If it turns into an extended hostage situation, that’s a different story but also, rare.

You're easily impressed, I'll show you the same accuracy in a Ruger American and swap out the Trijicon for my Pulsar XQ-50-LFR Thermal optic and shoot these same shots at the same distances in complete darkness for less $$$.

Wow, amazing. this makes me realize the difference between bolt vs gas gun noise. Your bolt gun makes it so quiet, my Noveske gas gun set up with subsonic and a can is much more noisy because of the action slamming back and forward. And I even put a JP Enterprise silent capture buffer spring on it. Thanks for the great video.
Nice setup. I have an AAC micro 7 rifle (Remington model 7 short action) with a griffin armament sportsman TM large volume 30 cal can. Its just as quiet and accurate with subs but obviously not as compact. There is a chassis system that gets me there but I havent seen a need for it. I have also been pushing the heavy bullets 220-240g (hard cast and coated) above subsonic velocities for increased terminal performance with great results.
I have tried a heavy projectile. Drilled out the primer pocket using a magnum primer and pistol powder in a 308. Very low recoil and high accuracy over 100m might be a speed of 900ft per second. Without a suppressor it is still amazing. To be able to clip and unclip a scope that is some magic machining.
You definitely earned my subscription, I served for seven years in the British army (22nd Air Defence Regiment Royal Artillery and later in 16th Air Defence Regiment Royal Artillery, on the Rapier SAM, tracked). From 1989 - 1996. I really miss going to the range and getting to play with my Belgian FN, SLR then later on with the SA80, although I must confess that my absolute favourite was the GPMG (General Purpose Machine Gun). I have always had a deep interest in Sniper rifles (sadly I never got the chance to fire one during my service), so anything concerning them, both military or police I'm there watching it 😁.
There’s plenty of civilian target shooting clubs in the UK. You’re probably not far from one if you’re interested in trying it out. Can’t use semi-auto SLRs or GPMGs unfortunately, but high precision sniper type rifles are plentiful. Try Googling or contact the NRA at Bisley, they should be able to point you in the direction of a club near you.
Really appreciate getting audio on the receiving end of your shots, definitely exemplifies the capability of suppressed shots. Wish more content creators did this. That rifle is scary quiet, I wonder if you could build a 300 AR in a compact package like that with similar, perhaps not as accurate, performance. Something to chew on...
@@edwardlance2379 I also doubt the very ability of a subsonic round to cycle properly without drastically reducing bullet velocity and weapon range, which in this rifle, is already short. Because in semi auto part of the round energy is spent on the cycling.
@@rechitsapivo That's why you have to account for it with the powder load. It's easy to do though. I can easily load some rounds, go to the range and chronograph velocities and then adjust my load accordingly to achieve the magic 1050 FPS for that particular rifle. My 7.5" 300 blackout pistol shoots 225 grain Hornady ELD-Match bullets at an average of 1030-1050 FPS over 11.9 grains of CFE-BLK powder and the gun cycles perfectly with that round with or without the suppressor attached. But, because it has that semi-auto action, just the sound the of the bolt slamming back and forth, even if the suppressor was able to reduce any blast to 0 (which it isn't), it will always be louder than a suppressed bolt gun because it doesn't have the cycling action. However, the AR is still plenty quiet enough to shoot without hearing protection. That's still a tremendous reduction in sound. Many people think suppressors make the gun dead quiet (they've seen too many hollywood movies). You can get pistols that will shoot incredibly quiet, but they are the exception rather than the norm.

