so armand, who put the whole coven to sleep in like half a second, couldn't fight them all cause they would kill him, so his only choice was to backstab them🙄🤨 Armand just be lying 😂🤣
Exactly like I know damn well Armond could have did a quick mind read to figure what was going on and then you controlled them for 150 years but you can’t stop them from killing Claudia….. and then Louis STILL WIT HIM OMFSSSS
exactly! and we already see that armand's favorite exit strategy is to let his latest boo handle his coven for him. he did it with lestat back in the day and he's doing it with louis now.
@RowensARTstudio Louis try to use his sexuality as a way to have power over Armand. There's a point in time where Louis needed to step up and be a father and demand that Claudia leaves with him. The same way Lestat has sex with Armand and abandoned the coven Louis should have done the same thing. 🤷♀️ After this scene Claudia stated in her diary that she hated Paris. Before she ever even had an attachment to Madeline they should have got out of there.
@RowensARTstudio this is a well articulate response I understand exactly what you're trying to say and honestly I agree when you spell it out like that. Yes Claudia has been very arrogant. I saw it more as even though Claudia is an adult she has the impulses of a teenager. She's still eating twice as much then the average vampire. Her brain stopped developing at 14 I thought that was fully established. That's why I said Louie needs to be in control of that. But I do understand what you're saying
I like the dialogue between Louis and Armand in Dubai talking about what they're going to put on the wall. They probably have these unimportant conversations for hours. They talk to each other like they have all the time in the world because they do.
I think they left the wall bare in the show to metaphorically symbolize that Louis and Armand are not going to cover the cracks in the relationship anymore.
@@brittanywallace6485also I think usually armand gets to choose and control how everything looks and Louis probably didn’t notice until now bc he’s hyper vigilant of Armand’s influence over his life atm
@@yourvalentine3726 I totally understand what you’re saying. But that was a major part of Louis past, and I just can’t see him asking Armand to erase that. Cause Louis also likes to believe that he’s so righteous, so him trying to un alive himself because of Claudia death would show how heartbroken he was. And putting the blame on someone else would be his thing. So I don’t believe he told Armand to erase that
Some of you thirsty queens still defending Armond. I’m sorry but no. Ain’t no way he ain’t know or could easily stop what the coven was doing. This all happened by HIS design and truth be told, I think Louis STILL buying this fan-fiction he’s been selling for 70 years.
And people WHO READ the books, know WHY Armand is eff up, out of ALL the vampires, his backstory is eff up. But no, he is "evil." That's why I see him as a victim, too! He was a slave, forced into this religious cult, and was abandoned.
To be honest, all of them aren't perfect! Lestat has anger issues, beater, a cheater. Louis is still the "pimp" and using people for therapy, I guess. But no, it's ONLY Armand.
This show has me in a headlock! It's so GOOD! The cast, acting, writing, cinematography, music, story, and EVERYTHING about this show are perfect! I love your reviews, so keep up the good work!
After Louis asked kisses Armand yo shut him up, Armand says "dont tell me i can't keep my mind closed any longer" So what I interpreted was that he had been focusing on not letting anyone into his mind that he wasnt dropping it to peer into anyone else's so that the others didn't know about the other rules being broken.
I do really hope the issue of the missing pages is addressed by the end of this season because that’s been a lingering mystery since episode 4 of last season
Nah, I don't believe Armand. Even in the book Claudia Armand communicated telepathically with Claudia telling her he wanted her gone, but Louis of course was in denial. Warning: Spoilers from the Book (but AMC is sticking pretty close to the source material, just tweaking things a little) In the book when Lestat comes to Paris to bring Claudia and Louis back to New Orleans, Armand uses him in the trial (Lestat gets tricked into testifying against Louis and Claudia, Santiago tells him they won't be killed or whatever), drains him and then drops him from a tower lol. So, if Armand could easily get rid of Lestat (don't worry he doesn't die, because he still has Akasha's blood, just gets weakened) of course he could have saved Louis, Claudia, and Madeline.
To me this episode was Louis' turning point, he felt forced to cut the last thread that held him and all that left was the pain of emptiness and bitterness, the self-harm moment after transforming Madeline seems very representative, a creature who reached the numb state, I think it's the episode that most characterizes Louis' depression
I was about to say that too. As someone whose experienced depression so bad in college I immediately understood that kind of coldness in that moment…that kind of apathy…its why I actually dont hate him too bad during this episode. Cause I get it.
