One of These Nights is the fourth studio album by the Eagles, released in 1975. In July that year, the record became the Eagles' first number one album on Billboard's album chart, yielding three Top 10 singles: "One of These Nights", "Lyin' Eyes" and "Take It to the Limit
Every man loves that verse - “I’ve been searching for the daughter of the Devil himself.
I’ve been searching for an Angel in white.
I’ve been waiting for a woman who’s a little of both”
On Point!
I found her, and yeah, she is the daughter.... grumble grumble...
Yep, and I thought I'd found her. Unfortunately she was just a tad more `daughter of the devil` than I was hoping for. 🤔
My favorite line is "coming right behind you, swear I'm gonna find you, get ya babe one of these nights"
...and , what's your point
this is by far my favorite songs from the eagles.. that bass line, the piano, the falsetto… just perfection
Love this song. I bought the ‘45 in 1975. I still have it and it’s on my jukebox 😎
That is too cool friend! 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Eagles ARE a total groove!
Don Felder killed the guitar riff in the middle of the song-he wrote and played so many great riffs for them Underrated as a guitar player. When you see him play live h is fingers move over the strings with such classy moves.
I love watching young people enjoying great songs of the past. She's rockin' out !!!!!
I agree but they will never know the freedom we knew back then
@@chicargowest True, the 1970s was a great decade to be young. 👍
My favorite Eagles song.
Total fire bop. Groove, smooth, spacious, great Bassline etc
Holds up fine after almost 50years
Loved it instantly first time I heard it...as a teen when it was released. Always loved Don Henley's falsetto.
Actually the falsetto came from Randy Meisner. He was the lead singer on Take it to the Limit.
@@blondespitfire I didn't know that! (Obviously! 😆) Thanks for the correction!
@@blondespitfire huh what chu talkin bout? Henley was doing his own falsetto the whole song.
Randy Meisner hit the highest falsetto. The one most guys can't possibly hit. Don Henley did easy falsetto
Henley sings lead the whole way through, including the falsetto ad libs in the refrain. Meisner and the rest the guys are the backup, with Meisner on the highest end of the harmony.
The Eagles have a great library and their music is timeless.
Such a seventies classic. Great selection.
This is a good song to cruise around in your car to on a nice summer night. With the windows rolled down and Preferably out by a lake. And yes, Summertime jams for sure. Alot of their songs are like that.❤
Couldn't have said it better myself homes, @Empress you just passed the EAGLES fangirl test, it only gets better than this...
My favorite of their many great songs. Never get tired of it.
This is a great song of the 70s covered many times …great review
Yaaas 🔥🔥
Empress, you are able to discover any buried treasure😊 I haven't heard this song in so long...
Love this song. Wish they'd put more emphasis on the last part of Henley's falsetto instead of making it fade out. He really killed it with that last high note.
Yaas!
Too me one of the Eagles best, a song with many good memories. I'm so happy to see the young people appreciating music 🎶 from the 60's and 70's.
That's a def bop! You look like you'd be great out on the dance floor! :)
😊 thanks
I was the head football coach in Lubbock Texas the fist time I heard this song..I will never forget It!!!
The 1970s were the greatest decade ever, When you went to the disco or club, nobody cared who you were or what you were, it was just all a good time. You could be a fast food worker or sell paint, whatever it was you did, in the Disco you could become somebody. That was the 1970s.
Black, white, Hispanic, Native American, did not matter. They all went to the Disco together and nobody cared. That is the 1970s I remember, that is when I was a child. Those were the good times.
One my faves by them. Try “those shoes” super groove.
This one is good. I appreciate The Eagles more now(Nostalgia) then I did when i was little kid in the 70s 😁
Hi Empress, just wanted to say your look is so mesmerizing 😅 you look so fun thank you for your content 😅
You are so welcome! Glad you're enjoying
♥ u Empress
🥰🥰
Big hit in the dance clubs. The Eagles were jammin'!
Great reaction! You know it's good when you rock all the way to the fadeout. Years(decades)ago I heard a radio interview where Frey described the guitar solo as "Felder playing sax on the guitar."
Eagles have so many major songs from the 70s.One of their best known songs is Take It Easy. That one is a must listen. And of course everyone knows Hotel California.
knew you'd like the vocal harmonies, the oohs! check out LYIN' EYES and TAKE IT TO THE LIMIT.
My fav eagles song.
My favorite video so far!😃 I love the eagles! Please keep doing classic rock videos!
More to come!
Eagles have been my favorite band for 50 years. This and “Take it to the limit” are my 2 favorite songs of theirs. Loved your reaction!
Thanks!
As for the inspiration for the song Henley and frey said that they were inspired by the music coming out of Philly int'l, the record label ran by Kenny gamble and Leon huff
I Very often Hear this a lot on the Radio. Every time I Hear it,.. I Think of a Summer Day out on the Beach or having a Cookout in the Backyard.
