Lisa, one of the things I love about you is your spontaneity. Your personality makes for not only educational videos but also entertaining ones. Keep up the great work and be yourself.
Lisa. I watched the first video and I didn't write anything down and waited until you ended the video. I love your spontaneous, and what can be perceived as an unorganized personality. I expect it because you are a CREATOR! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽💣💯😉 I never get bored with you and your funny family. 😂🤣😂🤣 You make your videos fun, personable and it's YOU. I liked your disclaimer for people to MOVE ON if they're bothered with your presentation. The narcissist wants you to appeal to their senses but they're just an observer. I appreciate the time you all make in editing and going out of your comfort zone to accommodate us, the viewers. Keep it coming because you are not in a box and BE FREE💯🦋. I am sure it's challenging to expose your genuineness before a bunch of wandering strangers on TH-cam. Do know that many of us enjoy being subscribed and look forward to seeing what is your next project. After seeing you with Kanella, I am surprised you made the effort to purchase a scale ⚖. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 I am done with my commentary and on with this video 📹 🤣😂🤣😂✌🏽👊🏽😘 No one is talking about the differences of transparent, opaque, and how to use them if they haven't taken Sheleeart course. THANK YOU BECAUSE YOU ENCOURAGED AND HELPED ME. I just saw you have a video on transparent paints. 💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾💯✌🏽💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾
Lisa, it’s truly appreciated that you address different pouring mediums and different products. After all, we live in different places and restricted to our locals supplies. As for the measuring, I break it down to grams when needed. You do a great job at responding to your audience and appreciate learning what others use etc. Keep on keeping on Lisa❤
So grateful that you took the time and were able to make this enjoyable. I learned not to be constrained by formula but trust the consistency. Terrific video. Thank you for sharing ❣️
Hey Lisa! I love that you think out loud with us. Showing us your thought process and showing us how things work out in real time is priceless. I can understand someone with no experience at all being a little lost but, with just a little knowledge, your video’s become priceless. Thank you. Keep on keepin’ on!!
You are probably the only artist who could keep my interest for 45 minutes on a mixing video Miss Lisa! The singing, banter and education was worth it. I know it's not your forte as you mentioned but good for you to push yourself and stay focused. I would have been taking snack breaks, checking my email, painting....So thanks for giving of your time..which is all we got right?? And to all the comments about you doing it differently?? Yep just move on. But you know they are still copying exactly what you just taught! And love your love story too.💕
Lisa, I think the job you do for us is so important. Personaly I am so happy to follow you here and in our Sheleeart group. The people who don't like what you do they can just go away from us. Go on my dear helping us. More when we are in other countries and we have to adjust so many things to get nice bloom! Love you and enjoy your weekend for Eliot's birthday!
Lisa, the main thing that I love about you is your personality and sincere authenticity! It is so sad that to do everything you do for us, you have to face such negativity. Unfortunately, I think since the Covid pandemic, people seem more short tempered, and rude. Just know I really appreciate everything you do for us!❤️❤️❤️
Well we can now tell people a bloop is .01 of an ounce!!! Thanks for doing this for us. So helpful. Naysayers just need to move on. You’re awesome and we love what you’ve done for the Shelee art blooming community
Keep up the great work! I love that you show it in real time, this is how you learn! I needed a refresher and this did it for me. Thank you. I learn so much from you!!
Thank YOU for YOUR videos. Because of you, I did buy Jo Sonya, and im indeed stuck with my Behr for now. I dont know how you do all the content you do on top of taking care of home, kids, family food etc....haha. I m messy as the art is what matters.your priorities are that of an artist. Thanks for helping us. I need it. Taking a huge break .It's like starting over....anyways wanted you hear from one of many who can't learn ENOUGH!!
Hey Lisa, just come across this video. I love the preamble and chat and that you are prepared to spend so much time evolving as you go along. I live in Scotland really struggle with the bloom technique and your expertise has helped a ton! Thank you so much. Sorry to hear that there are ignorant people out there. This is ART and it is Fun 😍. I shall be watching more of your informative videos - keep em coming!
Lisa, thank you so much for taking the time to do this video. It is very helpful to see you actually mixing the paints and to see what consistency that you use. I love your painting.
