- Welcome to Kiwi Pearls. The reaction with this fluid art technique is fascinating to watch, moving and morphing in front of your eyes, you will need a little patience as it won't happen quickly, grab a drink when your tipping is done sit back and enjoy, immerse yourself in your painting and take it all in, I am always surprised how emotional it makes me. PLEASE WEAR GLOVES for your protection, many of these pours I am sharing are from a long time ago and for my own reference I did not intend on sharing them, I do wash my hands immediately after tipping but do NOT recommend that, please be safe.
DETAILS FOR YOU:
Pearl colours:
Jacquard Lumiere: Burgundy, Pewter, Indigo, Silver, Blue + PPM + water.
Pour Over colour:
Jacquard Lumiere: Pearlescent White + a few drops Jo Sonja Titanium white + PM
Jo Sonja: Carbon Black + PM (in the squirt bottle)
Edges paint: Monte Marte Student acrylic black + 75/25 water/floetrol.
Pouring Medium: (PM)
1 part Golden gloss pouring medium
3 parts Aussie floetrol
Pearl Pouring medium: (PPM)
1 part Accent strong base Gloss enamel untinted water-based.
1 parts Pouring Medium. (PM)
I add colour to my mediums until I am happy with them, I don't measure.
No water is added to my pour-over colours unless using heavier-bodied paint.
Water was added to Pearl colours for consistency.
If water is needed I use distilled water, as leftovers keep better.

Just call me Deb, I am addicted to fluid art, and I have been learning my skills since early 2022 after finding @PiecesofTaraArtistry @SaraTaylor @MelyDartist and so many other amazingly generous souls on TH-cam, the reaction and movement of the paint fascinates me, I haven't stopped since, and I can't thank them enough for what this has done for me.
This form of creativity tests me, ignites my imagination, and excites my soul.
I have a goal - to help Kiwis and anyone else interested, find your happy place as I have.
Originals and prints are available on my website.

I’m so sorry. I read every thing after I had already commented.
It is such a pretty piece.
I’ve never painted in my life, as I’m a cement artist & custom shoe designer, but I think I’m going to study a lil more, and try this.
Ty for sharing your talent!

Where did the pearls go at the end. Pretty colours.
@@karenstrong8887 hi Karen, I’m unsure what you mean but I did add a little white to one corner & blow it with a straw which you can see at the top of the dry piece, this was after I stopped recording, the pearls just keep expanding for about 3 hrs and can eat away at the pour over colour, I normally go to bed & check the next morning so don’t record the whole thing, this was recorded for my own reference so the quality isn’t great sorry, I’ve just started sharing these recordings in the hope of inspiring & helping others. I will get better at it if recording for sharing, thank you for your comment I hope i answered your query.
beautiful. Do you have links to the supplies please? what are you doing to the paint with your finger while you wait?
@@applesauceandhoney2407 hi & thank you 🙏 which products would you like the link for? I have the stores I purchase from in my description. I have to go all over the place as not 1 store sells all the products.
I’m using my finger to remove foreign particles & also to adjust the areas I don’t like eg bringing the ends of the drips to a point. Bit hard to explain as I see things I don’t like & just finger dip them away. Hope that’s helpful.
I will try to find links for you if I know what you want them for. 🤞
@@Deborah-Lee-Studios I would love to have links to the paints and the pouring solution you used ( I don't know what it is called floetrol? I am new to this and their are so many options out there. I would rather now experiment but use what you used!!
@@applesauceandhoney2407 where are you from hun, are you in New Zealand ?
You may have to google search to see where you can purchase in your country.
All my products are listed & stores
Australian floetrol is available at Bunnings in NZ & Australia
What did you pour the black.. like oil bottle
@@Haque__Art Hi 👋 the black around the outside is student black mixed with floetrol & water as a flow extender. The other is Jo Sonja carbon black mixed with pouring medium (golden gloss & floetrol)
It is In the description for you. (In the squirt bottle) under pour over colours
@@Deborah-Lee-Studios you’re just so gracious and kind 😊
@@MK-3535 that’s very kind of you, I believe everyone is entitled to their opinion, that is how I was brought up too & raised my own family.
You are most welcome to comment & give advice, as I am new & feeling my way. I love all your comments as that means your interested 😆
Sometimes I don’t read descriptions thoroughly either it’s easy to get confused with too much information at once.
I Respect and appreciate ever comment 🙏
Thank you !
Wh6 don’t you wear gloves? All that paint is toxic and that enters your body through your skin. Please be a good example and wear gloves.
@@xxxx-qo9dh ok dear you are quite right, I will be sure add a warning in the descriptions, these recordings are from my archives for my own reference & never intended to share, not recent, I was watching a lot of MelyD at the time, she always washed her hands immediately as do I, but I see that is not clear in my posts, thank you for the reminder I will endeavour to do the right thing when my posts are like that from now on and update the others. I respect your concern & will address this ASAP.
These paints are non toxic. Not at all like the oil paints of yesteryear. We don’t need to be scolded to set a better example.
@@MK-3535 thank you hun, if we share on a public platform we need to have thick skin, I appreciate you commenting, so pleased your here xx I understand her concern as I have no explanation so it’s my own fault for not thinking of everything, I’m new & learning & must expect criticism 😉
@@MK-3535 by the way I liked your 1st comment ( before edit) 😆
Acrylic paint is non toxic- just sayin.
