    Hello Sis Chi,
I wanted to thank you once again for coming through for me on this moi moi recipe. I am at a phase where I am craving some specific dishes and I really wanted to make moimoi but needed it to come out perfect else I wouldn't eat it . I watched 4 of your moimoi videos, one from 9yrs ago, 4yrs, 2yrs and the 5 ingredients version from a year ago. I realized I am one of those guilty of over accessorizing moimoi.
    I learnt some new tips
1.) Mix everything in before blending
2.) Blend with little water so that the beans aren't playing catch me if you can - this was a great tip and my moimoi came out so smooth. I was one of those who put too much water B4 blending.
3.)let the crayfish and nutmeg complement/season the food and not overwhelm the taste. I was guilty of crayfish overload.
    4) i skipped all the accessories like egg and fish.
This is the simplest and best tasting moimoi I have made so this recipe is a keeper. I am consuming it while leaving this comment.
I will add to my will that if ever anything happens to me B4 I am able to teach my kids how to make all Nigerian meals, my husband must introduce them to your channel and have them watch and practice 1-2 recipes per week. 😁
Thank you for helping us satisfy our craving tonight.

The end result is so tempting! I felt like diving in 😉 we do have it with pap or custard but my favourite way of enjoying Moi Moi is with soaked garri. When my family is enjoying their own with pap or custard I go just suffry go soak my garri 😊 I have not tried eating it with boiled egg or with veggies but I'm definitely going to try it. In this modern day and age where most of our naija females brain done scatta well well and they have lost our traditions and cannot cook, it is good to see good women showing the cooking skills every woman let alone naija woman should have. Well done.
FOR THE VEGANS/Plant based adjustments): Use chickpeas and lentil combination instead of kidney beans, coconut oil works with tumeric v nutmeg.

I kept giving up but always giving it another chance. I followed this recipe bumper to bumper only adding maybe 2 extra ingredients😜. It came out so perfect. I realised my problem is that I add too much water and mixing the whole ingredients before blending is something new to me. Thank you so so much. We all enjoyed it.

Nutmeg????? Hmmmm that is new to me. From childhood till date, we eat moimoi at least 2ce a week. It’s always in the fridge as a quick snack before a main meal. But never have I seen or used nutmeg in it. Loads of ground red crayfish, onions and HOT oil has always done the trick for me. At least that’s how our mother taught my sisters and I. But I will try your recipe

It should be ok for a few days in the fridge (up to 5 days in the winter). The tins are they aluminium/stainless steel? If yes you can store in the tins then warm up like the day you cooked them. For longer than 5 days, store in the freezer then allow to defrost on it's own then warm same way.

Thumbs up for the five ingredients👍. Too much of over ingredients makes the moi moi taste somehow. Thanks for sharing sis and bravo to your five ingredients 👏your the best🤔

What kind of Nutmeg did you use; African Calabash Nutmeg or American/Caribbean Nutmeg? I love your cooking videos and recipes! Your videos, along with those of other African Daughters, have helped me dig deeper into my African roots through cooking. "An old dog can learn new tricks." Thank you my Daughter.

Haha Lady Flo, I was blending tiger-nut the other day, when I remembered our swallow series.
    Let's try tigernut swallow.
Now it's 5 ingredients. Just like I was motivated to do a video. I was too busy to do that.
    I must commend you.

I believe moimoi depends on where you grew up. You said something about adding stuffs to moimoi well if Iam from Lagos or Yoruba land you don't expect me to make moimoi the same way you an Igbo lady will do hers. So we should respect everyone's way of cooking

I stumbled on this video while searching for how to use foil to wrap... since I can’t get leaf down here and what caught me was how clean her beans.... exactly how I loved it, but almost took that part of not adding *stuff* personal. I was like ‘..say wattttt. and started ranting to my children 🤣🤣🤣 . But asides all that, i do love her presentation at d end but I prefer my ‘stuffs’ in my MoiMoi any day, d tin never complete if e no dey inside. And like u rightly stated. It boils down to how u wher taught, Nd ones preferences.

Thanks Flo, I enjoyed the process but it took too long. I like your simple moi moi but I think adding fish, egg etc is simply variety.
