Meh. No, really, it is not a really good entry in the 194X series. Very easy even on highest difficulty setting, not visually impressive or even that much appealing. I am even surprised that I remembered this game when I was thinking what to record next. So, here is a short boss run showing all 5 bosses in the game. No bombs or missiles used, just main weapon.
The Capcom 194x series is not like Strikers 1945 series except they are both WW2 era shmups. Complete different feel and gameplay. Different developers and different aesthetic.
That weapons malfunction bit was an interesting idea, though it went on WAY longer than it should have, glad it wasn't done for EVERY boss, which would have really sucked.
Honestly, destroying the first Bodan was doing the enemy a favor, considering how terrible it's pilot must have been. It's one thing to try running over your enemy when you have such a heavily-armed plane at your disposal, but doing that while running over entire fleets of your allies and wrecking your own plane in the process is inexcusable incompetence.
I LIVED for this game,, and bodan had to be my favorite boss despite it being the first, close second's poseidon the old graphics is honestly something that pieces this together
Well, at least now I'll have an example when someone ask the definition of "generic", god this looks so bad, and the fact that basically every shooter started to look like this when they changed from 2D to 3D just makes it worse
@@alvarocortez1919 Yup, that game looks very much like what I'd want for a "modern" shmup, it's 2D/3D (2.5D lol), but it keeps the "charm" of the "older ones", which imo would be their "colorfulness" (even tho it also uses a "darkish" color palette as well), but then everyone else decided to go to the "realistic/dirty gray" route Don't know if I managed to explain it well, but will do, lol
I'll give some credit to the chase scene, but most of the bosses should have been phases of each other instead of separate bosses, most notably the Dagmors.
I can see the ideas they had planned for this game... I guess the finished product is a result of budget cuts or a general lack of motivation and interest towards the project. It just comes off as rushed.

So, the original is harder?

@@YanoMonteiro1979 ofc
I can tell, the bullets seem to be super easy to dodge
I think the most interesting thing about this game is that the main turret of the second boss is missing an explotion for when it dies
This is like Strikers 1945, minus the transforming planes, trains and ships.
It's a shame too, those boss transformations were the best part of those original arcade games.

This video is litteraly 1 year ago, im still suprised there's still these kinds of videos in this generation

I would dread to have Bodan under my regiment. The damn thing probably is more of a threat to it's fellow fighter craft than the player is to them!

Same here man

True that. Einhander was a 90's 3d shmup but is way better than modern shmup games.

Well at least games like eschatos and Raiden try to avoid the "dirty gray" route
This is from Gears of War and Resistance era so thats why the colors are drab
Very short but recommended for old fans of the 19xx saga
11:02 52km/h. Out of a jet plane. And your mission control actually published this obvious enemy disinformation in the briefing.
Nice video ShadowSerg 👍👍👍
So nolstogic I used to play this game with my dad every day😢🎉❤
P-38 Lightning vs The World!

Nice Boss Battles
I did not know there was a PS3 edition of 1942.
Nice vid!

Dagmog sigma oh my goodness 😊
And this is why 19XX is still the best out of all of 'em
Hey Shadowserg! Can you make a all bosses of Art of fighting trouble in southtown? It's a beat'em up openbor.
Good one.
Bodan epsilon has the same stats as Dagmor sigma
Twin Cobra arcade (1987)
Hey, I also play this video game
Childhood
the dagmor tank is even lighter than maus😂😂😂
Tbh the final boss, looks like Touhou gameplay
thats a not an ending.... thats not an ending at all!
Weapon used?
Dagmor Sigma🗿🗿
like bro every boss's guns are so blurry
It is only a little bit blurry like the game developer needs to fix it then it will be awesome
the first boss design is awesome
why every boss go so fast
The sound effects are way to loud an irritating, not allowing you to enjoy the boss music!
🥰🥰🥰
need 1945 reboot
WW2
This game is so visually ugly.
And, the only thing that screams WW2 to me is the P-38 Lightning that you're flying.
