Actually a good part of it is California regulations and the idiots in the government making other issues.

    • @jankoodziej877
      @jankoodziej877 ปีที่แล้ว +3

I doubt that. For the agent it's little difference compared to what they get in total, and this is not just bigger risk, it also prolongs the whole thing, which means the agent actually gets less money per time spent. It's not the agent doing this.

The image processing on that microscope is so impressive, you can see how it's trying to stabilize the clarity of the finer contrast details, eg. markings on chips, while also enhancing the illusion of depth perception, awesome equipment.

It's a well-known fact that we entertain the same class level customer as the prices we charge. My favorite response to my "Life Hacker" customers was, "Sorry, it's not free".... and I was not shy about saying it, even in front of 15 people standing behind them in line....Customers are, what you teach them to be.

That repair was caused by the ground screw next to it was loose and arcing , and made high resistance to ground at that cap and high heat causing failure, I find a lot of arcing on the ground screws like that on these boards. Keep up the good videos Thank you😁

Real estate is like this all over the US. It's even like this on the east coast. I have been looking for a house since around COVID as well. Houses are going for way more than they're worth and people are still over bidding.

As someone who did $20 quotes (20 years ago) I can confirm, it'll end your business. The worst one was getting a win (which means actually repairing it) then the customer knocking back a $120 repair and saying "I'll just buy a new TV". So we removed parts or undid the repair, charged them $20 and lost money time and time again. The new one they bought at the time was likely not as good as the one they had.
When there was thunderstorms the front of my shop was full of televisions and other damaged items, I should have been raking it in with quote fees, but instead we were set back weeks with angry customers on the phone.
You should have heard the insurance company complaining when I changed my quotes to $40! They were not happy!
I do I.T. now, but would I run a repair shop again today with the knowledge I have now? NO WAY! I hate STUPID customers and prefer my sanity.

Well said: stupid customers. Stupid, thinking they know all and on top of everything demanding that they are entitled to everything. They are the worse. I show them the door and hope to not see them and their kind ever again. Unfortunately, there's so many of them. Fortunately, my door works both ways and they can go right through the door they were coming through.
To see them go brings me so much peace LOL

Good luck with getting the house. Will cross my fingers that you get it.
Bidding on houses are shown many times here in Sweden to be scams. Houses been on the market for some time, noone interested. As soon as you call and give them a bid, several others pop up from nowhere and start bidding. Now we have a new law forsing the agents to show the byer who was bidding and how much.
Thank you for sharing your house and repair journey.

It's the same with every industry, a final price always sounds expensive until you see what goes into it to generating that price. Customers never see the man hours, rent or insurances etc to run a business. They only ever compare your price to how much they earn & how much the item costs them to purchase.

It's honestly dependent one of the houses we looked as this madness started going down was actually at the point where they were asking 140 and the agent said they'll take 136 because the last few people backed out. Which was a shame its was a meh house, but would have been a pretty great office/workshop.

If you would slowly but religiously write the experiences and new tricks that you learn from repairing just asus laptops alone, I feel like you could write a book about it. Something like "a technician's guide to repairing asus laptops". The sudden click you get when you first inspect the board and know 9/10 what the problem is is very interesting to see. Something knowledge can't get out of experience.

Me and my family need nothing more. The moment I finished buying the house and fixing whatever it needed to be fixed, my life became a lot more peaceful. Apart from a few more 0.4mm stencils for DDR6 I have absolutely everything I want. Maybe a little bit more 0.4mm leaded balls needed too but that's it 😂.

Reverse psychology by realtors as well. Both realtors get a percentage so there is zero incentive by the realtors, the Title Company, the Mortgage Company - everyone in the food chain to get a bargain as the higher price benefits them all. In the old days realtors had a monopoly on the listings (MLS) and the average Joe needed them to know what was on the market and what was the logical price for a neighborhood. Now you have Zillow and other options. You can find it on your own. Note the national real estate market is cooling as the rates are rising. Three years ago you had once in a lifetime low rates. Now they are heading back up.

However if they can not fix it, the will extract expensive parts sometimes.

We max out our soldering iron's temperature, as well as using a maxed out air blower. Both are set to 900F. This only possible after using an even hotter heat gun to remove the heat sinks from the other side.. I feel like this way too much heat, what am i doing wrong?
