Not me, never eaten Moi Moi with nutmeg will try that. In my family instead of water we use chicken, beef or fish stock whichever was left over. Most of the time we use fish stock since we boil our fish for Moi Moi
She's good, if you know how to cook and see one, you will know. I have watched alot of cooking videos but Flo Chi is different. The day she posted my cultural soup made me love her. The Rivers fisherman soup. She's too good in what she does . I love you Flo. Am also a good cook but i follow you because of other tribes delicacies. Thank 🙏🏻 You so much.
Flo: You are a genius. You explain everything scientifically so that it makes sense. Thank you, my sister for helping people who like to eat nice meals, prepared under most hygienic conditions. Since I started watching you, I have not bought fast food in 3 months. Please try to write a book on all these ideas. God bless you, my sister. JOA. North Carolina, USA.
I’m in American, I love watching a lot of Nigerian movies, Nigerian foods, and making them I can’t wait to try out this Moimoi. I love eating a lot of Nigerian dishes and my family. Also when I make it, thanks for showing me how to make Moimoi.
So grateful to this young beautiful woman each day. I will say I learn how to cook from her. My mom definitely wanted to show me how to cook, but I love to watch television with my dad. My dad and mom always chase me but I don't listen. Please listen to your parents, they sure loves us. But the one who loves us more is Our heavenly Father, Lord God Almighty 😲🥳🙌🙏🫶🫡💪🤗
Hello Florence I just want to appreciate you for all you do I have learnt alots of things from you eg. Using blender for pounded yam, cooking Rice in the oven, and many more you are very creative Keep it up sis.
Hey! Flo, you make me nostalgic with your cooking and stories of those days. I journey back with taste and memories when I watch your videos. Thank you for being real.
Wow! I have learnt new easy method of peeling beans using mortar and pistol. Yes those days moi moi is usually for Saturday lunch. Looks so yummy. This is the type of moi moi I want to be eating now😋
Happy Belated Birthday to Nnedi! I have tried Moi Moi once. It felt like i was in Anambra in Awka South without leaving my chair... Cooked with so much love and care, if I have to prepare it, I must watch it from you Aunty Aunty, because you have taught me a lot even about culture and even life. Thank you and God Bless You.

Flo will not kill me with laughter. When you call someone "isi Kom kom" that means empty head, so I guess it's called that when its empty not when it has content in it. I like my moi moi with just titus fish or boiled egg. These days people do all sorts, I once bought moi moi, lo and behold when I cut it open I saw diced carrots and green peppers in it. My kids rejected it, I had to throw it away. Wow! Nene is so tall!! I totally enjoyed this video, everything on point. Love you sis. ❤
Isi Kom Kom 🤣😂🤣 Empty vessel. Nne eh, the pimping up of foods has gone nuclear. I would rather steam or stir-fry the veggies and serve on the side than have them inside the Moi Moi. I'm glad you enjoyed it. Thank you. ❤❤❤
Peeling beans and folding foil bags was my entire childhood! That, and chopping okra. I now run from moi moi and akara prep by any means necessary. Now with this mortar hack, I may just come back.
Chai ooo! I even forgot about the foil bags. O di egwu! Suffer dey ooo. Umu azi kitaa amaro what they escaped from. Try the mortar and see if you find it easier. ❤
First of all, I love your channel. If I close my eyes and listen to you talk, I can hear my aunty voice mannerisms, it's so heart warming. Secondly, how long did it take you to pill beans with the mortar method. I used a food processor and I honestly felt like it was a punishment
I love peeling my beans with motar while in Nigeria, but I use blender now as you said I agree that motar does a better job, but I don't even bother peeling everything as in 100% after all we eat beans with it's peel or back🤣🤣. Happy birthday Nnedi, many more years to celebrate. The young shall grow, she has really grown.
Flo. You have made me a perfect wife, my hubby don't eat out anymore , even when am not around he will ask me my/ yours recipe.thank u so much we love u 😘😘

Hmm Flo, well done. Moi Moi is work, the preparation is tedious for sure. They are my favorite, the beans are tough. It usually takes me 3 days, until someone suggested using the blender to peal. Then I watched a video suggesting not to peal that its fiber, then my mother sent me pealed ones from the UK to the USA. I love the latter, it's much easier and faster- only requires soaking for a few minutes.
I am getting a pestle and mortar--been using a whisk and big plastic rectangular bowl and I don't get all the peels off. Thanks for the inspiration. I notice I use a low simmer and in 15 minutes, the beans are done. It's so fast and very very digestible. Well done on this video. I appreciated your opinions about the blender.
Awesome tutorial video. I use a mortar and pestle also. It's so easy to clean that way for me. I am learning so much from this wonderful video. 👍 👍 👍 👍 👍 👍 👍.
Making moi moi from scratch Is a labour of love that I have to psych myself up for several days prior!! I agree with you that using the blender is not as efficient. I will try the mortar. Finally, I prefer my moi moi plain but 😋
You're funny, when you talked about your village people that might have added more beans to your batter. Thank you for the video flo. I soaked my beans for few days and blended it with the skin on because I wanted to keep the fiber and it turned out very tasty 😋. Off course it is more visually appealing without the skin, like white rice vs brown rice in comparison.
That means I will use brown beans,I don't want the pilling wahala. But for me I prefer my moi moi plain without accessories.... I admire u Flo always cheerfully doing her thing
Peeling the beans is the main work. I prefer to use my hands to peel it like I am washing bitter leaf (Not the tough beans). You are looking bright and beautiful. Happy birthday to your daughter. Abundant blessings.
