How many of y’all know this method of using blender to peel beans but still use the good whole trusted hands bcos the village girl in us can’t trust blender to do the job let’s know ourselves 😂
I am jamaican and i love how she prepares her food...she is always clean with her preperations and food always looks tasty..i have watched others before but would never try anything they cooked..i would try hers tho
I'm so early today. Sisi you washed that beans! No single skin and the beans were still whole. This moi moi is born again. I use only the remekin one but that muffin liner moi moi looks so good. Best way to trick kids to eat moi moi.
Wow upgrade 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 Thank you Sisi most of all my Nigerian recipes I learned from you. My husband is Nigerian and am Kenyan. Lot's of love from Finland 🇫🇮🇰🇪
Now tell me what can I do without you Africans? You guys are so good at cooking. I am from Grenada in the West Indies. I always love African dishes. I have subscribed.
Necessity is the mother of invention! Chai Sisi Yemmie went to school for this beans peeling method. Personally I find the peeling by hand very therapeutic 😂 and yeah I know I know I know, am that wierdo lol. Being a Chef, I find peace and therapy while in the kitchen 😂😂
That's great actually. I like cooking but I don't appreciate how tired I feel after standing and cooking for long hours so I am all for the shortcuts. To each his own
This is beautiful Yemisi. I have baked moi-moi before with out the steam plate and it came out hard. Thank you for sharing this recipe. I will give it a try.
Yeah. I discovered this beans peeling hack courtesy of TH-cam sometimes last year, and it has been super helpful. Making moi moi and Ankara has been a lot easier for me now.
Gourmet Moi Moi, amazing craft, thanks so much for this, lemme go and be looking for honey beans in my African store that is open...God is Amazing at such a time as this!
Sisi Yemi, you are a genius! I followed your advice and peeled my beans in the blender, It worked like magic and saved me a lot of time. Thanks for sharing.
Wow! This is what I made today. We're in the spirit. Anyways, I do something different, I fry crayfee (that is I fry tomatoes - fresh or tin together with tatashi or shombo and add crayfish with desired seasoning) and pour into the blended beans. The taste is out of this world. Try it someday
Thank you very much for beans pilling part I just try it was so easy I normally used whole day to pile my beans and cook it the next day thank you for sharing am so grateful you don’t know how happy I am
Yes o, making moi moi as a teenager was really stressful because of the wahala of peeling the beans. Celebrating my husband's birthday today and he's requested for moi moi, so this video has saved me thanks a bunch😁
Thanks sisiyemi for teaching me this easy way to peel beans. That has always been my discouragement to cook moi-moi or akara, now with this knowledge my problem is over. I literally paused the video and went to peel my beans in the blender, it was even easier that i thought. Thanks once more
It's been years since I ate moi moi as where I live no moi moi leaf and Iv tried seeking for methods. Now I can order for ramekins and silicon cup cakes knowing fully well what you just demonstrated. Thank you so much for teaching these methods. God bless your skills
I love ❤️ Nigerian Moi Moi. Rich in protein and flava. Yes, I do that to my beans. Place in blender so much easier. When I make Gambian Akara it’s my method. 😊
Thanks for this recipe and hack! I made stress free unplanned moi moi for dinner tonight and it went down a treat. I hate peeling beans but u may have made moi moi a staple in my house again. Thanks again💋

My husband and I tried this recipe, it was delicious. I was so excited not to meal prep his lunch for work for 3 days. We used the muffin tins and it was perfect. My husband also tried using tin cans for nostalgia since his mom used to do it that way. All methods were great!!!
I’ve found that soaking the beans helps the back come off easier in the blender as well and it saves the time you use to soak it again to blend it. Saves time. But thanks for showing us another method
Love the water bath method, this is how I do my own always! I used to do it in one big cake tin but have switched to silicone cups as faster. I also use full fat fresh milk to blend the beans, it makes the result lighter and fluffier.
