Brother I am so excited to work with you. My biz partner and I are big fans of the channel. What a great choice to launch with. Only problem is, now I want one. Can you do a video on "How to convince your wife to let you buy a motorcycle?" haha.
It's not a cruiser... it's a Performance Cruiser, which was huge back in the early 2000's when everyone was trying to get into the niche with the Harley VROD, Honda VTX 1800 and VMAX, the Yamaha Warrior, the Kawasaki Mean Streak, Suzuki M109R, and yes, the Diavel. We have a Mean Streak over on our chan we ride regularly and LOVE IT. Actually, it was the first bike I ever bought with my own hard earned cash when it launched in 2002.
@@chadbrodersen3875 I remember when the first V Rod series rolled out. It turned many of my sport bike friends into Harley riders. But the muscle bike concept has died down quite a bit since then. Riders are more interested in ADV or touring, while having a sport bike or sport tourer as an extra.

The biggest issue with it is the desmo service and needing to change out the timing belt every 5 years regardless of how much you ride it. Mainetnance is just a nightmare. I'll never get another Ducati.
Seeing as it's a Lower 48 Continental USA only competition, it seems my C-109R will remain the only bike in my garage for a while yet. That's ok though, cause sometimes it's tough enough keeping my licence on it, let alone something smaller, lighter, and with a bit more power. All the best with Fanathem though Spite. If you know you know. The V4 doesn't have the Desmo service. The v2 does but it's every 15k miles or 5 years. My service cost 800$ for the belts the desmo calls for and everything else they did.
Being honest no intrest in Ducati because I heard average cost of service is $1200. But honestly that does change my opinion if diavel doesn't require that service it is a cool bike definitely more intresting now
Never warmed up to the 1200-1260cc V Twin powered Gen. Still haven't, probably never will. Specially that useless, style over function, non existent front fender, pointlessly wide rear tire and melting headlight. The rest I could live with it. P.S: This Gen still have DESMO, so no . . . And NO STINKIN DESMO and way long valve adjustment intervals ! 👌☺👍 I'm willing to overlook that recurring pointlessly wide rear tire.🙄👎
I considered one about a year ago. There was only ONE rear tire option (in the factory size). That gave you about 2000-2500 miles and cost $350 before any extra fees. Also the Desmo service was quoted to me by multiple Ducati shops at $1800-$2200. Yes you can do it yourself (I believe the tools needed are about $140 and the parts are ~$180) it takes 2 hours, apparently, if you know what you're doing (which I do not).
I see Spite blasting some Trivium. Is it ironic or peotic that you actually came all the way back around to the giveaway business model? Im still excited too see what you do with the diavel.

The Diavel is my dream bike and likely my second bike. The 1260 is my favorite, but the earlier gen is growing on me a lot and are much more affordable on the used market in my area.
I wish Ducati would design some nice sleek saddlebags to go with it. Then it'd be perfect imo! I bet they could do a great job. I bet it would cost an arm and a leg tho
