I'm so pissed with the ratings. Guys please do your best to promote. I really don't want it to get cancelled. I've been telling my friends and family to watch at this point 😂
@@exceptionallydistinctivedi481 Same I love this show, it's one of the best shows on TV, and it's sadly so underrated. I hope that changes and this show finally blows up. I also tell all my family/friends about it, I tell anyone who will listen peach it😅
I really do believe the reason Louis feels Armand is boring is because he gets his mind wiped every time they get into a fight big enough to break them up. If all the hills and valleys of their relationship are sanded away every day can only be bland.

Armand literally strolling in with the shades and not having an inkling of just how sombre the mood in the room was had me in hysterics😂😂😂 This show does such a good job at balancing serious tone with inappropriate funny moments and i love it❤ Also please...when Armand started levitating Daniel up and smacking him down on the ground repeatedly, why did that actually scare me more than anything so far? It was like a full on horror movie, a chill ran down my whole body...

Jacob is actually reciting Louis's original dialogue from the book when he's dragging Lestat, that's why the language sounds so flowery lol. They've done that a lot throughout the show.

You know, Louis and Daniel have great chemistry…both in the past and present. I was a little bummed to find out they didn’t hook up lol. Like of all the (frankly toxic) pairings in this show, I’m very invested in their dynamic.
Am I the only one who thinks that present day Daniel and Louis would actually be good for each other? I was also bummed to find out they didn't hook up but given the circumstances it was probably for the best
I honestly have quite a bit of sympathy for Armand. I rewatched the show and Armand told Louis like a billion times that the other vampires wanted him dead, were planning to take over, and he couldn't hold them back or protect him much longer, and he/they needed to skip town and Louis basically LOL'ed in face every time. And of course Louis using his history of being sold into sexual slavery as a child as a reason to mock him had me aghast in this episode... I was on Armand's side this entire fight after that. Not to mention after Armand initially revealed that part of his history to him, Louis started sometimes calling him by his slave name 'Arun' to which Armand usually calls him 'maitre'/master which is totally f'ed. Armand even states in this episode he's been "cleaning up Louis' messes", dealing with him drinking blood with drugs in it, putting up with his obsession with Lestat for years, etc.. What Armand did is wrong, but Louis is completely manipulative, toxic, and horrible as well.
Oh and the young Daniel played his part sooooo well. he aounded juuuust like older Daniel just younger. From the tone andnpitch of his voice to the way he said certain things. His sarcasm just everything he nailed . My boy aaate like he was at a buffet okay

@RowensARTstudio Eh, agree except for the last part. Louis was already broken down and unstable. Louis was suicidal on the day he was made, and psychotic the day Armand met him. He's never been alright. No one person made him that way by themselves. If you think about it, Armand and Lestat's trauma is as bad as Louis', he didn't win the gold medal in the misery Olympics. They all express their fucked-up-ness in their own ways. Louis chases death, Armand does whatever it takes to protect himself no matter the cost, and Lestat ravages anything in his path.

OMG another amazing episode I'm shook. And I say it all the time this is one of the best shows on TV, and sadly for whatever reason it's so underrated more people should be watching and talking about this gem of a show. Hopefully that changes, and this show blows up. And yes AMC needs better promotion absolutely. Also come award season let's hope that the Emmy's finally give this show the recognition it deserves. At the very least I hope it get's some nominations in all the categories, acting, writing, directing, production design, music, cinematography. This show is brilliant love it. Also we only got 3 episodes left I can't wait!!!
This is my favorite episode of the entire show so far and it honestly made me love Armand's character!! I definitely feel bad for young-Daniel but it sounds like Louis has been getting on Armand's last nerve for months if not years- constantly "cleaning up messes", purposefully drinking peoples' blood with drugs in it, etc. Hurling insults on top of it I can see why Armand snapped lol.
YALL THIS EPISODE WAS GOOD AS HELL LMAO I distinctly remember being baffled by the lack of acknowledgement/awards/accolades for S1. If S2 gets ignored in the same manner... *throws hands up*
Armand is patient, but there are limits to everything and Louis has been pushing those limits for years apparently. I feel bad for Daniel though, him being caught in the middle of this vampire drama.
@RowensARTstudio Honestly, can't wait. This show has been a breath of fresh air, and I need them to make as many seasons as possible. I love Louis and I think he's a great protagonist, flawed and complex, but I like my characters more unhinged, hence the fascination with Lestat and Armand :)
At this point it's kinda confirmed than Louis has a mental illness, probably runs in his family (His brother). So maybe being a vampire AMP's that trait like it does other traits in a person. Next episode we return to Paris and I gotta say Claudia's existence is truly sad/pathetic(not her fault), it's the reason why they don't turn children like Louis really sentenced her to HELL when he asked Lestat (who would have done anything for him at that point) to turn her. Finally this episode confirms Louis version of Lestat is false aka Season 1 Lestat!
