Armand saying "are you asking me or making me" is a little game they play because Armand can't seem to make difficult decisions himself and giving Louis the power absolves him of that. But Louis in that instance could tell Armand didn't want to do it so he said "it's ok".
A couple things. It’s funny that when Louis was imagining Lestat, Lestat told him, he wouldn’t come back until he was happy and here he is. Lestat should be on trial because he made Claudia and turning a child is against the pretend rules. Oh and Madeline is totally just catching strays because she’s done nothing.
This show keeps reminding things from the books that I had forgotten. Like how Armand had never made a vampire before. The first fledgling he eventually made was Daniel. If an older powerful vampire doesn't make other vampires, the fledgling they eventually sire will be more powerful. It's like the gift is less diluted. Notice how they are holding this "trial" in daytime? That is ominous. I'm not so sure Lestat even really wants to be there. In the book, he really only wanted to talk to Louis, and yelled for them to release Louis when they imprisoned him. He even felt some kind of regret at Claudias death. He held on to her yellow dress (a detail they also kept in the show). This whole thing is less about justice for him and more about the covens petty slites and jealousy. If it were really about punishment for violating vampire laws, Lestat himself would be on trial for making Claudia (a child) into a vampire. They intentionally found Lestat and asked him to return for this mock trial.
I have watched the scene a few times, and the scene where Claudia saves Madeline from her attackers and reveals her vampire nature to her is very similar to the scene in season one, episode one where Lestat goes into the church, kills the priest, and reveals his vampire nature to Louis. The way they were shot are similar. The way you don't really see whats happening and the sudden violence, and the way Madeline/Louis walks out to find Claudia/Lestat hunched over their victims feeding. Very similar.
Yes, I have been pointing this out throughout other fan base channels, as well… the writers troupe have been wash, rinse and repeat scenes from season 1 and then those scenes resemble what is happening in season 2 . I can't wait to see where the show is taking Lestat's reaction towards Claudia (No SHOW spoilers i promise) ⚠️BOOK SPOILER⚠️ Because in the book Lestat did love Claudia. He showed his love differently than Louis did, but even after she tried murdering him, he still loved her. Yeah, he was hella.... mad at her, but he carried her death/ghost/memories throughout years. In several books she was though of and mentioned by Lestat. Being a book fan is hard, but i try my best to look at the show with out pre judgment . Appreciating it for what it is not for what it should or could be. The truth is the only similarities that show Claudia and book Claudia have is the Love they have for Louis. That is it. Book Claudia was a 6yr old, who through out the years became spoiled, entitled, envious, vengeful, cumming and manipulative. She was vicious. My interpretation Claudia wanted Madaline as a companion so she could live vicariously through her. Because by this point Claudia was older then Madeline in age and Claudia was pass the age of needing a mother. Show Claudia is in her teens, shown that she is capable of LOVING a human Madeline not just envying her or using her. 🍒
My opinion about Louis and Armand relationship is both are manipulative and "weak" for the one they love. Is difficult to put this two thing together but Louis enjoys living with Armand because he loves the power and the control he believe he has over the situation ( Calling Armand by his slave name and ordering around) . While Armand pretend to not know things he knows and them play the victim" card ( I erased your mind because you asked me , why are you amgry at me ? ). In the order hand , Louis loves Lestat so much he cant make wise decisions about it ( not killing Lestat when he had the chance after made clear they had the intenction ) or Armand staying Years by Louis side even after all the fights , humiliation and anger is almost self destructive.
