Keep an eye on that dress! If the series takes the scene from the books it will be a heart breaking moment. That dress and Lestat. I think it will happen. Lestat was about to cry during the last scene where we saw Lestat. Yes he wanted vengeance for his attempted murder, but he loved her as much as he despised her

It's even worse when you understand that even after this point, Louis is still in denial about their relationship that he even coerced a witch/vampire to contact her, only to be told to literally F off💀💀 Claudia can't even enjoy death without Louis pestering her😂
And baby to the actor that plays Lestat, you can’t tell me he don’t love that man in real life!!!! The emotion I felt it when he was describing when he hurt Louis and how much he still loved him, even though they are some of the most domestic violence 😂 This was the absolute best episode.
I know! And all these people, after watching that episode are commenting “poor Armand, (some are typing Armon, 😂) he had to sit and watch 😂 Armand is the master mind behind Claudia’s demise! Armand and Claudia are alike. Both take out the affection competition
Armand is super evil he has manipulated Not only Louis, Daniel everyone just to have Louis under his control! He is 100 x worse than Lestat I rather have Lestat 10 times than Armand. The problem with Lestat was he was A Bad Teacher! He acted like an a-hole to volatile he let his fears of losing Louis and being alone it took the best of him.
@@heart756 Both Lestat and Armand are bad. I dont think any of these men should be involved romantically with each other but that's what makes the show so entertaining.
They actually explained that in the show. The mortals think it’s fake, so it’s okay. They aren’t telling them they are vampires. They are PRETENDING to PLAY vampires on stage. When the mortals leave, they won’t actually know they witnessed true vampires because they convened themselves that it’s all fake. They even say it at the beginning of this episode when the trial began.
@@Anya-oq5yp I think Rice's whole point was to say something about the meaninglessness of bureaucracy. I appreciate that, in the show, Claudia says the quiet part out loud. Why can't she just apologize and walk free, like Lestat? Exactly :/
@@Setsunako6587exactly! Even Lestat openly admitted that he broke the law of turning Claudia and that he should be punished alongside them but they quickly went past that and the trial ended without Lestat being held accountable.
Thomas Jefferson at pride???!!!! 😂🤣😂 Edit: Armand couldnt prevent, what he instigated from the beginning. He wanted Claudia out of the picture, the. end.
I can’t wait till Daniel digs in that ass next week and reads him for filth like he did Louis at the end of season one. Louis better leave his ass by the end of the season!
@@moustik31she was already out of Louis life. She had gone her own way with Madeline. They were meeting one last time before they separated forever. Why stage this whole thing, only to end up with a broken haunted Louis?
Claudia is such a tragic figure. My God, this episode hurt my spirit. I think the way Claudia comes back will be through Louis’ revenge. Also, Lestat shifting Louis’ wig a bit with the WHOLE truth was very telling. Armand has been messing with Louis’ memories for longer than we realized. I think it started back in Paris. That’s how Armand has been able to keep him in check for 74 years.
@@exceptionallydistinctivedi481just ignore them, they are a crazy Lestat fan or something, they seem delusional at the level that it makes you think they believe the characters are real people.
Armand must've been sooooo scared with that rough and tough Sam guarding him. Poor Armand just couldn't do anything (except to save his man). 🤣🤣 I'm so glad Claudia didn't go out begging and crying. Meanwhile, Lestat and the Dynamic Duo got their sob stories ready at all times. I hate that the narrative paints Claudia to be a loose cannon like the other vampire aren't even more fucked up
I like how Armand acted like he was ‘forced’ to sit and watch yet was able to control the whole audience into sentencing Louis to Banishment .. but conveniently could do nothing when it came to saving Claudia and Madeline! Claudia and Madeline would have skipped off happily together they wouldn’t have been a threat to Armand in any way so I dunno why he had let her die . Sam Reid was AMAZING! Made me realise how much I missed him this season, always want more, more, more!! I wish they would make a film or series out of the Memnoch the Devil book and cast Sam Reid as Lestat
Claudia didnt deserve to die BUT she definitely overplayed her hand and was arrogant (overestimated her ability to outsmart these draconian, older vamps who stick to the old laws). For all the research she did about vamps, she ignored Lestats warning about other vampires and insisted on staying in Paris even after knowing the coven hated her. Louis being so passive, out of guilt, and just going along with her plans from the beginning, when he knew better, also led to her downfall. In the books Louis regrets letting her believe she was this mastermind who could easily murder Lestat and ride into the sunset (Paris and Lestats old theater lol, come on now.) All the characters have a fatal flaw that brings them suffering and for Claudia it was arrogance(she really didnt want to listen to anyones warnings or advice).
