Im up to 500 games, countless consoles, but my best find have been a open 1 time snes completely intact in box all inserts and a ps1 7501 complete in the box open and played once. I've been filming. You want a great pickup? I go to this one GameStop next to my work all the time. I found a copy of Super Mario Land for the Game Boy in one of their cases in the back. I had to have it, and I used some coupons that were about to expire and got the game for like $5. I don't know who is giving Game Boy games to this GameStop, but I thank them for it!

Two things: 1. Haven’t found anything lately, but been selling off my GameCube collection because I got a GC Loader. 2. My favorite game in that lot definitely is Diddy Kong racing...played that so much more than MK64, but I do love MK64 too. Great video too and glad you made it back ok!
I havent had too many good game finds recently but a few months ago I had my best finds ever back to back. I went to a pawn shop and picked up 3 comics for $25 after being clearanced down from $100. It was Giant Size Xmen #1, werewolf by night #32(first app moon night), and daredevil #132(first app bullseye). Im shocked that those books were still sitting there after a whole year considering that they are worth at least $2000 graded. The next day at goodwill I found Rtype Delta, Castlevania SOTN, and street fighter alpha 3 for .99 a piece. I also got a bunch of other good games there but those were the highlights in the lot.

In September I found megman x collection for the ps2 at a value village. Then at my favourite game store, microplay, i got soul caulibur 3, medal of honor vangaurd, resident evil 4 and spongebob revenge of the flying dutchman. Those were my best recent game pickups.
Ocarina of time def my fav that you picked up. My fav n64 game ever. I feel so nostalgic every time I see a copy. Gonna get my hands on one soon even if I have to pay full price!
At my local Goodwill, they don’t sell video games. As for the other stores, I have found a lot of Nintendo Wii and Nintendo DS games, especially from The Salvation Army thrift store and other thrift stores as well!

In the past week, I traded a CR1616 battery for CIB Avatar Into the Inferno, Sonic Riders Zero Gravity, and Tony Hawk American Wasteland (all PS2). A couple months ago I picked up an original red Game Gear complete with some new sealed games, Japanese exclusives, and a bunch of other miscellaneous games. Thanks for introducing me to this new hobby!
Take cartridges apart for a careful cleaning, and reassemble them. Then stuff them in a ziploc bag with a handful of dryer sheets for a week or two. That should take care of the smoker smell.
That Tony Hawk game reminds me of garage sailing for games back in the day, it was not uncommon for me to find new release movies for a few bucks. That was even back the the day when Blockbuster and Movie gallery were still around. It was almost like people were just buying DVD's to watch once.
I recently found a copy of Boom Blox (Wii) for a $1 at a video game that was going out of business. It isn’t worth a lot but it’s a fun game I don’t hear people talk about much
I found a lot of 4 Panasonic 3do games at a thrift store for $0.65. It was the start of the $10 game challenge for my Xbox Series X that I am picking up tomorrow. Can't wait. You can easily replace the wobbling N64 stick. Replacements are available for cheap money on eBay. Please DONT spray paint the grey controller. You can unscrew the shell, clean it thoroughly with soapy water and then bleach with H2O2. It‘ll look like new! Cheers, Tobi
The yellowed controller looks to only have a discolored front, so a thorough clean and retrobrighting might restore it. If the yellowing was due to smoking, the back would be affected too. Also, to get tobacco smell off of plastic, soak it in vinegar for a few days and top that off with a lowest temp cycle in the dish washer. Source: second hand Lego. (Not recommended for stickered parts though, if you wanna keep those labels... 😕)