I love the eagles! Me and my moms favorite band. Loved your reaction and enthusiasm! New follower
ThanksA
The final moments as it's fading out.... is such a awesome part! The last Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
💯💯
Guitar solo ABSOLUTELY moves me!!!!😛🎵🎶
You are still the best!!!
THANK U!
This is my favorite Eagles song such a masterpiece. I really enjoyed watching you enjoy this classic greatness, you would have so loved living in the 70's and 80's.
Glad you enjoyed it
I like the Eagles, LOVE this hit song.. thanks for being So expansive with your reactions in music..
I appreciate that
In the 70s i use to cruise around town in my vw kombi with the eagles playing
A lot of earlier Eagles fans hated this song, but it surely captured the attention of the mainstream and Disco lovers, pop lovers, R&B lovers. Some said this was a “commercial” song from them, but that guitar solo was too nasty for this to be just a TV tune or nursery rhyme. The Eagles knew what they wanted to do and it’s probably why Bernie Leadon left because they delved into the mainstream disco and horror themes. It captured everyone’s attention and is probably why their greatest hits was the best selling album for a long time.
Thanks for the commentary
Great reaction here. One of the best live performances ever, is the Eagle's Take it To the Limit. Love to see you react to that as well
You had to get on the dance floor with this one back in the day . Loved the 70s .
I could see passion in your eyes.
I miss your groove 🤎
I miss you, that's all. Your married 🙄🤣
...The EAGLES!? ...Oh lawd, I'll be here forever with the.... ***EAGLES TRIVIA TIME!!***
- Singer Linda Ronstadt was looking for a touring Group in 1973, which brought some of the members together, who decided they should form a Group....ba-BOOM!! ...Instant smash POWERHOUSE Band, consisting of Bernie Leadon, Don Felder, Joe Walsh, Glenn Frey, & Don Henley (Randy Meisner & Timothy B. Schmidt came later....)
- ...Oh, Baby, does this Group have hits - H.I.T.S!!! ....just take solace, in knowing the are the GODFATHERS of "Southern California Rock"...and, they are NOT to be messed with!
- This tune was their 2nd # 1 Hit in 1975; Clearly influenced by the rising "Disco" sound, this was the ONLY time they went for the 'groove', and got Blacks into their sound for a time.....
...they have 2,658 more trivia tidbits, but... I'm TIRED, so, here's the Top 10 , August, 1975....
10. Dyno-mite! - Tony Bazillo
9. Rockin' Chair - Gewn MacRae
8. Listen To What The Man Said - Paul McCartney & WINGS
7. Midnight Blue - Melissa Manchester
6. Someone Saved My Life Tonight - Elton John
5. The Hustle - Van McCoy
4. Please Mr. Please - Olivia Newton John
3. Jive Talkin' - Bee Gees
2. I'm Not In Love - 10cc
1. ***One Of These Nights*** - Eagles (1 week)
I was wondering how you were going to distill Eagles history down to something short of War and Peace. 🤣 Let's just hope we can bypass the Sgt. Pepper vs. Dark Side of the Moon vs. Hotel California greatest rock album of all time debate when later Eagles works come up for reaction -- that thread has the potential for going south real quick. 💥🤕💥
@@craigcraigster4999 ...hell, it felt like 'War & Peace', just TYPING it! ...ha-HAAA!! ..I know Miss Empress is too young to sift thru my trivia, but, if it reaches ONE Person..... ; )
@@RBS_ Well it's definitely reaching this SoCal boy, every enjoyable word. Keep On Keepin' On bro! 😎
Wow‼️‼️
So just subbed only video which has the full version, right to the ends
thanks for the sub!!
My Favorite Eagles Song!
This record is an all time classic.
That piano doe!!!!!
There lineup has changed over the years but this was the first iteration, and it was the best. When they were truly country rock.
Not quite the original iteration, Felder wasn't added until 1974. Frankly though, the best Eagles lineup had Randy Meisner, Don Felder, and Joe Walsh in it.
@@TheSaxAppeal- Joe Walsh is a great guitarist, but he is more of a hard rock sound which is why the band changed. I preferred their sound when Leadon was their lead guitarist. But I understand the appeal of both.
This song came out in the mid 70s. I was a teenager then.
The closest they came to r&b, brilliant song
🔥🔥🔥
Bop. And it sounds good early morning at the club.
You're such a precious angel. It's fun to watch your reaction to the Eagles "One of the Nights."
Thanks!
Prime Eagles
Best lineup with Randy and DF
Empress is the best!!
I love this song , you made me love it more !❤❤
Wow thanks!
So fun. You were feeling that.
🔥
Smokey 💨 song 🥃
Hell yeah.... killer song
The Chameleons - Don't fall, Manic street preachers - The masses against the classes are 2 that you should consider reacting to! 👍🏼😉😊
Eagles R&B song hits the nail on the head. Just watched a video 2 hrs ago talking about how the Eagles were heavily influenced to do this song out of respect for The Spinners and the Temptations.
oh cool!
I KNOW RITE!!!! THIS GROOVE IS FIRE!!!!! The first time I listen to the song I instantly liked it just like you and it's super cool to see that young people can relate to how good this music was made and played by the way your reaction is awesome!!!!
Thanks for sharing, the live version is better , check it out 😊

