    They knocked it out of the park with the exterior design and seat designs, but you take one look at the dash, gauges and steering wheel and then your just back in 2012.

      I didnt want to break anyones heart but yes.
      I saw the same infotainment system on Infiniti's from the mid-late 2000's.
      Such a pretty truck...it deserves the latest and greatest in infotainment, not some outdated shit from the era of iPods and Myspace.

    Thanks for doing this video. Personally I kind of thought the QX80 was ugly, but in an industry that's trying VERY hard to squash V8 and large liter engines from existence, I'm glad to see Nissan keeping this V8 beast alive.

    Hopefully by 2020 or 2021 if they do something about these, and keep the rest of it’s shape and luxury materials and powerful engine on, it will be the serious dream car to any beast SUV lover!

    @garyblatt8925 5 ปีที่แล้ว +12

    The QX 80 is proof that you can build a truck based on focus groups and market research that has all the right bits and bobs to be the top of the class, but if you execute all those top tier features in a package that resembles the truck/SUV equivalent of the "The Last Jedi", then all you have is a hot mess of poorly executed features that should truly make this truck class leading. Nissan is just on the cusp of a major breakthrough with their full size trucks, SUVs, and vans, but they have not put that package together in a way to take on Ram, Ford, and GM. If Nissan wants something better than a participation trophy, it is not going to take much work, but it is going to be hard work.

    If they gave it a Straight 6 with hybrid combo I think it’s mpg would make it a sweet alternative to consider without compromising too much of its suv utility. It’s a beast so it needs to be put on a diet but it can still look beefy and sexy. Lastly, why cant they add a half door behind the rear door like in the Frontier king cab for easier ingress and exit?

    Rented one for a trip to AZ for daughters ASU graduation. Sold the Suburban. Drove great on the road trip, nice interior, ugly as hell. If I was a TFL Buddy I'd give it a Rent It.

    It is exquisite yes. But basically it's a Nissan Armada with a bow tie....lol. I know I use to build them in Canton,Ms. This vehicle comes down the same line the Armada and Titan truck does. Same parts yada yada. If you're frugal you'd opt for a loaded out Armada. But if you're really into Big names and such.....by all means. Great video!

    Landcruiser or Lexus LX570 would be a way better option than this, the interior of this car is still stuck in the past just like other infiniti interiors. Exterior is where they really shine against others.

    So on their biggest vehicle Infiniti puts the turn signals on the lowest spot on the bumper, you can't even see them in traffic or bad weather. Real smart infiniti!

    That puddle lamp location is pointless. Drive in the snow, and it will be blocked by built up snow under the runner. Then the lamp will be blocked and won't do what it was designed to do. That center info display in the gauge cluster looks like it was taken out of my late model Chevy Equinox. Overall a good looking SUV. Not 91K good, but maybe a solid pre-owned deal in 2-3 years.

    Well. It seems Nissan misses the mark here. There are lots of better value 7 passenger 4wd SUVs and trucks. This is big and expensive, but over priced. It needs lacking center torsen, low range, underbody protection, locking diffs, 11 in of clearance, off-road tires and dampers and crawl control include in the high price. But, it probably won't sell well unless it's under $55k. So. It is what it is