My Observation on Armand's and Louie's relationship: Louie for some reason always needs to be constantly loved and attended to when he hits his lows (Claudia in season 1 even says that love makes Louie weak) and when that happens he needs to be shown care and comfort. He starts acting up and becomes vicious when he hears or sees things he doesn't like which is something he has in common with Lestat. Armand is independent, a lone warrior and a manipulative man. Armand can sometimes be "boring" (According to Louie on 2x05) but then again, he's rather quiet and doesn't indulge in many things (Armand tells Louie to enjoy his fun with Daniel on 1x05) other than paintings (Armand shares what seems to be a small part of his past 2x04). Armand still prefers to hunt his prey for blood unlike Louie. Conclusion: We all know Armand is manipulative but Louie keeps telling Armand to do things and then Louie forgets, then Armand takes advantage of that and then Louie lashes out on Armand cause Louie literally forgot which I find funny. Louie doesn't seem to appreciate Armand when all Armand wants is to be 'free' from the coven and now Armand is trapped with Louie. Louie wants to be eternally 'loved' but he also wants to have 'fun' from time to time (Which reminds me of Lestat on 1x03 when Louie askes Lestat "aren't I enough?" when Lestat says that he likes different kinds of varieties) as 'when you're with someone for decades and you both don't age, you go for the next thing to entertain yourself with' aka Daniel. Obviously their approaches to things they want is bizarre and instead of communicating with each other properly, they just try to hide their flaws and do things their way.

about Madeleine getting her hair cut in the flashback, idk if it is known outside of france, but after the war ended, women known to have slept with germans (even though it sometimes wasn’t consensual) were ‘put on trial’ and got their hair cut, they are known as the “tondues”. It was a physical marker, a way to shame them (despite around 10% of the population who collaborated in different ways but all weren’t punished). I am not excusing them (because some really did it in a way that was antisemitic or to agree with n*zis) but i wanted to add a little context. I think it is in france just a fact that we collectively know about, like when i first cut my hair short, the first thing one of my uncle told me was : “ Bah dis donc, t’as couché avec un allemand ?” (“Oh my ! Did you sleep with a german ?)
I find this interesting because something similar happened in Germany. In that case, it was usually German women who got their hair shaved in public if they had relationships with anyone who wasn't German, as far as I remember.
My heart went through my chest when the crew got captured at the end of this episode 😩. I’m not ready for next weeks episode omg, ish is about to get real. I already know what’s coming but I’m not ready 😢.

@@amandataylor8067 like he said in this episode he was a coward, though I do think Armand really did regret what happened and for that the feeling of guilt will forever haunt him.
They really could almost argue self defense for Lestat & Antoinette since Lestat nearly killed Louis that one time and threatened to kill Claudia. And Lestat turned Louis, Claudia, and Antoinette without anyone's permission. So I'm not sure how this is going to play out without it coming back on him at least a little bit. I just want all of them to be happy 😭
Omg I can't believe how this is going to play out! I'm so sad and so excited. I can't wait for the last couple of episodes but also it's going to be so devastating! This show is outstanding. 🖤
I fucking looooove Armands manipulating ass. The worse he has become the more I am stanning him. Such a complicated character. I was completely uninterested in him during the first few eps, but now he is a fave, along with like all the rest of the cast cos they are so god damn good!
@@specificsoup I probably should have used personal life. I think they're referring to the dominant way Louis treats Armand in their personal life, which also applies to their sex life.
This episode was definitely a bittersweet as not only we have Claudia found Madeleine as Louis was happy to have helped her achieve it, but they’re possibly about to meet a tragic fate at the hands of none other than Lestat in the flesh. I definitely agree that it’s hard for Louis and Daniel to trust Armand which leaves the question of what he says is either deceptive or genuine. 🧛🏻♂️🧛🏿🧛🏾🧛🏾♀️🧛🏻♀️🩸🖤❤️
You guys are obviously deeply involved in the arts and I hope the show is conveying for you that Lestat, at his core, is moved by nothing more (save perhaps true love) than music, theatre, and the arts. I know you guys are bummed about leaving the world of "Interview with the Vampire" and moving into "The Vampire Lestat" material in season three -- but just know, never was there a sexier theater man than young human impoverished aristocrat Lestat or the unearthly sexy vampire he became! His story will capture your souls in so many ways! It's such a long time to wait until the release of season 3, did I hear correctly that you guys like audio books? Because the Vampire Lestat makes an EXCELLENT Audible audiobook. The reader has a genuine sounding French accent and a nice voice. Highly recommend! Thank you again for your reactions -- they have been purest pleasure. 😇
Poor Claudia and Madeline do not deserve this. Claudia finally found a companion, and this happened. Louis is once again betrayed by the person he loves. Armand is basically Judas here, which is funny because they have a painting of Judas in their bed today. Great reactions, as always.