I mean she is a murderer. She murdered Antoinette and almost killed Lestat and now we know it really was for nothing but Claudia’s own selfishness. She wanted Louis to herself, just like Armand. Common thread between Armand and Claudia? They were made when they were too young, therefore they are more volatile and their emotions? Arrested development for sure.
@@mmandyyyy She thought she could hide the fact that she murdered their theater founder. She should have listened to Louis from the jump and left the city once they saw that portrait on the wall (they already don't think she should exist but once they found out she tried to pull the wool over their eyes, these vamps threw out any sympathy they had for her.)
They were so obsessed of knowing about other vampires I get it The problem here Lestat was not a good Teacher, Lestats fears of loneliness took the best of him! Ignoring his fledglings needs and curiosities. Let’s not forget Claudia was just a 5 yrs old child. Even tho she acted like a woman her mind she still had child impulsive tendencies.
Armand is such a POS cause why didn’t he freeze everyone like has many times before and get Louis and them out of there. He wanted Claudia to die so he could have Louis all to himself. I hate him so much!!
@@WattsupwithhybristophiliaClaudia was protecting herself & Louis from an abuser. Lestat dropped Louis down from the sky & treated them both like his property. She is nothing like Armand
@@WattsupwithhybristophiliaClaudia was always looking for communities with other vampires. She wanted the old woman in the forest to join them before she threw herself in the fire & she wanted to join the theater with the Paris Coven. She never wanted to keep Louis to herself like Armand did. If anything she wanted them both to be happy & surrounded by love.
@@tjc8422 Did we watch the same episode? Louis and Lestat were equally as abusive. They also love each other deeply. Both are complex. Ut may be easier for me to see the big picture because I have read the series. Chris Rice is going to keep the storyline close to his heart, his mother always said Lestat was her alter ego. Armand is by far the biggest monster, yet also likable. Both Armand and Lestat were victims in their own right. It’s not a competition between Armand and Lestat, both are amazing characters. Lestat, and Louis, along with many other vampires, live together at the end of the series. Lestat’s transformation in the series is beautiful to behold
The trial happened in the books, but Lestat had way less dialogue. I suspect we'll be getting even more clarification about it in Season 3 based on what we've been hearing. Also in the books there's a very gruesome secret regarding Armand & Claudia. Something Armand can't even tell Louis directly. Idk if they'll try to do that in the last episode or (most likely) also save it until S3.
There never was an actual trial nor did it play out on stage. They just abducted them by Armand’s command. Lestat had so much remorse. That little yellow dress and Lestat 😢 oh the things Armand did to poor Claudia head…
That’s only because Anne Rice decided after the fact, that Lestat was her main boy and so his word is law. But we’re not in them books no more we’re getting more deeper and making Louis more fleshed out and so Lestat isn’t the benevolent voice no more. In fact he can’t be especially if you’re playing with the theme of memory as a monster and perspective the way the show is doing. And you can’t rightfully engage in such themes if you’re then presenting one voice as wholly truthful because then it’s not about perspective but about truth or false. Like Lestat is just as unreliable, he’s not a robot he’s gonna come with his own biases and contradictions as the rest of them. Also we see Lestat lie is ass of plenty in the show, that man is not honest. And please don’t come with no semantics nonsense because lie of omission is still lying
@@gabriella9897 Lestat is definitely not a benevolent being however Armand isn’t either in my perspective he’s passive aggressive Leader manipulative The whole book interview with Vampire 1st book is all Louis Perspective All Louis conversations within himself of course with Daniel we can see that in the show as well is his view Louis Version we don’t see Lestat perspective nor his version of the story In book 2 The Vampire Lestat is when we finally see and know Lestat story us readers we can see his depth and understanding of why Lestat is who he is. The show is good tho 😊different but good.