I remember comments that were made about the shadiness of calling Bran Stark "Bran the Broken." He's not broken; he's just different. There's nothing wrong with being schizospec, or to be hearing voices, or simply having a bodymind that's 'different', and there's cool systems out here living whole lives Rae Dawn Chong's character from season 1 thought different (or let it slide, as to make no difference either way) I've said it before and I'll say it again now I truly want everyone yes even Armand a chance to call an undead crisis warmline and get into a peer respite run by other vampires with a choice to have any therapies theyd choose - yes even Armand ( as long as yr breathing it's never too late )
So, the big theory is because the next season will be revealed as Anne Rice's The Vampire Lestat like the series name goes with what principle title is being adapted with the last episode working as a prologue to the next season/ show. But again, just a theory some fans have.
Did anyone notice when Louis got mad at Armand for harming young Daniel, Armand calls Louis "Maître" (master in French), and Louis calls Armand by his slave name/childhood name, Arun? Pretty messed up. Any other opinions on this?
Yeah, Armand is way stronger/more powerful than Louis so when I first heard it (I believe it was a previous episode where they called each other like that way back in Paris after Armand first told the story) I initially thought it was some sort of kink thing lmao. As I've rewatched it and seen more of the show I've concluded Louis can be totally manipulative. And in this episode the mocking him over being literally sold into sexual slavery pissed me off. I have a lot of sympathy for Armand.
I understand Armand's reasoning, but he's just so pathetic that I just can't. alterating someone's memories just so they can be in a relationship with you is next level. I would rather be held hostage and beaten to death than have my entire personality altered to someone else's liking
@@exist2rebel152 God will not remove your memories because memories are a part of your God-given soul along with your mind , will and emotions. He can heal painful memories and remove their hurt, by allowing you to remember without painful feelings. everything that happens in the show is demonic and evil by Nature. which makes it so interesting and good. vampires arethe represent the very worst of humanity they are Charming but never kind
armand so damn sick of louis talking about lestat 🤣🤣 that man ain't moved on in centuries (CENTURIES!!) and he's making it armand's problem knowing lestat hit it, quit it, and left him on read. it almost makes me feel bad for his messy abusive ass. not quite, but almost.
Exactly. I don't even understand it. Armand dodged a bullet. Why is he pining after Lestat still 😭 I need them to get into some form of Peer-Crisis-Hotline-for-Ideations / a respite and maybe talk therapy if they so choose (/jk)
Louis talking about Armand chopping off hands was a nasty read from the books because it's in reference to something that went down in the past with Armand, Lestat and Nicki. Louis on mad day is nothing nice. 😭
This episode felt as if it went by so fast, I was so engrossed in what was happening that I did not want it to end. I am probably in the minority, but I find Louis more interesting than Lestat, more attractive as well.
This episode was my favorite! PERIOD (but all of season two episodes are my favorite). Assad's version of Armand is PERFECTION!❤❤❤ He READ THE BOOKS! He is EVERYTHING that I want a live version of Armand to be! He slayed (or should I say bite) in this episode. And I can't get over with his beauty. He is like a painting, so beautiful. And, I love the young Daniel. I wish we have the young Daniel than the old one, I really like him. And Louis being miserable as always, but I love him. And I cried when he tried to S himself, and telling that he heard Claudia.❤😢 I was mad at him (but loving the petty fight) for yelling at Armand, but in the end, I just want to hug him, he is so broken and I just want to make him feel better. This episode made me gagging, puking, crying. I absolutely love it!❤😂 Assad and Jacob did an amazing job. Their acting was astonishing, magnificent! I hope they won an award for their role, they deserve it! Armand is my favorite in the show, I thought tv version of Lestat will have my heart, like in the books, but sadly, he is my least favorite (except for season two ep 3). I do hope they redeemed him because I love Lestat in the books (and 90's movie). S*** will go down in the next episode. And, I can't wait!!!
