Bravo brother! A question for you. Let say I do 3x full body training a week. Should I go to fail on every set, on all days? Or maybe have 1 day heavy, one light and one medium?
    Thanks you are a beast!

      Thank you bro !
Honestly it mostly depends on your goals, fitness level and recovery capacity... But let's say that most optimal approach for balanced performance improvement (power, pure strength and strength & endurance) would look something like that, I would go with lower intensity / higher volume, and higher intensity / lower volume workouts and I would choose to change them from day to day, week to week or month to month ( you can go all week / month on high volume and then go for high intensity the other week / month, or you can change it on every single workouts, which ever works for you), most important thing is to notice that for a long term progress, any of these approaches would give you similar results, even though it may not look like it when comparing them on a week to week or month to month basis.
When it comes to training to failure, you can definitely go for it in your last set of the workouts, but going for failure on every single set is not necessary, it may even be counterproductive since fatigue will hinder with overall volume you're able to hit and recovery (muscular and systemic) will last much longer, and coming to your next workout while still feeling tired from your previous one is worst for progress than just reducing one or two reps from failure. Maybe on one workout you can focus more on you upper body and get it close to failure while taking it a bit easier on your lower part, and then you do the opposite the next workout. Giving it your all on every full body workout is really not the best solution for a long term progress.
Best way to determine how should you do it is to just see how fast your body can recover from workout to workout, but with training 3 days a week there should really be no problem in choosing any one of the approaches from above since your body have plenty of time to rest.
Just experiment and find the approach that is mostly enjoyable for you to follow, because again, for a long term progress its much more important to enjoy the process, because that will keep you motivated to keep going, other things may be better on paper, but lose their purpose if you simply don't enjoy doing them. 🙏👊