The way I'm in love with careful details of this show... The silent war going on between Santiago and Lestat to steal the attention from one another on stage😂 And Armand is still lying! He said he couldn’t save Claudia but was only able to use his mind control ability make the humans declare "Banishment" for Louis instead? And it took all that was left in him? He looked fine after doing that. Unlike in New Orleans when Lestat took control of all those soldiers, his ears were literally bleeding, his colouring had changed and he was disoriented for a minute. Armand could have done more. I believe he's a lot better at the mind gift than Lestat. And Sam keeping guard?? Really????😂
In the Talamasca spin off show they could do an episode of mysterious deaths in Paris they go investigate and find out it’s the ghost of Claudia hunting and killing off the audience members 😂
8:35 So true! That whole trial was a micro aggression. Santiago mocking Claudia’s accent. Santiago painting Louis as this aggressive predator/ seducer who pursued poor little innocent Lestat. It’s not unlike some of the fans that always want to bring up the fact that Lou was a pimp whenever people wanted to discuss how he was abused by Lestat or paint Claudia as this master manipulator. I truly wanted Claudia to live somehow and I’m sad. I can’t wait for Louis’ revenge.
Well on the train Lestat did warn Claudia that she tries to pull any more running away stuff , he would turn her bones to dust. With the help of the coven and Louis new boo , he did turn her bones to dust.
I don’t understand how someone could be describe a father abusing his daughter in such a “lol told u so” way. This whole mess started cos Lestat and Louis made her when it was unethical, and then Lestat withheld info and mistreated them and cheated on Louis.
If someone has been abusing you for literally most of your life and one day you try to leave and they say other people will hurt you more wouldn't you stop and think "well it cant be as bad as this"
@@FortunaFavoredyes! And what does Claudia and Armand have in common? They were made too young and both are emotionally stunted. Both try to take out emotional competition

Am I just confused or didn't Lestat tell Louis that they're going to be together for ten thousand nights and from time to time he likes a little variety? I have to rewatch it to be sure but I could swear that was before Claudia was even made and then left for seven years. By Lestat's account he sought affection elsewhere bc of Louis' vitriolic behaviour during Claudia's absence. And yes, Louis sometimes did behave like a little shit during that time. But from my recollection Lestat had been cheating looong before then. And him painting Louis as the one who pursued and hunted him was just laughable to me.
At the time Lestat was also goading Louis to piss him off enough to eat. Anne Rice’s vampires don’t do well eating animals. Louis via his recollection to Daniel said he understood the indulgence at the time. Lies were being told on the stage. Lestat didn’t want to be there.
Naw. Louis was ALWAYS aware of Antoinette. The 1st time Lestat made out with Antoinette, Louis was in the room. He even said : "I allowed it." Now, YES --- Lestat promised to 🛑 seeing her after Louis took him back after episode 5. BUT☝🏾, 2 be fair --- Louis was still tag-teaming Lestat emotionally with Claudia, so Lestat went back to seeing Antoinette behind Louis' back cuz she didn't emotionally withhold from him. Louis uses his love as a bargaining chip NO MATTER WHO his partner is --- even Claudia!! That's why Santiago (though he had evil intentions spoke truth in that moment) asked the audience in Lestat's defense: "If you were being emotionally neglected by your partner --- would it be wrong for you to seek comfort in someone else's arms?" And the entire audience agrees & replies: "NO!!"
@@dominiquedevereux7205 Perhaps you misunderstood me... My point wasn't whether or not Louis was aware of Antoinette. My point was: Lestat USING Louis' behaviour during Claudia's absence as his reason for cheating; when he was cheating long before Claudia entered their lives. AND at the time, using the fact that he "needed a little variety from time to time" as a reason for his infidelity.