I’m so scared about the direction show runners will choose to take. I don’t want them to make a certain someone a scapegoat, my baby deserves better! 😢
Like I said before why would they give us nude scenes with Louis & Lestat in the first season of the show. Then in the second season, there were no nude scenes with Louis & Armand or with Louis and the younger Daniel. I feel they gave us nude scenes in the first season in the hope that we would wait for the next episode just hoping they would give us a nude scene. Yes, the show is great and all I want to see is some naked guys. The gay community don't have many shows where the leading men are gay and sexy.
i was by armand side since the moment i saw lestat being abusive to louis and could only think that there's no worse than what lestat had done definitely it had. this episode made me hate him so much he's such a cowardddd like what do you mean you say you love someone to betray them like that AND FOR WHAT not only he did something bad to louis, he did to claudia and madeline too just because he wanted to be seen by his coven????
Lestat doesn’t want this fam. Believe it or not he loves Claudia too. Eventually it’ll come out but I’m afraid it won’t be until next season. But I truly hope they don’t do that to us.
Armand is messing with everyone's minds, but I love him as a complex vampire character. I want to know why the Talamasca guy told Daniel to fear the other one, meaning Louis, and Raglan James is the Body Thief in books, so is there some body swapping going on in present time? I mean we feel for Louis because he is subject in the first book, but Louis has is flaws. I mean in the books, he was a plantation owner with slaves, and in the show he's a pimp. I feel bad for what will happen to Claudia/ Madeline. Claudia does deserve to have her own companion, and Lestat was monstrous to them as well, but I am also glad to see him back next week and hope next season is The Vampire Lestat. I mean there can be body swapping and mind manipulation going on all around in this story since its present time.
Listen....not to spoil anything but you both need to understand LESTAT DOES NOT WANT THIS. He does NOT want the trial. He is being forced into it, manipulated into it. I highly recommend reading the first 3 books of the series cause they add to your enjoyment but if you don't, I understand. I'm hoping they'll show Lestat's unwillingness about this obviously in the show right away, but if they don't, I beg of you to please know he doesn't want this to happen. He loves Claudia in his own twisted way and doesn't blame her for killing him. He also loves Louis too much for this.
What do they mean by 'companion'? In the books, it's a mother/daughter relationship. In the this series, it looks romantic. Isn't Claudia physically under 13?
She was made at fourteen. She has existed for over forty years at this point. She may have been made at fourteen, but she is not a child anymore. In fact, she's probably older than Madeline at this point.
@@Caleb17-ym6pq Honestly, the overlysexual representation of Rice's vampires is not it. Originally, as far as i remember, the connection between vampires is enough to satisfy them beyond physical needs. The hunt the preform together is the most intimate thing. This way, no matter what you appear physically, you are with this person, not sexually, but in every other way. I have the strange feeling that story forgets that Claudia was made when she was an actual child. And they pursue the idea that if she is 40, then it doesnt matter how old is her physical form. And her behaviour and reasonings are far more mature. Here it subsequently leads to her seeking something more. They chewed it up so that new fans and ppl can forget how old is her body, and they were basically baiting us. (like come on, we know that sometimes our community gets used as a bait and here it works perfectly) Honestly, i love that for her. But i think they are just trying to sell it to major audiences. I mean, most ppl wont get on board with casting a 5-6 y.o. kid in this series. They opted up for and older girl to escape criticism and then made her find love in Madeline. Originaly tho, Claudia is so f-ed up already and she did want a companion aka Madeline but not for her being her mother figure or sister figure. I mean, Madeline was everything she was not and she wanted all of that. So Madeline became her extention. Also pls correct me if im wrong when bringing facts from the books. Ive read them years ago and rn my reread is slow. I'd love to hear more opinions, because this is a topic that has been and ick for some time now.