In an urban situation a law enforcement sniper may be at a much closer range than you might expect. Being able to operate without giving up one's position may be critical. Especially if you need to engage multiple threats.
Wow! That has got to be the quietest sniper rifle I have ever NOT heard! I remember the Remington 700's that we used in Vietnam as sniper rifles. Great review. I really liked the audio from target perspective. It would have been nice to hear the shot from the longer distances to really drive home how little noise this weapon makes.
I've just come across your vid and i'm really impressed by this gun, even though it'a a light weight it does manage to look solid and sturdy, the precision suffers no disappointment, folded stock, the rail and the bolt are of good quality and of course, it's so quiet, this gun had been built with a purpose and it serves it right. On another note, it's nice for once to see a no-bullshit gun demo where you go straight into the subject and deliver what we expect, there's another guy just like you that is very well known from his hills in Tennessee, that's John Hicock, hats down for content quality and i'll be around now.
I wish we could build up something like this. I'd like to know more about how that bolt face seals the gasses out. That long over the barrel suppressor is fantastic for this special purpose rifle!
Eric, If you look up videos and information on the American Rifle Company's Mausingfield (a combination of Mauser and Springfield) bolt I'm pretty sure you'll find more information on that type of design. The owner of the company designed a lugged bolt face with that same convex style seating. In a couple of his videos he explains how the design helps the bolt seat at true center every time. It's been a long while since I watched them, but I remember he does a pretty good job of putting engineering gobbledygook into the layman's terms. Hope this helps.

Your shooting range steals the show every time I see it.Thats a neat rifle for sure, and would make for a great backpack/survival gun. I love shooting my bolt action 300 BLK suppressed, I found the magic load for my riffle using 225 gr Hornady ELD Match bullets and Hodgdon Lil'gun, with my load everything has been sub-moa so far. I would equate the sound to shooting CCI Quiet-22 from a suppressed bolt action 22.
Damn that is quiet, my Beeman .22 break barrel air rifle is louder. But with the smaller .177 cal barrel it sounds about the same very impressive for a 30 cal rifle.

Anything made by B&T will be exceptional and expensive. That SBR is the quietest 300BLK I've ever heard. Also the range is well laded out into it's natural surroundings. My guess is it a private range from the looks of the beauty and cleanliness of the property. Nice review Ray. Out of my price range, but would love to own one, Keep the reviews coming.
yes, b&t is a bit more expensive, but the overall package is right. i also don't have the money to start a large b&t collection, although I would really like to. many things that are built here are more expensive here than in the usa, what is actually illogical, but an adjustment to the purchasing power. but, as i have commented on many such videos for some time now, the b&t apc9 is the best weapon for inexperienced shooters to get in touch with weapons. of course, the apc9 is more expensive than products from cz or hk, but it is also better. greetings from the heart of europe.
At 4:09 is the definition and mission of a police sniper stated accurately. I was a member of Chicago's Hostage Barricade Team and then for a few months briefly a secondary rifleman. Overwatch and intelligence gathering is the main objective. Thanks for a great video.

Thanks very much for the review. Seems like a very nicely made gun. Sounds very much like an air gun. For something subsonic and relatively short range, I'd much rather have a larger caliber and heavier bullet, but that doesn't really fit the .300 AAC Blackout design brief, which seems primarily supersonic.
Totally agree. So many companies have good products but you can’t justify a 5000 dollar 100 meter rifle unless you’re an agency that specifically needs that. But even then that rifle is such a small niche role it can play.

I’m a B&T nut and own their gen1 APC9-SD (2 stamp) and got one of the first batch of APC10s when they became arrived in the US. (two stamp) gun too suppressed. I doubt I will even own this 300 at 5K but would for 3K. ( hint hint B&T USA if you are reading this. ) Thanks for the video. For factory ammo, I’ve always had great results with their 208gr blue label box BTW Out of my own self built 300 BLK AR. Off topic comment, but most people don’t know they actually warranty their own magazines for the APC-9 and I’m sure other models. I’m just using the APC-9 for reference since gen1 doesn’t take Glock mags.

@@gbitencourt He asked out at range. Your measurement would be at the barrel measuring the muzzle velocity, and assuming approximately 1010 ft/s subsonic speeds. I would imagine at 150 meters (max effective range) you are probably losing about 40% of your energy.
@@pappaflammyboi5799 I don't think so. Even some airgun slugs retain more than 90% downrange. These Hornady plastic pointed ones I think are even better, with very low negative acceleration.
@@gbitencourt You still aren't being accurate by quoting the muzzle velocity. The OP asked for downrange energy delivery. I just looked up the ballistics charts for a few different subsonic 300 BO cartridges. The energy loss is greater than 15% on all of them past 150 m.
I'd like to see a comparison (including dB levels) between the B&T 300 and 1) A suppressed 300 Blackout on an AR-15 platform and 2) A suppressed Tavor 300 Blackout. Clearly the B&T would be much lighter, but the other platforms would be much cheaper.