@@shan0997 No. I understood you the 1st time (not being snarky). I'm saying it wasn't considered cheating before B4 Claudia came into the picture --- only AFTER her return. Cuz remember in episode 2 (or 3 --- I can't remember) when Lestat told Louis about his need for "variety" from time time & Louis asked Lestat 🙎🏽♂️: "So I can f🖕🏽ck whoever I want 🤨??" & Lestat was like: "Of course; OF COURSE 🧑🏻🦰😁!!(though THIS 👉🏾 was really Lestat's face 👉🏾😒within his imaginary thought bubble 💭)." So, from that point forward the relationship was opened. Louis fooled around with Jonah 👨🏿✈️ ONCE ☝🏾, and Lestat was very jealous, YES; BUT they never had a discussion saying the "openness" of their relationship was "closed" afterwards. Louis just CHOSE not to take advantage of their arrangement anymore. It wasn't til after Louis took Lestat's a$$ back after Lestat dropped him the 7th Heaven 🌌 that CLAUDIA demanded Lestat kyll 🗡️ Antoinette as 1 of the conditions of she & Louis taking him back. After THAT point, it was considered cheating. Looking back now, I think 1 of the reasons there was so much contention between the 2 of them over Louis refusing to "hunt human" most of their relationship was not only cuz it made Lestat feel Louis was ashamed of his vampiric nature, and by extension, Lestat himself, BUT ALSO because only ingesting inferior animal 🐀🐈⬛🕊️ 🩸 weakened Louis ' libido ❌😛🍆 & further crippled their sexxx life as it was already severely injured by Louis constant bouts of depression. Remember how Louis said in the episode where Lestat 1st met Antoinette & they were about to have sex in front of Louis, that Louis said (to the Daniel/the audience) that, once again, he ALLOWED it to happen cuz his "desire" has been low because the animal blood wasn't, in so many words, "high octane ⛽" enough to keep his hormones where they should be? Granted, on a level, I agree that if Lestat said he wasn't gonna cheat after Louis took him back that he should have honored that. Simultaneously, if Louis knew he was gonna half-heartedly have sex with Lestat --- ON TOP OF THE STRESS OF CLAUDIA CONSTANTLY "COMING FOR HIM," & Louis doing the "bare minimum" of putting his 🦶🏾 down on the matter, he knew it was gonna drive Lestat to do SOMETHING reckless. Yes, I know he asked Claudia to try to get along with Lestat after he returned, but I honestly think he was soft -shoeing it with her. I think on a level, in TRUE LOUIS FASHION, he wanted to look like the victim will being a sideline perpetrator at the same time ---- just like Armand in Season 2. Louis still let Claudia get certain "digs" in at Lestat cuz truthfully, they were angry words HE still wanted to express to Lestat, but since he already claimed he was gonna "let the past be the past" when he took Lestat back, he could no longer express the anger he hadn't fully released. But Ms. Claudia NEVER agreed to let the past be the past & only agreed to "endure (at the barest minimum)" Lestat's presence in their lives, so she was free to take "shots"🙅🏼♂️💥 🔫 at Lestat without being held to the standard of "forgiveness" Louis was bound to. SO she was in effect, his unofficial, indirect mouthpiece 🗣️📣.

Armand Paraded Lestat’s ass up there to punish him because he knew it would break his connection to Louis if Claudia was executed because of this trial. He used Santiago’s play as a scapegoat so he could pull this stunt. Lestat’s ass was wobbling right before they lit Claudia up which seems like Armand was controlling him a bit. You could tell Lestat regretted participating in this stunt as Claudia looked back at him for help while she burned, her face broke me. I’m very excited to see Louis Wick next episode.😂

Also: there are really powerful ghost in the books and Claudia actually becomes a ghost in the books. Fingers crossed they do something with that in the show.
