    Years having this issue on my Laptop, and not having a solution from HP Support. I also think shutting down my computer for years because of that, I damaged my HDD, so I had to replace it with an SSD.

    People should not answer questions for which they do not really have an answer, That said, I would like to compliment Kingsley for having the exact solution for my laptop freezing while sleeping or going into sleep.
    I have been having this problem for months with my Acer. Very annoying have to do a hard shutdown 50% of the time. Kudos to Mr. Kingsley and my sincere appreciation for some honest help.

    After 2 years of having my laptop and sending it back to ASUS 3 times to be fixed (all of which just involved clean booting Windows 10), after having looked all over the internet and finding the same old absolutely useless 'advice' ("disable fast startup", "disable hibernation", "enable wake timers", "enable device to wake up computer"), after having this problem 2-3 times a day and having no clue what was going on, FINALLY, a solution that actually works. Honestly, from the amount of internet pages I have trawled through, I think this is the solution for around 95-100% of users' sleep and hibernation wake issues. I am so incredibly greatful for the solution and am completely shocked that this is not more widely posted around other 'help' forums, I have had 7 days now without any problems, thank you so so much for the help, keep up the good work Kingsley!

      @@hamzajd6312 Yes, honestly the only solution that has ever worked and I'm so so happy for it. I was really close to buying a new laptop because I just couldn't wake it up after sleep and I would always lose all my work. The best and only solution to my problem and it took me 2 years to find it.

    New HP Pavilion. Worked! Simple Fix. Thank You!!!! Laptop now DOES NOT freeze under all avenues of going to sleep/waking. HP was useless on this issue. Other fixes probably would of done more harm than good. Way to go Kingsley! Keep up the great work. MK

      Sorry about the name. It was a local sewage problem, and I set up an facebook account to embarrass Clare County Council to fix the issue. In fairness to them, they did fix the issue. I must try to set up a personal facebook page, but I hate the sight of Facebook, Twitter, etc etc. For the past month, it seems that Microsoft, Google, and Samsung (phone) are having a kind of ware over my mail accounts etc. The war is being conducted on my PC, without my permission!

    It's funny that I just bought an HP Envy 360 with the same 3F0 error after waking up from sleep. Many people including tech support from HP believed that this has to do with either hardware (such as SSD, Video Card or motherboard) which I believed it has direct implication with the way that Windows 10 is instructing the computer to behave after certain actions such as waking up. Thanks for sharing and I must say that so far so good...

    I Love you man like forreal bro i had this problem for years everything i read didn't help and even the HP customer services was just talking nonsense. This even solved my booting problem i had where the laptop would just go in a booting cycle over and over. U literally killed 2 birds with 1 stone for me . Respect 🤘🏿❤

    One more thing guys...Intel management engine enterface is the only key which can help you with this issue....try older versions or better try the latest version...i tried version 11.6. something and it went fine...

    I'm using an acer laptop and this was the only thing that fixed my issue. Thankyou so much, now I can close the lid without worrying that I'll end up having to manually shut my pc off.

    This is the only fix I have been able to find after a year of having my laptop. This worked for me months ago but all of a sudden I'm beginning to get the same issue again. Some update probably messed something else up, anyways, it happens less or never because of you and I'm grateful

      Yeah I got a recent update that reset everything. Just follow the tutorial again.

    I have this problem for 7 years, since I bought this HP laptop, I dont believe it was just that... Whenever I needed to format my computer I always had to downgrade my dedicated AMD graphics card... but this solved all the problems with all the drivers updated for me!

      Try boot into safe mode and do it.

      Ok. Hold the power button in for about 40 seconds.. This is a hard shutdown.... then power on.....computer should boot up with the monitor. Then you can make the changes

    Worked pretty well for shutdown and sleep. Thanks a lot! Didn't work for hibernating though. Same problem still persists while hibernating.

      It should work for hibernate, try edit the power settings for hibernate or perhaps you are not using the recommended power setting.

    I have a high-end HP 440 G7 Notebook and whenever it sits idle or I wake it up from sleep mode it freezes eventually I was terrified when I had to continuously hard shut down the notebook!! I am yet to try this method..I made all the changes here. Let's see. If this works I'll give you a shout on all my social channels and podcast mate..you'll be a god for me LMAO

    Thanks so much. HP support has been anything but helpful for all their products and I am fairly computer/printer savvy so usually I can figure out how to fix things. I was REALLY getting tired of taking out my battery, unplugging my computer and having to restart every time this happened. Now if I could fix my HP Officejet Pro 6975 printer to print in color with perfectly good new color cartridges (also HP and yes tried another set of fresh color cartridges too at office supply store where I purchased my 80$ worth of HP cartridges) my life would be complete. HP “Doctor” is worthless as is their other suggestions. This printer is not abused and frankly not that old either. Staples office supply said the cost of a repair from HP could be 200$! The darn printer didn’t even cost that much!

      Shut off the power, press the power button continuously until the power light goes off, wait for a minute or two then you power up the laptop, When the laptop is already on that is the time you follow the instructions in this video.

    Hey! I had the same problem than you, but just not always.. couldn't figure out the bugging pattern. Could not repeat the bug voluntarily.
    Anyways, I just tried your method (thanks a lot by the way) Will let you know if the problem happens again or not in the following weeks :) Fingers crossed!! 🤞

      A quick feedback after having tried your solution. It worked for a month, but freezing happened again 2 days ago... I went to intel management engine interface, and the box was ticked again.. maybe an update modified this ? I'll keep an eye on it.
      P.S: I'm running on Windows 10 build 1909.