classic.
Ilovved to whack you reacted to this song
. Love you 😍
😊
Nobody like the Eagles and Don Henley voice is just too much! I would recommend Those Shoes and Best Of My Love.
Great pick great reaction 🥰😍
👍👍👍🔥
One of the best bands
It has a Disco vibe. That is what they wanted to add.
R&B
This is eagles best song.
The Eagles kinda owned 70’s FM radio next to a few more.
Like Bee Gres, ABBA and yes a few more.
@@donaldjones637 yeah, If we go by charts, Chicago and Elton John would be way up there with the BeeGees. The eagles just seemed to get a lot of airplay.
Based on my own records and CDs Chicago and Elton did get a lot of “airplay” around my house too.
Witchy Woman!
I think this could be their GOAT, Hotel California albeit still awesome just doesn't hit me like this one.
If you can't jam to the Eagles "One of these Nights" ,you have to be sleeping.
Can you please react to the Eagles Hotel California?? Please pretty please ❤️
I have. TH-cam blocked it. It's on my Patreon
Its a sexy ass song
React to the group RUSH - from Canada.
An all-time Eagles classic. 🔥 Sure hope you don't get a TH-cam nastygram because you reacted to this group (I won't say their name), they've been known to keep a tight rein on their music and reactions thereto -- fingers crossed. Awesome reaction Empress, loved your non-stop smiling! 😍🤗
Well it was TH-cam jail so we're good

One of these nights
One of these crazy old nights
We're gonna find out pretty mama
What turns on your lights
The full moon is calling
The fever is high
And the wicked wind whispers and moans
You got your demons you got desires
Well I got a few of my own
Ooh... someone to be kind to in between the dark and the light
Ooh... coming right behind you swear I'm gonna find you
One of these nights
One of these dreams
One of these lost and lonely dreams now
We're gonna find one
Mmmm... one that really screams
I've been searching for the daughter of the Devil himself
I've been searching for an angel in white
I've been waiting for a woman who's a little of both
And I can feel her but she's nowhere in sight
Ooh... loneliness will blind you in between the wrong and the right
Oh-whoa-oh
Ooh... coming right behind you swear I'm gonna find you
One of these nights

Ooh in between the dark and the light
Coming right behind you swear I'm gonna find you

These songs were before the Bee Gees for famous, (nor before the Bee Gees, just before all the songs you are referring unto). So, maybe the Bee Gees got inspiration from these guys.

Koko Taylor: I’m a Woman