Oh Lisa, I loved part one, and plan to love part 2. Having watched you for years, I know it took a great deal of dedication to giving us this information. I’m delighted you shared this with us and want to thank you and encourage you to keep on with your unique and informative videos. You are very loved for just exactly who you are!!! ❤️❤️
Thank you Lisa for putting yourself out there, helping us learn, get inspired and have a few laughs. People need to learn how to relax and not be so uptight...it's only paint! I have watched alot of videos from lots of different artists..that is how you learn. Keep on being you😘
I do enjoy having measurements but understood and appreciated how Part 1 video was done. I followed along and took notes as you spoke, not a problem for me in the least. I strongly feel that in watching a video (at times), and in order to grasp its meaning, you do need to watch it a second time (or more). Sometimes I run into a video where the speaker is unclear due to volume, voice distortion or not enunciating properly, I rewind many times to that segment and listen so very carefully ... as it is pertinent information. Your videos are clear and volume is great while recording ... explanation is awesome. Watched Part 2 and enjoyed it so much, thank you. You are appreciated.
I think your videos are great Lisa. I learn heaps from them. I use measurements as a guide and then adjust by eye if need be. I think you are doing a great job. 👍 👱♀️🍀🎨🇦🇺
Thank you soooooo much for doing this, it is appreciated and very helpful…Happy Birthday to your Hubby, photo of you two is adorable and love the story🥰
I have watched your part 1 video and am very willing to sit with respect to your teaching of mixing bloom paint. I believe what it takes to mix colours prior to painting is a chore. Not my favourite part of the pouring journey. If they the complainers go and apply in a visual arts course 😊and pay for their tutorials. My I prefer yourself as I am in a comfortable and I stressful environment my home. Thank you for taking the time to share your knowledge and experimental experiences it is fun. Cool bananas Lisa.
Firstly, I’m from Australia and our ingredients are very different to what you have in Canada, USA and other parts of the Globe. I have watched both of your mixing videos from start to finish and thoroughly enjoyed them. So, too all the Naysayers out there, if you have nothing nice to say, say nothing. After all, it is not you sitting there, hours on end, making a video to help people with their bloom recipe. You are also not the ones, spending money, unnecessarily on ingredients for the pouring medium and mixing acrylic paints, that may not be used in months, if at all. Please put yourself in Lisa’s and other TH-camrs place’s and be kind. No one is holding a gun to your head, forcing you to watch. Thanks again Lisa, for another great video. Love to you and your family ♥️🙏💐💐💐
Loved the video, you never fail to amuse and teach at the same time; I love that about you!. And you do such great work; you inspire me to pieces.:) You mentioned going to the Falls: I grew up and spent 35 years in Erie, Pa. My family and I and eventually my boyfriend/ husband and I use to go to "The Falls" all the time and to Toronto occasionally. Seen a number of concerts there in the mid to late 70's. I don't know if its still there but I loved 'Ontario Place" and still have a number of photos from back then:)
Tell you what I have been having problems with my blooms lately and this video was exactly what I needed! I think I have been mixing my paints a little thin lately and Most definitely I have been mixing my piggies to thin (although brand new to the piggy world so just trying to get a hang of those) anyway I just wanted to say thank you! You are appreciated!
Lisa I really appreciate what you're doing, so pay not mine to people whom have nothing to do but been such of dumbass because is nothing happened in there live and they decided to do that to people like you whom really care for others and go the extra mile to help others, thanks so much.
Okay I just jumped back to video one and in this video where I said I was using too much behr 8300 . I didn't measure but I take that back looking at your bloops out of the can , I just use a popsicle stick and put some in my 4 oz cup, but my question is I was going for 3 second Trace for some reason I was thinking you had a video or a comment when people were asking which is very kind of you to pop in but I believe and correct me if I'm wrong that you said a 3 second Trace and I get it these videos are 1 yr. old. So thankful for you doing this and it's always a pleasure to watch you you make your videos not just I'm at a loss for lack of words right now but it's your humor and all that mixed together makes a great video.
