I think this is still my favourite R-Type game. I have really strong memories of playing R-Type 2 as a kid, but I just love the music in this one, and the stage design is more interesting. Stage 3 is the best giant boss R-Type stage I think.

Ah,the PS1 is the sweet home of many masterpiece shooters like this ,Heinhander and many,many others.Its sad that don't make good shooters like this nowadays...
That is what I wondered about the R-13's Wave Cannon. Back then, it was a new kind of Wave Cannon that uses the power of lightning. It's powerful, but it's also very quick. The R-9, Albatross, and Pow Armor had the power in their wave cannons to break the barriers between the real world and the Bydo Dimension. When fully charged, it was a big enough blast to break through. R-13 Cerberus doesn't have that kind of massive size and power with its Wave Cannon. It just strikes quick and fast, but doesn't have the power to overwhelm the barriers to break through. So that spacecraft and its pilot was doomed.
I can't believe I've missed out on this hidden gem and this game was at every videogame store I go to but sadly this game is now hard to get because of high demand prices

Yo solo a dia de hoy quiero saber qué diablos era Bydo. Algunos dicen una dimensión, otros un bebé alien experimental, pero que yo sepa no hay respuesta.
Eu tive a oportunidade de jogar ele, jogava que nem louco, R-Type moldou minha infância, jogasso, e agora depois de séculos praticamente, entendi o final do R-13 (da gameplay), chorei com o sacrifício do R-9 no Final, que série de jogos foda... E ainda tá vindo o Final 2

Thanks! I'm sorry. I have never played the "Radiant Silvergun" It's level design is exquisite! The placement of the enemy was tricky, and stage 6 had a hard time very hard. But my favorite stage.

これは名作でしたねえ
FINALも素晴らしかったですけど、DELTAほどの衝撃ではありませんでした
初代R－TYPE以降はしばらく初代の二番煎じ三番煎じ感が否めませんでしたけど、DELTAに出会ったときは、よくぞこんなシューティングを作ってくれた！と脱帽ものでした
そしてFINALでさらに深まりのある世界観へ・・・
得体のしれないむなしさとほのかな罪悪感を抱きながらプレイするシューティングゲームって、そうそうないんじゃないでしょうか？
R-13 ending is sad. But even sadder is when you kill him in R-Type Final after finding out that he probably had no idea that he's a Bydo.

アンカーフォースやターミネイト・γ(黄レーザー)も強いですが、ちょい溜め撃ちのライトニング波動砲連発もホーミングで強いですよね
動画で1面中ボスをターミネイト・γで瞬殺するのミスってるのが悲しい

中身が固定なのかランダムなのか良く分かりませんけど。

ＰＳ2も新品は有るには有るのですがプレミア価格ですし。割り切って中古ですかねえ...。
