What is never mentioned, is that Goodwill works differently from district to district, and state to state. For exmple, my Goodwills here in northern indiana are part of the Michiana Goodwill network. They take ANYTHING of value that comes in and sell it through online channels like Ebay and Amazon. I've spoken to workers there who confirmed it to me. So for your Goodwill stores, they must have really dumb leadership to not be looking up these expensive games and DVD when they come in. Their loss is your gain I guess, but your situation is not typical of most of our situations. You're just really lucky to live where you live.
I never see anything good locally I gave up hunting for video games. I've been there like 10-15 times. I guess new York goodwill does ship a lot to ebay.
Our Goodwills all ship their games to a regional DC, unfortunately. But I've been able to snag New SMB Wii, Super Paper Mario, Yoshi's Woolly World, and SMB 3D World for $20 from FB Marketplace. Also got a Slim PS2, God of War and Suikoden IV for $25. There are deals to be found!

Nice! I haven’t found good games lately, but I’m finding a lot of good vintage toys. Just did a FB marketplace deal for a micro machines lot that’s worth around $300+, I paid $25. The deals are out there! Like you said, right place at the right time.
My gosh when I saw Ski Free it took me back. I have not seen or thought of that game in over twenty years. So many good 90s computer games but I really loved playing Wolfenstein 3D back in the day.
Your Goodwill finds are awesome... The ones in my area have not had much in a month or 2. My favorite computer game was the putt putt game on the Candystand website. We used to play that all the time in our high school computer class. Good times.
My elementary school in the 90s had Oregon Trail, Zoombinies, Dr. Healthenstein's Body Fun, and of course Mavis Beacon Typing Teacher. Hope that gave you a rush of nostalgia!

That was a mighty goodwill haul! Too bad about that N64 though man, I felt that my last trip to goodwill. I walked up to the dvd's/games section and there was already a guy there with a stack of games and still digging lol. You win some and lose some I guess though. My favorite 90's PC memories are of playing Diablo 1. I put waaaayyyyyy to many hours into that game haha!
A game I loved and played all the time in the 90's was a space game called Warpath. It was pretty simple, smaller map but the battle was still fun and you could invest in other planets to get more people to colonize even more planets to build your empire (basically to have more stores around to buy more weapons lol) I honestly can't even remember if it was a free game or what though, I just remember playing it all the time.
Mega Race graphics was blowing my mind - until I realized that it is pre rendered videos. It’s basically a FMV game. The 90s PC game I played the most was Dune 2, the father of command & conquer. Cheers, Tobi
Great scores! Unfortunately the Goodwill store in my area keep most of the good selling videos for their website. So that place is usually a bust for me. My best memories of PC games are from playing My Disney Kitchen and Sammy Sosa's Softball Slam with my kids. Thanks for another great video!
My favorite of pc game of the 90s was definitely Goosebumps Escape from Horrorland. It had some great actors in there including Jeff Goldbloom. Awesome game!
That Genesis plug n play was cool. I don’t blame you for leaving it with no power supply but I kinda got into collecting wacky plug n plays. You find em everywhere. Lots of good grabs in this episode! And yes, there’s no wrong times to hit Goodwill. Its dog eat dog around here lol
Favorite 90's computer game........there was a star trek multiplayer game back then we would hook up the computer lab in school and take each other on. Can't remember the name and the graphics were blah.....but it was a ton of fun when we'd get a big battle royal going on.
On the PC back in the 90s I was all about Doom (yay shareware!), Star Wars: Tie Fighter and Day of the Tentacle. Amazing to be able to play those alongside Mega Drive and just the shear difference in graphics and sound compared between them!
Great pickup! So my favorite 90’s PC games were the original Xcom games, by microProse. I would spend days playing those. Xcom, Xcom: terror from the deep, and then Xcom apocalypse.
My favorite 90s computer games were the Putt-Putt series, the Pajama Sam series, the Spy Fox series, and the Freddy Fish series. My mom got me all of them for Xmas one year and it was the first time I smiled and hugged her (I’m autistic) and we spent Xmas weekend playing them all together.
RollerCoaster Tycoon! Such a blast as a kid, my sister and I would sit on the computer and play it for hours! It came out in 1999 i believe so it still counts hahah
Favourite 90s computer game? Caveland. The awesome thing about this is that the devs of this game actually gave you support a few years ago on some random German internet forum, there was a patch to get it to work on Win7. Don't know if they still support it, because I haven't been to the forum where I saw them in ages.
Who remembers Candystand by Lifesavers on the internet ? We used to get on that site at school all the time, they had tons of games to play, the one I remember everyone playing was mini golf.
Unbelievable....That N64 system disappearing in front of you makes my stomach hurt. You scored on some incredible games. If I did a $10 game challenge, it would end in 3 minutes and I'd be out 20 bucks.
If you would have been with me, I would have had you scissor sweep him, I would have grabbed the n64...flipped it for quick cash and we would have split it, 70/30 of course