Armand's had me HEATED all dang season! 😡 Louis asked under DURESS, yes! He had just committed suicide; ofc he wasn't in the right mental state to be asking to forget his traumatic memories, and Armand was hella dirty for going along with it and erasing them when he knew good & well Louis was mentally unstable & grieving! *(calms down)* This is no excuse for how heinous Armand's been, and all the effed up things he did to Claudia, Madz & Louis, but all Armand knows is coven life--he'd never lived on his own; he went from living under his Master/Maker Marius's roof & rules, then was kidnapped & brainwashed by the Children of Satan for the next 300 years. They effed him up BADLY; I hope AMC actually goes into it all, cuz Armand was really put through Hell until he actually started believing in the rules. Being with Louis helped break him out of it a little, but it wasn't until he met Daniel that Armand REALLY started shedding that cult nonsense. He's seriously maladjusted; neither he nor Louis needed to be in a relationship--ESPECIALLY not with each other, and DEFINITELY not for as long as they were together. 😞
I love that these characters can piss us off until we’re cursing them out, and then in the next breath we’re all…….BUT 🤦🏾♀️ I’m like that with my favorite Lestat, but I am an Armand sympathizer, so I get it. That damn Santiago has me so entertained I forget about throat punching him and tossing him in sun. It’s gonna be on next episode. I’m riding at dawn with Louis. We whooping feet damnit!
No, but finding out Louie is a low-key sociopath is kind of giving me everything that I need. And to the actress that played Claudia she deserved the Oscar for that performance point blank. Give her every award this award season.
Listening👂🏽 I will say as a Lestat stan, especially with Sam Reid bringing him to life, he is EVERYTHING!!! Armand (Assad) is an equally beautiful man in my eyes. That being said, Armand is no Lestat 😂
Finding out that makers and their vamps can feel each other adds context to "the vampire bond" and how deeply intense Louis and Lestat felt for each other. And Claudia 3rd wheeling for all of that lol. Before things got bad in season 1, it must have felt comforting for Claudia to feel all that love. When they started plotting, I always felt like Lestat knew Louis was more hesitant and would try to stop Claudia. Now we know he could have actually felt it along with the shift of emotions during their silent conversations. If I was Lestat, I would have been anxious as heck and made another vampire to be nosy too. It also makes sense that Claudia's love for Louis wanes when she's no longer feeling the full force of their love.

The intriguing thing about him is that i don’t think he’s telling all lies, there’s some truth there but it’s muddled under all sorts of bs and you just don’t know which is which, and I just love that as a viewer it’s so dynamic to watch. I funny it hypocrite of these "fans" who are defending and stanning for Lestat, who came back, who is ALSO an abuser on the show, and is toxic, and a beater, and a cheater (the tv version is way worse than the real Lestat in the book). Yet, they HATE Armand for doing the same thing, but he isn't as vicious, just a victim too (if you read his backstory you know), and he is basically a water down version of Lestat. But unlike Lestat, he doesn't cheat, he doesn't lay a finger on Louis, he is patient, and cleaned up Louis's mess. Especially, I find it concerning how people were thristing for him in season one, and we saw what he did. Yet, they tell people, who read the books, know the characters, saying its toxic for loving Armand?!?! Okay...
Racism. You know it, I know it and that's why I try to avoid the mainstream fandom of this show. Thank god for Adrian and all the Black people recapping and reviewing the show!

Armand is involved in claudias death he wants her gone
Armand is the best
hear me out: Armand is just a less attractive version of Lestat
@@moustik31It has to be at this point. Those mfs also don't like Claudia. It's bizarre. The girl has never had anything good come her way yet people are complaining and saying that she separated Louis form lestat. Lestat? The fucking ABUSER? They should be thankful because She saved Louis life😅
@@exceptionallydistinctivedi481 Right? They are delusional. Claudia opened Louis' eyes to how f*cked up Lestat was behaving. If Lestat hadnt been shady, there would have been nothing to opened his eyes to. And then what Lestat did? Proved Claudia right time and time again. The scene where he prevents her from leaving New Orleans was chilling. And I agree with you, Claudia's life is so tragic. She cant ever win.
I like the show, but I don't like Armand and Claudia.
😅 yess
Those are literally the two best characters
Why?
