Just go into practice mode, set enemy on crouch follow and then spam electrics. You basicaly stand in one place all the time, and if you miss, nothing big happens. Works very well with Jin, as if he misses input, DF2 dont knock
I've never been able to ewgf, kazuya comes out in smash and I can do it constantly with him. I should have been happy but it just made me kinda angry, so I bought Tekken 7 again after having it a few years ago to try again in it 🤣🤣🤣
@@kajetanmiliankovic3183 true, but there is a reason for this. Smash uses analogue inputs as opposed to tekkens digital ones (for registering the inputs of the ewgf). This means that as soon as you enter the down-forward range this 1 frame would start to lapse rather than the moment you finished the entire motion. This is counter intuitive as you would have to time your a press slightly before rather than simultaneous with the down-forward input. A full extra frame probably still makes it considerably more lenient though.

Hi, im a fairly new player that just started picking up kazuya, i do have some experience on hwo and thus jsfr, but i'm a bit confused right now. Apparantly theres alsos something called pewfg which ommits the down input. I do realise this is useful in a lot of situations but i also want to be consistant with my practise. I use this input for jsfr, but i'm not sure if pewfg can be used for the crouch dash cancel. I want to practise the one that can transition into crouch dash cancel because i feel like it is an important skill, any insights?
I think it’s important to also learn the normal way of doing ewgf as well as with crouch dashing, only using the pewgf input can be limiting in the long run. However there are situations where the pewgf input is best. As for the crouch dash cancel, if you are referring wavedashing, the pewgf input cannot be used. The proper way to wavedash is with f,qcf,f,qcf etc.
For anyone whom might read this in the future: Just like Heihachi's Omen and Hwoarang's JFSR, you cannot do the moves out of Wavedashing, you have to dash out of the wavedash. So F, Qcf, F, F * DF + 1/2/4
I tried doing the proper crouch dash input and all that. I've been doing electrics and wavedashing in a weird way. But now my pointer finger and thumb isn't moving properly on the d-pad. I'm done for at the moment
When i was practicing the inputs I noticed that the a down forward input will come if i tilt the down arrow to the right so i’ve been wgf because the input came to early.
The best thing I can suggest is focusing on the timing more, it’s definitely hard but it’s more about consciously thinking about delaying the electric. Hope this helps
I’d honestly say it depends on how often you’re playing, but everyone learns to do EWGF and gets consistent at different rates. Personally I first learnt to do it on pad semi-consistently over 2-3 months, then when I switched to stick it took me a couple weeks. Don’t give up! It’s all about muscle memory, I know a couple people in the OCE Tekken community at least that have been using these exercises and it has helped. Best of luck 😊
Yeah I know and I only play on PS4 controller so it's harder and I can't pull it off. Any of you guys have any advice on how to do it on ps4 controller?
It really depends on the situation, practicing deep dash electric is more for a long distance electric without the use of wavedash. The flexibility of the move input means you can deep dash from almost any long distance. I would suggest trying a similar distance as demonstrated in the video, then you can try even longer distances.
Sorry I'm not exactly sure what you mean. Are you asking about doing while standing 2 out of a wavedash? I might make a video in the future, for now though you can use this video: th-cam.com/video/1h4iv-Zu2S4/w-d-xo.html
I was playing tekken 6 on my xbox360 Doing this move was way easy for me because of the button on the controller for moving forward and crouch but now on ps4 controller in tekken 7 i have to hold 2 buttons(crouch and forward) to do it And i such😐🥺
Or Bind that to 2+3. Works on everyone except Armour King(he'll go for the CD Chain grab, but f, d, df+1+4 will somehow do his Clothesline rather lol).
It's a bit shame than instead of putting electric down to a 2f windows, which would fix every issue with this move we have right now (aka PS4 / PC delay difference, broken controllers that made in way easier like the Crossup| or some wacky mod for pads that are legal) they put a heat system that lets you doing electric without just frame and call it a day. It's so disapointing and is no use for expert.
I play with arcade stick nowadays, but I started with Kazuya on pad a few years ago and I could do EWGF consistently. I might make a video showing my hands when I do it on both.
Don’t stress! Deep-dash ewgf is very similar to a regular dash ewgf, but there is more time spent in the forward input. Think of it as a delayed dash ewgf. Hope this helps!