Lisa I loved these two videos! I am not sure this is significant to this exercise, but the cups you are using are 4 fluid ounces which is a volume measure and the scale measurements are ounces which are weight measures. Not all ounces will be the same fluid ounces. I may be the only nerd who picked this up and again not sure it really makes any difference in these small volumes we are using. I guess it might be important to the person without the scale who takes your ratios and uses volumes instead of weights. Anyway thanks for doing this. I think it was very educational!😊
Big Thanks for all your advice, given freely and with a sense of humour. You have helped me tremendously (along with other talented artists in the Sheele Art Course) since I first started in February. I can still remember when, if you wanted to learn anything new, you had to go to a library or buy a book or pay for lessons. Soooooo, you are valued and your talent is appreciated by those of us that understand these particular videos were out of your comfort zone and time consuming, and you still made them for us. I don't usually comment on things, but I was pissed off because you looked a bit upset when you were discussing the comment made. Thank you Lisa, your time is appreciated! Now, i still need to apologize for leaving your Patreon-account. At first i didn't notice but my creditcard was expired. We don't use it as much in Europe as you guys do, so it took me a while to get what happened. It closed down the Patreon- account without a warning. When i found out, i was in a different painting-flow, not so much blooming but more scoope and stretch so i decided to go find a tutor on that. You know times are hard with all the prices going up because of the gas and war 😢. So THANK YOU VERY MUCH for what i learned on your PATREON-account, you are a GREAT TEACHER❣️ and in the future i will be following you and maybe join again for some time. Continue to be lovely and have a nice day 💕
I love all yr videos. Yr relaxed down to earth way is as appealing as yr beautiful art. Dont justify yrself and dont change because someone wants to moan. How much of their time it takes to complain rather than to click onto next video. Sad. Luv u and yr bloop measurements as im sure many others do too. Thanks for sharing x
Lisa, love that you are doing this! I prefer your “glup” method myself. But, dang girl you have really put yourself out there for folks when you could be spending time painting or with your family. You are a very special person.❤. Question do you have “a Lowes” up there? If you do, try the Valspar Base C sometime. It does not smell and I find it comparable to Behr. Just an FYI.🤗
Lisa I watched your last video I miss the part when you went to mix the TLP. But what you're doing is super super I don't even have the words for it nice great and you don't have to do this and I appreciate it because I am having so much trouble with the bloom technique. So kudos to you for taking your time out to help all of us that watch your videos love your art and so much more. So once again thank you for doing this and I need to go back to that last video because I did find I'm using too much bear 8300 when mixing in a 4 oz cup and yes I go by ounces that I don't weigh them either. So yes you done this is a major big help. 👏 🤩🤩💞💞💞💞
I don't remember the video number if it would just be one number below this one but I'd like to go back and watch it and this is a year old so I was thinking I remember one of your videos on mixing not in the depth of this one but I thought it was a 3 second Trace not like the two or two and a half? I hate to ask you but could you give me the link to your first video on that 8300 behr mixing video. Please and thank you. You're such a sweetheart for doing this.
OMG, going crazy trying to find that gorgeous blue Holbein color, to no avail. Unless it’s ‘compose blue #2’. Please, please please let me know. And your strawberry red looks very different than my strawberry red. I do love Arteza pearls.
Hey Lisa I was very interested in that Holbein color but I searched the internet for hours and never found a color by Holbein with that spelling. I love the turquoises green it is. Anyway to find out what color it actually is! Thanks for taking the time to do this video I know it was way out of what you like to do and appreciate you helping us all out! Thanks again!
Thank you for this video. You always make me smile 😅 I’m not into measuring either! In cooking, I cannot give my exact recipe for sauces or salad dressings because I just eyeball and taste as I go along. Oh well, it works for people like us! Thanks again 🥰
I love watching your videos Lisa. You crack me up and make it fun. Unfortunately, there will always be whingers, complainers, naysayers, cynical, critical and the judgmental. Block them from your comments and put them out of your thoughts. Hugs from, Gina Mac of Queensland, Australia. 😊❤️🙏🇦🇺🐨🎨
If they don't like it they can move along because I like it and I'm sure there are a lot of other people out there that like it as well because you're explaining it as you're going along and some things are just easier when you see the frustrations and you see what you're doing as to trying to help us so just ignore them
It's funny, but I just eyeball things too. Never have measured yet still watched this whole video lol. Question though, is there at all a different housepaint that can be used that's similar in the US, that's not $70? I could get it, but man I'm just too frugal too haha. Happy late birthday to your hubby!