Is it really that better? Most of the metro police don't even carry guns so a taser is the most they have against an angry guy which could actually have a gun.
I'd advice you to just go to your nearest shooting range where you live now and try them out that way. The best guns are incredibly expensive anyway and better off just rented out for an afternoon. Depending on where you live that is ;-)

I can guarantee you they're allowed to be owned by private individuals in Australia, in fact some of the best ultra long distance shooting channels on TH-cam are Ozzies.
@@alphaomega9255 I need better super vs subs communication here. Not saying it isn't, just wondering. The downrange Crack from supers you can't do anything with though I thought. So sound at breach and muzzle is what the suppressor is for with supers. There's only so quiet you can get with a Crack downrange.
This gun would be substantially quieter, 9 times out of 10 I think. Unless you use the same approach, like an integrally suppressed/ 9-inch barrel with the suppressor making the rest of the length IMO. I have a friend who has a bolt gun similar in design and it's very quiet with subs; with supers it's still very quiet at the muzzle, though you still hear that Crack downrange. I like this gun but I don't 5k like it. Or maybe that's what you meant, sorry if I miss read the question.

Why is this so quiet though? It's clearly an amazing machine and built with precision. $5k is a hefty pricetag for a 150-200m rifle. But I have to say if I could afford it I would probably already have one. Very cool rifle!
Great hunting rifle. I wish people will understand that this rifle with the subsonic bullet has all the power needed for deer, pig, etc. The accuracy appears to be good too. The low noise report allows for a stealthy hunting without spooking everything around. And the light weight combined with the takedown design and easy set up makes it as close to perfect as you can get. The price is very high from machining standpoint, but instead of buying 3 or 5 rifles you will have one which is all you need. In an ideal world this rifle will be extremely popular hunting rifle and would have been designed for hunting 4 legged creatures not for "bad guys" but... we are not there yet. Actually, I think that for "bad guys" this round is an overkill. A 200-grain bullet is too heavy to be 100% "stopped" in someones' head (or torso) and in a hostage situation the shooter would have limited opportunity to take a shot even if the bullet fragments almost instantly. A .223 subsonic HP bullet would be the right choice for this rifle. It would be even quieter and much less dangerous for hostages thus giving the opportunity to the shooter to take almost any chance he gets.
Not only that, but the most practical aspect for hunting with this is the fact that 99% of us hunters don’t wear ear pro for obvious reasons while hunting. So although I don’t really care about keeping my shots quiet during hunting(once I shoot one time my hunting is done for the day regardless, as a deer hunter) but not taking a 30-06 straight to the ear is FAR more appealing than anything else and exactly why suppressors should be sold just like a lower receiver is.
@@graftongodofmemes A good hunter should be fine within 150 yards max. Beyond that you need a supersonic bullet to keep the trajectory flatter but you will increase the noise substantially.
Now THAT was cool. When you put the lapel mic on the camera, I watched you walk away and assumed you would be at the end of the range or by the truck because of the direction of your body. All of a sudden "thyooop" and I couldn't even tell where it came from! Took me a minute to realize you were back in the trees/stairs. Very cool, indeed!

An AR's action cycling is around 120 decibels, so no matter how quiet your suppressor and cartridge combo is, it'll never be as quiet as a bolt gun.

This gun is best used for murder instead of self defense or hunting.
Rifles like this are designed to remove a threat. Either by elimination of that threat or damaging their equipment reducing their effectiveness.

Great review. I really liked the audio from target perspective. It would have been nice to hear the shot from the longer distances to really drive home how little noise this weapon makes.
I would hhave liked to hear the impact shots with audio from the target camera only to truly see how quiet it is down range.

