    I hate how my super-ego expectation has fuelled my inner voice which has become a critic which is somehow so similar to how my mom thinks and used to direct me. its harsh.

    So morals, ethics and our conscious exist or comprise our super ego. Could that be what religion affects?

    • @PsychExplained
      @PsychExplained  หลายเดือนก่อน

      I think you are on to something...Religion often plays a significant role in shaping an individual's moral and ethical beliefs. Religious teachings, doctrines, and practices can contribute to the formation and reinforcement of one's superego. For many people, religious beliefs serve as a framework for understanding right and wrong, providing guidance on how to behave ethically and morally in various situations.

      @PsychExplained I'll do you one better. The most consise definition of the "left" and the "right". The left are "ID" driven people, with almost no "Superego". Pleasure principled people. While the "right" are "Superego" driven people. What we are seeing is the battle between American's ID and Superego.

      @PsychExplained I'll do you one better. The most basic definition of the Left and the Right. The Left are ID driven people, guided only by the pleasure principle. The Left have no Superego and live a nialistic life. The Right are Superego driven people, or people with morals, ethics and discipline. What we are seeing in America is a battle between American's ID and Superego. Both fighting over control of cultural norms. In addition, when there is no God, then by definition, you take that mantle, at least in your life, and we make crappy gods. Niche was right. We need the Ubermensch.
