It makes sense why john won't accept
because he is married
Arthur is still in love with Marry so it also makes sense
@@acanadian80*Mary
@@acanadian80eeehh debatable, you can easily not accept her pleads of help and ignore her throughout the game
I did
Theres actually a mission where Arthur, Bill and Tilly make fun of Micah for suggesting that spot
Rare Marion W
What mission is that called? I started playing a second time from the start and I just did that mission where he suggests that spot, i need to see that one too because that spot was terrible😁
@sdabuat6213 It's during the stagecoach robbery you can do with Bill and Tilly In Chapter 3.
@@rafamatczak3001 thanks man.
@@sdabuat6213 yea its one of the choice camp missions like hunting w charles or robbing a homestead with Javier
Arthur had an accidental kid he couldn't be around to raise, and the kid and his mother were killed by robbers. I think it's understandable Arthur is careful after that
Im sure the mom didnt die
@@infogaraj6542 Eliza did die, Arthur spoke about finding 2 crosses. You can look it up if you want
I thought it was the white robes and ghost masks that did it.
@@luissera1296Arthur says that someone killed his family for 10$
@@infogaraj6542Arthur literally says that she was killed by robbers alongside their son multiple times in the story.
I think the the reason Arthur won't mess around with the ladies is because of his dead son
And he is in love with mary too
@@infogaraj6542 that too
or he juat doesnt have time because of his lifestyle
I say both Mary and the lost of his son.
@@-CarmodyI'm not sure why or what I read but you can always make time for that regardless of life style, other than monk i guess
It makes sense why the bartender would want you to respect them. If Arthur beats up Lemoyne raiders in that bar, chances are they’ll come back for revenge and attack the barkeep
Yeah, that makes sense
What doesn't make sense though is when I beat up the raiders I got a bounty 😂
@@thetwinjay2985 Again, probably to appease the Raiders so they don't start raising hell.
Also, the town is kinda racist, so they might agree with the Lemoyne raiders somewhat
Ya'll got it so wrong. Rhodes is supposed to be a town in the Deep South. People there sympathize with the Lemoyne Raiders.
With how the story goes out of its way to portray prostitution in the era as being hugely exploitative and bad, particularly as to how it tended to prey on minors, even going so far as showing close members of the camp having been put through it unwillingly, it makes absolute sense for Arthur to never agree to it - and that goes double for John.
Reddit put it well too:
u/HistoryInkc:
“[…] They use prostitution in this game as a form of survival not as a means of pleasure like in GTA or other Rockstar games. Also a lot of women in the Gang used to be young prostitutes they saved.”
“.The reason why there isn’t much prostitution in the game is because there were A LOT of young girls in the west that were prostitutes. And I am saying like 13-15 years old. Marriage [after that] was an expectation. So I think to stay accurate Rockstar tried to bring attention to the women of the story in a very personal manner, which they don’t really do that often.”
@@annaisannaing
Exactly. The time period in which this game is portrayed is a very hard time for a lot of historically suffering groups. People of color and women especially, and the game never shies away from that. It would be against the writing and messaging for our character to actively engage in making that worse. Arthur and John aren't good men but they're not as bad as the worst men in the game, even if you choose low honor actions.
Women nowadays don't _have_ to choose prostitution as often and actually can be proud of choosing it if they do. Women back then.. often had to choose it just to make ends meet because they couldn't find work anywhere else, or they couldn't find a wealthy husband to take care of them because that was what was expected of women in those times. :(
Also Arthur had an accidental kid, and 0% chance he wouldn't catch an std
Micah fucking shoots miss grimshaw
Dutch: WHO AM I MEANT TO TRUST
For real though I never understood that. They're all being jagoffs pointing guns at eachother & he shoots her out of nowhere & nobody else fires or even bats an eye? Really?
@@arcticeagle342I know that was dumb asf but then again Susan would have put holes in him and he did see her shoot Molly so he wasn’t tryna fuck around and find out
@@rampagerichard I’m more amazed by the lack of contagious gunfire honestly
Mrs grimshaw dying was just part of The Plan
The first one makes sense as they fear lemoyne raiders and dont want him to cause them trouble with him
Not only that but because they fought for their freedom and their beliefs
@@odgaming2358the lemoyne raiders? The ex confederate racists?
@@LuunieTuunie yes because they fought for their beliefs and earned great respect from the people of lemoyne. There was a lemoyne regiment and Rhodes also has a memorial for the confederate soilders.
@@odgaming2358 i wouldn’t say they fought for freedom since they believe that black folks should be locked in chains and put out in the fields to work
It doesn't make sense to me that they fear the Lemoyne raiders. They're cowards. And they don't even come back to raise hell after you drive them away multiple times.