Hey Lisa, it’s me again lol I just bought the Dynasty which is 72 dollars in the states where I got it… Anyway, what should mix with it and is it three to one? Because it’s expensive I don’t wanna waste it. It makes it with something stupid so I’m asking you lol😅😅😅
You're adorable 💕! You're an absolute rockstaress for slogging through a process that hurts your brain-commendable, girlfriend. You don't need to defend yourself. Do your thing because it's awesome. This mixy-mix was super helpful! Thank you!💐
Lisa hello I have a question please what the number on the can for your behr dynasty I can’t find the right consistency like you have anywhere every time I look at the paint and they open it at the paint shop at Home Depot. It doesn’t look right there’s a different color to it so I’m questioning if you wouldn’t mind, give me the number to the Dynasty that you use. I would appreciate it very much. Thank you so much. I appreciate you. Have a wonderful evening

I LIKE that you did it on camera. It helps us when we need to adjust. You show us how.

@@lisamarvinart You're quite welcome!! 🤗 Math brain gives me headaches, LOL!! 😂
Is it ok to add water to get the right consistency?
Lisa I watched your last video I miss the part when you went to mix the TLP. But what you're doing is super super I don't even have the words for it nice great and you don't have to do this and I appreciate it because I am having so much trouble with the bloom technique. So kudos to you for taking your time out to help all of us that watch your videos love your art and so much more. So once again thank you for doing this and I need to go back to that last video because I did find I'm using too much bear 8300 when mixing in a 4 oz cup and yes I go by ounces that I don't weigh them either. So yes you done this is a major big help. 👏 🤩🤩💞💞💞💞
Hi Lisa✋🏽 I learned a lot today about measuring you paints. What kind of scale are you using?
😃 yay hubby… That’s what my husband does…❤️
I don't remember the video number if it would just be one number below this one but I'd like to go back and watch it and this is a year old so I was thinking I remember one of your videos on mixing not in the depth of this one but I thought it was a 3 second Trace not like the two or two and a half? I hate to ask you but could you give me the link to your first video on that 8300 behr mixing video. Please and thank you. You're such a sweetheart for doing this.
OMG, going crazy trying to find that gorgeous blue Holbein color, to no avail. Unless it’s ‘compose blue #2’. Please, please please let me know. And your strawberry red looks very different than my strawberry red. I do love Arteza pearls.
Lisa, your tutorial is awesome! I'm trying to find (without hobein name) the paint on Amazon. No luck. Can you repeat name for me?
Question did you find your caps off the last video. Just playing around with you. 🤣🤣
Found it! Cyprus green!
Awesome!!! Thanks so much!
Thank you for this video. You always make me smile 😅 I’m not into measuring either! In cooking, I cannot give my exact recipe for sauces or salad dressings because I just eyeball and taste as I go along. Oh well, it works for people like us! Thanks again 🥰
Me too! 😂
If they don't like it they can move along because I like it and I'm sure there are a lot of other people out there that like it as well because you're explaining it as you're going along and some things are just easier when you see the frustrations and you see what you're doing as to trying to help us so just ignore them
I have a question I live in Belgium and can't get a berh don't know what to use, do you have a suggestion for me. Thanks in advance
you've mixed up a lot of paint - how long do you usually allow before they must be used up?
They can last a while! Just might have to thin it out if it thickens up!
It's funny, but I just eyeball things too. Never have measured yet still watched this whole video lol. Question though, is there at all a different housepaint that can be used that's similar in the US, that's not $70? I could get it, but man I'm just too frugal too haha. Happy late birthday to your hubby!
Have you ever tried mixing in a piggy or two to see what effects you may get from them? It could be magical 🎉
Mixing a piggy into a tube paint? Yes! I’ve made amazing colours!
Thank you!💐
Lisa, have you used the dyanasty yet in a pour? I’ve been trying it out and wondered what you think?
I don’t love it 😂
@@lisamarvinart I think it is too thin. Do you? I also thought it made the tlps milky before it dries.
How long will the bloom mixes keep if sealed properly? Clearly, you're not going to use the entire cup in a single project.
3653 :)
@ thank you so much have a wonderful weekend
Are you in Toronto? Fellow Torontonian?
Vert de Chine - is chinese green tea
Oh, so you’ve been both sides?? I’ve only been to one side US side.
Wow, that’s so weird. I didn’t think I would like that color but it actually looks strawberrish
Your giving people FREE information and still there are complaints🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
I just subscribed, love your videos.🍻
Aw thank you!
OK, I will say it for you if this is not your cuppa tea move the hell on OK continue😅😊
😂😅
