- Wing Commander Pooja Thakur conjures a motivational talk that urges youngsters to push themselves to their limits and rediscover themselves in the process.
Who better to represent the strong and independent women of the nation than Wing Commander Pooja Thakur, the first Indian woman officer to lead the Guard of Honour for a major visiting dignitary at the presidential palace? An administrative officer with nearly 14 years of experience in the Indian Air Force, Wg Cdr Thakur garnered innumerable plaudits and the respect of the entire nation after she saluted the POTUS with exemplary confidence. She was also actively involved with the development of “Guardians of the Sky,” a mobile gaming app launched by DISHA, the publicity division for officers’ induction of the IAF. Wing Commander Thakur epitomises the notion that women are equal to men in all aspects and inspires young girls throughout the country to stand tall and confident.

On This Day I Decided To Get Into The Air Force...In The Same Year An Announcement Was Made To Induct Women As Fighter Pilots ....Wing Commander Pooja Thakur Ma'am Really Inspired Me A Lot... Though my Grandpa was in Air Force too and he has many Gallantry Awards he was also in the prestigious 1971 war...But whenever someone asks me why decided to make career in Defense Forces.. Though my Grandpa is the role model of my life but she showed me the direction... She inspired me to break my limits and I swear Pooja Ma'am I will achieve my dream and will make everyone feel proud

OK ! OK ! I get this ! You are proud of yourself along with your family members and I get this because working for the IAF can be very good ! And as usual , our countrymen and women always enjoy these soft core motivational talks etc. and yet again forgetting the real issues like one of them being, the depreciating strength of the Air force against China and with high possibly of Pakistani Air force ganging up with the Chinese Air force vs the IAF in case of........ and the overall situation is simply not good ! But again we do not have to talk about this because its not important than this motivational talk .
Good-luck with that ! Hope Chinese and Pakistani Air-force are going to be impressed with this !
