My son is 16 with heartfaiulre and is going through the same feelings that Jared was going through before his transformation. He was born with tretology of fallot and has had open heart surgeries several times. He has been in and out of the hospital most of his life. My son's situation is a challenge he actually needs to loose weight to improve his health and we have tried everything but despite anything the doctors explain or we explain, it seems he's given up. I am forwarding this video to him with hopes that it will inspire him. It definitely has inspired me. Thank you for sharing.

If you ask someone how to enter Heaven, they will most likely say, "Be a good person." Well the Bible says that none is good, no not one. We like to compare ourselves to guys like Hitler and say, "Hey, I'm a pretty good guy compared to him." But when we compare ourselves to God's standard, we realize that the Bible speaks truth when it says that we all sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God! When we see this ( our sin in its TRUE light), we see how much trouble we are in and we say, "Well then there's nothing I can do. I'm going to hell for sure then." It's true that there is nothing that WE can do, but there is something that has already been done for you! God sent His One and Only Son to die on a cross as a sacrifice for our sins! So to recieve that eternal sweet sweet forgiveness, all we must do is repent of our sins (meaning to continually turn from them and confess them) and trust alone in Christ as you trust a parachute. If I was to push you out of an airplane, you'd want the parachute for sure! Don't try to flap your arms and save yourself, trust in the parachute!! His finished work on the Cross IS ENOUGH!!! He is the only way to Heaven, He said it Himself!! These other religions teach that we must he good and do good things and then maybe if we've been good enough, we will enter Heaven. But if that is true then we are all doomed to eternal hell because none of us are good. That's why this makes sense. Look at the Ten Commandments, they are written on your heart right now!! I promise that you have violated them. And you might still be doing that today. Therefore God is just to poor out His wrath on you because you deserve it!!!! I do too but Christ died for me anyway so that I can spend eternity in Heaven with Him!!!! Turn to Him today, and He and only He will save your soul! "Verily, verily I say unto you, you must be born again ( to go to Heaven)."✝️

As a physician I am embarrassed by my profession and the ignorance that most docs have when it comes to strength training and exercise. Telling a kid with 35% lung function to do a bunch of cardio is absolutely ridiculous. By the grace of god Jared had the sense to pack on some muscle and gain some strength. And it probably saved his life. Stay strong my friend.

    • @minimalisthealth
      @minimalisthealth 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +118

There's no need to be embarassed by your whole profession just because they don't get some aspects right. Health is a complicated field and they are bound to get q few things wrong. On the balance though, physicians save lives and improve health outcomes at a population level. Doesn't mean the field shouldn't keep striving for improvement, but it's still among the most noble professions around. A lot of us seemingly healthy people would've been dead were it not for treatment from physicians that we now take for granted.

Yes, more research needs to be done. If it happened more than once it is possible that there is a trend being overlooked. That's why case studies are important. Physicians need to be incentivized to do more research. They should be paid for the time they spend building a case study for example.

My uncle is my idol. He was born with cystic fibrosis also. Like you said the mucus clogged his airways and made it very hard for him to breathe, but he never let this stop him. He was always there for me wether it was me feeling sad or his last Christmas with me, he always made time to care for not only me, but other people. In 2018 he had a double long transplant. We were told the chances of him surviving were low, but we continued praying to god and fighting with him. Fortunately god protected him throughout the operation and he survived. We were told that he still has the disease and his immune system would attack his new lungs so he was put on antibiotics to weaken his immune system. Even though he was extremely prone to the flue and recently corona he always was out working on his cars, or visiting us. In about late august 2022 he was getting increasingly I’ll and we were in Florida for vacation. When we got back he was hospitalized. At first the doctors told us he would be fine, but then a couple weeks later he got worse.
So we headed back to the hospital and visited with him. Then the news came he had to be put on life support because he couldn’t breathe on his own, we later found out this was because of his immune system making a last ditch effort to get rid of the new lungs they thought was an invader. He was in terrible condition and because life support he couldn’t eat, so he had to be fed through an IV, which wasn’t enough. This was so sad because we knew his days were numbered. Unfortunately or fortunately however you look at it, we had to say our goodbyes to him. A truly Depressing thing to have to do. He told all of us he loves us and asked heroically to be taken off life support. He said he wanted to see his father god. So they did. They took him off and he passed within 30 minutes of that. It was truly devastating for me being just 12 years old at the time. But in a way he was like a blessing from god.
Thank you for reading this far if you did and god bless you. Have a good day. ❤