This episode hurt my feelings so bad.😢 Claudia took it like a G tho. Amd Armand AIN'T SH*T!! He could have used his powers to make the audience say banish all 3 of them. But instead he chose to save Louis only. He wanted Claudia gone. Just selfish 😒
Armand was behind the entire thing. He wanted Claudia out and Louis to himself. He wants. Louis to think the coven did this and now he will allow Louis to destroy the coven in vengeance
Armand saved no one. He master minded the entire thing. He was done with the coven. So he had the coven take out Claudia. Now he will allow Louis to take out the coven.
At this point, I’m just confused on why they had to do the trial anyway Claudia didn’t make herself and she didn’t kill Lestat he is alive so she didn’t really commit any crime and neither did Louis. He didn’t make Claudia and he did not kill Lestat so the only person who really committed the crime is Lestat who made Claudia with the knowledge of the coven rules. He’s literally the only person who’s actually guilty. I guess the only thing Claudia did was write the history of the vampires but again when she started, she did not know the great laws and they tried to play easy on Madeline for not knowing the great laws so it’s like OK. y’all just wanted to kill the two of them got it.
Anyways, Claudia and Madeleines went out like Gs. Too good for this world. Deserved better from everyone around. Claudia had something Louis, Lestat and Armand will never truly have: Love and acceptance. With a partner that truly loved her wholly. And not toxic.
“That’s what life do to real bitches. It’s always the real bitches that get burned up” 😂😂😂😂 nah fr! Claudia was real af to the end that’s why I only trust her account of things. They couldn’t rewrite her shit so they had to rip a few pages out 😂😂
The interesting thing about this series as a whole things they changed like Race and certain things that these vampires can and can't do the fact these actors performing masterfully. It's my understanding that. This did happen in the book in a way. What because of the memory is a monster aspect and certain things being revisited through other people's point of gives you. As a fan a new appreciation for the books
It did. Lestat was Anne Rices self proclaimed alter ego. In the books you can follow his journey to becoming a moral monster. He finds an orphaned 5 year old child, adopts her and raises her. Gets her Nannie’s, sends her to the best schools, Rose was her name. She eventually marries Lestat’s biological son! (You heard me right) 😂 truly an epic book
Thank you! The title said it all! Finally a non-bias fan, unlike other people online who ONLY validated Lestat statement, which I personally think some of it is false, like how he lied about Louis hunting him, the laws (he never told them about the law), saying three of them lived a "happy" life, and trying to blame Louis depression for him cheating, which is what a cheater and abuser would say, that's not a good excuse! I blame everyone, too! I hate when people ONLY blamed Armand when we should also blame Santiago, the theatre of the vampires, humans that were there, Lestat for going along, I don't care if he was starve or whatever, he was STILL a part of the trial. I do like how this Armand regretted not helping Claudia, but like he said, his mind was occupied of Louis. And he also have some what of a heart, whereas in the book, he was cold and ONLY cared about what he wanted. And don't say, "Well, the book said blah blah blah." Well, in the book, Lestat seemed more loveable, not a beater, seemed naive, funny, charming, just wanted a family, and loved Claudia. Unlike, in the show, where he is heartless, cruel, hated Claudia. During this scene in the book, Lestat is heartbroken, looks beaten up with scars, and demands Santiago to ONLY punish Claudia and let Louis go with him. Whereas the show showed him cold, still looking well kept, wanted BOTH to suffer. So the show is very different from Lestat and Armand in the book.
My poor baby Claudia, she didn’t deserve that bullshit. Lestat did not move me much, like do I believe he was saying some truths yes, but that’s all he gets from me chile. Armand and him going to hell for what they did to my dear girl. Claudia above all these mfs and Louis, deserved to live to her fullest away from all this bs. She fought so hard, and yet 😭
Armand knew what he was doing too well. He surely didn’t like Claudia at all. Poor Claudia really didn’t stand a chance. Louis made her for all the wrong selfish reasons. Also if Louie and Claudia were punished then Lestat should be punished too as he gave the gift to a child. I couldn’t imagine being a 14 year old for eternity. I wanted Claudia to survive .
