I've only played RTF2 but I gotta say, though this game looks as painfully hard, the bosses and atmosphere seem to have a lot more personality than the newer game.
This is one of my favorites. Good music and art. They remade a few stages in Final 2. EDIT: I just realized this was a no Force module Run, then the player ended up using one halfway.
Not sure if this is like 3 & Final 1&2, but some parts will be forced to have the Force summoned in an attempt to help you because needed to take some certain Bydo down; I can confirm this especially in Final 1 on both final bosses because 1: the Bydo Core in Final 1 requires the Force to be launched into it and sacrificed with a Dose Break then finished off with the internal Final Giga W. Cannon. And 2: one is mysteriously summoned to your aid in the Reverse boss battle.... only for the Enemy R-9 A to steal it from you instantly... (unconfirmed in Final 2 because I think in the rematch there, he/she already has his/her own Force to attack you and throws it out in exchange for another, noting their on-the-fly weapon set change. P.s: I'm actually kind of scared when he/she summons the Anchor Force-DX type because despite only constant chasing and flying defensively only attacking with missiles, I think that boss pilot is charging up a Giga W. Cannon! I didn't plan on giving them a chance to use it!) I think in Final 2 around the Cosmic Graveyard, this new Bydo Core also requires the Force to be automatically summoned in order to be sacrificed yet again the same way by being overloaded, then it disintergrates to the void... for now. In R-Type 3 SNES, it is required to be thrown at the Bydo Mother to bump her back into her subspace as you escape because if not, she will go berserk and finish you off first from a sudden barrage(?).
@@SophiaXiaoyuAralaCran You can run Delta without getting any items. Though plot will force you with a force(no pun intended) during the final boss fight - specifically, lv0 force emerges from nowhere to deal with the final phase
Even with its raw ps1 3D graphics, Delta still is THE best game in the series(in terms of gameplay) too bad Final 2 kinda messed up with porting Delta stages..
I'm suddenly reminded of a game like this for the N64 that i loved to death when i rented it, though i forgot its name. it was top-down, and had a similar graphic motiff. to this day part of me wants to play it again.
"Gates" is one of the most utterly colossal bosses I've ever seen, aside from that Asura's Wrath guy the size of a planet. He's like a sci-fi version of Eligor from Castlevania... and he could probably squash Eligor under one foot!
Believe it or not, the Bydo (the overarching antagonists of the franchise) were a biomechanical creation of humanity to battle an unknown extraterrestrial enemy, but they evolved too rapidly and turned against their creators.
Boss list:
01:51 01 Moritz-G
03:38 02 Slugia
04:50 03 Gates
10:19 04 Collector
11:16 05 Turret Ring, Cyst, Bydonaught
14:27 06 Subkeratom
16:07 Final Boss - Bydo Core
14:27 Dobkeratops

Great Work Shadowserg. This game is one of the Ps1 Shooting Gems 💎💎💎
One of the *DARKEST* and most traumatic games from my childhood.
I’m serious, this game gave me some intense childhood PTSD…
O Did finish in hard mode but It was so annoying
@@thalessilveira9062 I only used an invincibility code to get through the game.
*cough*
FINAL 2 REMAKE of STAGE 6 DELTA is the REAL PTSD 😢
*cough*
@@kuroviper15 Oh yes.

Star Soldier: Vanishing Earth?
YESSSS MORE R TYPE i love your videos so much :D
Why it seems this was more harder than R-type Final 😅😅😅😅
One of my favorite shmups

This game looks intense as hell. Highly entertaining run. You slayed it!!!
All of these look super hard to dodge and you still dodged them!!!? You got the Ultra instinct...
At least, you chose the Arrowhead. Fortunately he got a better ending than he who will be known as the Forest Watchdog.
I really appreciate you for at least trying to let the Super Mario Z solo play during the pre-dobkeratops R-9 fight.
simply amazing. R-type is my favorate shooter from the begining of original arcade one. great violent graphics and so beautiful sound tracks
My favorite R-Type game ❤
What time do you make one of Gradius V?
You're a legend.
You are so skilled at this. Without a force, I would have died so many times.
yeah this guy is a boss
Ah my fav game R-Type series
you must be a sadomasochist
This is one of the best games on PS1.
R-Type Delta... a huge shmup success from the PSX
I wonder how many time he spent doing this no damage run... This game is unforgiving
Great work. Bravo
if only Granzella didn't make dirty on Delta homage stages (especially the music arrangements) in Final 2/3.
AWESOME game !!
Its pretty funny how you didn't even skip to the core of Gates and just played the entirety of stage 3
Request: Stretch Panic PS2 all bosses no damage
Perfect chaos
Unfathomably based run
So..we fight an abstract alien organic and non organic creature enemies? Dude that's crazy outspace adventure
Believe it or not, the Bydo (the overarching antagonists of the franchise) were a biomechanical creation of humanity to battle an unknown extraterrestrial enemy, but they evolved too rapidly and turned against their creators.
I noticed the boss music didnt show up for gates like it should, im guessing thats an emulation error
From my own experience, It doesn't switch the music if you don't take out the first phase fast enough. 8:25
Shadowserg, don't you wanna grab those powerups or just use normal ship?
Nevermind you figured it out xd
Most videos that shadowserg made did that on purpose to make it more challenging that's why you would barely see him pick up any powerup in any game
@@LanceRender he figured it out later on the vide
@@ledraco4820 he probably had no choice but to pick up the powerup because maybe it was too hard for him
@@LanceRender true, besides those powerups can block projectiles in these series
So this R-Typer is also practicing some flights for R-Type Final 3: Evolution? :)
Bom video
WOW ! ! ! BEST PLAYER EVER ! ! !
Is this a 3d assets?!
This guy is a god, how do You could beat the 3rd contact with no power ups and dodge all these bullets?
wait wait, he is using an invincibility code, right ?
