What I love the most about you is you think out loud, you observe and verbalize what you’re observing, it’s like what a real teacher does because we’re learning with and through you. And I find that absolutely amazing. You show all your work, whether it works, whether it doesn’t work and I cannot thank you enough for this.

A question, if I may. What makes a cell activator? I had previously thought it was just when white is used, but you said you use colour, too. So, what exactly makes one thing the paint, and another thing the cell activator?

We, as viewers and reasonably new bloomers, just starting our Bloom journey, are very lucky to have you, doing all this work, as well as using your products, ( which are not cheap), to teach us. Thank you so much - what a generous donation of your time!!
The Golden surprised the the most. I liked the Pebeo results but don't think I'd want to stick my face it it... After careful consideration and re-watching the final results four times, my favorite was the Liquitex heavy body.
I appreciated your scientific approach to the whole experiment, and that you did this all in one sitting. Your pool of varied paints was very good - good price range and demonstration of paints accessible to multiple artists. All in all, worth the 42 minutes on our end and I was grateful that you posted.

FYI, I use Amsterdam tit. white, or Liquitex Basics tit. white as bases in my Dutch Pours where my paints are all mixed with just water and all the same consistency, and I actually get some cells with the Liquitex basics, much more that the Amsterdam. Don’t know about CA’s, have only used the Amsterdam for white CA

Atelier paints are branded “interactive” as they have an additive that allows them to be reworked when dry. This may have caused the issue. I have had similar problems and don’t use them for blooms or pouring.

Windsor Newton, Amsterdam and golden are winners.

Thanks for doing this Lisa. I was surprised that they all worked and especially using the Liquitex heavy body. My favourite one was Amsterdam too. Since we are in Canada have you ever tried any of the Canadian Tire paints for a pillow? ❤️

Very interesting!!! And educational! I’m with you though Amsterdam all the way!! If in the USA you can order it from Michaels online and they will ship it to you!

Lissa, I thing you have a magic mouth because you were able to get cells with all of these paints. I struggle sometimes getting those beautiful cells you get. Thank you so much for such educational video.

Please do the same test with American flietrol. It would really help those of us who find the aussie floetrol too expensive in u.s.

Wow..... that took a minute but I really wanted to see which paint to use as a cell activator because people use so many different ones. So, I will go with Amsterdam, Liquitex heavy body or Windsor & Newton. Again, thank you for doing this comparison. 😃 Should just keep my mouth shut but.... lots if people use white and black cell activators. Why?? And does the black act differently than the white. 🤷‍♀️

Lisa, I am new so with Amsterdam do you just pour it straight from tube or bottle or must you add medium and or water and anything else to get it to work as a CA?

Yeah, Arteza claims to be heavy body. But I find it to be more of a medium body.

So on your ca you don't want it to sink right in you want it to leave a small Trace is that correct? Because the last batch I got which took forever and was in the winter I know it got Frozen and that's a whole new story but curious about it just sinking right in or should it leave at least a one second Trace? Please and thank you. And appreciate you doing this. 😋💞💞
