Smackdown Here Comes The Pain. It’s still talked about among wrestling fans but not by video game collectors. Super underrated wrestling game that still holds up today.
@@retrorick lol no worries. It just made me realize how old of a show it is now. But its definitely worth watching if your able to keep in mind its a kids show from 2004. Its a classic from that era.
I will forever defend Snoopy Vs. The Red Barron on ps2. That was the first game I had played ever I think at my uncles house and loved it. The graphics even hold up outstandingly well to this day. To play that game again was the whole reason I bought my ps2 in March of this year. Took me a few months to find it though. Pretty obscure game to find in the wild but it can easily be had for around $15.
Love the content , keep it coming. One of my favorite games on the PlayStation 2 everyone should check out is Scarface , it starts off where the movie left off and you get to survive the ambush in the mansion and go after Sosa
People don't talk about Battle For Bikini much? I hear about it all the time when it comes to licensed games. It's often praised as one of the best video games based on a TV series and it even got a remake that was released earlier this year.
One of my favorite series is a PlayStation series and that’s the Hot Shot golf games. Put a lot of time into 3 and Fore. Let’s give Hot Shots more love
Tokyo Extreme Racer Zero and TER Three. To my knowledge these are the only two the brought over here. Still they are amazing racing games and were so much fun.
2 of my most played PS2 games when I was younger were Disney Extreme Skate Adventure and Ty the Tasmanian Tiger and I love them so much. I feel like nobody ever talks about either of them nearly as much as they should.
Ha ha ha--that Sneak King game was freaking hilarious--but so creepy in first person mode where you can hear the King breathing. Viewtiful Joe is fantastic. And I always push the Maximo games on PS2--they so need to revisit that franchise. Oh man, soooo love seeing those NES boxes--that is awesome! The artwork, for the boxes and then in the manuals, is so good and often lost to time.
Man, I used to have several Game Xchanges near me but they unfortunately all went out of business. Some of my best finds were there... Great video as always Rick. Always looking forward to the next one.
This channel has made me check out my local thrift stores more regularly hoping find some gems. I never usually find anything, but i recently found a sealed metallica guitar hero for xb 360. Bought for $4, sold for $60. Thanks Rick!
A very underrated PS2 game that is the staple video game from my childhood is Red Faction. It is a FPS placed on Mars. It is very cheap and a ton of fun! Keep on hunting and the $10 game collection has gotten insane, I have been here since day one for it and I'm really impressed with how massive it is. Keep up the great work !
PS2 games you don't here enough about: Graphiti Kingdom, Magic Pengel, Disaster Report, Mr. Mosquito. Trog for NES is an awesome game! I played that for months. I love when the big Tyrannosaurus cut loose and chased the cavemen
That boxed stuff is real nice. I love when stores have good prices. It makes it so much easier to spend money. Ps2 gems would be Mark Echo's getting up. Pretty not as bad as you would think and really captures a lot of the tagging culture. One that I really like is Castle Shikgami 2. Fun shooter, that can be really tough.
As being a big fan of the Worms games, Worm 3D and Worms 4: Mayhem are my favourite PS2 overlooked games. I was so suprised it still existed when i saw it in the shop back in the day! And they are very good and great co-op fun!
I loved the Katamari Damacy games on PS2! They're frantic action/puzzle games where you roll a ball around picking things up with a very cultural Japanese aesthetic.
Love picking up boxed games especially on the cheap. It's the artwork, its the feeling in your hand and that nostalgia in your heart. I always thing man that's what I was looking at when I was 8 dreaming about what that game might be.
I loved the twisted metal games on ps2, can't remember which numbers were on that system but went over to a friend's and meleed until I had to go home for dinner, good times
I just recently picked up Rhythm Heaven at a local Retro game store for $20. Best deal I got in a retro game store since most of my stores keep up to date on pricing for loose and complete. Sad reality for me but was surprised to see that they never changed the price on Rhythm Heaven.
Compete in box games are definitely the easy I like to go. Some of the games I've gone after I've gone cart only because of the amount of money. The artwork on a box will definitely get my attention. Other than nostalgia, it's the same reason I jumped down the vhs and laserdisc rabbit holes 🤣. Awesome job with the vid Rick! 👍
one game that is a must play on the ps2 is contra shattered soldier! I love how they incorporate alot of the bosses from the previous games and it has that 3d element added to bring contra to another level!
I paid 10 for an OG xbox at goodwill, wish I still had my original but the goodwill one works and I modded it using coin ops which literally puts thousands of retro games on it, I love it! Also I got some of the other burger king games at goodwill, 1 of them was pretty fun.
One PS1-PS2 Game series you should check out is the Suikoden games, A lot of people (at least from where I'm from) don't seem to know about the series and it definitely deserves a lot more recognition
I have a good question for you, I'm not sure if u have ever shared this before in any of ur videos but what is ur secret to removing stickers off of boxes or game cases? Especially those pesky goodwill stickers. I noticed price stickers on those NES boxes and I'm curious how u would remove them to sell on eBay.
I grew up on gamecube and Wii so I nevery really enjoyed the PS2 but I play games from it on my backwards compatible PS3. I mostly play the common stuff like God of War but I also enjoy Battlefront 1 and 2 and one of the lesser talked about star wars games, Jedi Outcast. Great game
Great stuff!! Great boxed nes score!! Hey @Retro Rick you ever start another channel about buying n selling golf equipment let me know. Tons of money there that a lot of ppl have no clue about except serious golfers. Badass u had a golf scholarship in college. Golf is my favorite sport to play since my late teens. U can play it till ur 90!!
Got my first big break today at the local flea market. Wasn't even going to buy anything. Guy had couple ps2 games at his stall and one gamecube case in the mix. Fifa 06. I was just kinda flipping through them idlely. I happened to open the gamecube case and there was a gameboy player disc in there. Sold it to me for $2! I'm still coming off that adrenalin high.
The Onimusha series had me hooked, never heard much about it or ppl talking about it back then, I just happened to rent it from blockbuster and man such an awesome game,I ended up beating one,two and three. I bought the fourth one but never sat down and got into it like the others
My game store does this as well one time they had a bunch of n64 accessories all in the box n64 cleaning kit, expansion pack, controllers. It was crazy
Taiko Drum Master is a super cool easy to pick up rythm game on the Ps2! Well known in Japan not that much in the west. I always brought it at family parties picked everyone's curiosity and every cousins, aunts and uncles played for at least one song!
Ahh Game-X-Change, I love their pricing system. I've nabbed SO many CIB games for loose prices from them, the manager is holding a CIB Shin Megami Tensei IV for me, worth over $60, they're selling it for $22, can't beat it!
Today I had this nostalgic moment when I saw something about the psp system it made me think when my friend always used to bring it it was so cool and now I’m buying one
My local goodwills dont sell video games in store anymore. They send them all to one location and sell them in lots on ebay. They literally take all the mario games on Wii and sell them in lots of 50, then other games are thrown into a massive lot.
I've always been a complete in box kinda person. My dad always told me to take care of my stuff, which is probably why most of my N64 games from childhood still are complete lol. Even now, if I see people with collections of disc based games in a stack with no case I cringe, it hurts my heart. Cartridge games not in box isn't so bad.
Chu Chu Rocket on Dreamcast would be my initial pick for a hidden gem, although I'm sure I'll come up with something better. I've mentioned it before with the platformer question, but the Bonk games on TurboGrafx 16 are definitely hidden gems.