I honestly liked the idea of turning down prostitutes made the character more likeable
John gotta wife and Arthur knows better. jus wouldn’t make any sense
@@jgonspazz Arthur had morals even with low honor.
He'll sure take a premium bath for 50 cents and get a quick scrub on the ole saddle horn
@@lakovkreativity1451 it was an option lol
Player: **Stands still in Saint Denis for 0.1 of a millisecond too long**
The Police: "And I took that personally.."
I just never understood why no one ever questioned Micah’s decisions and Dutch never thought about how Micah was always thinking about money and being a murderous psycho instead of working for the gang like Dutch tells everyone else to
I think it's because John is married and Arthur always will love Mary plus they had a love interest Eliza that was supposed to be in the game
Just thought I’d point this out.
Micheal from GTA V is married, with two kids of his own,and can still “interact” with hookers and strippers.
Eliza ended up being his baby momma, whom he had a kid with. She was murdered, along with his young son, who was a toddler.
Yeah, but at the same time, Arthur is such a "good man" while he's hanging and blowing people up, shooting guys and setting people on fire 😅
@@RRtradestarit's almost as though flawed heroes reflect reality, and can be found in tales as old as time.
@@RRtradestarNobody ever said he's a good man besides people in the Van der Linde gang, and nobody in that gang is really a good person themselves
It actually kinda makss sense that the bar owner says to be respectful towards the riders I think
I hate when im in a random town and someone drunk just push me and i push him and punch him and than shoot me like 5 times and IM trying to be good,... But when i pull MY gun and shoot one single bullet everyone start saying im doing a crime.... I MEAN LIKE IM TRYING TO BE GODDAMN GOOD!
Bro switched the AI from Indian to American ☹️
Nah, it's still based on my voice. Just the modulator was tweaked to sound different !!
@@OneMinGaming Sounds worse. That's for sure.
@@turzyn40 I was just tired of the "scam call center guy" comments !!
@@OneMinGaming now you're a bot
I liked the Indian voice better
when you commit a crime behind closed doors and the cops on the other fucking side of town are alerted somehow.
Yeah, its crazy that no one said to Micah..."what were you thinking!"
i mean it wasnt that serious to for them to act like that honestly.
1: Rhodes saloon owner is a Confederate/Lemoyne Raider sympathizer
2:Arthur is broken man, hes loved and lost too much, hes past that part of his life, he also probably knows they have all kinds of STDs and condoms werent really readily available in those days, think tjey were made from animal intestines..
3: She's afraid of Arthur, obviously has some PTSD related to him and due to the way she reacts to him, the police (especially back then) were super trigger happy and see themselves as chivalrous
4: yep..
5: pretty sure charles does take the piss about micah recommending this location
Idk, thats my opinion... let me know what you think, person reading this comment..
5: The bartender is probably fearful of the raiders and the fact they may attack him for letting arthur get away with it.
4: Rockstar either A, couldn't figure out how to add it in a way that wouldn't give them an A18+ rating or B Arthur, who knew that prostitution was more a means of survival then anything didn'twant to participate.
3: A in game reason maybe the fact the Arthur is armed and looks like an outlaw/ Ms. Downes may have reported as such. The real reason is probably laziness/ wanting to add excitement to the mission.
2: Cornwall probably paid them off and/or informed Malloy who Arthur and the others were.
1: They probably just wrote it off as being a bad idea/ never heard or saw where the orginal spot was.
18+ rating? My brother in science It's a rockstar game, and i can play however i want
@greekzeus9818 While I agree with that, unfortunately, most stores won't sell A18+ games, so Rockstar just made the smart business decisions and didn't add it.
@@fastgunnns3881 rdr2 is already 18+ and it's my choice if i buy a prostitute or not
@fastgunnns3881 it's rated M for mature which means adults, the entire game is designed for adults
@@johnnyappleswope1821 M rating doesn’t equal AO rating though. Yes, the game was made for adults but that’s not the point. The point is that lots it’s quite a bit harder to sell AO games than it is to sell M games
this is a whole different voice, did you use AI if yourself?
What happened to the voice? I quite enjoyed it honestly
he is using a modulator because of the indian scamer comments
Mrs. Downes actually ends up in armadillo.
Bro, what happened to your voice
Jerks made ethnicist remarks so he decided to change it
Bro we liked your real voice. ❤❤
What voice is this?
@@turzyn40ai
@@Deanwinchester1965no, it is him speaking, he's just using a modulator because some people were saying he sounded like a scam call centre.
