks away from that kind of trauma without major issues
Asmodeus is like “It’s all about consent!”
this one ep gives all the context for why bliz act the way he dose
The problem with the previous episode is that Moxxie was trying too hard to show how good he was leading an operation on his own, it completely took over his brain. He did not take the immediate kill because he wanted to show he could McGuyver his way through it, and play the perfect theatrical "spy". And his failure is what compounded everything. In his head, he should have been bale to infiltrate the mean girls, find out that professor plum did it with the revolver and then kill him in one fell swoop.
That's not a problem with the ep though. That was literally the point cause we know Moxie can get obsessive so this was his extreme version
It felt way OOC for the sake of making arbitrary conflict, people just HAASTE that trope
Just want to take this minute to say thank you for everything that you do, Alicia, you rock and the world is a brighter place with you in it.
35:40 Yeah, imps scar white. If you see a white mark on an imp's skin, that's a scar. Think of that when you see Moxxie's freckles.
This and episode 7 are so emotional. Also, you should do an analysis video on Moxxie. Seemed like you had a lot to say about him.
24:32: God damnit, Blitzo. 🤦
It was stated in a post that a lot of parallels were purposely put between this episode, and Looloo land:
Robo fizz walking out of a burning circus tent on fire.
The fact that it was green flame.
The fact that once again the fire was started by blitz bumping into Wally Wackford.
(yeah, the young imp in the flashback with the birthday cake is a younger Wally Wackford the guy that was selling pre-lit torches.)
Also, without even seeing any episodes to really confirm it. Just going by the context clues in this episode. I’m pretty sure the two people responsible for most of Blitzo’s self hatred.
Are his father and possibly even his sister.
When Striker caught them he addressed Blitz as Blitzy. I think Stolas really got into his head during that last abduction.
I love your reactions to this series but what i love the most are the deep scene breakdowns you do
Re: Millard and Moxxine.
"You have no idea what I lost in that fire."
Says Blitzo to the guy he was raised alongside as practically a brother, whom had undoubtedly met his best friend's mom many many times since they all lived in the same circus troop.
Sick, I love this episode
Had a power outage last night, and my phone signal sucks, so I'm boutta let this buffer for an eternity, then watch, and repeat lmao
Can't wait for more reactions, I absolutely love your videos 😊
Girl your emotional intelligence is SOOO good!!! I’m SO glad I found you through Helluva Boss!! (Literally the only V-tuber I’ve ever watched 😅)
YESSS YOUR REACTION TO MY FAVOURITE EPISODE THIS SEASON!!!! IVE WAITED SOO LONG! I love you Alicia, only wish I’d come across you sooner! Also first!
Thank you for explaining to people that episode 5 wasn't bad cause i actually loved it
you’re one of the few to delve so deep into the feelings and i’m all here for it ❤
I just love how Helluvaboss can be "haha funni" one moment and then the next instant kick on the afterburners and pull 10 emotional gees like its regular tuesday
Fizz waggling his arms with his pupils going wide is a meme to a s1 episode of Spongebob.
Also, a dancing Alicia to no music is kinda funny. 😂
I’ve seen this posted many times full songs, unedited and they haven’t been claimed or nothing by anybody but that’s the TH-cam algorithm for you once you’re chosen by the algorithm you get no quarter no brakes.
this and the next episode are 100% my favorite of the season!
I will say episode 5 was my least favourite, but I do understand it. Moxxie grew up in an abusive household (after Crimson killed his mother), that lead to a fear of rejection and his understanding of social ques.
The problem with episode 5 is all the summer camp cliches the dynamic between Moxie and Millie is the saving grace of the episode
Something to note: Fizz's entire face is burnt EXCEPT for his nose, reason being he was wearing a clown nose which blocked the blast.
Didn't he want to blend in first
OMG, you put it into words!
The choice to have them immediately identify the suspect but ignore it had me lose interest in what could have been an interesting shake-up to their missions
@@tobsonasanya4765 That’s what he said, but he was more focused on just being popular. Even his whole song at the campfire was “pay attention to me.”
Thank you Alicia for not just skipping the song but still giving us the reaction even without the show audio
"You're STILL on the horse thing?!" Imagine Blitz's reaction if he ever meets Orobas - one of the Princes of the Ars Goetia, WHO IS A HORSE DEMON.
In my defense of calling that episode the worst episode- regression, is a common trait in people trying to change, most people experience it
The main problem with moxie as a whole is sort of contradicting.
He's the most outspoken character within the main cast, next to Blitz and a bit more than Loona (she's just mad and it takes actual conflict for her to) but Moxie is capable of doing as such, he stuck to his guns to Ozzie and blitz, and had an arc to get confidence with Millie father
But he's apparently afraid of rejection?
I'd agree with you more, If he wasn't the most “developed” character with a total of like what? 6-7 episodes in the two seasons, with about 15 episodes
He's basically the main focus of the series next to Fizz, stolas, and Blitz.
Absolutely agree. I just wish these ideas were executed in a more consistent/palatable way too
People don't understand how easy it is to slip back into your old, harmful routines. It could take days before I realized I'm doing it again.
With personal experience with being a regressive person and people who, especially with how supportive the people he has been, there should have been or hopefully in the future an episode a dressing his repedative and lack of development and pretty contradicting information he has
@@Huppa3333 but like I said, it was just talking about one of the many issues I have
(Good world-building does not come from constantly tweeting trivia on Twitter.
Ozzie did miss lunch to be fair, he only had some candy
@@vegvisir9276 mhm, he was probably starving by the time they were done. So he was hangry /lh
Blitz hating himself so much that he is blind to actual affection is deeply saddening
This is the best pairing!
The next episode is gonna be 🔥!
Fizz's entrance is so low-key that no one has mentioned the bank robbery.
46:59 Oz demonstrates the duality of guys
49:22 Damn, does Rich call you "Sloppenheimer" because of that bomb ass head you gave him?
Just wanted to say fantastic work on handling the song muting. Everyone knows the song at this point but keeping in the reaction was a treat.
Blitzø hates himself so much he cant even comprehend someone actually loving him so he actively pushes people away
I applaud how much effort this show puts in to make us despise Crimson.
Aw, I wanted to hear her comment on "It can never be too large" XD
Happy late birthday Alicia and I hope you are really enjoying helluva boss like I do
Aww 🥰 all the cuteness overload.
"*Gasp* Fizzy!"
Is so gosh darn cute
The whole bit w the campers w/ their cosplay was some next Jesse & James from Pokemon disguises
Now you’ve gotta watch Stolas’ song Just Look My Way! It’s amazing, and it’s about the aftermath of this episode.
"Who sabatoged them?" Probably Blitz's dad. Fiz made the money and Blitz just burned his tent down.
My guess it was Cash who sabotaged Blitz and Fizz's friendship. He saw the fire as a chance to cut Blitz off completely.
I doubt we will get the chance to see it in canon, but i would LOVE to see most of the characters sitting down to a D&D session haha
This issue with Blitz and Stolas’ book is that Blitz only has it as part of a deal for sex with Stolas. It reinforces Blitz’s belief that he is little more than a sex object for Stolas.
There is a major power imbalance in their relationship as things currently stand.