I agree with everything you said about Assad’s portrayal of Armand 🙌🏾 I’m just going to add that Sam read all the books too. He knows those books backwards & forwards, and it’s something that’s quite known amongst the cast and show runners. I thought Tom did a good job as Lestat in the ‘94 movie…but, I was also just happy to see my favorite character on the big screen. Sam has the look, the french accent and the attitude of book Lestat. Sam is portraying a character that pretty much carried 13 books. He will forever be my Lestat, period🫶🏾 I feel the same way about Jacob. Show Louis is always how I wanted book Louis to be. He will forever be my Louis ❤️ I know that last statement is why my book purest membership is revoked 🤭
Yesssss the Nola accent from Armand killed me okay 😭😭 this show is wooo good inwish they just pur all the episodes out at once...but at the same time i havent had something to look forward to weekly like this in a long time...i mean when it comes to a show..lol not like when it comes to my social life🎉🙃🤦🏾♀️🌚
I actually have quite a bit of sympathy for Armand. I rewatched the show and Armand told Louis like a billion times that the other vampires wanted him dead, were planning to take over, and he couldn't hold them back or protect him much longer, and he/they needed to skip town and Louis basically LOL'ed in face every time. Your recap made my day !! I wish we had a watchparty or reaction zoom call to discuss it too. I already have my popcorn and wine ready for the next episode !!
@RowensARTstudio Maybe I'm missing something here but I don't understand what armand did that made him say such awful things. I mean lestat dropped him from the sky and he's still chasing after him. I love Louis. He's so beautiful yet vicious but this episode in particular I wanted to give him a hot slap.
@RowensARTstudio and I’m 💯 into it!! I think it’s bc book and tv are different mediums. With a book you can read and imagine for yourself but tv they have to show really SHOW the point so they sprinkle a lil tnt a lil bomb juice on it😅
Armand totally let Louis suffer for a few days before bringing him to his coffin and giving him blood. I think he wanted to punish both Louis & Daniel. With Louis it's interesting because he's able to do it under the guise of 'these are the consequences of your own actions'. As in yes Louis is burned because he ran to the sun himself and Armand saved him, but Louis couldn't even *begin* healing until he had blood & the comfort of his coffin. And Armand withheld that and let Louis stew in agony as punishment probably for both the things he said AND the fact that he attempted at all *"You left me for death"* 👀
This episode was fucking EXCELLENT !! When I tell you I was mouth opened flabbergasted in the best way. Also Assad and Jacob were acting DOWN! I wonder if Jacob has theater experience like Assad does, because it was giving thespians 🙂↕️man I love this show so much. Like I need the cast to SWEEP award season
Is Daniel Molloy bisexual? I can't not address it and I am unsure if the show is gaslighting us (/lh) At least with Lestat, he got a "I'm not bisexual I'm just SEXUAL." which is a thing that I've heard others say about themselves in real life
Some things I don't understand. I thought once Daniel got bitten, isn't he supposed to die or be turned? As his maker, why isn't Lestat able to locate Louis on his own? Why is Lestat speaking so longingly of Louis, when he tried to kill him?
You only turn when you drink the vampire's blood after being drained. You don't die unless you're drained of blood. The maker cannot communicate with the fledgling telepathically. The answer to the final question: love is weird.
I find Armand to be so soul-sucking and miserable like the only way Lou could leave Lestat was to be permanently dead inside like Armand. Not to mention there is nothing attractive about him; he seems so obsessive and controlling
Hard disagree. It's stated in this episode Armand has spent months/years cleaning up Louis' "messes", dealing with Louis drinking blood with drugs in it, and of course never ever shutting up about Lestat/his ex. That would drive anyone up a wall. Not to mention Louis chose to mock him over literally being sold into sexual slavery as a child- I was on Armand's side the entire fight after that. On top of that, after Armand told him about that part of his history, Louis sometimes calls him by his slave name 'Arun' and Armand calls him 'maitre' (master) which is totally f'ed. Louis is totally manipulative and obsessive (of Lestat).
In fairness, I think that if Malik were to actually make it to the mosque, Armand would keep his end of bargain and pony up the dogecoin. Probably even gave him a good head start in the name of sportsmanship. But....the chances he actually COULD win are miniscule. Maybe if he were a lot more intelligent, but if he were, he wouldn't have answered the ad in the first place.
I'm an Armand apologist and I don't care. I just understand his motivation. Louis is so manipulative in my opinion. Louis is always withholding. He did it with Lestat and he does it with Armand.
Boy yes they do need a deliverance , i was thinking about if it was possible to reverse the Dark Gift ... Obviously not in this Show/Franchise Universe , but sometimes i just feel so bad for all of them.. Louie was groomed and manipulated by Lestats Ass to become a vamp.... I sometimes wish we got more episodes of him as a human before the change ...
