I loved Mortal Kombat Deception's method of teaching you the characters by having you play as each one throughout the story- including a tutorial for their move sets being part of the story. It outright showed you their long and short combos, grabs, style switching combos, and the value you would get from each style. The helped you learn the strengths and weaknesses, timing, and variety of each character while not making you go out of the way to learn something
Keep doing these vids, they’re beautiful. You are a good teacher and know what you are doing in terms of video tutorials. Only a matter of time before Aris is directing the early 2019ers to your chNnel
"It's absolutely the last thing you should figure out with your character before you start heading online, and when you're just starting out, finding the most simple, basic juggle combo is absolutely enough." 👍👍👍👍👍
I just found this video randomly, after having a hard time just figuring out how to play Tekken and it's an absolute blessing. Thanks for the good-ass content.
Thank you because of this I made it to initiate not a big thing but for a guy that hasn't played a Tekken game since 2 i think that's pretty good "virtual hug"

Dont be too discouraged. As long as you keep making quality content, viewers will find their way. Built it and they will come, trust me.
Heyy man very informative I saw your in depth tutorial video on leffen stream! Gott say I wish I knew of your channel back in the beginning of tekken 7 when I decided to learn the game. Was getting ASS BLASTED all over the place it was very painful wanted to give up in getting good in tekken 7. I hit Fujin rank with Miguel after of 7000 fights lol

2:43 I wouldnt use jacks f+2 as a poke, but I am sure you are aware of that. Jacks 2 is his jab which I would still use even though its 1 frame slower than a normal 1 jab, because f+2 is more of a panic move instead of a poke as its unsafe on block. The part in the video could be confusing because people might think they now need to use f+2 as a poke.
Great video. Highly recommend for new players. I'm definitely rewatching to get my characters better. I'm so guilty of just learning a combo and heading online hahaha

Wow, this is absolutely fantastic for new players! I've decided to learn Xiaoyu, so learning stances is going to be vital in the end. But seriously, you explain things in a way that makes it easy to learn and even start understanding. So many communities just say 'learn this, learn that, don't listen to XYZ player, just play the game' and it's infuriating when I don't know where to begin and I'm asking specifically for a place to start learning. So, finally understanding wherr to begin is great, I'll try to incorporate RDS first because it has many uses and AoP seems great, but limiting at the same time... It's something I'll want some experience before actually learning how to use. So, again, thank you for explaining in a way a newer player can learn from, instead of just saying "lol scrub, why aren't you cancelling moves yet?"
Don't worry cancelling moves is hardly a necessity. Also Xiaoyu's AoP is great for mixing people while they are down or simply its good for her okizeme. AoP also crushes highs and some mids, meaning that stance can evade moves.
@@giulia1361 While I happily agree with you and have heard similar from others, starting small is definitely the way to go. I've also just heard from a lot of long time players that you need to learn cancelling because it's a pro level skill to be able to use. My logic is: you can know the best combos, but if you can't land them or use them efficiently, you aren't learning anything. You need to learn before you know.
I know, I'm clearly stumbling around Adobe Premiere haha. It's a learning experience so I'll have to try and figure out how everyone else does it. Thanks for the very nice feedback :)
Started playing a few weeks ago (though I've played Tekken since the first game) & have been checking out vids. This one seemed useful, though I'm not sure what button to press after I have frame advantage. Maybe just a jab. Playing 3-4 fighting games & remembering as much as I can. Good summary.