I have a feeling Madeleine is Jewish. During WW2 Jews had their hair cut while in the camps, the flashback showed madeleine being pushed Into streets and having her hair cut, not only that but even before madeleine was not a vampire she was being harrashed with the Ñ@z! Symbol
No, that’s not it. Post WWII they shaved the women who had been sleeping with the enemy or helping them in any way but mostly the ones who were romantically involved for the protection or otherwise. They called them the « tondues ». They would just shoot the men (« les collabos »). If madeleine was Jewish, she would have been deported ; the only ones who got saved were the ones who crossed the border to the « zone libre » (free zone) and hid themselves or changed their names. No Jew in Paris survived after La rafle du vélodrome d’hiver (Google it, it’s horrible)
She was being shamed ( ie, getting her head shaved and paraded through the streets) for being a collaborator. Her neighbors saw her shop thrive and her not starving as they were because she was catering to the enemy.
No. She's what they called a "horizontal collaborator", which means she prospered more than others by having sex with a German soldier. To be honest , the people have a right to resent and dislike her. I think the mob assaulting her and cutting her hair off was wrong, but the swastika painted on her shop may have been appropriate. You have to remember what the people of France went through under Nazi occupation. Well, she even told Armand she saw her neighbor starve to death and another neighbor get taken and executed by the gestapo. She avoided that by sleeping with the same people who were killing her neighbors. Would you look at her kindly after that?
Well, book Lestat had been forced into participating in the trial. He just wanted Louis to come back to NOLA with him. We'll see what the show has planned. It could be different. This trial will be both thrilling and incredibly heartbreaking.
This episode was INCREDIBLY hard for me to watch personally. I love Armand and he KEEPS being manipulated by Louie. I honestly have never liked Louie because he's very manipulative and you can see it more when he's with Armand because Armand is so tragically submissive.
I just hate Armand so much. I can't empathize with him even when Louis treats him abominably. On the other hand, Lestat is back! A character that I probably shouldn't emphasize with and yet I do. Every. Single. Time. 🙃
Armand is such a lier. Even Asad said that once Armand figure out that Louis got his memory back about San Francisco, Armand was already plotting on how to fix the situation. So him saying Louis ask him 3 days after the situation with Daniel for him to erase his memory. It’s strictly bullshit

I AM PISSED OFF AT ARMAND HE COULD HAVE STOPPED THE COVEN HE WAS THE FREAKING LEADER WHAT HE DID TO LOUIE IS WORSE THAN WHAT LESTAT DID TO LOUIE. I honestly don't know if I want to watch episode 7 I think I'm done I just want to leave it at that because we already know what's going to happen to Claudia and Madeline and I don't think I could watch that. 😔
@@amandataylor8067 like he said in this episode he was a coward, though I do think Armand really did regret what happened and for that the feeling of guilt will forever haunt him.
I love them all sooooooo much ugh there everything
i appreciate you keeping the subs
They could argue that they only disabled lestat... They didn't burn him.
I just want all of them to be happy 😭
the episode title was giving Lana inspired 😂
Awesome reaction of my favorite Interview With The Vampire episode!!!!!!😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Omg I can't believe how this is going to play out! I'm so sad and so excited. I can't wait for the last couple of episodes but also it's going to be so devastating! This show is outstanding. 🖤
Love love love your reactions! Please keep making them!
Claudia is a tragedy that you feel sorry for, I hope we get more of a story with Claudia and Madeline.
I fucking looooove Armands manipulating ass. The worse he has become the more I am stanning him. Such a complicated character. I was completely uninterested in him during the first few eps, but now he is a fave, along with like all the rest of the cast cos they are so god damn good!
People forget that Louie is a Pimp...See how he handles Armand...
What….?
@@SpaceEmoshe's referring to the dominant way he treats him in their sex life.
@@cullenarthur8879he never had sex with the women employed in his brothels, so this doesn’t make sense
@@specificsoup I probably should have used personal life. I think they're referring to the dominant way Louis treats Armand in their personal life, which also applies to their sex life.