The whole thing with Armand, he never liked or trusted Claudia. Because she was the age she was. He never accepted her. He had seen it before. As expected, he saw she would die. Lestat warned Louis. So her death is not unexpected. I know from the books that Armand was the logic with his longevity of being a vampire for so long he knew what would have happen eventually. It both lays in the fact that Louis and Lestat are wrong for making her in the first place.

Lestat is the flyest vampire periodt. I dont care if he is a narracist , that man is fine. That jawline is too die for. He kills every scene he is in.
In the books Louis regrets letting her believe she was this mastermind who could easily murder Lestat and ride into the sunset (Paris and Lestats old theater lol, come on now.)
All the characters have a fatal flaw that brings them suffering and for Claudia it was arrogance(she really didnt want to listen to anyones warnings or advice).
She is a 14 year old afterall 😭 Louis should have known better and guided her but he’s an idiot & has codependency issues with both Armand & Lestat.
When was she trying to outsmart them tho? She spend the whole of season 2 trying to BEFRIEND them. Hoping to find a community.
They were so obsessed of knowing about other vampires I get it
The problem here Lestat was not a good Teacher, Lestats fears of loneliness took the best of him! Ignoring his fledglings needs and curiosities. Let’s not forget Claudia was just a 5 yrs old child. Even tho she acted like a woman her mind she still had child impulsive tendencies.
Thomas Jefferson at Pride had me giggling 😀

Lmaoooo I lost it immediately at Freakum Suit 😂😂😂 I have to say I love your commentary of this show
Book reader here, just a note..Lestat doesn't lie, he's a lot of things but not a Liar
Yup and Claudia was just a 5 yrs old child not a teenage. However Armand has always been sneaky.

And Armand is still lying!
Really????😂

Louis toxic af!
Cuz remember in episode 2 (or 3 --- I can't remember) when Lestat told Louis about his need for "variety" from time time & Louis asked Lestat 🙎🏽♂️: "So I can f🖕🏽ck whoever I want 🤨??"
& Lestat was like: "Of course; OF COURSE 🧑🏻🦰😁!!(though THIS 👉🏾 was really Lestat's face 👉🏾😒within his imaginary thought bubble 💭)."
So, from that point forward the relationship was opened.

And don't say, "Well, the book said blah blah blah."
Well, in the book, Lestat seemed more loveable, not a beater, seemed naive, funny, charming, just wanted a family, and loved Claudia.
So the show chose to do unnecessary harm...?!

Not a freakum suit 😂😂😂
Because he is all about the old ways! And rituals!
😢🍵......no words
Armand knew what he was doing too well. He surely didn’t like Claudia at all. Poor Claudia really didn’t stand a chance. Louis made her for all the wrong selfish reasons. Also if Louie and Claudia were punished then Lestat should be punished too as he gave the gift to a child. I couldn’t imagine being a 14 year old for eternity. I wanted Claudia to survive .
Good summary
If Louis doesn't leave Armand after this. I am gonna pissed as hell. He literally was regearsing this play with them
In all fairness, all that we have saw thus far has been from Louis perspective. It’s like rue in euphoria… how credible is she
I know my heart broke I hope she find a way
As heart crushing her end was, don't forget she was a murderer. Saying she didn't deserve it? Every vampire in that room deserves it. 🤔🤔
Armand is not is at odds with corruption and he has lost his passion then receiving it after the vampire trial!
Tightest freak em suite😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
The whole thing with Armand, he never liked or trusted Claudia. Because she was the age she was. He never accepted her. He had seen it before. As expected, he saw she would die. Lestat warned Louis. So her death is not unexpected. I know from the books that Armand was the logic with his longevity of being a vampire for so long he knew what would have happen eventually. It both lays in the fact that Louis and Lestat are wrong for making her in the first place.
Think about how the “vampires “ influence history!
Let’s talk about the real “ roles “ of familiars!
This episode toh me up! 😭😭😭