This season 2 is weird they started off weird I didn't understand the Claudia intro into the storyline Louie is always fking and fighting with his cool self Armin is cool too but yes this could be X men 😉 r something 🤣😉
As a Gen Xr ,I saw the original at the theater,...I went on to read every Vampire / Mayfair chronicle books... I didn't care foro season one at all.( The Woke race and sexual orientation swapping was part of it) That said, I've really been enjoying Season 2 much more ...I fear there's no saving the unwatchable Mayfair Witches.(They changed way to much from the original books)
I’m the opposite. I read the books before I saw the movie and was quite disappointed- despite Tom Cruise’s transformation and the very presence of the glorious Brad Pitt. They changed a lot about the characters but one thing I like is that they made it upfront and obvious - this is a gay love story - tragic and toxic but still a love story between two men. The addition of men and people of color is a bit woke and inclusive, but I am a person of color and I LOVED it! It’s like they mixed in a bit if The Feast of All Saints and the mixed culture that’s ingrained in New Orleans. Also, Christopher Rice is an executive producer so i wonder about his influence on the writers. I do agree that they rushed the Mayfair series…those were the hottest bodice rippers. I loved the books. The tv series was terrible.
I only dislike it when media race-swaps in a way that makes it feel like they're simply checking off boxes, and every other aspect remains the same. I don't think they did that here at all- they fleshed out Louis's entire family, his life and backstory, and used it to add an intriguing dynamic to the entire show. I also love that they swapped out the over-used trope of his-wife-died-catalyst and instead made it be his little brother dying instead. I saw the Brad Pitt/Tom Cruise movie before this and remember being baffled and disgusted about why Louis was a slave-owner and despising him the entire movie lmao. It's the reason I took so long to watch the show- I remembered hating the main narrator. I'm happy they changed it.
I think it sad. I think the factions are too divided. You've got the purists that have read the books that don't like the deviation. You've got the IWTV movie fanatics that are wanting it to be like more like the movie. I've read just about everything Anne has written and seen the movie. I'm loving this interpretation. I hope they dig deep into the Vampire Chronicles. It would be epic if they continue with this version of interpretation.
@@lorrainecouch6352 well they did alienate a lot of fans with they gay angle, the black swapping and era swapping. I like the show as it is but I can understand why others are abandoning it.
@@dracula1980 Umm, two of those reasons are absolutely not "understandable"--narrow minded a**, one-dimensional, LIMITED fans and their irrational prejudices and bigotries should not be "understandable."
I hate comments like this. As if queer, black people haven’t been force fed heteronormative white narratives throughout the history of media and been able to still love, sympathize, empathize, and appreciate those narratives and characters. But when the marginalized finally get some shine, all of a sudden it’s understandable for the fan base to revolt?? So being an immortal , telekinetic, mind reading blood sucker is believable enough in order to suspend one’s disbelief but being of color and queer is where they draw the line. GIRL, BYE!

Louis trying to run that pimp game and enjoying a "submissive" Armand. Louis is a jackass at times
You probably won't like heaven then 😂
@@exist2rebel152 God will not remove your memories because memories are a part of your God-given soul along with your mind , will and emotions.
This episode was a hot toxic mess… I watched it over 3 times 😂🤣😂😂😂😅. Daniel the younger is hot 🔥 …
Armond is sadistic. Lord knows what he is planning
Agreed 🤭
Louis has my entire soul
This episode was my favorite! PERIOD (but all of season two episodes are my favorite).
Assad's version of Armand is PERFECTION!❤❤❤
He READ THE BOOKS!
And I cried when he tried to S himself, and telling that he heard Claudia.❤😢
I was mad at him (but loving the petty fight) for yelling at Armand, but in the end, I just want to hug him, he is so broken and I just want to make him feel better. This episode made me gagging, puking, crying. I absolutely love it!❤😂
Assad and Jacob did an amazing job.
Armand has my heart and soul in the version of him. He can do no wrong
I agree with everything you said except - what’s wrong with Eric! He’s amazing too! I want both Daniels!
I agree with everything you said about Assad’s portrayal of Armand 🙌🏾
I’m just going to add that Sam read all the books too. He will forever be my Lestat, period🫶🏾
I feel the same way about Jacob.
Show Louis is always how I wanted book Louis to be. He will forever be my Louis ❤️
I know that last statement is why my book purest membership is revoked 🤭
Yesssss the Nola accent from Armand killed me okay 😭😭 this show is wooo good inwish they just pur all the episodes out at once...but at the same time i havent had something to look forward to weekly like this in a long time...i mean when it comes to a show..lol not like when it comes to my social life🎉🙃🤦🏾♀️🌚
The girls are fighting!!!! 😂
Armand trying to get sympathy for Paris!!! Hell naw!!! You killed his daughter sister!!!!!!