Please react to Dead Boy Detectives!! It’s so good and yall would love it
Yess, I love Dead Boy Detective. So good, i too would love it if they reacted to it.
Can’t wait
Who in their right mind is hating on Claudi- 🤣😂
Our comment section has been WILD this season lol 😩
@PettyPumpkins is it that they don't like the new actress?? 😳She's killin it
You guys are obviously deeply involved in the arts and I hope the show is conveying for you that Lestat, at his core, is moved by nothing more (save perhaps true love) than music, theatre, and the arts.
😇
Daniel is a main character to me 😭😭😭😭😭 I really want them to do more of his story in the book!
I absolutely LOVE CLAUDIA character, shes fierce, honest and a go getter.
I love Claudia and Madeline, Louie was big a jerk but F Armand I was giving him a chance but those last moments I was very pissed. Love the channel ❤
hola ustedes son mis reactores favoritos me divierte mucho ver sus caras son tan tiernos
You guys literally always have the correct opinions, don't listen to people who have decidedly WRONG opinions haha
I don't think they COULD fully without screwing with the whole rest of the series. Though the biased perspective may...come in.
guys i love yall :)
Spoilers from the book, guys! Lestat doesn't want to be there. He is forced by Armand.
Why put this?
Like I said before why would they give us nude scenes with Louis & Lestat in the first season of the show. Then in the second season, there were no nude scenes with Louis & Armand or with Louis and the younger Daniel. I feel they gave us nude scenes in the first season in the hope that we would wait for the next episode just hoping they would give us a nude scene. Yes, the show is great and all I want to see is some naked guys. The gay community don't have many shows where the leading men are gay and sexy.
I wonder if Assad the actor wasn’t as comfortable with that? I’m not sure otherwise
topping is a form of self harm for louis poor thing 😢
"All vampire stories matter". Lol.
i was by armand side since the moment i saw lestat being abusive to louis and could only think that there's no worse than what lestat had done
definitely it had. this episode made me hate him so much he's such a cowardddd like what do you mean you say you love someone to betray them like that AND FOR WHAT not only he did something bad to louis, he did to claudia and madeline too just because he wanted to be seen by his coven????
Lestat doesn’t want this fam. Believe it or not he loves Claudia too. Eventually it’ll come out but I’m afraid it won’t be until next season. But I truly hope they don’t do that to us.
Lestat did say to Louis, "I'm merely waiting until you are happy"...
Yeah an I the only one that was weirded out by the idea of them being a couple? Claudia has a kids body
We will suffer together.....
12:47 that’s what I’m saying 🥵🥵🥵
The only one I feel sorry for is Madeline.
This, but I guess they'll touch on that hopefully in episode 7 or 8.
Yes! We need to hear Lestat's side, dammit!
That is a spoiler though, they’ll find out from the show
What do they mean by 'companion'? In the books, it's a mother/daughter relationship. In the this series, it looks romantic. Isn't Claudia physically under 13?
She was made at fourteen. She has existed for over forty years at this point. She may have been made at fourteen, but she is not a child anymore. In fact, she's probably older than Madeline at this point.
@@cullenarthur8879 Irrelevant. Doesn't matter how old her mind is, she still has the physical body of a child.
She was being harrased because she slept & has a relationship with a Nazi soldier. They painted that symbol bc she was a Nazi sympathizer.
Whaaaaat I have never hear anyone say this. It's the other way around. Have you ever read any of the vampire chronicles books??
No girl it’s literally the other way around 😂
Are we watching the same show? 😢
Gurll whattt????
Don’t let him fool you sis lol
I just hate Armand so much. I can't empathize with him even when Louis treats him abominably. On the other hand, Lestat is back! A character that I probably shouldn't emphasize with and yet I do. Every. Single. Time. 🙃
Armand is such a lier. Even Asad said that once Armand figure out that Louis got his memory back about San Francisco, Armand was already plotting on how to fix the situation. So him saying Louis ask him 3 days after the situation with Daniel for him to erase his memory.
It’s strictly bullshit
