Just for anyone who hasn't had luck with these steps here's what happened with me: did all the steps with no success. Then I started taking out any hardware I had added previously. I added an extra 4 gb ram stick, and an ssd when I got the laptop last year. Took out the new ram and it works fine now. The new ram had gone bad so pulling that brought it back to life. Thanks for the great video tho
I was freaking out because I thought that I needed to bring my laptop to a repair shop, Thank God I found your video and It help me run my laptop back to normal 😭, gave the video a thumbs up 👍🏼
Very informative video, thanks for your insight. For those of you who have a non-removable internal battery there is a tiny hole at the back with a diagram of a battery. This is where the reset button is and acts the same way as unplugging the battery cable from the motherboard. Insert a pin and gently press the button. This worked for me and I was able to boot up the laptop. Hope this helps.
I don't know how to thank you man. You saved my life and my laptop. I was watching a video, paused it, shut the laptop to sleep mode, open the laptop but the screen is all black. My heartbeat was on next level and then I found you and the force reset method worked for me. I am so relaxed now. Again very very thanks
I just wanted to say Thank You for this video!! Honestly, something you suggested actually helped me fix my computer. I was excited and empowered with your suggestion to open the bottom of the laptop and because you walked us through, I had the courage to do so. The first large battery disconnect didn't fix it, but the Second little battery getting disconnected did! Truly, thank you again for coaching me through and helping me get my first taste of opening up my laptop. I Love doing stuff like that, and it feels so great to make something actually work again!! Keep up the great videos. THANK YOU!!!!

Guys, I have a tip that may work. In my case, a Lenovo y550 laptop wouldn't show any display whatsoever, not even on an external monitor. @@nevineamisi6229 As soon as you start your laptop keep pressing F8 key until the options don't arrive and then you will need to select "Last Known Good Configuration" after that the laptop will reboot itself then see if then it goes through the booting process and let me know, thanks!
15 seconds worked for me thanks
Thank you so much for this video! I am not tech savvy at all. But you gave me the confidence to take the back off of my laptop and to disconnect the battery. I was terrified to mess something up, but I did it! After disconnecting the battery, and plugging the power cord in, my laptop booted up like normal. I then went back in and reconnected the battery and so far, so good. I might even go back in soon to clean the fans on my own. Thank you so much! 💜👏🏻
I tried your fixes. None of them have worked. I tried recovery mode, but it reads "verification turned off" I'm unable to turn it on. I don't think my model uses a cmos battery. My screen is black when it turns on, but you can kinda see a flicker of light. The light is low, though.
mine is the same did you ever fix it
@@kami4362 I kept resetting it, over and over again. It eventually reset. But it took many tries. Have faith, keep resetting. I think it's ctrl, alt, shft,r, or something like that.
@@katyhernandez6560 when you said resetting.. are you talking about the first step on the video? I think mine is the same .. I can see a flicker of black light but nothing is working
I followed all the steps on this video, but my screen remained black even though it powered up.
How did you solved it now
Remove any power source than hold in Power button for 60 Seconds after that release it and just turn on your laptop like you normally would👍
Didn’t work for me
Any other ideas?
@@chardygirldid you ever find a fix?
Unusually clear and easy to follow help. Thank you very much.
Thank you. Though I know turning off the laptop was a starting point I did not know I had to hold the power button for 15m minutes. Very helpful video.
So clear and easy to follow thank you!