I've just come across your vid and i'm really impressed by this gun, even though it'a a light weight it does manage to look solid and sturdy, the precision suffers no disappointment, folded stock, the rail and the bolt are of good quality and of course, it's so quiet, this gun had been built with a purpose and it serves it right. On another note, it's nice for once to see a no-bullshit gun demo where you go straight into the subject and deliver what we expect, there's another guy just like you that is very well known from his hills in Tennessee, that's John Hicock, hats down for content quality and i'll be around now.

I wish we could build up something like this. I'd like to know more about how that bolt face seals the gasses out. That long over the barrel suppressor is fantastic for this special purpose rifle!
Eric, If you look up videos and information on the American Rifle Company's Mausingfield (a combination of Mauser and Springfield) bolt I'm pretty sure you'll find more information on that type of design. The owner of the company designed a lugged bolt face with that same convex style seating. In a couple of his videos he explains how the design helps the bolt seat at true center every time. It's been a long while since I watched them, but I remember he does a pretty good job of putting engineering gobbledygook into the layman's terms. Hope this helps.
Absolutely love the review. Very cool rifle. Very uncool there's no way I could afford one. Something that quiet would open up so much shooting opportunities in my own backyard.
Any 300 blackout suppressed with subsonic ammo is that quiet. You basically hear the bolt cycle and that's it.

@@ratatatatata5290 I quit buying ammo at .74 a round. I don't know if there are less expensive 300 blackouts I'd imagine there are mine was 1200 but used. Would of cost me 2500 to build it at that time.

Your shooting range steals the show every time I see it.Thats a neat rifle for sure, and would make for a great backpack/survival gun. I love shooting my bolt action 300 BLK suppressed, I found the magic load for my riffle using 225 gr Hornady ELD Match bullets and Hodgdon Lil'gun, with my load everything has been sub-moa so far. I would equate the sound to shooting CCI Quiet-22 from a suppressed bolt action 22.

Damn that is quiet, my Beeman .22 break barrel air rifle is louder. But with the smaller .177 cal barrel it sounds about the same very impressive for a 30 cal rifle.

Anything made by B&T will be exceptional and expensive. That SBR is the quietest 300BLK I've ever heard. Also the range is well laded out into it's natural surroundings. My guess is it a private range from the looks of the beauty and cleanliness of the property. Nice review Ray. Out of my price range, but would love to own one, Keep the reviews coming.
yes, b&t is a bit more expensive, but the overall package is right. i also don't have the money to start a large b&t collection, although I would really like to. many things that are built here are more expensive here than in the usa, what is actually illogical, but an adjustment to the purchasing power.
but, as i have commented on many such videos for some time now, the b&t apc9 is the best weapon for inexperienced shooters to get in touch with weapons. of course, the apc9 is more expensive than products from cz or hk, but it is also better.

For something subsonic and relatively short range, I'd much rather have a larger caliber and heavier bullet, but that doesn't really fit the .300 AAC Blackout design brief, which seems primarily supersonic.

Totally agree. So many companies have good products but you can’t justify a 5000 dollar 100 meter rifle unless you’re an agency that specifically needs that. But even then that rifle is such a small niche role it can play.

I’m a B&T nut and own their gen1 APC9-SD (2 stamp) and got one of the first batch of APC10s when they became arrived in the US. (two stamp) gun too suppressed. I doubt I will even own this 300 at 5K but would for 3K. ( hint hint B&T USA if you are reading this. ) Thanks for the video. For factory ammo, I’ve always had great results with their 208gr blue label box BTW Out of my own self built 300 BLK AR.
Off topic comment, but most people don’t know they actually warranty their own magazines for the APC-9 and I’m sure other models. I’m just using the APC-9 for reference since gen1 doesn’t take Glock mags.

