One of my favorite SNES games: very creative, good graphics, great soundtrack, really difficult but it was "challenging difficult" not just "annoying difficult"

@@jasoncrandall5320 It's even cooler when you realize that they had to manipulate that layer per scanline, to achieve that effect. It would've been a huge pain to implement.
there's a secret to beating dobkeratops- you throw your force into the belly so it gets trapped, then charge up and time your shot so the damage from the charge and force hit at the same time- done properly it destroys dobkeratops in one hit.
I'm seriously baffled at how you can take every other game and defeat them all so easily. I've played that one and could never get past the second boss, except if I used savestates. And even with them, the last stage was hell. I tip my hat to you! I however noted that you didn't take damage DURING the bosses, which is impressive, but I noticed you took damage during the stages... ;) Side question: have you ever considered speedrunning? :)
Considering that you're going to run out of (good) games to make videos with eventually, have you considered making videos to teach others how to get better at difficult games (such as this one)? Might be a good way to ensure that you don't run out of things to post.

All I can remember is that the first boss was a giant skull that attacked with a tentacle, and the second boss was some kind of giant worm that occupied the central part of the screen with its body. Why do all that dodging in the last form of the final boss. I was going crazy trying to avoid all those shots and I realized you can end the fight instantly as soon as he opens his mouth you just throw the forcepod in and he falls into portal.

"(No Damage)" is kind of a misnomer since it's one hit and you're dead in most R-Type games.
it kinda like a shmup version of dead space games because of creepy enemy design like same as necromorph
