Oh my goodness, people can be so ungrateful. He is a renowned doctor and a researcher who is giving of his time to advise people on how to improve their health and takes the time to explain the hows and whys. I have watched him being interviewed by many well known health experts , some on you tube and I am familiar with his books too. If I don’t have the time, I flag it so I can watch it later. There are a lot less important things in life and in you tube that I am sure a lot of us watch. I for one, am very grateful.

@@lanipham9992 Exactly correct, whether it is the insurance company’s quotas, or their business model, it is had to find a doctor who spends the time. What has really surprised me with the complaints are the number of people complaining. It is discouraging. I hope Dr. Li doesn’t get tired of reading the comments.

He demonstrates a keen intellect, combined with common sense . Frankly, I find it essential to understand the reasoning of any health practitioner, as to why they recommend any kind of medication, behavior or procedure . If your time is so precious, don’t watch his channel .

Nitrition is not taught in medical schools. They are taught how all the organs in the body functions and what drug they should recommend if there's a problem.
It's a shame that most doctors don't know much about healthy eating. Everyone has to be in touch with their bodies and care of it accordingly.

Dr Li, I have learned so much from your videos. I look for a longer one to listen to pm my walks or bike rides. With intermittent fasting and your advice on food, I have lost 40 lbs in 2 years, my skin glows and I look 20 years younger. Btw, I am 72 and can put work any of my kids or grandkids!! Also, I love to cook and have added in so many healthy choices for my family. I still cook for a family of 5 and we have family dinner every night. Thank you

Dr. Li, I cannot thank you enough for this video and your many newsletters (I am now a subscriber). This detailed and easy to understand 45-min video addressed many of my pressing questions on how to improve/reverse my health conditions. To be honest, it provided me much more information than what I got from a combination of endocrinologist, GI specialist and dietitians/nutritionists consultations in the past 3 months!! Dr. Li, I am so grateful to you and glad my researches lead me to you!

@@AJCsr been thinking on this for awhile now. I was recently using plastic spoons to do all my cooking at home so its a bit exaggerated but the amount of plastic I consumed in past was alarming. After 2 weeks the spoon would be half gone....where did it go....into my food. I threw out all my plastic utensils and cookware. I have a stainless steel pan and I use stainless steel fork and spoon and even spatula now. I still buy foods in plastic but I dont think that leaching amount for those foods is bad...especially not as bad as using plastic cooking and eating utensils.

Good for you dealwolf striker!! That's the formula +all organic, fresh fruits and veggies as much as possible!! My mom started out with (good, near surgical grade) stainless steel and glass cookware. Utensils too.." warning though" ...stay away from aluminium....it leaches into foods with heating...not good for your system either. Stay safe and much healthier !!!......and don't get me started on meats!!! The absolute (crap that's part of commercial animal feed)... it's sickening...corn for pen fed beef..cattle standing near waist deep in their own poo, and fed a grain that makes them sick..as they can't really digest it. Sooo they pump them full of antibiotics...and growth hormones to speed up the birth to table time. We're eating that??!! Same with chickens. Only safe meats are organic and grass fed.... Nuff said. You'll notice a difference all round within a year if you go the extra mile. You may even notice a sluggishness or uneasy stomach after a time when you give in to that fast food burger you haven't had in 6mo. The adverse reaction to overused fry oils and additives??!!

You can also cook with tea. I toast quinoa, then cook it with brewed lapsang souchang (a smoked, black tea from China). You can also make rice, miso ramen, oats, basically anything you cook with water by substituting all or part of the water with tea. It’s fun to play with the various possibilities. Soak steel cut oats in earl grey overnight and serve with cherries, cacao chips, and pistachios. Add any other favorite smoothie add-ons (chia and hemps seeds, saffron, berries). Have fun with it!

I use green tea in a terrific salad dressing: Blend 2 tbsp mugi miso, 1/4 cup warm green tea, 1/4 cup honey, 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar, 1.5 tbsp tamari, one minced small onion, 1 pressed clove of garlic, a dash of cayenne, and 1/2 cup olive oil. Sometimes I add fresh grated ginger and/or chopped cilantro before blending. You can mess around with the quantities to your taste. This also makes a good stir-fry sauce.

Our wonderful corrupt government has been allowing our food and drug administration allow the corrupt companies to ass whatever the hell they want. 3 major cigarettes companies have been losing money due to people quitting smoking and so they bought food companies. This is the reason why smoking many Americans are obese and suffer from Gout and diabetes, and high blood pressure the list is very long and evil. There isn't a product we buy that isn't poison ☠. More and more people are growing their own vegetables and at minimum have chickens and getting their meat and eggs. I think tea bothers allot of folks stomachs because many people dunk their tea bags up and down in hot water, releasing tannins. Place the tea bag in your hot water and let it rest for the minutes undisturbed. Remove the bag and your tea will be far less bitter.

Me and my ex were talking about plastic. He thought plastic breaks down. I said it only breaks up, because it is an inorganic material. Then they found the plastic in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. That was then. Now it is probably the size of the whole Midwest and then some. I believe there’s plastic in fat cells. I know that plastics, really all petroleum products destroy progesterone, which destroys the balance you need between Estrogen and Progesterone. I read this in a book about menopause and why there are so many women with high Estrogen levels. I think the book was called something like “things your doctor hasn’t told you about menopause”. Loaned it and never got it back. It speaks about the use of creams made from Mexican yams which is a natural way to get Progesterone rather than getting progestin pills. I used the cream and it helped balance my body

While I was curious enough to watch because of the title, I'm not convinced about your liquid recommendations. To begin with, I've been a tea drinker for more than 60 years (4-10 cups/day), and I consume (during summer months) vast amounts of watermelon. None of these have helped with my NAFLD (Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease) or the fact that I have vast amounts of internal scarring of my internal organs -- according to the doctor who removed my gall bladder. On the other hand, your mention of symptoms did provide a source of questioning I want to bring up with my doctor at my next appt: itchy skin and pain/tenderness in the area around my waist. While my blood tests didn't find anything wrong with my liver, I know now I want to revisit this topic with my primary. Thank you.

The video discusses the importance of the liver in detoxifying the body and the role of body fat accumulation in the liver. It explains how excess body fat can overwhelm the liver, leading to fatty liver disease. The video outlines five beverages that can help in burning body fat and reducing the impact on the liver:
    1. Green Tea: Contains EGCG that activates Brown fat thermogenesis, helping to burn harmful body fat.
    2. Coffee: Chlorogenic acid in coffee activates Brown fat thermogenesis, aiding in burning excess body fat.
    3. Tomato Juice: Lycopene in tomatoes and tomato juice can activate Brown fat thermogenesis, assisting in fat burning.
    4. Watermelon Juice: Watermelon, like tomatoes, contains lycopene and can help reduce body fat, specifically in homemade juice form.
    5. Other teas like matcha, oolong, and pu tea are also mentioned for their fat-burning properties.
The video emphasizes the importance of maintaining a healthy liver by reducing body fat through these beverages. Studies showing the effectiveness of these beverages in burning body fat and improving metabolic health are also discussed. Additionally, practical tips for consuming these beverages are provided, such as avoiding adding sugar to tea and using pure tomato juice.