The fact that Rumble Roses was at a Salvation Army is pretty damn funny to me 😂 and nba street my man! That game has so much nostalgia for me. Brink was a fun game and I enjoyed that movie. That Ken Griffey jr game practically stays in my 64 for half the year lol
Facebook Marketplace is truly a warzone. I found a SNES console and games with a Chrono Trigger for $60 and offered $70. Even though I'm usually first to message for these deals (because I made an app that scrapes Facebook Marketplace), I offered to etransfer $70 right away if they could hold it for me. I etransfered the $70, but ended up having to pay $50 more because the seller got several offers of $200+. I was bummed that I had to pay more even though we had already agreed to the $70 that I etransfered, but $120 is still a great deal for an SNES bundle with 11 good games and a Chrono Trigger. (Canadian prices btw)
The Goodwill near me has been cleaned out as of lately. I was able to trade in some shovelware Wii games the other day and picked up Short Order/Eggsplode on the NES. Game says it uses the power pad, so looking forward to pulling it out and trying it.
4:46 I traveled to a local Goodwill just for the hell of it, and sitting in the glass case was Myst, not just one game but the whole master collection which has the full trilogy. It was mint like no one played it. Got it for .99 cents. The cashier charged me for CD prices not video games.
My best game pickup was at a Goodwil one day a while back, I found Mario Kart Double Dash, Zelda Twilight Princess for Wii, and Sonic Mega Collection for gamecube. And like 8 others that weren't as great. It was a great day!
If the stick on that gross yellow controller is good, you could swap the internals with the red controller and have a good red controller and a donor controller. Great video Rick!
Man in MN, that "Sketchy" story from Marketplace is the norm for me. I think out of all the good deals I've found on vintage games maybe 2 of them didn't require me to meet at a house. And I've run into the "Gold" gray controller/rumble/transfer pack a couple of times.
Last week I found the original black label Silent Hill on the Playstation for $1.99. Disc is in immaculate condition, as is the manual, very little blemishes on case. A game shop just down the road has a copy in their showcase for a whopping $106. Not a bad find!
I haven't been out to hunt much, but a bit ago I got a lot of some good N64 games with their manuals all for less of their average value online! Got Pokemon Snap, Ocarina of Time, and Mario Party like that!
Just scored a great deal this weekend: Mario Kart Wii, Wii Sports Resort and Wii Fit for $10 TOTAL!!!! Although the Wii Fit has little values, I turned the other two around for $30 a piece.

Well I think one of my best pickups recently was a ps1 lot. 80 euros for a playstation 1, 2 controllers, 2 memory cards, tomb raider 1, tomb raider 2, tomb raider chronicles, tomb raider the last revelation, final fantasy 8 and 9, dead or alive 1, resident evil 1, grand turismo 1 and lastly tomb raider angel of darkness for the ps2. That lot brought me a lot of nostalgia for one of the systems i played the most during my childhood
MAG is an online-only game and the servers have been shut off I believe, so it pretty much is a paper weight. So you dodged a bullet on that one... When it comes to that Facebook marketplace deal, you are braver then I my friend. That was some Deliverance stuff right there... haha. I laughed so hard when you gloved up to do the pickup video, bust out the Clorox wipes. I came across a Simpsons Hit and Run on Gamecube just this evening for $4 at goodwill. That's probably my best pickup in the last week. Enjoyed the episode as always, have a great week!!!
Unfortunately for me, Goodwills in my area charge Price Charting Prices for games and the weather now is changing making yard sales and garage sales vanish. So I try to pay attention to Facebook but most people seem to know what games are worth these days. So my hunting has stalled for the most part until spring.
This weekend, stopped in a secondhand store that almost never has anything good. Found minty, complete copies of Ys I & II Premium and Ys Oath Premium (PSP) for about $20 each. Together they're easily worth over $300... Couldn't believe it.

I got Tetris party Deluxe for the Wii and Mario super sluggers for $2 each at a garage sale. Mario super sluggers is pretty good but Tetris party is one of my new favorite party games to play with friends.
The best deal I’ve gotten was $2 for darkwatch on PS2 at my local thrift store. I find it crazy because I’m 9 days away from being able to drive legally and I don’t have a job because TH-cam is more important! I believe darkwatch is worth... $36 now?
Last good pickup i got was a Wii lot on fb marketplace for $70 and the value was over $200. It was listed for a few hours which surprised me but listing was in spanish so i messaged them in spanish and i think that was the deciding factor. My spanish has honestly helped me out quite a bit while game hunting!
Nothing really good lately but the best thing i found was a Japanese import of Star Wars for Famicom. I paid 50 for it CIB because I knew it was rare and I'm a Superfan of Star Wars. I went home and saw it had just sold for almost 300 dollars on eBay more than 5 times in the past few days!
My finds have dried up a little bit, but I've got a thrift store connection I hit up about every other week. Last thing they brought me was a stack of 3ds/ds stuff and wii stuff. I finally got a 2ds and a copy of mario party 8. I had been looking for that forever. I hate finds like that n64 lol. I don't wanna clean it. Super dirty, but a great find!
There’s a TH-cam channel that restores yellowed Nintendo products called ODD TINKERING. Super satisfying to watch and does an excellent job! Just another option for you instead of spray painting the controller!
My most recent find that was a good haul was. My video rental store went out of business, and was selling games on the cheap. I picked up lots of switch games and wii u games.
I’m not finding many games these days... but I did pick up a Wii with 2 remotes. 2 nunchucks and 2 classic controllers for $25 and a PS2 fat with 2 controllers tested for $40 at my local thrift store. Knew the Wii was a score and think I did ok on the PS2 as well. I’ve been seeing them at that price and higher online.

