My gosh!! Was one of the all time BEST!! I remember his songs so well...and I was only a kid!! thank you, Duane, for all the goodness you put in this world with your music!!
🎉You do not hear any instrumental music in todays world. Especially Duane. Love his style. A old time listener doesn't have to guess who that is playing that guitar. That's "D.E." !! 👀 😅👍🏼
I agree 100% & about same age as you, 77 yrs, & so fortunate to have had the pleasure of growing old with this kind of fantastic music. And love the sax!
The saxophonist is none other than the great Steve Douglas, who was an integral part of the Wrecking Crew! This man was on everything from the Beach Boys to the Mamas & the Papas!
Big D.fuckin,A Back when a rap wasn't required, great instrumentalist had great tunes and airwaves that played them. To all those great musicians to many to list here, thanks for teaching us how to play and how to have fun!!!! ROCK-ON J DEUCE RNR
I saw Duane at the Liverpool Empire many years ago and we all screamed because he was drop dead gorgeous in those days. We can all cherish our memories.
First heard of Duane Eddy in 1986 when he collaborated with British electronic group Art Of Noise on a version of Peter Gun. It was brilliant . Lolked up more of his music after that . I love his guitar sound . I long may he keep on trucking .
This guy is tge God... Can't forget Chris Isaak's Wicked Games' and regard this as a tribute to Duane, Just that start , the way he plays tge first two chords, unmissable.and his own style...I'm not a guitar player but I think anybody who is learning to play a guitar can learn so much from this guys music. God bless you Duane...thank you for such a brilliant musical legacy. T
I first heard Duane Eddie in the late fifties at the age of 5 or 6 in my older brothers room. Since then, I have been a fan of Duane, and a fan of good guitar!
Duane Eddy was a very underrated guitarist. But he was very good. He incorporated sax, strings and many other things in his tunes. His guitar playing on Robert Mitchum's Ballad Of Thunder Road wasn't credited but that was him.
I've just found this quite by chance and, as a teenager here in the UK, I bought those numbers first time around. And do I remember buying an LP entitled, 'The Twang's the Thang'?
my elder sister was one of the worst bullies in my life for a time. naturally when l bought a Duane Eddy album long after his popularity peaked she had to say something nasty.
Couldn't figure out who the host was for awhile but it's the late Alan Thicke, probably a clip from his Thicke of the Night late night show he had many years ago.
Back then very few vehicles were equipped with 4-wheel drive, Jeeps ,and truck, not like modern vehicles with all wheel drive. A ride over 4O miles of bad road was ROUGH, to say the least.
I wasn't even born when these songs were hits, thanks to my mum playing his records when I was a child, Duane was the best guitarist ever 💕
R.I.P.🕊And if possible pray for peace in this world🙏
I hear you. Pray for Jerusalem, Israel, and mercy for our own country
As of 5-5-24, Just a few days ago Duane Eddy passed away. He will be remembered and sadly missed.
A musical era that’s never been matched to this day. Rebel Rouser was my favorite from Duane Eddy.
Timeless.. I grew up listening to Rebel Rouser, Buddy Holly, and etc
Listen to The Avenger and Mason Dixon Lion
Was 10 in 1959 and got a box record player so I was listening to all the 45s of the time and of course Duanne Eddy..
Rest in peace, Duane

I agree 100% & about same age as you, 77 yrs, & so fortunate to have had the pleasure of growing old with this kind of fantastic music. And love the sax!

Ain't that the truth
The saxophonist - what an incredible mastery of the instrument!
The saxophonist is none other than the great Steve Douglas, who was an integral part of the Wrecking Crew! This man was on everything from the Beach Boys to the Mamas & the Papas!
Nobody else could make a guitar talk like this man

Same here. He made me addicted to playing the guitar. I just played for a few minutes just a few minutes ago.
Wow. Like Honky Tonk an unforgettable classic sax tune

The one and only Steve Douglass! You've heard him on so many hit records.

I first heard Duane Eddie in the late fifties at the age of 5 or 6 in my older brothers room. Since then, I have been a fan of Duane, and a fan of good guitar!
As an eldest brother, and eldest cousin, I approve this message 🤩

I missed the Rebel yells!
Wow, takes me back to the Glasgow Empire Theatre ( 1960? )
Descanse en paz 🙏🏻😿
The first thing he thinks to do is to credit his colleague.
Jus🎉t incase you don't know the tv series was called just Gun the gumshoe detective was Peter Gunn
I've just found this quite by chance and, as a teenager here in the UK, I bought those numbers first time around. And do I remember buying an LP entitled, 'The Twang's the Thang'?
You and me both.
Great album!
magic sounds, any one toying with a guitar tried peter gunn.
my elder sister was one of the worst bullies in my life for a time. naturally when l bought a Duane Eddy album long after his popularity peaked she had to say something nasty.
Poison Ivy of the Cramps plays this real nice!
Couldn't figure out who the host was for awhile but it's the late Alan Thicke, probably a clip from his Thicke of the Night late night show he had many years ago.
Good call...
40 miles of Bad Road.
I remember..
Great😎
That was his best hit.
I would like saxophonist Richard Elliot do a collaboration with Duane. I think it would expose both of them to a wider audience & new fans.
WHERE IS MICKEY AND SYLVIA? Doing love is strange ,is there any tape of this duo.?
Di questo chitarrista mi è rimasto solo chitar man
Who is the sax player?
Duane Eddy is a very good guitarist but the saxophone is a better saxophone player
Steve Douglas is considered by some(Including John Fogerty)as the “best”R&R sax player in history! I agree!👍
tucker carlson
LOL!
Great song..that Alan Thicke needed to get off the damn stage,
Back then very few vehicles were equipped with 4-wheel drive, Jeeps ,and truck, not like modern vehicles with all wheel drive. A ride over 4O miles of bad road was ROUGH, to say the least.
Everyone talking about Duane playing the same 4 notes over and over while the sax guy is just absolutely shredding the entire time XD
The "Sax Guy"? That's the one and only Steve Douglass! He played on soooo many hits. Mostly with Phil Spector. LOL
