This makes so much sense. The more I learn about mitochondria the more I know how it’s taken me so long to get better from illness. I have been in PT for 2 years now due to physical and neurological issues. It has been a slow process and now I’m thinking there has been a lot of “stressors” that are or have contributed. I have known that I am definitely less resilient as I used to be but did not know how/why. This video and other info is filling in the gaps to better understand.

I have learned a lot about mitochondria since my diagnosis of mitochondrial myopathy with ataxia. I have had health issues all my life and finding out why was a relief. The disease is difficult to deal with but I am coping. I have muscle weakness in my arms and legs, I have very droopy eye lids and double vision, my hearing is affected and I am losing my voice. Am I angry? No. It is what it is. I get down sometimes, who wouldn’t. I’m coping ok and my family is very supportive .

Is there a treatment on the US to help you recover? In UK, they take 5g a day of D-Ribose, which is a sugar, and B vitamine.

Ari have you done any Mito Seahorse testing yet on yourself ? Thoughts on it if you have?
Are you familiar with Dr Frye in Phoenix? He is an autism doctor there and mitochondrial researcher. Some autistic’s can produce to much atp and that is also considered a mitochondrial disfunction. So the CDR is not just about a loss of energy? …Any thoughts to what is going on there ? Thanks

I haven't come across this. If I find time, I will look into it.
