    Great video.
    I really liked the idea to use black for the 3d printed parts but also it made them harder to see on the video. Especially the strain relief for the bed cable.
    Thanks for all the info.

    Thanks for this video! Very good ideas and keep them coming!
    I'd love one about firmware updates. I just got an Ender 5 Pro and spent waaaay too long figuring out how to update the firmware. The official Creality versions of Marlin don't have the best documentation and any of the bin files with BLTouch just caused my machine to *literally* scream. Had to go back to the "endstop" version. But I know there are much more updated versions of Marlin out there and I'm not sure if I can use them. Thanks!

    I love (and hate) that all Ender 5 Pro by default are super messy with the cable management (which is basically not existent, because for some weird reason they decided to have all wires 10 centimeters too short for proper cable management).
    One day I'll print some parts to optimize the wiring.

      I like the humor. Lots of channels with no humor just makes it too bland. I believe it helps with making the viewer more interested and immersed. Nice video btw! 👍🏻

      @xtianninjagaming3535 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      In videos like this it makes a lot of sense. It isn't meant to be a quick-fix vid, right? Mostly just an interest tour of possibilities, which lends itself well to humourous moments.

    For such a powerful printer, the floppy bed is incomprehensible.
    I got an older model Ender 5 but upgraded it (for free) with Klipper. It's a flying machine now, I just have to sort out the problem of the extruder not being able to pull plastic off the reel - the PTFE trick sounds good but a bearing would be smarter.

    The timing of this video is incredibly ironic for me at least, we drove to your location back in March to pickup our Ender 5Pro. Just a few days ago I printed the LCD rear cover, somehow I pinched the ribbon cable and sparks flew and blew the mainboard, drove down to your store yesterday and picked up the Big Tree Tech SKR Mini E3 v2.0 and matching TFT touch screen. I've also order and installed the Micro Swiss DD from your online store, delivery was incredibly fast!

    You wouldn't have had to struggle with the bed strain relief if you had put the bed supports on correctly.
    The thingiverse link clearly shows the correct way to use them... (you put them on the wrong sides)

    Hello 👋 How can I get the program to print those parts?

  • @tymz-r-achangin
    @tymz-r-achangin 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Should have shown putting on the covers for the X axis belt guides/rollers and definitely for the Y axis guides/rollers that are right at the front corners of the Ender 5 and 5 pro where if you, your wife, or children have long hair it wont take long for one of you to not think about why you shouldn't lean to close over the printer.
    For me, it doesn't feel good when my arm hair got caught in them and if you have stink bugs like we do here in Ohio, it's not fun cleaning their squished remains and the stink from these parts!

    How do you manually move the bed up and down? i dont mean leveling it, i just got my ender 5 pro and it seems to have clogged already, but i cant get to the nozzle very well because the bed is in the way and i cant seem to move it down

    • @Jb-ve9id

      Go into prepare, then select move axis, and adjust your Z axis to move the stage down. Not sure this is the easiest way, but this is what I do to move the stage down

    The Ender 5 that I recently purchased (Dec 2020) does not have a cantilevered build plate -- it seems they are evolving the design rapidly -- every ender 5 video I look at (to learn more) has a different version of the ender 5. (EDIT) I have the 5 plus .. not the pro

    Newbie question: Do stepper drivers have moving parts? I.e. how are they noisy? Do they vibrate? Why are some more quiet than others? Thanks.

    • @richardhaas39
      @richardhaas39 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Their input is pulses, i.e., a square wave. A sine wave input is quieter but cutting off the corners of the squares can result in a phase shift and a lack of precision so the engineering is complicated.