@@ImAnA--hole what’s a modulator
Arthur loves Marry and already made the mistake of knocking up a random girl, tried to be as good a father as he knew to be and they both died. It completely makes sense to me that both him and John would canonically only ever say no
Yeah and after the San Andreas "coffee" job Rockstar almost shutdown by American government for illegal p""ngrafic
I understand the wide open part but in the story, agent Milton said that they picked mica up after they got back from that island. Said "he's been a good boy ever since"
One time I was in Saint Denis, at the photo place taking pictures, and outta nowhere for no reason, police come in and start shooting me and I was wanted. It was absolutely nuts and I still to this day have no Iclue what started that.
Sometimes, it can be something you did that only just got reported, or a crime you did in the area ages ago is still getting investigated.
The town might've been on lockdown?
Bro lost his accent 💀
The bartender says be respectful because those are civil war veterans
Nah they all hate them. The barkeep is just scared of them
I prefer your voice over the ai pls change back
But the last one does kinda happen. You can rob a stagecoach with Bill and Tilly you ride through this area and Arthur tells them Macia suggeststed this place when they moved and they both say there not surprised and that it was a horrible spot of they moved there.
I just love the outrage towards only being able to reject "having a good time"😂😂
The first one makes sense because the raiders are probably extorting the saloon. They probably scare the bartender and owner into turning a blind eye to their behavior in the saloon.
I found it weird how you cant return the prisoner you found that wants you to shoot their chains off I believe outside of Rhodes. I mean your literally doing the cops job for them and turning in an escaped criminal.
Arthus has his love set for Mary and John is married
I always thought Arthur rejected the sex workers out of loyalty for Mary
What no media literacy does to a mf
I LOVE that the only options are "no" and "FUCK no" 😂 I never really knew why it just seemed very on brand for Arthur 😂😂
for Mrs Downes she has history with Arthur, he is not just a random guy to her
The lemoine raiders receive kickback from a lot of the citizens of rhodes, including the bar.
they basically have a hold on the town, that’s why the sherif sits across the bar doing nothing, it makes sense.
I like that both Arthur and John only decline or reject. They both know too much about the world to accept that kind of offer from a stranger.
I think arthur still loves Mary and refuses to do anything like that especially after his old wife and child were killed over $10
The bartender is telling no more trouble probably to prevent further hostility with the raiders, but mostly just how npcs work lol
The bartender part makes perfect sense wth lol he's just saying it's a mistake to mess with those guys
For 5 the Raiders have paid off the bartender and the establishment and for the one with Cornwall he paid the sheriffs off so they would not be a witness to what is going to happen.
The bartender probably tells you to respect them out of fear
No lmao
This game is such a masterpiece that this doesn’t cross people’s minds
Lemoyne raiders are told to be respected cus a lot of them are civil war vets that fought for the south which of course includes rhoades
the raiders make sense, former southern soldier in the south, imagine that
Bros voice sounds wrong
Doesn't make sense that Cornwall and Agent Milton somehow disappears after you encounter them
Shows theyre too afraid to get their hands dirty
@@Gabriel-ki7uj Cornwall? Sure but Milton nah, It is implied that agent milton pretty much participated in the blackwater heist and killed a member of the van der linde before the start of the game.
The cops in Saint Denis loved "using" Mrs Downes so much, that they just had to give her some extra protection😂🚔👙
I already see two horses flying on my rdr 2 world
Bill and Charles both talk about how stupid it would have been to camp in the spot that Micah suggested. Bill says how bad a spot it is and that’s he’s ‘not surprised’ that Micah suggested it.
5. The bartender is afraid of disrespecting the Lemoyne Raiders in front of them in fear that they'll kill him.
4. Neither Arthur nor John would accept their offer. Arthur has had his first relationship ended with his partner and son's death, and his second ended because of his outlaw life, but he still has feelings for Mary. John wouldn't accept because he's married to Abigail, and has a son with her, and would eventually go on to have a daughter with her who dies.
3. Mrs Downes called for a lawman because she blames Arthur for killing her husband, they last time they met, she was repaying the loan shark money that ended up killing her husband and forcing her and her son to move out of their ranch.
2. This is most likely just a developer oversight, or because they didn't want you to be wanted while shooting the enemies as they pop up. Lawmen do show up after John, Dutch and Strauss ride off, though.
1.it's not seen. people are already suspicious of Micah at this time, but we just don't see berating for this suggestion.
im suprised you didnt mention looting dead bodies deep in the wilderness somehow losing honor, and having every bird in the sky be a witness that alerts the nearest law enforcement immediately.