4:50 Actually the song that plays during the intro credits is by Jack White and who doesnt love When In Rome's The Promise which plays during the outro credits.
Battle For Bikini Bottom was a favourite growing up. Other solid titles I don't hear about often are Star Wars Battlefront 2, Destroy All Humans, and a guilty pleasure of mine: early Harry Potter games (3 being my favourite).
OMG, how were all those CIB NES games sooooo cheap? I have a feeling someone that was doing the pricing that day was just looking up the loose price and slapping it on the box. Amazing score Rick!!! One of my favorite PS2 games was Dragon Quest VIII. Not sure if its really a hidden gem, but it is an amazing game!!! Test Drive Off-Road Wide Open was a lot of fun too.
Underrated PS2 games for me will have to be one that most people dont talk about from my favorite series ever, Suikoden Tactics. It's no Final Fantasy Tactics but it's decent. The Xenosaga series is a great RPG to get into as well. Zone of the Enders, the first one and 2nd one, are great mech battle games from creator of Metal Gear Solid.
I think manhunt is a pretty underrated ps2 game my favorite was manhunt 2 both are great games tho btw I’m super jealous you found a complete season of Danny phantom 😆 I wish I would’ve found that in my local goodwill
Blood omen 2 was one of my favorites on ps2. I would say it's a hidden gem that was a vampire game. My all time favorite ps2 game is Area 51. Not the blacksite you found but the first one
Dang I need to come visit that store, can’t find any boxed video games down here. Currently just have Battletoads cib and the cartridge freezes on me.nice finds. Keep it up man.
Nice additions. Underrated games of mine are definitely the Deception series on ps1, trapt on ps2 and there are later ones as well. I love the series but few people know about them. They are not cheap generally.
Vhs to keep an eye out for, my favorite genre horror! These are going for a good chunk of change. Not everything but if you see anything, look it up. Friday the 13th, Halloween, a nightmare on elm st ect. Also, horror laserdisc go for a bunch as well. 👍
Actually people talk about Battle for Bikini Bottom all the time. It just got a remake this year lol
ha my bad! Thanks for watching
Smackdown Here Comes The Pain. It’s still talked about among wrestling fans but not by video game collectors. Super underrated wrestling game that still holds up today.

Was at the top of my list got a solid complete back in my collection.

Psi ops Mindgate conspiracy was one of my top 5 PS2 games. Plus that intro song by Cold? BANGER
Thanks for the regular uploads👍
Thanks again for brightening my Monday! The fact that people don’t talk about the Xenosaga trilogy for the PS2 is criminal.
