    Your pushing strength is absurd. Your dips endurance is out of this world

  • @sensam6155

    I used to compete in Olympic Weightlifting. After I quit, I discovered Streetlifting, which i thought was very interesting because it's so similar to Oly, but in upper body lifts! So I trained Streetlifting for about year. But 7 weeks ago I found the video of you and Max True competing in Beast Wars last year. You two inspired me a lot!!
    I figured I could try a 6-week training block focusing on volume instead of intensity. That 6 week block ended yesterday, and I'm 100.00% convinced sets & reps is superior! In just 6 weeks the changes to my body have been unbelievable. At 32 years old, my upper body has NEVER looked this good. I'm gaining muscle, I feel stronger, my joints feel better, and the workouts are more fun! Also, not only are the workouts more fun, I can train more often, and for longer workouts - meaning the total amount of fun is much higher.
    And there is this weird psychological effect that I can't fully explain - where I don't feel like a fake person who is "trying to seem strong" by lifting heavy weights. I feel more free to show my true level, without feeling like I'm putting on an act.
    Even the form in Endurance Style is more pure. The sad truth is that the Streetlifting Dip is not a true dip. There is a lot of leaning forward of the body, the hips barely move below the hands, the shoulders barely move below the elbow, and on the way up people arch their back and push their head back. This method of dips helps you lift more weight, but I think it's less likely to lead to continuous results over many years.
    So thank you very much, Bruno (and Max, as well), for being my inspirations to switch to this style of training!

      What is your high volume workout routine?

    • @sensam6155
      @sensam6155 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@frog6054 It's actually based on Bruno's "Pull Endurance Routine". The only difference is that Bruno put in 5 pulling moves and 2 pushing-moves, for 5 rounds; but I modified to 3 pulling-moves, 3 pushing-moves, for 6 rounds.
      th-cam.com/video/OxzjmBCMpn4/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Ym-JUZoCkU0LA-Rv&t=115
      It's a 40 minute EMOM, where I switch between dips, pullups, parallette pike pushups, chin ups, diamond pushups, neutral chin ups, and then an extra rest.
      After that routine, I take a 10 minute break, and finish with 4 sets of ring bicep curls superset with ring tricep extensions.

      Such an amazing story, bro. Thank you for sharing it; it means a lot to me to be one of your motivations to make that change, especially because in this 10+ years that I've been training calisthenics, I've faced so many accusations of using steroids. But if you really try and give this type of workouts a chance, you can quickly realize how much impact they have on overall performance and body composition. Thank you for giving it a chance, and I'm so glad that you find it as superior as I do! Keep grinding and peace!✌

      @@bruno_zgela You should see accusation as what it really is: you achieved something so much incredible that look almost unreal, in the end it's the best compliment. I really believe this, your body is the best i ever saw perfectly mixing aesthetics and performance, and you achieved and conquered it in the most natural way, using your bodyweight.

    Its insane how bw high reps transition into weights. Insane dip and bench. I think that if you change a bit of form on a pull + without injury, you could add 20 kg. You had the strenght, but form was lacking. Like he said, you have to be more explosive + you have to have chin high. From the video I though you had that 60kg. Just the chin was not high enough to count. Maybe even lean a bit more back (like with more retraction) to go just up and down. It was kinda like you were protracting your scapula, so it was limiting you from reaching the bar. But anyway thats just my points from the video. You are crazy strong and its mindblowing how much weight you did, considering the amount of time you tried your max (if even once). So big up man

    • @bruno_zgela
      @bruno_zgela  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Thank you brother for the advices, I'm definitelly missing some technique because I'm just not used to this, but with some practice the numbers could easily go up, especially on pullups since I really felt like I have enough strength but I couldn't transition it because my tendons were incredibly sore from just holding onto the bar. I'll give this another try in a near future with everything I learned because I'm curious how much can just a better techique add up to the scale.🙏🏼👊🏼

    I think the results were impressive😁💪💪💪👍! Especially on the dips and the bench press. Congrats. On the pulling I think with a minimal modification on the technique it could be better, but what I want to ask is what kind of injury do you have? Golfers (or maybe tennis) elbow? And how do you dealing with that? I think a video targeting this would be awesome. I have my own routine what I'm doing right now for the golfers elbow, but I'm not sure how effective will it be😅😁😁.

      Thank you brother ! I actually have both, tennis and golfers so pull can be rally painfull for me even at a bodyweight right now, but I still wanted to try it for a content although this is really not my max.
      I treat both of these injuries by lowering volume ob my pull exercises while also doing some extra exercises for strengthening my tendons, streching them more often and massaging them. I can feel a slight improvement but I still think that I'm going to visit a professional and get that fixed up because I'm dragging it for quite some time so it's really messing with my progress.😬
