    Have mine mounted on my Airforce Texan .457 Big Bore air rifle,....shooting NSA 350g HPBT .... all I can say is, WOW!
    I'm zeroed at 100.
    But I have to say,...This is the most impressive additional piece of hardware on my rifle to date.. this is def proven, and worked flawlessly.. my range unfortunately only goes out to 200y max in Long Island NY, but dialed up 7 clicks and I was ringing the gong in seconds... this was def worth every penny, as well the incredible reviews I've read on it ..., it really is truly an amazing base for anyone shooting anything.

    That mount is quite a machining project, with that micrometer-like adjustment integrated within. To make it reliably & repeatably stay in plane while adjusting that fine -- well I guessed, w/o seeing, at least $1k if it's reliable and the maker knows the value of his work. Thank you Ray. Not in my arena for use, but impressive idea & seems well implemented, mechanically.

    Yeah it isn't cheap but for ELR shooting it's definitely worth it. I was lucky enough to get one from my cousin and put it on my 6.5x47 lapua, thinking about switching it to a 300 norma mag and seeing how far I can stretch it out also Ray there's someone who makes an optic that has a similar design to that mount but its all in one package

    Maybe I should have stayed on that path to manufacturing these types of adjustable scope rings... LOL... Oh well, chalk that one out with the other 30 to 40 ideas I got bored with running the gameshow on R&D... Nice looking set up. The issue I was having was how to have enough tightness or rather friction in the wrist pins systems, that allows free floating or rocking action, but not bounce your POI's all over the place.. either way, nice set up...

  • @bryanduchane2371
    @bryanduchane2371 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Super cool. Imagine what that does for scope manufacturers. They could make optics without many adjustment requirements other than a zero. Could really change scoop manufactures in the future. Better glass with only minor adjustments. It's a pipe dream for them.
    Wouldn't be surprised if one of them bought this company out and sold as a package.....???

    1st there is long range then extreme long range then ultra long range for ulr there is night force atacr 5-25x56f1 with 120moa Elevation, then vortex razor gen 3hd 6-36x56 same 120 moa but there is Chinese secozoom Ed 4-50x75 with 60moa in it so that is so confusing
    Plus how exactly to find 120 moa scopes on a single platform so I can buy the least priced
    plus there r adjustable scope bases like ivey scope base so how can 120moa b achieved using a 60moa scope with ivey scope base

  • @randyallen1544
    @randyallen1544 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    well, one needs to look at what they are shooting, and how much elevation is needed. 60 mil is what it's good for. one has to plug in the distances for their situation and see where things end up. lets look at 6.5 CM, as it's what is in my solver. 37XC would be more realistic, but i'm not gonna change it over for y'all. the mount runs out of up at 2600 yds. then you start seeing how much scope up you have left. a 6.5CM is in the wind past 1750, and that is with the best stuff berger has. 2 miles is 110 MRAD, or 378 MOA. about twice what this will do. something with similar velocity and BC will need the same elevation, it just will drift in the wind badly, as in you never will see it again.
    go to a long range shoot, walk the line, and see how many of these you see. they are pretty, however.... most folks are using a TACOM prism. if you want to have pretty stuff, and aren't gonna reach that far out, it's cool. if KO2M makes your nipples hard, this won't get you there.
    6.5 CM

    I am a little confused. I just watched another video from you and you sounded like the Arken scopes were the best thing since sliced bread. Why are you not using an Arken? I looked through your video list and you have a lot of different rifles and scopes. If you are in the top tier of shooting, what could possibly motivate you to pump poverty scopes? Maybe this is why TH-camrs are called influencers. Maybe?

    • @XRING
      @XRING  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Great point chainsaw and I’m glad you brought up the question. The Arken scopes are an awesome value for the money with great tracking and decent glass.
      However, I do not compete with them. I have shot matches with them because of divisional limitations. I try to put out good and comprehensive evaluations, but not everyone’s price point will be the same for optics.

    • @chainsaw5524
      @chainsaw5524 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@XRING Thanks for replying. If I am buying a Savage elite precision in 6.5 c.m. and am willing to spend $1200 on a scope, what scope would you suggest for long range target shooting for a grumpy old man that does not want to buy something that he will not regret?

    • @XRING
      @XRING  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No problem at all.
      So, for long range target shooting the 1200.00 pricepoint puts you in that in between range.
      Least expensive would be like the Arken EP5 or SH4 as options.
      Burris XTR III is an option for that price as well as the Athlon Ares.
      The Vortex PST Gen 2 is also an option.
      I have used and tried all of these scopes and it really depends on personal preference.
      The glass will be better on the higher end of the power range on the Vortex, Burris and Athlons in my opinion.
      They all have lifetime warranties on all of the listed models as well. 👍🏼

    You lost me at $945.00 dollars for a scope mount. I get it that that price is reasonable for precision shooting, but at that price point I am not within the target audience it seems.
    I guess I was hoping to finds videos on precision shooting scopes, rings, rifles more affordable, to me. Anything in the $1500-$3000 range for the package is more affordable while taking into account the rings.

    • @zambato9965
      @zambato9965 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      $3,000 with it is doable for a .22lr. I spent $550ish on a Begrara B-14 barreled action, $900ish on an Athlon scope and then you can do the $950 for the rail. Maybe go cheaper on the scope since you wont need to worry about the scope elevation as much.

    • @jamesj1523
      @jamesj1523 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@zambato9965 Does that seem logical to spend $945 on the rail/rings with a $900 scope when the money would be better spent on a more accurate rifle? I like my B14, putting that money from the rail and rifle into a better rfile seems more logical. Still not understanding how the company can justify $1000 ($945 +taxes) for rail/rings. Just saying - Vortex rings $150 and great value/performance.
