My ignition switch is not activating Headlight or starter switch. Lower dashboard lights come on an fuel pump, but nothing else. What would you do with not finding igntion switch replacement?
GL1500’s can be found on the cheap if you look hard enough . I got mine pretty cheap , and did some work to it , and now I’ve got a bike that will last for years !!
Its been awhile since Ive had to get into my 1990 wings headlight but I do this year. Have some flickering side markers. I dont remember having a reason to pull off the windshield to get the head light out?....yours is like that?
I am going to need to replace front speakers at some point , but I use Bluetooth to play my music through my helmet . The front bulbs aren’t terrible to get to , it just takes patience.
@@Unexpectedperspectivesnow I know there are 2 filters for the cruise control that dry up and crumble . These muse be changed before they do this , or else it plugs things up .

I have changed a lot of 1500 headlight bulbs and never removed the windshield.
I was cleaning up the windshield area while doing it .
Did you no Japanese screwdriver made special for screws on goldwing really makes a difference!

I've pretty much given up riding at night. Too many very close calls with deer. Great video though.

It looks like you didn't need to pull the Windshield. Does that block something? Great video and thanks for posting.
Not necessary to pull the windshield, but I was cleaning, and wanted to clean up the dash .

You DO NOT need to remove the windshield. You don't even have to loosen it. I can't believe no one uses cordless tools. It makes the job a lot easier.

I did it to clean up the windshield , and the area around it .

What year,? and did you cut a whole in the boot yourself?
Mine is a 1999 . I had to cut a whole in the boot to let air cool the bulb down .

Ive got a 1990 wing for sale..225000km..asking $4000.
Lots of chrome..many new parts..brakes..tires..2 windsheilds..etc.
I go mine for 2k had an extensive service record 130k still a baby in goldwing years
I ended up getting one, 1500 bucks.

I wanted to clean up the area where the windshield mounts , so I took it off while I had the chrome trim off . Killing 2 birds with one stone .

Mine is a 1999 . They changed them somewhere along the 12 year run of GL1500’s to be like mine . 2000 was the last year for a GL1500.

I had bought a cheap set from eBay 2 years ago , but one of them died … I replaced them both with another eBay set .
