I received many inquiries as to how they can prevent their foundation from 'cake-ing', and when I ask to see how they apply their foundation, I am quite surprised that everyone is 'cake-ing' on their foundation right off the bat. Remember, caked-on foundation is 'human error' - you caked that on your skin! By applying too much initially. So this 17min in-depth video talks about proper way to match your foundation, prep & priming the skin, my preferred application technique on applying cream foundation, and setting tips. This also applies to mousse, gels, and tube foundations. Altho real helpful to Beginers, I think this video will benefit everyone including Pros. I hope this video helps. I never realized I was under-powdering. Thanks for the setting powder tip - I thought that ashy look was bad and avoided it. I didn't shy away from the powder this morning and after letting the powder set, my foundation looks flawless. Great video!

Your video was sooo helpful. I was doing everything wrong, like using moisturizer instead of oil control lotion and applying it 20 to 30 minutes before makeup... Thanks for making such helpful videos...

@Jinete9999 i like contouring with foundation, it gives a more natural effect. Then I use colored powders like matt eyeshadows and matt bronzers in brown tones if I need to intensity more if needed.
@everydaykidinus to wet your brush or sponge? sure u can use reg ater- avoid tap tho - use bottled or filtered.

@thesocaltrojan sure you can use reg water. Avoid tap tho - cuz of the calcium dposite. Bottled or filtered is great.

Hey Koren! thanks for this vid!! I have tried every foundation out there pretty much and now I find out it was me all along! :) Do you have to use a puff to apply powder or can you use a brush and get the same result?
