This is what I've been waiting for! Yeeeeeees! Don't forget that 'One man's trash is another man's treasure' - what may seem boring to you has been invaluable to your audience. This is AMAZING! I think you did a fantastic job! You're just one of those people that aren't boring to watch and listen to. I have so much fun with all of your videos. I think you're hilarious. OMG 😱, Kanella broke you! 🤣. You did an amazing job with the measurements Lisa and I know you say measurements don’t matter, however until you made this video, I always went by measurements. Thanks to this video, I am so much more confident in mixing, without the scales, as I’m understanding it more. Thank you, thank you, 🙏. Love and blessings from Australia. I am now going to be using the scientific ratios of the ‘Bloop’ 🤣♥️🙏💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐

I know Kanella would be so proud of you, for cleaning your scale as you spilled on it.. thank you so much You just don't even know this by far was the most informative video because you didn't only do different types of paint but you were even measuring out the same brand opaque and transparent.. you totally rocked this one out.. as you do all of them.. having a painting party with you would be so much fun hurry up and get your butt down to Charlotte.. 😂😂 thanks again kiddo 💜🥰

@@lisamarvinart hey my awesome friend.. I think you did it in the other video where you mixed up the new SUPs You did it with the whole one gram so if I wanted to only use half of it would I do at the same ratio as the regular TLPs.. in this video..I wrote it all down I just want to make absolute sure before I mix this stuff up little nervous having gold in your hand lol.. so basically if you were mixing up your SUP but only wanted to do half of it you just cut the ratios in half for the TLPs I'm assuming.. Don't mean to sound so dumb I just really don't want to do anything wrong and wasting it I got them today and I really want to use them..

    • @lisamarvinart
      @lisamarvinart  ปีที่แล้ว

@@wearingyourartonyoursleeve I get it! Not dumb! So you need about half the powder with sups as you do with tlp. But for .5, I would half the pm in case bc that’s a really small amount of pigment :)

Great Job Lisa. This is wonderful for beginners, like you I eyeball mine but will still use your measurements here as a guide. I live in California and The BEHR 8300 is not available in California due to all their EPA laws, but I can get the Dynasty and I love it!…Looking forward to seeing the measurements with the Dynasty. Just as a side Note Some beginners in California will pick up the BEHR 8300-2 thinking it is the BEHR 8300 and it is not the same thing as the BEHR 8300-2 had titanium white in it and does not dry clear so the colors become muted and loose their vibrancy. Thank you so much for taking the time to do this video for us.🥰

Thank you so much for making this video! It helps those of us who like to follow “the rules”, but it also showed me how you may have to adjust between opaques and transparents. And even between different colours from the same brand. One size does NOT fit all when mixing paints!!

I will never doubt your bloops again! 😆 You are on fire with your measurements.
Thank you for doing this for us beginners. The one, two, sink is a perfect description for me. I had a "I get it" moment.
I hope HD always has the Behr 8300 because no way I can afford the Behr Dinasty.
I'm in NB, by the way.
I love your attitude and you cracked me up when you said "whatever" and you don't stress even when a golden is sitting open because the cap is in the abyss. Lol
Hope you don't get too sick.
    ❤️

@@lisamarvinart I suppose, like everything else, prices are on the rise. It's like $83 here before taxes. How can people afford to paint their houses with these prices? Lol

Awesome video, Lisa! It was soooo helpful in understanding consistency with different paints. You are an amazing teacher. Where did you post the measurement results for this video?

  • @JorieSteek

Love the lesson on recognizing consistency. Can you now apply what you did today to the pillow consistency? I’m getting one or the other too thick to work together well. Thank you ❤

I think you did really well staying with it and it will help newbies. I weigh in grams so bloops work for me. No, I don’t weigh anything but if I did it would be in grams. If I am making a bottle of pouring medium up I do still measure that because it is too much to waste of either ingredient. I still have to thin or thicken depending on paints and Piggies.
I would never stop your video’s in case you can tell and because I love you. Wait for it! My OCD cannot take anymore. Did you find those two tube paint lids? 😳👀 I feel better now. ❤️
PS My Alexa still hates me and she loves everyone else. If I ask for something she just says no! No other explanation. If my husband asks for the same thing she tells him I think you will like this one I found for you. She is freaky.

I don't have house paint or josanah(sp?) I just use ready pour paints, artist loft, deco art, craftsmart, and masters touch. Pouring medium is artist loft, American floetrol and I have Amsterdam titanium white, oxide black. That's what I have been working with, it's been a ton of trial and error quite a fun learning process. Your video is amazingly useful thank you so much.

Lisa..even though I don't (can't get) use the Behr 8300, the video was super well done. Mostly because it's like being over at your house goofing around, yet being thoughtful on your art technique. Excited to see what you paint with the selection of colors mixed. I'm sure we will all be impressed. Thanks for your time, I can't believe how quickly it went by and I didn't get bored a bit. Your personality shines more than piggies! Wondering if your pm ( I use Valspar ) can be used with zero varnish? I feel like when I mix without it, it's so close to the same consistency as your pm. I might add a baby bloop of varnish. And only enough to wet the piggy as it gets so thin with Valspar. Dynasty is $$ but i guess I'll keep a sample size around to thicken...

Hey Lisa. Totally enjoy everything you do and the video with Kanella was a blast to watch. Here are my thoughts. I think doing the measurements for newbies was a great effort on your part. Saying that, the Bloom is a more difficult technique and I feel, requires a true feel of the paints. Measurements is a good place to start but there are so many adjustments needed it may complicate actually enjoying doing this technique. This technique to me is more about practice and trial and error to find what works for someone individually. Just my 2 cents.

You did a great job - my only problem is my base paint is waaay thinner than yours, so my piggies are always too thin - how much gel medium can i add before i spoil the mix or is there no such thing? The colors on my pours have been flocculating and I was wondering if this is the reason?

I am a newbie. Love what you've shared thus far. For the behr is it a gloss with color? When looked for it those that Ive seen appears to maybe have color? I need this recently divorced adter 23 years and need aomething which can be considered therapeutic.