And of course Louis using his history of being sold into sexual slavery as a child as a reason to mock him pissed me off... I was on Armand's side this entire fight after that 😅
Armand was so evillllllllll 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Great commentary on this episode and you're hilarious so i subbed. 👍🏼
^ -me, 2024 (donning my cheerleader uniform )
I LOVE your recaps!!!
Your recap made my day !! I wish we had a watchparty or reaction zoom call to discuss it too. I already have my popcorn and wine ready for the next episode !!
Omg if you’re in Miami can we meet for coffee and debate theories for this show? You’d be sooo fun 😂
Ive been waiting for this since last night lol
Louis is pissing me off
@RowensARTstudio Maybe I'm missing something here but I don't understand what armand did that made him say such awful things. I mean lestat dropped him from the sky and he's still chasing after him. I love Louis. He's so beautiful yet vicious but this episode in particular I wanted to give him a hot slap.
@RowensARTstudio uh oh.
@RowensARTstudio THIS. 💯 If AMC does what I think/hope they do from the books, ohhh it's gonna get nasty, Armand ain't beating those allegations. 👀
@RowensARTstudioTHIS!!!
@RowensARTstudioI know you are right but l love this version of Armand so much I am fully on his side.
I appreciate your breakdown of this series and the dragon one too 🎉 peace 😁
Love your review!
Love this breakdown! How did you make it sound even MESSIER?!
Armand finna be in the Matrix Reloaded Part 2024 in them shades and that trench coat! XD
The ending side by side took me out! 😂 Keep up the great work 👍🏾
i love louis but idk i wanna protect armand like get behind me ! uherfyurhbe
I think this show would have to be promoted by the fans amc isn’t doing what it should to promote this series and it’s too good to be slept on
This episode was fucking EXCELLENT !!
I can't not address it and I am unsure if the show is gaslighting us (/lh) At least with Lestat, he got a "I'm not bisexual I'm just SEXUAL." which is a thing that I've heard others say about themselves in real life
Possibly, but Daniel was also an addict and stated that it was the 70s and anything was on the table in pursuit of the next fix.
Bisexual in both the show and the books.
He has to be brought to the brink of death and then feed the maker's blood in order to turn.
Not twilight vamps. These vamps need a blood transfer.
Louie is so engrossed by lestat and the person who really cares for Louie is armond. Louie clearly has some mental issues. He can go manic at times
Right?! He needed therapy before becoming a vampire. 😂😂😂😂
@RowensARTstudio I can't wait to see what's next!!!
The girls are fighting title is so funny, I had to click!
You wanna talk about a cackle?!? Girl the ki I just had listening to your review. You won a new subscriber sir.
I love your recaps 💜
27:26 LMAO U ARE SOOOO FUNNNNYYY....SUBSCRIBED IMMEDIATELY. LOL RFHT AT 27MIN THAS MY BIRTHDATE...IT WAS MEANT FOR ME TO SUBSCRIBE TO THIS CHANNEL. ❤😂
Loise Fro was so cute 😍
How about this epic scene is between two fine handsome minority men?!?!
I'm an Armand apologist and I don't care. I just understand his motivation. Louis is so manipulative in my opinion. Louis is always withholding. He did it with Lestat and he does it with Armand.
I also am a fellow Armand apologist. I stand proudly with you in my unconditional support of Assad’s Armand.
As a book fan and a fan of the show, I too love the manipulative little gremlin
@@Giraffe27I do as well, but Lestat is my man, my man, my man. 😊
So you telling me with that case of drugs there wasn’t one thing in there that Armand could of given him for the pain…some messy vampires.
P.S. I’m wondering if Claudia is still alive in this series??
I’m watching this episode AGAIN!
I watched this episode multiple times. Great episode!
😂😂😂😂😂
Cackling your so funny , loved your review … new subby 💜👑
Boy yes they do need a deliverance , i was thinking about if it was possible to reverse the Dark Gift ... Obviously not in this Show/Franchise Universe , but sometimes i just feel so bad for all of them.. Louie was groomed and manipulated by Lestats Ass to become a vamp.... I sometimes wish we got more episodes of him as a human before the change ...
Where is the reaction? Isn't this more of a review or recap?
Why did you label it? The girls are fighting that was corny.
This is the really gay Will & Grace
This season 2 is weird they started off weird I didn't understand the Claudia intro into the storyline
Louie is always fking and fighting with his cool self
Armin is cool too but yes this could be X men 😉 r something 🤣😉
Praise the gays sis
Ratings for this show have collapsed.
GIRL, BYE!
@@HAHA_MFer Racist lie about everything, never listen to them.
