  • 95% of North Americans either go to bed or wake up worrying about something. Yet, worrying is the #1 killer of creativity, performance and dreams. When revolutionary brand strategist Isabelle Mercier-Turcotte discovered “What we tolerate we worry about,” she realized a little structure brings a lot of inner flexibility and freedom. The result is her simple yet powerful model to help you instantly decrease worry and increase peace of mind.
Isabelle Mercier - isabelle@leapzonestrategies.com - is a ‘no-nonsense’ dynamo born to catapult passionate entrepreneurs to build infectious and impactful brands, businesses and lives.

My name is Stephanie and I was also the bully at my school. I am so sorry to anyone who felt my wrath. I was isolated within my own family due to my mother's rejection of who I was. My sadness & loneliness manifested into anger & ruthlessness. I hope that anyone I hurt has healed and went on to meet life with nothing but acceptance and success.

My patients loved me, my family members loved me...but I never had any defense. Up tp two years ago, bullied by the healthcare system that left me to die. I survived, and then still got no help. I never EVER enabled a bully. Don't think I am boasting and all proud, because while I can thank God for the strength and fortitude, I wasn't unscathed - a lot of abuse FOR not going along with the bullies. "Do not be afraid to speak your truth" That's exactly what I did 7 weeks ago before I handed in my notice of resignation after 11&1/2 years as a financial controller of a private co., instead of slaving long hours for another 6 months to implement a new system with no guarantee of a promised pay rise. Bloody Amazing feeling to take back one's power when your boss denies your request for a review & attempts to discredit you 'as a person' to justify his decision instead of judging my "impeccable work" performance. Yes you read that right "impeccable..." - and those were his words.

Great talk and I particularly appreciated the way in which you admitted to still worrying yourself.
In Buddhism there is this idea that "what you turn your mind to you become"and I very much paralyse myself with worry much of my life.
Learning to live in the moment and put worries aside for later is a very good thing.

This is awesome and very well told! Love your style and you do look free from worries! My father was a worrying person until the day he died. He worried about his children, family, loved ones, even the politics and the country, so we, as the children, have to make him not worry. I quit that cycle because it was manipulative and I don’t want to hide things just to make him not worry. I was hated big time by the family when I told the my truth. Felt guilty a bit but I felt free and liberated to be me and live my life. It is my life, his happiness is his responsibility, not mine.

So true! After I going though separation from my ex, my "appointment's with worry" was my therapy I had for a year. Talking about everything that I was upset about and going through used to make me feel worse. I felt relieved when it ended. Going to the gym during that year was very therapeutic and empowering. Also, saying "no" to toxic people. 💪
    Amazing TED talk, thank you!🙌❤☺

Today I spoke my truth and got rid of such a weight !!! THANK YOU.
I'm glad I stumbled upon this eye opening message a few days ago. I've been very stressed about a project I was asked to volunteer for. At first I was in but once I started to get more information about it and start to work with the team I had this guy feeling inside of me telling me I wasn't feeling it and that I didn't want to do it.
But I didn't listen to myself and tried as hard as I could to force myself into it but deep down, I knew I was forcing myself (and not in a good way).
It was litteraly consuming me with worry.
So today I decided I was going to be brave and SPEAK MY TRUTH, be HONEST.
And guess what ??? The person I spoke with was really understanding and kind and thanked me for my honesty.
I am so happy that I took the decision to be honest. Now I feel so relieved and I feel stronger.

TRUTH ON FIRE. love it. I strive to live this way...compassionate but honest and yes, some people may not like it, but as soon as I feel an unease or just "tolerating" something, I shift, speak my truth and low and behold...I am peaceful, satisfied and the other person or situation can get on however it does...it is personal freedom on a daily basis that can then translate miraculously into peace of mind, better health and better more fulfilling relationships. Booya.
