I love that you don't product push. You're a MAC man, and you let us know about it, but you don't stress that it's the only way to go. I really appreciate that :)
You have amazing tips and techniques! I also really like that you do more how-to and informative videos rather just looks. I've learned oodles from you!
    Love you Koren! :D

This was hugely helpful. The few extremely popular makeup gurus that I am subscribed to have never mentioned or explained the stipple & swirl method vs just stippling. I recently bought a stippling brush and used the stipple and swirl method because that is how I seen the gurus use the brush and never liked the sheer coverage it gave or the finished texture. So THANK YOU very much for this!!!

THAT HELPS SO MUCH!!!!!!! Thank you for showing and explaining all that. I have both brushes, Mac 187 and the round mop brush. I don't mess with the stippling brush because I don't feel like I get the amount of coverage I want. THANK YOU!

This was such a helpful post! I've always seen people demonstrate foundation routines with stippling brushes where they stipple then swirl, and that's how I thought the technique was done. Thank you soooo much for clearing this up! I tried the stippling technique done the right way, and I can't believe what a difference it makes! Thank you for all of your video postings-you help so many people including me!

thank u so much for this video!!! I'd given up on my stippling brush cuz I thought I was wasting way too much product in the bristles...I didn't realize I was applying it wrong. I also have acne scars/pock marks and I am so glad you have helped me lessen them with this demo. Love u

Thanks for the great tips! The lay told me to use the stipple brush to buff and swirl it on. I'm glad you showed the importance of only stippling. It makes a great coverage on my skin. I have acne scars and the stippling really softens them up!

I've been using the ELF stipple brush and it works great. I have only watched tutorials with the stipple and swirl method. I had no idea I could just stipple. I just tried it and love the look SO much better! It's more flawless. Thanks for the tips!

Oh my goodness! I am SOOO glad you made this video! I thought i was crazy for using a cheap powder brush just like the second one you used to stipple and swirl my foundation! I've been looking everywhere for a stippling brush so i can be a little bit more professional about my technique, but i can't find one anywhere. To be honest, the brush i'm using works great! So thanks to you, i'm not going to waste my money on a stippler!

Dear Koren, I´ve just tried it on my face with enlarged pores. Half stipple and half both. If I just stipple, it looks cakey and really heavy. If I stipple a lot and then swirl a little and VERY gently, the results are better. At least on me. But I still prefer the 190. Thanks. Your vids are soooo helpful!!!

Thank you ! Thank you so much for removing my obsession for the 187 !! In Europe it is about €44, and to top it all up I have to pay for postage too, because there's no Mac store in my country. As you said, I can work better off with another brush, which in fact I do have. You are great :-)

i recommend using a face primer - this will initially fill in the pores prior to foundation, so that it doesnt sink in to the pores, making the resul more flawless looking.

yeah thats one problem many complains about colorstay -- you dont have much playtime, meaning time to work and blend it as it dries so quickly. You can try using a different foundation that doesnt dry as fast, or you can try using a damp brush.

with liquid foundation, you will notice less streaking when using a 187 vs 190, and it will be less blending. You can achieve a more airbrushed look with the 187 than the 190. I have a video called 190 vs 187 that might explain more.

its advisable to wash foundation brushes every use, moreso than other brushes as its one brush that more proned to bacteria buildup as it picks up sebum from your skin.

you want to apply very lightly to expression lines, as the foundation is going to crease in those areas. What they are seeing are the crease lines your foundation make when your face makes expressions.

Hi gail -- try stippling, stand back from mirror and look at where it needs more -- even that out by stippling only those areas -- THEN, when you powden, that should smooth it all out. Press and pat the powder instead of brushing it on. It gives a more flawless look to the stippled foundation.

This Lowell Cornell brush is a Watercolor mop brush- meaning I'd spray it with brush cleaner as EmKore directs but if you need to give it a full water rinse it's designed to be wet, and will dry pretty well. This is a big advantage over most makeup brushes; large brushes full of liquid foundation are the dickens to clean.