It would be around 500 ft⋅lbf for a 220gr slug in that barrel.
@@gbitencourt He asked out at range. Your measurement would be at the barrel measuring the muzzle velocity, and assuming approximately 1010 ft/s subsonic speeds. I would imagine at 150 meters (max effective range) you are probably losing about 40% of your energy.
@@pappaflammyboi5799 I don't think so. Even some airgun slugs retain more than 90% downrange. These Hornady plastic pointed ones I think are even better, with very low negative acceleration.

I just looked up the ballistics charts for a few different subsonic 300 BO cartridges. The energy loss is greater than 15% on all of them past 150 m.
I'd like to see a comparison (including dB levels) between the B&T 300 and 1) A suppressed 300 Blackout on an AR-15 platform and 2) A suppressed Tavor 300 Blackout. Clearly the B&T would be much lighter, but the other platforms would be much cheaper.
The Tavor and AR platform will both be noticeably louder being SA. I've shot suppressed 300 BLK and it was quiet, but not like this.
The only people who want cheap, are cheap people, if you can afford the best, you buy it. If you can't why bellyache?

@@bornodnoc1034 Semi-auto's are apparently pretty restricted in Oz, but not things like shotguns and bolt-action rifles, like the one in this video. I can guarantee you they're allowed to be owned by private individuals in Australia, in fact some of the best ultra long distance shooting channels on TH-cam are Ozzies.

@@alphaomega9255 I need better super vs subs communication here. Not saying it isn't, just wondering. The downrange Crack from supers you can't do anything with though I thought. So sound at breach and muzzle is what the suppressor is for with supers. There's only so quiet you can get with a Crack downrange.
This gun would be substantially quieter, 9 times out of 10 I think. Unless you use the same approach, like an integrally suppressed/ 9-inch barrel with the suppressor making the rest of the length IMO. I have a friend who has a bolt gun similar in design and it's very quiet with subs; with supers it's still very quiet at the muzzle, though you still hear that Crack downrange. I like this gun but I don't 5k like it. Or maybe that's what you meant, sorry if I miss read the question.

Why is this so quiet though? It's clearly an amazing machine and built with precision. $5k is a hefty pricetag for a 150-200m rifle. But I have to say if I could afford it I would probably already have one. Very cool rifle!

Great hunting rifle. I wish people will understand that this rifle with the subsonic bullet has all the power needed for deer, pig, etc. The accuracy appears to be good too. The low noise report allows for a stealthy hunting without spooking everything around. And the light weight combined with the takedown design and easy set up makes it as close to perfect as you can get. The price is very high from machining standpoint, but instead of buying 3 or 5 rifles you will have one which is all you need. In an ideal world this rifle will be extremely popular hunting rifle and would have been designed for hunting 4 legged creatures not for "bad guys" but... we are not there yet. Actually, I think that for "bad guys" this round is an overkill. A 200-grain bullet is too heavy to be 100% "stopped" in someones' head (or torso) and in a hostage situation the shooter would have limited opportunity to take a shot even if the bullet fragments almost instantly. A .223 subsonic HP bullet would be the right choice for this rifle. It would be even quieter and much less dangerous for hostages thus giving the opportunity to the shooter to take almost any chance he gets.
Not only that, but the most practical aspect for hunting with this is the fact that 99% of us hunters don’t wear ear pro for obvious reasons while hunting. So although I don’t really care about keeping my shots quiet during hunting(once I shoot one time my hunting is done for the day regardless, as a deer hunter) but not taking a 30-06 straight to the ear is FAR more appealing than anything else and exactly why suppressors should be sold just like a lower receiver is.
The accuracy? This is one of the most inaccurate .300s that I've ever heard of. It's a fail after 150 Meters.
@@graftongodofmemes A good hunter should be fine within 150 yards max. Beyond that you need a supersonic bullet to keep the trajectory flatter but you will increase the noise substantially.

Now THAT was cool. When you put the lapel mic on the camera, I watched you walk away and assumed you would be at the end of the range or by the truck because of the direction of your body. All of a sudden "thyooop" and I couldn't even tell where it came from! Took me a minute to realize you were back in the trees/stairs. Very cool, indeed!