I was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis shortly before I turned 40. I have about 50% of my lung volume left now, but before medication it was only about 30%. I appreciate how hard Jared has done, because you have to understand that he hasn't been able to train as fully as a normal person. I myself should gain muscle mass so that I could withstand a possible future lung transplant surgery. It is the only help, medicines only slow down the progress of the disease. I have to pull myself together for the sake of myself and my children. The beginning is difficult because even going up the stairs takes all your strength. But as Jared showed, anything is possible if you want it.

May Allah protect and guide you to his light and happiness in this life and the hereafter. Ameen.
Hello ! Excuse me for giving a little presentation of Islam, because it is very misunderstood nowadays, especially on those « Antichrist's » times, where media and politics are mixed to distort history and truth. And terrorists (puppets of the Antichrist) who misinterpret verses, out of ignorance and political motivations, and take them out of historical context (just like radical atheists do by the way), don't help either. Thank you very much for your time..
Islam is an arabic word that means the Surrender to the One and Only God, our Creator, Protector, Provider, who gives us life and all that we have, we are safe and sound by his will and grace, we are His and to Him we return, and we have to thank him in this trial life by submitting to him by our free will, or later in the Day of judgment when it's too late to save our own skin. Islam was the original Religion descended to earth from heaven with Adam and Eve (peace and blessing be upon them) in the beginning of humanity. and was passed to people with the succession of the 124 000 prophets and 315 messengers of God to all nations and civilizations since, passing by Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Ismaël, Joseph, Moses, Aaron, Joshua, David, Solomon and Jesus (Peace and blessing be upon them) during the history of mankind, the last replaces and completes the previous, until the succession of the last messenger of God fourteen centuries ago, Muhammad (Peace and blessing be upon him) to complete the noble morals of all mankind, to bring humans and jinns out of darkness into light, and to purify people's religion and belief from corruption and polytheism, and return it to purity and true monotheism, like it was in the times of the prophets (Peace and blessing be upon them).._
Many Religions that we know nowadays, at their beginning were true and under Islam, initiated by one of the prophets of God, but their original teachings, history and scriptures have been corrupted over time with falsification and polytheism, or lost and replaced with false ones. That's why Islam is the only Religion accepted by God nowadays, which consists in bearing witness that there is no god besides Allah (God in Aramaic, the original language of Jesus and the Gospel), and that Muhammad is His servant and messenger, just like Jesus and Moses and others are His servants and messengers. Never a messenger of God said he was God or literally son of God, it was the people after him who changed the words of God and corrupted the Religion. God is unique and absolute, He does not need to have a family and sons or to associate anyone else with His kingdom, He can simply create whatever He wants, everything belongs to Him, and to Him everything will return. Allah said in Surah Al-Mu’minun : “God has never begotten a son, nor is there any god besides Him. Otherwise, each god would have taken away what it has created, and some of them would have gained supremacy over others. Glory be to God, far beyond what they describe. The Knower of the hidden and the manifest. He is exalted, far above what they associate. (91-92 / Translated by ITANI)
Allah means the one and only God, the God of all prophets and creatures, the creator of the universe and mankind, and the Master of the Day of judgment, where our destiny, Hell or Paradise, is decided based on our faith and deeds in this trial life, and above all, Allah's mercy.
Allah said in Surah Al-Ikhlas : In the name of God, the Gracious, the Merciful.
Say, “He is God, the One. God, the Absolute. He begets not, nor was He begotten. And there is none comparable to Him.” (1-4 / Translated by ITANI)
Allah said in Surah An-Nisa : O FOLLOWERS of the Gospel! Do not overstep the bounds [of truth] in your religious beliefs, and do not say of God anything but the truth. The Christ Jesus, son of Mary, was but God's Apostle - [the fulfilment of] His promise which He had conveyed unto Mary - and a soul created by Him. Believe, then, in God and His apostles, and do not say, "[God is] a trinity". Desist [from this assertion] for your own good. God is but One God; utterly remote is He, in His glory, from having a son: unto Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is on earth; and none is as worthy of trust as God. Never did the Christ feel too proud to be God's servant, nor do the angels who are near unto Him. And those who feel too proud to serve Him and glory in their arrogance [should know that on Judgment Day] He will gather them all unto Himself: (171-172 / Translated by Muhammad Asad).
Allah the Most Merciful said in Surah Ali-Imran : Behold, the only [true] religion in the sight of God is [man's] self-surrender unto Him; and those who were vouchsafed revelation aforetime took, out of mutual jealousy, to divergent views [on this point] only after knowledge [thereof] had come unto them. But as for him who denies the truth of God's messages - behold, God is swift in reckoning!
Thus, [O Prophet,] if they argue with thee, say, "I have surrendered my whole being unto God, and [so have] all who follow me!" - and ask those who have been vouchsafed revelation aforetime, as well as all unlettered people, "Have you [too] surrendered yourselves unto Him?" And if they surrender themselves unto Him, they are on the right path; but if they turn away - behold, thy duty is no more than to deliver the message: for God sees all that is in [the hearts of] His creatures.
Verily, as for those who deny the truth of God's messages, and slay the prophets against all right, and slay people who enjoin equity - announce unto them a grievous chastisement.
It is they whose works shall come to nought both in this world and in the life to come; and they shall have none to succour them.
(19-22 / Translated by Muhammad Asad)