Also, if you give money to the poor you“disturbed the peace “and you get arrested for that
I think why the bartender says be respectful is cause he fears them
5. It makes sense because probably Rhodes fear Lemoyne Raiders.
The first one lemoyne raiders are feared in the state of lemoyne
I like that Arthur was kind of a gentleman(in some instances lol) tbh like declining the ladies at the bar to me was his was of still being dedicated to Mary 😭🥺
What's with the voice man!?
The reason the bartender says that is because he is afraid of them qnd the reason Cornwall isnt attacked is because he is an oil man and has power thats something that happens in modern day too like in nyc and malloy also knows he has oil feild near valentine.
That explains why Micah didn’t want to go to the other camp
The reason why Arthur was supposed to be respectful is because the lemoyn raiders were actually loke donors to lemoyn or summ like that
3 or whatever it was, it’s because he runs, and continues to run
Bro turned from Indian to American 💀
The first one makes fine sense -- the bartender is intimidated by that gang, and Arthur won't always be around to protect the saloon.
The second one makes narrative sense -- Arthur simply isn't the sort to be interested in prostitutes. You don't get the option because Arthur himself would never be interested, regardless of low or high 'honor.'
In fact, Arthur's disdain for prostitutes is made clear very early in Chapter 2, when he openly mocks the prostitutes at the Valentine saloon in Javier's mission there.
The rest of the list is fine.
He doesn’t really mock the saloon prostitutes because of his disdain, he intentionally insults them because Javier and Charles were supposed to wait on him for a job if im not mistaken and he finds them getting drunk and hanging out with ladies, so he sort of exercises power on them.
I think he just understands that paid sex is involuntary and either empathises with the woman or just doesn’t want another reminder that he is unwanted if not for his money
Actually there’s a optional robbery with bill where Arthur and bill rides through there and Arthur mentions that being the original spot and bill asks what idiot said it would be good
arthur doesn't say yes because he still loves Mary Beth
And the sheriff just does absolutely nothing
arthur respects women and john is taken, makes sense why they removed it
Why do you sound so different, I have watched so many of your vids so it was really off putting
When you do the mission to find a new camp post Micah suggested , it´s Arthur and Charles who say that is a weird and exposed to rain and attacks , and when Charles says this to Arthur complaining about who was this idea he just says , "I think Micah´s" , they both know he was just planning something or was dumb asf
If you come out from behind the wagon they stop missing
How John goes to Ft Mercer in RDR2 with no issue ,but in RDR1 , needs a guide and then assistance which takes up a great deal of the game finding the Fort and getting in.
Ngl, Arthur, especially low honor Arthur would 100% sleep around
A few times you can beat a guy to death in full view of many people and they just carry on like nothing happened but then if you loot the body they run to the cops. That made me laugh.
Up until Arthur was aware of his condition he still seemed to hold out hope for a settled life with Mary so tonally it makes sense and John is married he even mentions so to the bath maids
The first on is correct because we see that the raiders have something to do with the supply of alcohol to that bar
Nah I think the bartender grew up listening to the "zero tolerance" policy 😭
bro was downbad for number 2
Why voice
They dont accept because theyre good and honest men
Self defense causing a wanted bounty made me rage every time
It's because they also had a go with Downes and she's their fav lady
They didn’t question him about beaver hollow either and they were surrounded by the (it’s over Anakin, I have) high ground.
they use lethal force because you run away from them
Ok the ai voice over is really obvious
imagine we can give arthur a good time like in Gta 5
I find it funny how the most pompous, southeastern and rich speaking englishmen are named after the English county that has the most poor, native farmers with a different accent
Honestly, I just don’t think it’s like Arthur’s character to fool around needlessly, he seems much more interested in a relationship then just sex.
Mary Beth even points out that Arthur is romantic or understands romance, I think it fits his whole big tough guy act but he’s just a gentle dude with a heart of gold underneath.
That last on from Micah, he HAD to have told of that way before or Dutch lied, because even if u don't do Micah's mission and he hasn't returned to camp Dutch will always say that Micah told him about the place, which makes it very weird.
Nobody mentions that Arthur can get shot like 7 times without breaking stride
The accent has changed a lot dude 😂
yeah it makes no sense that lemonye raiders would be hostile. they seemed like such a peaceful people.
Sir a guy bumped into a person by accident
Sheriff: “time to put him down” *clicks rifleg
Micah did not eat until after guarma it’s even said in the game
The real reason people like and respect the lemoyne raiders are because they fought for their beliefs and freedom
“Planned feature”💀