My best game haul as of late was at Value Village where I got 7 PS2 games for $4 cad each. Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance, Burnout 3 Takedown, God of War, GTA Vice City, Myst 3 Exile, Ratchet & Clank and Soul Calibur II.
Picked up an entire ps2 collection, an atari 7800, Sega Genesis games, and super nintendo games in a trade. A sealed copy of persona 3 fes was in there's and controller to a rare bally astrocade was in there. That controller isn't worth much but I didn't even know bally made a system till trying to research it.
One day at lunch last month, I found 4 n64 games sitting at the thrift (they werent there when I walked in but got sat out while I was looking around) Lego Racers,Wave Race,Mickey Speedway and Namco Museum - $3 apiece... then either later that week or early the next week I found a n64 in an n64 branded carrying case, one controller, a memory pak & had the expansion pak in it for $40 total at the same thrift store. I literally stepped in there when I left work and only had $10 min due to having to pick up my kids. It was in the front case.
Great pickups man! I’ve had really good success using salon 40 creme under a UV light. I just restored two of my NES max controllers and they look like they just came out of the box I highly recommend giving that a try sir. On to the next!
My most recent Facebook marketplace find was one to remember. Paid $40 for everything and got 10 complete in box sega Genesis game valued at $178. This included: Golden Axe, Alex Kidd in the Enchanted Castle, Altered Beast, Power Monger, Last Battle, Sonic the Hedgehog, World Championship Soccer, Choplifter, Super Volleyball and Coach K College Basketball. Not bad🤙🏼
I did a GameStop buy 2 used and get 2 free last month. Right now I’m waiting on some stuff I have on eBay to sell. To get funds for game hunting. I’ve been mostly on shop goodwill for my game hunting.
I bought 3 video game and console lots from an online auction for a great price and there was a sealed need for speed PS2 game, sold on ebay for $119, and a Simpsons Xbox game I sold for $42.

I’d probably swap sticks from the “smoke gold” controller to the red one, then sell the red one as good and the other as “for parts”.
I would try retrobriting the yellow one, might work and H2O2 isn't that expensive.

I found a boxed N64 last week for $20 Aussie as it wasn’t working, pulled it apart, cleaned it, and it works a charm! Was pretty chuffed!
Man in MN, that "Sketchy" story from Marketplace is the norm for me. I think out of all the good deals I've found on vintage games maybe 2 of them didn't require me to meet at a house. And I've run into the "Gold" gray controller/rumble/transfer pack a couple of times.

Last week I found the original black label Silent Hill on the Playstation for $1.99. Disc is in immaculate condition, as is the manual, very little blemishes on case.
A game shop just down the road has a copy in their showcase for a whopping $106. Not a bad find!

If you can get concentrated peroxide (beauty supplies stores ) you can use that fix the stains on plastic like that and the discolor of old plastic
I haven't been out to hunt much, but a bit ago I got a lot of some good N64 games with their manuals all for less of their average value online! Got Pokemon Snap, Ocarina of Time, and Mario Party like that!

Just scored a great deal this weekend: Mario Kart Wii, Wii Sports Resort and Wii Fit for $10 TOTAL!!!! Although the Wii Fit has little values, I turned the other two around for $30 a piece.

I picked up a copy of Futurama for PS2 for $5 at a pawn shop it sold on eBay for $146.50! That was a great pickup I had got. I really enjoy your videos man.
Well I think one of my best pickups recently was a ps1 lot. 80 euros for a playstation 1, 2 controllers, 2 memory cards, tomb raider 1, tomb raider 2, tomb raider chronicles, tomb raider the last revelation, final fantasy 8 and 9, dead or alive 1, resident evil 1, grand turismo 1 and lastly tomb raider angel of darkness for the ps2. That lot brought me a lot of nostalgia for one of the systems i played the most during my childhood
Spec ops the line is easily one of my absolute favorite third person military shooters. Absolutely amazing!
MAG is an online-only game and the servers have been shut off I believe, so it pretty much is a paper weight. So you dodged a bullet on that one... When it comes to that Facebook marketplace deal, you are braver then I my friend. That was some Deliverance stuff right there... haha. I laughed so hard when you gloved up to do the pickup video, bust out the Clorox wipes. I came across a Simpsons Hit and Run on Gamecube just this evening for $4 at goodwill. Unfortunately for me, Goodwills in my area charge Price Charting Prices for games and the weather now is changing making yard sales and garage sales vanish. So I try to pay attention to Facebook but most people seem to know what games are worth these days. So my hunting has stalled for the most part until spring.
This weekend, stopped in a secondhand store that almost never has anything good. Found minty, complete copies of Ys I & II Premium and Ys Oath Premium (PSP) for about $20 each. Together they're easily worth over $300... Couldn't believe it.