He has given me the drive to start lifting my weights at home again, to wake up early from now on even if I am on holidays from school and most importantly to *NOT* make excuses. I am a relatively active 15 year old who is decently healthy. Some of the things that stood out from me is that when the narrator said something about living a good quality of life etc. I know I can do better in schhol, so I will. I will study more and be my best self. Jared is a good man who has given drive to people to pick other people up and to tell them make yourself better

Calling him brave is an understatement. Born with a critical condition that kills every single sufferer, Jarod has done something so remarkable and so difficult that even people without any health issues would have a hard time doing this. His perseverance and the amount of commitment it took to do the near impossible (all while that underlying knowledge that he only has so many years to live was in the back of his mind, I'm sure) has pushed him to achieve something that is so incredible and so ridiculously impressive that it shows that life is exactly what you make of it. He could have given up, he could have wallowed in self pity, he could have a billion excuses to not go to that gym every, single day. But he did and he still does. His will to live is remarkable and just incredibly inspiring.

Agreed, and he MAY VERY WELL PROVE that longevity is still possible, if not PROBABLE, with this condition when applying a lifestyle formula such as his; his own N=1. WONDERFUL to see that he is studying nutrition. I would also recommend NAC (N-Acetyl Cysteine), Bromelain with Quercetin, and proteolytic (systemic) enzymes, PLUS hot-and-cold contrast baths/showers, near IF sauna, MAGNESIUM, and OPTIMIZE Vitamin D levels, at a BARE minimum. All very affordable and within reach protocols that will likely have a HUGE impact on quality of life. Then build from there. Just my two (albeit unsolicited) cents. ❤🎈

      Salam (Peace)….._

      Salam (Peace)….._

Hi Jared. I have met 3 or 4 inspirational people in my life. I recently lost a good friend to cancer, until the very end he was grabbing every bit of life he could. I watched an uncle give up on life he went into his shell and never came out, it was sad. I'm 68, in pretty good shape, I hill walk and do the gym, both weights & aerobic. Exercise is wonderful therapy, even when the aches and pains of aging start to bite, it keeps you stronger, more supple & best of all happier What I've learned from people like yourself is to never give in, if ever I get down I think of the people who inspire me, you are now one of them. Thanks

Amazing how so many people complain about their lives and the small troubles they have and you look at what this young man Jared is living with, dealing with and fighting for his life every day. No matter how bad you think you have it, there's so many others out there that have it so much worse. So excited for your turn around, best of luck to you going forward. Keep us all updated on your progress please

For sure, we all could have it a lot worse than some unfortunate souls in the world and we should all keep that in mind, however I don’t think that means you can’t be unhappy with certain things and want to have a better life just because others have it worse

He's such a brave guy for facing his battles regardless of the odds. His story proves that sometimes being stubborn for the sake of fixing ourselves would truly work.

We need to see more of these kinds of videos in the fittuber space. To see someone be told that his life expectancy was 25 at the most, and then went to prove to everyone that building muscle and eating well can literally add years if not decades to your life? This is the kind of stuff we need.
