no power after screen replacement, probably customer replaced screen with the battery still plugged in,worst scenario he may have ended up with a dead GPU or chipset after shorting the 19v to data lines

he didnt drain the power lines using the power button pushed after disconnecting battery. can result in this too. or a static short.
Weird. It seems they are pretty sturdy, actually. I got a 4K screen, with an adapter into the TUF F516PM, where the manufacturer shipped them with 1080p/144Hz or 1440p/60Hz. It runs the 4K/60Hz panel without problems. (The AUO41EB works ok and has 500 nits, up for grabs for about £100, has 10 bit support and full NTSC+DCI P3 color gamut, it will just need a 40 pin to smaller 40 pin adapter, from 0.5mm to 0.45mm between pins, no other mods.)

How does he instantly decide to test the second mosfet next to the DC power and knows which pin is the drain ? Is it with experience ? Is it common in laptops in general ?
It is absolutely experience! He knows that the power comes in through the fuse and to the Mosfets and knows these Mosfets are common on these and the pin out. With a trained eye you can easily spot the gate since it is a single pin and going to the thin trace. The drain typically has all 4 pins opposite the gate side and goes to the same large high current trace. The other 3 pins beside the gate are typically the source and go to a larger trace together also.

im surprised at how many asus laptops you work on, ive had 4 asus laptops during my life and used all of them for a long time and never had any problems with the board nor anything else

Laptop repair 101 - unplug the battery. Screen replacement with plugged in battery = dead laptop.
You can't leave us hanging like this ....
Plug your screen connector while battery is still connected in a second thats what you will get as result.

Maybe he's referring to the owner of this laptop... someone who thought they could repair one thing (screen replacement), but then they end up destroying the rest of the laptop as a result of having no idea what they're doing!
Then again, he may be talking about the inability to get the OEM parts needed from the manufacturers.
In which case, he should've said "This is the problem with NOT having right to repair".
