I have a 2014 QX80 and LOVE IT! Maintenance is been extremely low and this vehicle is reliable, even with 145K miles on it! I am considering trading up to this model, it's even more beautiful than mine! I found one with only 32K miles on it! Love it! And the best part? Buying a $90K Luxury SUV for $42K...LOL...gotta love someone else paying all the depreciation on a vehicle...hehehehe.
Not only that, but why do most modern cars sound so dead ass boring these days? QX80 has a v8 with 400 hp and it sounds almost as boring as my peugeot 407
Man that is a huge vehicle. In the past with a husband, 2 kids and 4 dogs plus all the water ski gear for slalom, trick and jump I needed a big vehicle. While I miss those days I'm happy to be riding in a Mustang today. Thanks for another informative review.

Both QX80/Armada have a GREAT V8, Trans, Dual Range 4WD w/AUTO super comfortable seats and HUGE Wheels. I have taken a few test drives in the Armada which has many of the QX80 features and it's the Armada that sure is a BIG Bang for your Buck that dealers offer BIG discounts on. The Armada is on my very short list of what will be my next ride.

Armada discounts are 12k or better has high/low 4WD and innovated 4WD Auto, the High Country is near the top of my AWD list Vehicles.

It's probably not the most ideal option for most people to spend half their paycheck on a car, but it is attainable and doable. There is no correct move, it varies from an individual basis.
It doesn’t have Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. However, next month the 2020 QX80 will be released with both. The resell value for ALL Infiniti values will plummet when the next generation cars come out.

Me 3! I drive a Pathfinder and my wife a Range and both are 2017s and her crap has all types of quality issues. My Pathfinder has everything except the problems. All Nissan/Infinity needs to do is update their infotainment system and look.
For full size Japanese SUV, the Lexus LX is a way better choice. The only thing i dont like about the LX is the 3rd row seats. Not only do they fold side way, they also literally touch the floor. It's like you are sitting on a pad on the floor.

I bought this exact model 2 days ago. For some reason when I turn the engine off ALL 4 windows go down?!!! WHY? I am going to go back to the dealer to see if it is something in the settings. It only has 33K miles on it. I love it!
Interior looks pretty dated so that's an automatic pass at this price point for me. But as far as the exterior, the only thing I don't like is how far the rear bumper comes out. Reminds me of Bubba's lower lip from Forrest Gump lol
Yeah I'm not sure what's going on with the rear bumper. The Nissan Patrol is the exact same vehicle as this QX80/Armada but the rear bumper doesn't stick out at all.
But at 90k you can buy a Tesla Model X with the ability to seat 7 and get 325 miles per charge, Autopilot, built in camera security system, ability to warm up or cool down your car anywhere in the world, summon, tow 5000 lbs, plus you now can get Tesla insurance which should save you 20-30% overall. I think at this point in time people are seriously looking at all their options
I owned 2011 qx56 had the paint peeling off for no reason, and rear air suspension fails twice for no reason as well other than that the ride was perfect, its classic from the centre console, I love the design, wheels colours, engine is one of the most reliable very strong and has zero issues in the engine and transmission owned for 7 years, but as for this model come on 91k for outdates centre console
Nissan and Infiniti models are falling behind. They've sent all of there engineers and developing teams over to the GTR department leaving every other vehicle behind a decade at least. Look at the 370z, Interior has remained the same since 2003 lol. This SUV is no different. Other Suvs offer more for less, especially the technology department. Great vid bro. Keep it up!
The reason this is called the qx80 is because a few years ago Infiniti decided to start all there vehicles with the letter Q . All the cars simply have the letter Q and the SUVs the letters qx. At the time the full size qx 56 was the only qx and the 56 indicated the engine size.
I had a 2012 QX56 before they rebadged it to QX80. The 2019 have the same interior basicly same body with some different front. They dont have any APPLE car play or Andriod Play. Infiniti has fallen behind in TECH. they have the same small center screen. Im gonna hold out for a major redesign and hoping they put in a larger center screen with Apple play and Andriod play.

As someone that just test drove one, it's 'nice'. That's not acceptable for the price. My final decision was a Lincoln Navigator Black Label. Absolutely unsurpassed by any competitor. Besides the pure luxury, I'm an engine guy and it shares the absurd 450 hp and 510 lb-ft of torque as the Raptor. Massage seats, "S" Class type interior, ambient lighting, 10" touchscreen. Above all, it has that feel of a genuine SUV, not a Crossover. U.S. News has it beating both the G-Class Wagon Mercedes, Land Rover, and BMW with it #1 on their list, the QX80 being #6 for Full Size Luxury SUV's.
This is the same car that I purchased in 2012. Same engine, same infotainment, same outdated tech. They are selling it 90K in full pack. Buy used low mileage QX56 for max 30K if you really want to drive Infiniti. Other than this buy brand new Armada, same car!
At these prices you’re better off buying a top of the line pick-up. You get same luxury inside for $20,000 less and you get the versatility of the bed.
Why do all the big 3 row SUVs have little cargo space? For such big cars there should be more trunk space. These cars are not family friendly and not realistic for a family with 3 or more kids.

I have a 2020 that I bought 3 years old with low miles for only $39K. These are excellent reliable SUV’s.
Have a 2012 QX56 fully loaded and the interior is exactly the same besides the mirror camera. Not worth the upgrade yet.

I have a 2008 sequoia platinum now with 78,000 miles 5.7v8 still great and awesome and I can fit everyone in it with space left

They are still using the same dash and interior as was in my old 2012 Infiniti M56. They need to update that.

The ding dong compartment is for a small MP3 player, it should have the plug for the audio integration.
Small front sunroof is the best. Panoramic large sunroof makes the car interior temperature too hight.

As someone that just test drove one, it's 'nice'. That's not acceptable for the price. My final decision was a Lincoln Navigator Black Label. Absolutely unsurpassed by any competitor. Besides the pure luxury, I'm an engine guy and it shares the absurd 450 hp and 510 lb-ft of torque as the Raptor. Massage seats, "S" Class type interior, ambient lighting, 10" touchscreen. Above all, it has that feel of a genuine SUV, not a Crossover. U.S. News has it beating both the G-Class Wagon Mercedes, Land Rover, and BMW with it #1 on their list, the QX80 being #6 for Full Size Luxury SUV's.

This is the same car that I purchased in 2012. Same engine, same infotainment, same outdated tech. They are selling it 90K in full pack. Buy used low mileage QX56 for max 30K if you really want to drive Infiniti. Other than this buy brand new Armada, same car!
At these prices you’re better off buying a top of the line pick-up. You get same luxury inside for $20,000 less and you get the versatility of the bed.

Why do all the big 3 row SUVs have little cargo space? For such big cars there should be more trunk space. These cars are not family friendly and not realistic for a family with 3 or more kids.

Joe nice review as usual but 90k for this!!they better go back to the drawing board the new bmw x7 for 90k is much more of a vehicle and that thats low end of the x7!! The dated tech is killing these automakers the millenials are all about tech and value the world is changing especially in the autoworld.. take care joe
