There's this vid where they're trying different candies and I remember feeling irate that Rachel kept talking over Jun and dominating the convo but then I started noticing how Jun would look at her and smile or giggle at something she did or said. Anyway, that's when I realized Jun loves that about her like a lot cos the way he stares at her really pulled my heartstrings. I felt shitty that I judged Rachel like that. They're super cute together 🥺

So, with the icing problems. My mother makes a lot of fancy sugar cookies, so I make the icing. Things I have learned over a few years:
-Red is flipping impossible. Always pink or orange. Let that bad boy sit on the counter overnight, and it will darken up nicely.
-To make icing colors go together, mix about a tablespoon of the first into the second, second into third, third into fourth, and so on. This adjusts the undertones of the colors.
-please, don’t use powder color if possible. Use gel, Americolor, Wilton, etc. (am American, so I don’t know if there’s anything similar in Japan). Powder will make the icing stiffer to use.
To anyone else trying to mix icing, good luck, it’s hard, I don’t always get things right, even with a whole bunch of practice.

Hi! I like your tip about mixing the icing colors so that they blend better. I'll have to try that. As for the red, try coloring your frosting pink first with pink food coloring and then add the red food coloring. It will become red much faster with less food coloring. Hope this helps! 💕
I could never get a Christmas red for sugar cookie frosting, so one year I experimented with adding beet root powder and was pretty happy with the results.

I dunno that I ever heard Jun joking around so much, it's nice to hear him so relaxed and having fun.
Some highlights. Nagi, ensuring the humans know absolutely that he owns all of the placemats. It's been 175 years. Poki and Pichi, against the world. Human man and do clowns have rights (They don't, according to Rachel.) Making it snow but hardened sugar flying out and presenting a terrible hailstorm to Gingerbread kind. Skiing suddenly giving Human Man Clown Guy rights at last. Expired icing. Icing that looks expired but isn't. Mysterious icing all over the house forevermore in obscure places. Pichi is like our cat. She was a very shy adult rescue. My dad would wrap her in the softest blanket & pet her scruff zone everyday. I thought she didn't like it, but after a month, she would jump in his lap when blanket time came!

I don't know why you both so cute.I mean it's ust building a gingerbread house, normally I am realy not a fan of these videos, on other people I would find it so boring. Makes it all the sadder that she's only a temporary housemate. Poki's closeness to her is something I never would've expected as he's usually seen being more wild than the other two. I figured big brother Haku would be the one to comfort her as he's so chill. But I really like this twist instead.

The entire use of "house" and "man" in "gingerbread house" and "gingerbread man" implies that it is the shape, not the substance, of their matter which characterizes them. The gingerbread man is made of gingerbread and gingerbread only- not house, because they are not shaped as a house- and vice versa.

My husband and I were going to make gingerbread tea cup cookies. Their mini gingerbread cookies that sit on the edge of your cup. But we didn’t get to them yet. We can make them in between Christmas and New Year’s!