I got Tetris party Deluxe for the Wii and Mario super sluggers for $2 each at a garage sale. Mario super sluggers is pretty good but Tetris party is one of my new favorite party games to play with friends.
The best deal I’ve gotten was $2 for darkwatch on PS2 at my local thrift store. I find it crazy because I’m 9 days away from being able to drive legally and I don’t have a job because TH-cam is more important! I believe darkwatch is worth... $36 now?
Last good pickup i got was a Wii lot on fb marketplace for $70 and the value was over $200. It was listed for a few hours which surprised me but listing was in spanish so i messaged them in spanish and i think that was the deciding factor. My spanish has honestly helped me out quite a bit while game hunting!
Nothing really good lately but the best thing i found was a Japanese import of Star Wars for Famicom. I paid 50 for it CIB because I knew it was rare and I'm a Superfan of Star Wars. I went home and saw it had just sold for almost 300 dollars on eBay more than 5 times in the past few days!

My finds have dried up a little bit, but I've got a thrift store connection I hit up about every other week. Last thing they brought me was a stack of 3ds/ds stuff and wii stuff. I finally got a 2ds and a copy of mario party 8. I had been looking for that forever. I hate finds like that n64 lol. I don't wanna clean it. Super dirty, but a great find!
There’s a TH-cam channel that restores yellowed Nintendo products called ODD TINKERING. Super satisfying to watch and does an excellent job! Just another option for you instead of spray painting the controller!
My most recent find that was a good haul was. My video rental store went out of business, and was selling games on the cheap. I picked up lots of switch games and wii u games.
I’m not finding many games these days... but I did pick up a Wii with 2 remotes. 2 nunchucks and 2 classic controllers for $25 and a PS2 fat with 2 controllers tested for $40 at my local thrift store. Knew the Wii was a score and think I did ok on the PS2 as well. I’ve been seeing them at that price and higher online.
Some of the best deals I have ever gotten have been from asking at yard sales and extremely sketchy places and people

My best game haul as of late was at Value Village where I got 7 PS2 games for $4 cad each. Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance, Burnout 3 Takedown, God of War, GTA Vice City, Myst 3 Exile, Ratchet & Clank and Soul Calibur II.

I found ikaruga for the GameCube at goodwill for 4 dollars!! Almost missed it because it was between a bunch of movies.
Picked up an entire ps2 collection, an atari 7800, Sega Genesis games, and super nintendo games in a trade. A sealed copy of persona 3 fes was in there's and controller to a rare bally astrocade was in there. That controller isn't worth much but I didn't even know bally made a system till trying to research it.
One day at lunch last month, I found 4 n64 games sitting at the thrift (they werent there when I walked in but got sat out while I was looking around) Lego Racers,Wave Race,Mickey Speedway and Namco Museum - $3 apiece... then either later that week or early the next week I found a n64 in an n64 branded carrying case, one controller, a memory pak & had the expansion pak in it for $40 total at the same thrift store. I literally stepped in there when I left work and only had $10 min due to having to pick up my kids. It was in the front case.
Great pickups man! I’ve had really good success using salon 40 creme under a UV light. I just restored two of my NES max controllers and they look like they just came out of the box I highly recommend giving that a try sir. On to the next!

My most recent Facebook marketplace find was one to remember. Paid $40 for everything and got 10 complete in box sega Genesis game valued at $178. This included: Golden Axe, Alex Kidd in the Enchanted Castle, Altered Beast, Power Monger, Last Battle, Sonic the Hedgehog, World Championship Soccer, Choplifter, Super Volleyball and Coach K College Basketball. Not bad🤙🏼
I did a GameStop buy 2 used and get 2 free last month. Right now I’m waiting on some stuff I have on eBay to sell. To get funds for game hunting. I’ve been mostly on shop goodwill for my game hunting.
I bought 3 video game and console lots from an online auction for a great price and there was a sealed need for speed PS2 game, sold on ebay for $119, and a Simpsons Xbox game I sold for $42.
